Ooof I would have had such a hard time keeping my mouth shut when A-Li was “apologizing” to the other sects if I was Wei Ying. Jealousy is so ugly – Wei Yong broke no rules.. Can’t fault him for being clever!
I always think JC have some jealousy towards WWX, from his father’s attention to WWX’s cultivation abilities.. Even after the Tortoise of slaughter episode JC had burst out his thought on it and was only assured by wwx’s words that he’ll always support JC when he become sect leader, at this chapter perhaps JC thought even now after he become sect leader WWX still have the spotlight and outshines him.. Poor JC he needs hugs..
