I have read this MDZC novel twice without holding an actual book in my hand. The first time the novel came out one chapter at a time, after the watch The Untamed and found there was a book! The second time I can read the entire novel at my leisure without anxiously waiting for another chapter to come out (annoying, right? K and Sir Addis). The online dictionary was a treasure as I refer to it often time to check a Chinese translation or look up an English word I am not familiar with. I have to thank the author… Read more »

That was very beautiful. I love reading the author’s thoughts the most. I admit. I finished all the main story after a little over a week, but I still do not fully understand the story!!! How funny.

It’s nice to see the author admit she has a hidden dark side. All she had to do when writing Xue Yang was enter sadist mode. And I agree with the author that it was best to not chop up the lengthy flashbacks.
Thanks a lot to all who were involved in translating this novel.

I’m having withdrawals right now I know what Ive read was the end and there are some extra chapters but somehow im afraid to finish the whole novel 🙁 because this is the first chinese bl novel that i’ve read patiently and who knew that I would cry 🥺 this motivated me also to write, but gosh, im just really afraid with the feeling of having that excitement rushing through your veins whenever you click the next chapter because I know i’m nearing the end and to my actual surprise the main story was finish and the left chapters was… Read more »

This is the third time I’m experiencing this story (TV, Chinese book, English translation), with each version providing precious details not available in previous versions. I love the humour and the humanity of the story, the depth of LWJ’s love for WWX, the wonderful parade of Chinese supernatural beings, as well as some highly relateable themes on the viciousness and absurdity of public opinion. This is now one of my favourite books (despite being my first BL) and one of the best CHN->ENG translations I’ve ever seen. Kudos to the author and translator for doing such a fine job. I just want to thank you both author and translator K, for their effort and love that put into this work. I really really enjoyed reading this novel so much that I don’t know how to describe it. I was so much eager to end the story but now that I finished it I’m also sad and heavy heart that its end.
And i also liked the poem which author mentioned in her postscript but unfortunately I couldn’t find the whole poem 🙁

So Jin Ling was supposed to die and become a fierce corpse instead of Wen Ning in original? wow that’d be sad but also kind of cool? hhhhh

After watching the anime 3 times i searched for the book and have read this awesome translation 5 times now. It is such an amazing story and i cannot imagine living without it. So happy it gave birth to Untamed as well as i go back to the drama and anime and manhua (until it was taken down😢😢) each time i read the book. Thanks to such a talented writer that makes me want to live in this book. And.. the wonderful translators. Your hard work is very much appreciated. 💙. I am absolutely infatuated with this lady’s writing and… Read more »

I honestly just came to find this translated novel from after watching the series adaptation “The Untamed”. It was just a suggestion that I watch it. After more than a week of finishing the episodes I was hooked. I couldn’t let go of the characters, the story etc. and find it in my mind that there’s somethings unanswered and left hanging. I searched for the novel, but I realized my chinese comprehension is only basic and cannot understand a novel itself. 😅 Therefore I search for translations. I thank you, K, and your team so much. Conveying the emotions, the… Read more »

Reading authors’ postcripts always make me happy, especially the author of a novel I fell in love with. I watched the donghua a few months back and I wasn’t satisfied. It was great, but I knew there was more to the relationship of the two. The manhua skipped a lot, too. This novel satisfied me so well and gave me a lot of surprises. The only regret I have is not reading this sooner despite knowing its existence from way back in around 2018. I haven’t commented until now but, thank you so much for translating this wonderful novel, K-san!… Read more »

Thank you so much to author for writing such a great story and translators for translating in English for international fans.
And and and Author, even though she really killed wen ning like she wanted to but thank you for not killing him fully (yes he’s dead but you know what I mean) and kicked him out of the novel Now he’s more powerful and can help wwx when he needs and even ending for wen ning is satisfying 😭❤️ Thank you so much ❤️❤️
