i can’t begin to imagine how heartbroken young WangJi was because of the changes that happened to WuXian and also because of how hopeless his feelings must had seemed to him at the time. WuXian has a life time of making up to do.
LWJ is the only one worried about WWX’s well-being and it’s so heartbreaking. Not only is he seeing “the signs” as he put it, but also he must’ve noticed the hostility of the other cultivators toward WWX. He must sense that something terrible could happen and he doesn’t want to lose him 😢
Jiang Cheng, Wei Wuxian and Jiang YanLi in the past are so adorable T_T Wei Wuxian used to be so scared, thankfully he was able to smile later after everything that happened to him. Jiang Cheng saying that he’ll chase dogs away for him was so precious <3 No wonder Wei Wuxian adores Jiang YanLi, she is so sweet and kind to him from the beginning.
I’ve just realized that WY said he would save half or a dozen of Emperial’s Smile and drink them all at once if he had the chance to return to Gusu, LZ probably remembered that and later started to hide the liquor waiting for him to return. It’s freaking warm my heart!
Oh my goodness, it’s the bookmark! LWJ, you are such a hopeless romantic for keeping such a thing! And he’s so concerned about WWX here…His poor heart. It must ache so badly every time this happens…

Seeing how sweet Jiang YanLi was really breaks my heart and I can’t imagine how much it hurts for WWX (even tho we don’t know how he was involved in her death yet). I guess we can only cling onto the image of the three siblings all together and JYL being the sweet pillar b/w the two.
Wei Ying throwing a peony (which means “wishing you will return my feelings,” according to the audio drama) at Lan Zhan was so cute! And poor Lan Zhan, he’s just concerned for WWX, but the latter won’t even take him seriously.
Seeing Wei Ying, JC, and JYL interacting (especially JC and Wei Ying) as kids and basically promising to protect each other is just killing my heart. It’s crazy how time can change things.

Gah, my thoughts are all over the place! At first I thought WuXian had hired some girls… but no, they weren’t those kind. Offering flowers to WangJi was very nice… until we learned about those girls. WangJi… he must be so worried yet WuXian persists. My heart is aching even though I know they stand on the same side in the future (except for one being reticent and the other being clueless!) This is a flashback and at this point in time, Wei Wuxian has not become the Yiling Patriach yet. I’m confused about why you keep using Yiling Patriach to identify him?
He only gets that name after he saves and starts living in Yiling. Or am I mistaken?

I feel complicated with Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian. The way Lan Wangji feels with what Wei Wuxian has become and Wei Wuxian wanting to go back and finding that the people who were once part of his daily life not there anymore.
i can’t begin to imagine how heartbroken young WangJi was because of the changes that happened to WuXian and also because of how hopeless his feelings must had seemed to him at the time. WuXian has a life time of making up to do.
