++ and ouyang zizhen who stood up for wwx in front of his dad, and not hesitating to trust and fight alongside him bc despite hearing the rumors abt wwx, he actually spent time with him and was saved by him, so he knew to think for himself, even going against everyone else.

I had a hard time at the beginning of this novel with JingYi’s blatant homophobia. And look here, over the course of the novel, now JingYi is one of WWX’s biggest supporters. Oooo I love these juniors. I love how they’re admiring Senior Lan’s swordsmanship in the middle of a fricking bloodbath.

Wait does anyone else realize the the symbolism of Wei Ying tearing off his sleeve for Wangji? The term cutsleeve comes from the story of an emperor tearing off his own sleeve for his gay lover which is similar to what Wei Ying did for Wangji.
