BEAUTIFUL CHAPTER.
Holy fudge i thought the scene in the anime was already awesome, but the novel is on a whole different level of awesomeness.
Also, i know that Lan WangJi was probably uncomfortable with how Wei WuXian was using the demonic art & stroking the female ghost’s hair, but i can’t help to think that LWJ was jealous of the ghost lol

Now that I think about, maybe at some point WWX just really HAD to die so that the darkness in his heart would be reset. It’s because Lan Wangji was precisely right that cultivating the wrong path affects both mind and hearts and as a result, WWX turning into a more arrogant and more hot-headed personality that even his future self cringed after seeing his past self.

I’m more than willing to cheer for Wuxian to torture Wen Chao to death, but at the same time my heart broke into a million pieces when he spoke coldly to Lan Wangji like that. Lan Wangji probably felt more heartbroken though, witnessing that the Wei Ying he once knew was nothing more than a cold stranger to him now.
He just wants his friend (that he has fallen in love with) back to his old pathetic, frivolous, and ridiculous self. 💔

My second round in this party and it still as thrilled as my first time.. (i would try my third round after this)
This is one of the chapter that i like (not to mention drunk LWJ chapthers).
His dark way maybe not the best path, but it was the fastest and one of the most powerful.

oof. I loved the grotesque, horror-like way of approaching this type of scenes. The gore is very well-executed. But! This is a common mistake that authors commit (and I’m not going to demonize the author for making it), because not many people actually understand how castration works. Basically, if you’ve already gone through puberty, your voice doesn’t change, whatever might be amputated. It’s due to testosterone; and mutation is irreversable. Castrati/eunuchs had/have high voices, because their main source of T had been amputated before it had time to work its magic. If anyone reading this is an aspiring author, remember… Read more »

So he (Wen Chao) really was castrated? I didn’t understand the innuendo.. But it seems like that’s what Wei WuXian is implying, right? Judging by Jiang Cheng’s reaction? I’m confused because that was a reply to the question ‘why Wen Chao’s voice is high pitched’.. Voice doesn’t get affected, does it?

While WWX and JC reuniting (that hug <3) and getting their revenge was nice, I felt so bad for Lan Zhan! He just wants Wei Ying to remain his warm, cheerful self, but Wei Ying thinks he's condemning him.
And them calling each other by their common names instead of their birth names. Why not just shove a knife in my heart and twist it, MXTX?! *sobs in a corner*

Even I am scared of Wei Ying. He is such a smexy badass YiLing Patriach. You can really feel how frightening he is even when he’s being mishievous. And of course, watching how those evil Wens die is very satisfying. Serves them right.

oh my god…………. wwx turned into the scariest, the worst of the worst. when jiangchen came in between wen chao’s bodyguard and wwx, i thought “uh……i think the wen sect is the LEAST of your worries. you should probably be more worried about who the hell your old friend has become…..” i thought wwx was the founder of demonic cultivation? then who wrote the book in the cave? that means someone else created it after seeing this horribly cruel side of him, how could lanzhan still feel love for him? i dont understand…… and the modern day wwx in mo… Read more »

Such a powerful chapter!! I know I wanted Wen Chao and his woman to suffer, knowing what they did… but WuXian and Jiang Cheng’s faces and hearts distorted by revenge… This wasn’t how I wanted it. WangJi was both jealous of that adult ghoul and so worried for his beloved. His heart must be shattered from the huge difference between the cheerful, teasing, heroic boy he knew, and this cold and cruel stranger with the same features.
