Omg these last few chapters almost gave me whiplash. So much has happened, and the author’s talent for sudden twists is really incredible. I hope Wei Wuxian and Jin Ling are ok though. Jin Guangyao is such a terrifying villan, someone so evil with such a kind facade.

You know, I gotta say, this novel is so much better thought out than a lot of Chinese novels. Douluo dalu has so much repetition, stellar transformations has a lot of inconsistencies, and although I liked and read them, this is just so much better:D thanks for sharing it with us.

Jin Ling is too careless, I’m always worried about his safety too, good thing WWX was there. I hope everything turns fine for him too in the end, he already suffered a lot for being a kid. Once again, thank you for my weekly dose of GDC!

Just wondering:
1. What was Xichen doing when the arrow flew towards Jin Ling? He wasn’t intending to block it at all?
2. Was Wen Ning able to detect Wangji’s strong scent on Wuxian?
3. Why did Jin Ling hesitate before greeting his own uncle? Considering that Jin Ling stabbed Wuxian, I would have thought uncle and nephew are pally with each other.

It’s a plot to kill him in order to take control and the “seal of the tiger”. Lan Xichen will never betray his sect and will not hurt innocent people. Back to Cloud Recess, he followed Jin Guanyao after telling Lan Zhan and Wei Ying to take a different path and leave. This series is so damn good. Read the manga, then watched the ONA, and then desperately read the novel translations haha. Chinese is hard to translate (I’m Chinese) and I imagine wuxia type stories even more so…so I just wanted to say your work is greatly appreciated and thanks so much for translating! =)
Hmmm…here’s a theory. What if the “mastermind” who is turning people against JGY is the most harmless person they know? The one they’d least expect…someone who might have a grudge against JGY and was friendly with with WWX. Hmmmm…food for thought
