I’m just imagining a scene where LWJ and WWX get into a conversation about kissing and WWX talks about his first kiss and LWJ is just like ‘ooooooh sh!t!!’ and then he talks about HIS first kiss and then WWX is just like ‘ooooooooh sh!t!!!!’ and then they get it on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I really thought that their first kiss was when WWX kissed a drunk LWJ. But it’s actually LWJ who initiated their first kiss! And both kisses happened when the other either was blindfolded(WWX) or can’t recall the event(LWJ). Aren’t they both shameless?

Too bad Wei Ying can only detect “killing” intent & not “kissing” intent.
I REALLY CANNOT BELIEVE LWJ WOULD DO THAT WOW and he seems like he couldn’t believe it either judging from his little explosion with the trees 😂 and he is so whipped its so funny like everything WWX gave him or had in the past, LWJ still keeps it for example: – the perfume sachet becoming his wallet purse – the Emperor Smile wine hidden under his floorboards – the matching brand on the chest which I feel like LWJ gave to himself while drunk if what I inferred from Lan XiChen (from previous chaps) was right – the two… Read more »

I would love to have the author write a version of this story using Lan Zhen’s perspective Of the entire events. Being able to see his thoughts and feelings would be a great contrast to the current Wei Ying’s perspective and I imagine would be very popular for fans who would buy and support the author with this.

The boy is really funny who never learned to woo a maiden because the maidens always flocked to him on their own like a scourge of mosquitoes.
And this chapter explains really well why Lan WangJi likes to soak in that cold spring in the Cloud Recesses. His evil fire’s just too strong for him to handle. It also explains why he keeps Wei WuXian at a distance all the time in their youth. Only after becoming an “old” man can he control himself enough to barely take the boy’s teasing.
