Chapter 59: Deserted Village 1; Ghost Village

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Chen Yang saw Du Shuo looking at something like a dossier on the sofa in their room. He hugged Du Shuo from behind and leaned on his back, resting his chin on the top of Du Shuo’s head while looking down, “What is this?”

Du Shuo, shook the dossier like a newspaper and closed it to place on the side. He then took Chen Yang’s hand and pulled him into his arms. It was an intimate embrace, and their hands and feet were entwined. “This is a batch of files that were sent to Fengdu to present their grievances in the City of Wasted Death.”

Chen Yang nestled into Du Shuo’s arms, picked up the dossier beside him and asked, “Can I take a look?” After receiving an affirmative answer, he opened it to read, “Mn? The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law often quarrel. The mother-in-law was so angry with her daughter-in-law that she drank pesticide to kill herself. So, she wanted to teach her daughter-in-law a lesson on the seventh day of her life but accidentally scared her daughter-in-law to death… Uh, this is the kind of thing you trial over?”

Du Shuo’s slender index finger pressed against his forehead, his face a little dark, “There used to be five ghost emperors, seventy-two nether regions leaders, and the hell prison master to judge and these trivial matters would basically be left to their judgment. The people who are not guilty of the most heinous crimes do not need to report to Fengdu, let alone be submitted to my caseload. But some time ago, Wu Lingjiu escaped from hell. Now there is a shortage of staff because of all the ghosts in hell.”

Chen Yang chuckled a few times, “Basically, you brought this upon yourself, right?” If Du Shuo hadn’t been so angry and banished so many officials, he would not be so busy and he could have stayed home almost all night.

Du Shuo helplessly bit Chen Yang’s cheek and whispered, “You are happy to see me busy? Before, you were worried about me being so busy that I would have no vacation? Now you’ve changed so quickly. Now you’re laughing at me.”

Chen Yang shrank his shoulders and laughed, “Before I thought you were a kid, being exploited and oppressed, of course I felt pain. Now I know that you are the biggest slave master, why should I be hurt? Besides, when I scolded the Fengdu Emperor in front of you, you really listened to me scolding you without changing your expression. You didn’t look angry and embarrassed at all.

Du Shuo laughed silently, but didn’t answer the question. He was really worried about his wife’s old scores. Now that he was wearing the embroidered pig’s head in front of his subordinates, the group of ghosts didn’t know what was going on. They thought it might be some new netherworld technique to embroider pig heads on their clothes. Their embroidery skills were so poor and seeing this embroidery was simply a disgrace.

Later, the group of incompetent ghosts went to the city of the dead and the hell to look for old embroiderers who had not been reincarnated for hundreds of years, and they were able to look and style better. The emperor secretly observed and compared styles, and finally decided that the young wife had the best embroidery skills.

As for Chen Yang, he complained in front of him that the Fengdu Emperor was too oppressive to his employees. Du Shuo, as the emperor, couldn’t follow the scolding and couldn’t explain, so he had to be his faithful little friend.

Chen Yang’s whole body was shrunken, Du Shuo had long arms and legs, his figure was a head taller than him. His shoulders were much broader than his. After all, one was a grown man and the other had just shed his milky youthfulness. His body shape was still slightly thin in comparison. When Chen Yang curled up his arms and legs into Du Shuo’s embrace, he looked like a big child being picked up.

Chen Yang’s back was against Du Shuo’s chest, and the latter’s chin was resting on his shoulder. Chen Yang asked, “Are you still busy now?”

Du Shuo took out the dossier in his hand and threw it aside, “Arrangements have been made to replace the out-of-service ghosts in the Yin Division, the five ghost emperors, the six cases of the Cao of Merit and the ten halls of Yan Lo are each doing their job. Zhou Qi went to Mountain with the Western Ghost Emperor to govern. There was some chaos, but now they have restored calm.”

Everything was in order and back to normal. When Wu Lingjiu fled from hell, he buried some roots of trouble in hell, which all burst out at once while he hid for twenty years. It caused hell and Fengdu to fall into chaos, giving Wu Lingjiu a chance to exact his plans to restore the ghost kingdom in the human realm. This was why Du Shuo was so angry that he banished many ghost officials in Fengdu, eliminating some of the ghosts who did not uphold their duties, and replacing many ghosts in hell.

