I can’t really understand.. i read this how many times but why i can’t understand JC.. i only understand that WWX core is with him.. it means that WWX didn’t broke his promise because his golden core is still assisting at him everytime.. I cant ever get how people can still hate JC being angry at WWX after reading this. You are being too unfair and one sided. Ofcourse us readers would get why WWX did what he did but JC was never able to understand. He can never understand how he was willing to risk everything just for the Wen Sect and even be willing to abandoned him because obviously he and JC grew up together and are almost like a family so how can WWX choose them so easily over him and Jiang Sect. Honestly, this chapter only shows some of the reasons for some of the problems. I don’t want to give away too much in my comment but I want to share my own thoughts after reading so many of other people comments. There are some who completely hate WWX and some who hate JC. If being honest, I understand both of their situations. When I was watching the drama I was mad at JC but now that I’m reading the novel, I understand him. There’s too many misunderstandings between JC and WWX and it makes me so upset. They had such a beautiful relationship and it got ruined…but people should stop blaming JC because if u see his childhood and what happened with him, then I understand why he’s like this. Their brotherhood is beyond all of us. I do believe JC treasures WWX a lot and wanted him to stay by his side, just as WWX has promised him back then. Even with his competitive and violent nature inherited from his mother, he really did care and love WWX a lot, like a real family. I read some comments and I’m just baffled where exactly did you see examples of brotherly love from JC towards WY? Is it time for me to start wearing glasses? Cause I can see JYL standing up for him and supporting him but did JC? I mean there obviously is strong emotional bond. But bond is just bond, it can be good, bad, healthy or toxic. Maybe its too late for me to say this but the imo JC did the best of what he could’ve Somewhere along the way they grew up with fucked up notions and parentings and ofc that is not an excuse. I have a question: isn’t WWX soul in Mo Xuanyu’s body? Since MX is (isn’t he?) a cultivator, doesn’t he have a golden core of his own? Is WWX still unable to wield Suibian even with that? Although I do acknowledge JC’s countless flaws and condemn his pride and immaturity, I could never bring myself to dislike him. I felt his bitterness when he lost his parents, JYL, and then WY. With them gone, he was left alone with nothing or no one to help him fix that hole in his heart. People need to understand that he’s hurting too.

Kind of like… despite all the shit he did to WWX, if WWX doesn’t hate him, why should I… why can I? First of all, JC is a sect leader who had to build his sect literally from the scratch since everyone went bye-bye at the massacre.
