WWX’s soul never shattered right? Then where was his spirit all those years before he was reincarnated?
This is so touching. I wish we get more backstory between the parents of Lan brothers. I feel LXC take after his gentle mother and LWJ takes after his father. Would like to know why their mother kill their father’s teacher… another instance where Empathy could be use… but the author chose not to farther this part of the story just like many others mentioned before thats not the focus of the main story. I just want to hug something. The title of this arc, Tenderness, is so apt. And puts my mind at ease after the action and violence of the past few chapters… despite wringing my heart dry with its melancholic, bitter sweet tone…. XiChen… I just want a soul mate for him, one who understands him and is as utterly devoted to him as WangJi is to WuXian (in my mind I pair XiChen with YanLi :)) The 2 brothers had such a sad childhood. I think Lan Xichen told Wei Ying their past because he knows that Lan Zhan will always love Wei Ying and be with him. Second time reading this but still the feels is still the same! There is a tug in my heart in reading Lan Zhan’s past and how his father and his story are almost the same. He was brought up by his strict uncle, to be always righteous, then suddenly falling in love with Wei Ying who also suddenly cultivates the evil path. This chapter is beautiful in so many ways. LXC knows what his brother wants and he supports him. In the library, he noticed that they are rather very close so he decided to tell WWX the secret that only Lan sect people know, kinda including in his family. I’m worried about lan xichen…. everyone wants him to find his soulmate already like wangji, but i cannot imagine such a person… and the author couldn’t leave him without a mate in the story…. and then he is going to use the evil song on himself….. also the author loves piercing our hearts by throwing angst at us…. i feel the author is gonna kill him off in the end (i hope i’m dead wrong)