Du Shuo was not worried about Wu Lingjiu’s escape from hell, but only informed the Daoist Association to pay attention to the arrest of Wu Lingjiu. As for himself, he was the first to deal with the crime of negligence of the Netherworld internal divisions and restored order to it. He said, “Wu Lingjiu has escaped from hell for twenty years, so he must have a way to hide his whereabouts. If we take the initiative to look for him, we may not be able to find him and he may find our trail and play with it. So why not wait until he can’t resist taking the initiative? Then he’ll reveal himself.”

Wu Lingjiu loved to play with people’s hearts and was good at figuring out others. Even if he took the initiative, he would have his plan seen through quickly, and would be led by the nose instead. Therefore, it was better to play it safe, because Du Shuo had time to play with Wu Lingjiu. But Wu Lingjiu did not necessarily have time to spend. He already spent twenty years in the Yang world. As long as he moves, the lonely ghosts, the Ghosts of the Five Lakes and Four Seas, the ghosts of the netherworld, the heavenly masters of the Yang world, the police, and so on could find him.

If any one of these groups found him, the whole world of Tianshis, including the House of Yin, would know. Wu Lingjiu was powerful, but the whole world of Tianshis and the House of Yin could take him on. The other party also brought trouble to Du Shuo and annoyed him. Could his body still be brought back?

Du Shuo slightly narrowed his eyes which showed a dangerous and horrible mood. “The most undesirable thing is that Wu Lingjiu dares to hit you.” He cupped the back of Chen Yang’s neck and planted a light kiss on the white skin, “How dare he?!”

Chen Yang grabbed Du Shuo’s hand across his waist and said, “He is similar to me, does he want to hit me for my flesh? If he steals my body, I might not be able to fight him.”

Chen Yang was almost certain of Wu Lingjiu’s plot, both of them were of the Supreme Yin physique and shared the practice of Ghost arts techniques. Wu Lingjiu was more than 700 years older than Chen Yang. He also had 700 years more cultivation, and is an evil spirit that had spent hundreds of years in hell. If the opponent really wanted to snatch Chen Yang’s body to return to Yang, then Chen Yang would definitely not have the strength to fight back.

Du Shuo squeezed the back of Chen Yang’s neck with one movement, stretched out his index finger to hook the red rope as well as the half piece of jade he was wearing around his neck with his trigger finger, and put it in front of Chen Yang’s eyes. He said, “This is a half piece of the Fengdu Emperor’s Seal. If you combine it with the Fengdu Emperor’s Heart Seal, you will be able to use its full power. Then a hundred demons will be invaded and all evil will be killed. Even Wu Lingjiu will not be able to stand against you.”

Chen Yang knew the greatness of the Fengdu Emperor’s Seal. There were countless Daoist magic seals, among which the most famous and ranked in the front is the Fengdu Emperor’s Seal. In addition to that of the Heavenly Master, Fengdu Emperor was a Taoist god who was in charge of all the ghosts. If he decides to pardon a ghost, judge the crime, or let it ascend to heaven, all the ghosts dare not disobey. If you see the seal, it was like seeing the emperor. All the ghosts would be put to death, and no evil would be able to invade.

Chen Yang cupped half of Fengdu Emperor’s seal, looked back sideways and met Du Shuo’s eyes, “You give me this, isn’t it troublesome to use the seal normally?”

The seal was needed when dealing with Fengdu events, and the missing half of it was half of the magic power. However, if he lost half of his magic power, could he still deter the 100,000 ghosts of the whole netherworld?

Du Shuo, “I still have the Heart Seal.”

Chen Yang asked softly, “Will it be inconvenient?”

“No.” Du Shuo took the half piece of the seal back from Chen Yang’s hand and put it properly into Chen Yang’s clothes and said, “There is no big difference to me between using the heart seal and using the law seal.”

