The first lady was named Liu Shuyun, a concubine daughter of the Liu Shi Clan, the last of the four Sects of Refining Artifact, born of the patriarch Liu Chenghe and a concubine.

At first, He Yuanqi had a marriage contract with the Liu family’s first daughter, but just a few days before the wedding, the first daughter had an argument with her father and took a horse. They did not expect her to never return. After getting on the horse, the horse suddenly upended, and the first daughter fell off the horse and died.
