I read this novel for the third time, watch the current manhua and the animated series, watch the Untamed( twice). I am addicted to WangXian and this novel. What else can I read or watch? I have ultimately reached the last page after all… I’ve been reading novels massively since a very young age, but I don’t think I will ever get used to the feeling of getting to “the end” of them. I can’t quite put words into it, a feeling of loss…? I simply have no words… thank you. I’m overwhelmed. such a ride. I kept rereading chapters, extras, delaying the end haha. But this novel – including the translator’s notes! from start to finish- has really taken me higher. I felt so much, in my heart, my belly, my spirit. Just wow. I’m a fan. I Seriously didnt want the end to come so soon , I didnt wanted to part ways with wangxian so I dared not read the last chapter rather halted it for like around 2-3 months just becoz of the fear that after I finally read the last chapter I am gonna really bid farewell to them…but the end is here & I am feeling all the roller coasters of emotion…I m crying in happiness as they have their happy ending but theres a blank space in my heart becoz the novel has indeed come to the end…😭😭😭 I love them… Read more »

Gosh, what a journey. I have been thinking about what drew me into this story and, perhaps more importantly, what kept me coming back. I suppose there have been epic gay love stories before, but have any been told amid such grand settings, in such a climate of opposition, with so much thrilling back story? It’s hard to imagine the amount of work the author would have gone through to weave something so complex and absorbing.