Chen Yang curved his lips, eyebrows. With his eyes smiling, holding Du Shuo’s trigger finger, he kissed the half jade piece. “Although the Wu grandfather taught me Ghost arts, and later you urged me to learn witchcraft, but truly the evil spirits no longer covet my flesh because of this half jade.”

In their first year of the engagement, Du Shuo had not yet given him the jade. At that time, he relied on the yang energy on the ancient bronze coin left to him by Grandpa Wu to suppress his own yin energy. One day, when Chen Yang was still worried about this, Du Shuo put his jade seal on a red string and put it around Chen Yang’s neck.

The half piece of the Fengdu Emperor’s seal was like an invisible shroud that enveloped his whole body with Yin energy, but also brought some evil spirits that coveted the seal. Later on, his witchcraft became stronger and stronger, and he was able to conceal the pressure of the seal, so that the ghosts could not detect it and could no longer covet it. The only thing Chen Yang didn’t know at the time was that the jade ring was the Fengdu Emperor’s seal, he only thought it was a problem with his own physique.

Du Shuo, “Wear it. If you are in danger, I will immediately know.”

Chen Yang turned his head sideways and craned his neck backwards to capture Du Shuo’s lips. As soon as he touched them, he couldn’t tear them away and they were fiercely intertwined. His breathing difficulty increased before he backed away. Du Shuo pinched the back of his neck like pinching his lifeline, not only was he unable to escape but he automatically offered himself to him.

“Ah mn…” Chen Yang unconsciously spilled out a little moan. Soon his lips and tongue and voice were swallowed by Du Shuo, who always had a very dominant and controlling, and overwhelming position in the room. If it wasn’t for Chen Yang, who habitually relied on trust, another person wouldn’t be able to handle it.

After a long time, Du Shuo withdrew, his thumbs pressing the tongue that Chen Yang had not been able to retrieve when he withdrew. His tongue was sucked to a crimson color. The corner of his lips had silver silk slipping from them, his cheeks were flushed, and eyebrows flooded with love like he was immersed in a large pool of lust.

Chen Yang frowned and retracted his tongue. His tongue was being pressed uncomfortably and he whined, “Don’t keep messing with my tongue. My throat is uncomfortable.” If his tongue was pressed out, it would make him feel like vomiting.

Du Shuo laughed lightly, “I shouldn’t do it with my hands, just with my tongue, right?”

Chen Yang gave him a blank look, “The older you get, the more impudent you become.”

Du Shuo touched his own face, no wrinkles. He sighed inwardly. Since Chen Yang knew that he was the Fengdu Emperor, he was more and more fond of calling him old and impudent. As an old Buddhist youth, Du Shuo didn’t mind, but all men were more or less concerned about age when faced with a significant younger half than themselves.

Du Shuo turned around and pinned Chen Yang under the sofa and said, “An eighteenth bride and an eightieth groom, a tree of pear blossoms pressing the begonia.”

Chen Yang shuddered, he kicked Du Shuo’s calf, and his lust was all gone after hearing that poem.

Du Shuo saw the situation and laughed, “Did I say it wrong?” After a pause, he added, “Wrong indeed, the difference in years between you and me is more than a century.”

Chen Yang was quite depressed. He loved to tease Du Shuo with his age before, it was very funny to see him mind it but not feel embarrassed to say it. However, when Du Shuo reacted, the one who was depressed was him. He said sullenly, “It’s true that ginger is still hot.”

Du Shuo said slowly, “Don’t bully the old man. I’ve crossed more bridges than you’ve walked.”

Chen Yang puffed out his cheeks and frowned, “Let’s not mention the age thing, it always feels weird.” As soon as age is mentioned, the impulse is extinguished. It’s not like they’re special fans of “age play” so the conversation between them was a total “fire extinguisher”. He suddenly remembered something and grabbed Du Shuo’s hand, touched it and suddenly laughed so hard that his stomach hurt. “Hahahahaha, so you also… Hurt people hurt themselves hahahaha…”

Du Shuo looked at him helplessly and pulled Chen Yang up and rubbed his abdomen so that he wouldn’t over-laugh and get a stomachache later. He said, “You think I want to? Chen Xiaoyang, next time try mentioning a word about age, see if I don’t spank you.”

