Re the ch. or the novel as a whole, I see the slight differences with the tv series but this novel gives me more idea behind the tv series and the tv series gave me faces or images of persons to link to the story. They complement each other.
PS WWX is so reasonable and intelligent. He makes alot of sense and cannot be weakèned by the power hungry.

When I read Lan Wanji said to his brother that he wants to bring someone back to Gusu, I didn’t have much reaction but when he wholeheartedly said ” Take him back… and hide him somewhere”, I just teared up. Thrn, Lan Xichen’s story about their parents flashbacked 😭 Lan Wangji really is like his father and seems to want to follow his sacrifice 😭