The “fire extinguisher” naturally “extinguished” both the other party and themselves. They were not special fetishists, how can they still be “hard” under this topic?

Chen Yang hugged Du Shuo’s left hand, spread it out on his belly for Du Shuo to give him a rub, and continued to laugh. Chen Yang simply spread out his limbs to make himself more comfortable. He said lazily, “In a couple of days, I’m going to be invited by the chief Wu to go to the uninhabited village in Southern Guangdong. Will you come with me?”

“Mn.”

Chen Yang froze and suddenly reacted, “You’re going with me?”

Du Shuo swept him a glance, “What else? How long are you going to be gone? I might as well go with you now that you know who I am, I don’t have to hide like I did before. Besides, I don’t have to worry so much by going with you.”

Chen Yang lay back in Du Shuo’s arms, smiling stupidly, “Ah? You can’t say that, I’m pretty good too now. When you say it like that, it seems like I’ll never grow up.”

Du Shuo whispered in Chen Yang’s ear, “If you don’t grow up, can I still fuck you?”

Chen Yang’s pupils dilated and the surprise inside was fully revealed. He got up and pounced on Du Shuo, wrapping his arms and legs around him “Tell me, tell me who you are. You’re definitely not the old man in my family, you must be wearing a skin disguise, right? Let me touch and tear off your skin.”

His hand speed was particularly fast, reaching into Du Shuo clothes to touch him, slowly becoming addicted.

Du Shuo’s delicate flesh and bones were even, his skin like silk and nice to the touch. Chen Yang’s hand could not leave, and his eyes did not move. Chen Yang felt like he was compelled, and unconsciously kissed the skin. Du Shuo stifled a grunt, looking down at Chen Yang, watching him like he was tasting a good meal, loving the way he was engrossed in him.

Du Shuo’s eyes gradually darkened, deep and unpredictable as splashed ink. He also reached into Chen Yang’s clothes, stroking his back like a small animal, gently encouraging, “Yang Yang, be good, go down.”

Chen Yang looked up, his black pupils wet, and he and Du Shuo quietly stared at each other.

Du Shuo could not resist the compulsion, holding Chen Yang’s arm and lifting him up and leaning over him.

The temperature in the room was hot after the intense love session, and it took a long time for it to cool down. Du Shuo carried the blanket to cover Chen Yang’s shoulders, Chen Yang felt uncomfortable when he was half awake and half asleep, and kicked the blanket away to cover only the area below his abdomen.

Chen Yang said vaguely, “It’s hot.”

Du Shuo ignored him. Even if he was crying because it was too hot, without a blanket, he would certainly catch a cold. He lifted up the blanket and wrapped it around Chen Yang’s shoulders, who grunted in discontent and tried to struggle.

Du Shuo hugged him tightly, then turned down the air conditioning temperature by two degrees, Chen Yang felt comfortable and stopped struggling, huddled close to Du Shuo and fell into a beautiful dream.

Chen Yang handed over the matters in the branch to Ma Shanfeng, and let him take full charge. The speed was fast, after all, most of the things before were also Ma Shanfeng’s responsibility. So he handed it back to him and instructed Mao Xiaoli and Zhang QiuDao to not indulge in looking at blogs and games.

As for Kou Xuanling, let him indulge in more blogging and games. After all, he was most addicted to making offerings to his ancestor, which was not conducive to the physical and mental development of an older single male.

Du Shuo took Chen Yang’s backpack and suitcase, sensed something was wrong, and wanted to open the suitcase to check it, Chen Yang came over and asked, “Brother Du, what’s wrong?”

Du Shuo shook his head, and before he could say anything, Chen Yang pulled him into the car. “Let’s go to the airport, the car is coming.”

Du Shuo didn’t have time to check his luggage and backpack in the car, before Chen Yang took him by the arm and whispered to him. When they went through security at the airport, the security personnel checked their suitcases and backpacks and found nothing unusual, so they let them go.

Du Shuo was relieved of his doubts and got on the plane with Chen Yang. When they got off the plane, they arrived at K City in Southern Guangdong, where they were greeted by people from the Taoist Association who took them to the hotel.

Chen Yang asked on the way where Wu Master Yi and the others were, and the person who received them replied, “Wu Master Yi and several other Tianshis entered the uninhabited village three days ago, and I don’t know what the situation is now.”

Chen Yang, “You have no contact?”

Receptionist, “No. Any contact will be made once they enter the uninhabited village. There is no way to contact them. The No Man’s Village is a place isolated from the outside world, but Wu Master Yi and several Tianshis left a witchcraft doll before entering the village. Each witchcraft doll has their heart blood at the heart, and we can learn their current traces and life safety from the witchcraft doll.”

Chen Yang nodded his head, indicating that he knew.

When he checked into the hotel, Chen Yang took advantage of Du Shuo taking a shower to hurriedly open his suitcase, which nestled Big Fatty. He was wrapped in layers of clothes, limp like a pancake, showing a cat face that anyone could love.

Chen Yang whispered, “Fatty, come out quickly.”

Fatty shook his fur and he was instantly soft and fluffy again. He lightly jumped out of the suitcase, took out a piece of cardboard, “I’ll hide first.”

Chen Yang gave an ‘OK’ gesture. Fatty then tried to jump out of the room, but ended up falling straight down in the air, landing on the chin. However, the fall was soft and half-hearted without a sound, he was soft so it didn’t hurt him.

When Chen Yang looked up, he saw Du Shuo, who had come out of his bathrobe and was standing at the door with no expression.

He trembled twice, calmly said, “Big Fatty, why are you so naughty? If you want to follow me, just say so. Why do you need to sneak around?”

Chen Yang smiled ingratiatingly at Du Shuo, “Since he’s here, let him stay here.”

Du Shuo indifferently glanced at Chen Yang, sat down and asked, “When did you decide to bring this thing here?”

Chen Yang leaned on Du Shuo’s shoulder and said, “A week ago, Big Fatty said he wanted to meet his old friend.”

Du Shuo, “No more pushing the pot out?”

Chen Yang, “No pushing. You won’t be angry with me anyway.” He looked rather like a bully.

Big Fatty stirred his hind legs hard while the two were flirting, like a huge sponge sliding quietly towards the outside of the house. A pair of mandarin duck eyes at the moment flooded with dead gray gas, it and the couple offended, from now on nothing to resolutely not appear in front of them.

Du Shuo glanced at the corner of the eye and saw that Big Fatty had slipped to the door. He did not remind Chen Yang and did not call Fatty. Instead, he stroked Chen Yang’s neck, his eyes thoughtful.

There were no villages within 5 kilometers of K City since it was located in the countryside on the outskirts. It used to be quite a prosperous countryside, then it slowly decayed and turned into a place without people. Gradually, it was forgotten. If it was not found by chance by those who went into the uninhabited village and they did not come out again after, Du Shuo might have never been aware of the problem.

No man’s village in K City had the name Ghost Village, originally only because no man’s village without human habitation let people produce the illusion of a ghost village. Then something happened, only to become a real ghost village.

Zhang Qiudao almost folded in the uninhabited village before, and would have followed along. If Zhang Qiudao insisted on going along, Ma Shanfeng had to tell his family. Zhang Qiudao had no choice but to compromise and not go.

Chen Yang and Du Shuo came to a place a hundred meters away from the entrance of the uninhabited village, surrounded by a yellow cordon that forbids visitors or explorers from entering. The man who led them said, “Before the uninhabited village had the reputation of a ghost village, so many people went to explore. Then something happened and the land was boarded off to avoid ordinary people from breaking in. But after the disappearance of people in the village, the reputation of the village has grown, more people flock to the village hearing its reputation. Although most people were stopped, some young people still managed to break in. Wu Chief Yi and other Tianshis entered the deserted village early because eight youths sneaked in.”

Chen Yang lifted the guard tape and went in with Du Shuo. The two gradually approached the entrance of the uninhabited village, and that sense of diffused panic suddenly swept over them.

The panic brought about by the emptiness and dead silence was unsettling.

The author has something to say.

You can’t get married at sixteen, so I’ll change it to Yang Yang met the Great at sixteen, but only got married at eighteen.
