Chen Yang and Du Shuo went in with Liu Quanning to see the three workers who were possessed. Obviously, they were only haunted by a dirty ghost, and not actually possessed.

Because of the resentment, when the person who was entangled dies, the unclean spirit will dissipate the resentment. To deal with this kind of dirty ghosts, you only need to take away their grievances.

Once Liu Quanning saw that the three workers were not on their tiptoes, he knew that they were only being haunted, and not possessed. “I don’t think so, you don’t know how evil it is with Mr. Huang’s grave relocation. I heard that something is coming to take Mrs. Huang’s life tonight.”

Several people were more and more afraid, one of them could not help but point the flashlight towards the tree. The region was dark, only the area shone by the flashlight was bright, the atmosphere was strange. But no one was there. He breathed a sigh of relief and put his flashlight down, only to see a woman in red holding a large umbrella standing right in front of him. He was so shocked that his heart hung in his throat, he could not say a word.

He did not say anything even when his companions pushed him, and felt strange when they looked at him and found that his face was covered with cold sweat and his eyes were bulging as if he had seen something horrible. The crowd followed his line of sight and slowly turned around to see a woman in a red dress under a tree entering the courtyard, standing three meters away from them. The woman raised her umbrella, exposing the empty part of her neck.

The crowd shrieked in terror and fled in panic. Only the first person who saw the woman was so scared that his arms and legs were stiff and he couldn’t move. He could only watch the woman approach. The woman’s eerie, inexplicable laughter rang in his ears as she passed through his body, he could feel a chill sweeping him.

The door slammed open, Chen Yang and Liu Quanning were standing at the door. Chen Yang: “I’ll go up and deal with the woman first.”

Liu Quanning went to check on the frightened worker who was twitching and pale: “After being frightened by a ghost the three souls and seven spirits are unstable.” With a spiritual talisman fixed on his forehead, he said in a loud voice, “Bring me a glass of water.”

Someone hurriedly poured a glass of water and handed it to him, Liu Quanning’s hand shook and the talisman in his hand immediately ignited. Burning the talisman into ashes, he dumped the dust into the glass of water. He then opened the worker’s mouth and poured the water in. It took a long time to stabilize the worker’s soul that was almost scared away.

Chen Yang ran upstairs and kicked open the master bedroom, the sound of bells ringing inside. He went in and found Mr. Huang knocked out in the washbasin, his face buried in water. If he had come a few minutes later, he would have drowned. After pulling Mr. Huang out of the water, he went back in and found Mrs. Huang was carried by the girl from the cave and was about to jump out of the window.

“Want to run?” Chen Yang took off his red rope and struck the woman in the back with an ancient coin between his two fingers. The girl screamed and left Mrs. Huang to escape from the window. As soon as she landed on the ground, a black seam began to crack on her skin, showing a deformed black being covered in hair which quickly hid into the grass.

Chen Yang looked at the terrain, jumped down from the second floor and ran to the other side of the bush. When the mountain spirit jumped out of the bush to get into the forest, he put a red rope around its neck, tightened the rope and hung it up in the air. The mountain spirit soon played dead with its limbs vertical, and Chen Yang laughed, “Quite talented in playing dead.”

Liu Quanning came over to see: “Give it to me. This kind of harmful mountain spirit must be taken back to deal with.”

The mountain spirit in Chen Yang’s hand has already harmed people, so it was estimated that taking it back meant killing it. The mountain spirit also knew that, immediately it stopped pretending to be dead and began to struggle, its whole face became distorted and horrible. Chen Yang stared at the mountain spirit, threw it to the ground, and stomped on it. The mountain spirit fainted and was handed to Liu Quanning: “I think it has killed more than one person.”

Liu Quanning: “This is an old mountain spirit.”

Liu Quanning took the old mountain spirit back to the Taoist Association and gave Mr. Huang a talisman to calm Mrs. Huang. As for Chen Yang, he was taken back to the hotel by Du Shuo while hugging the latter’s neck. He started yawning on the way back in the car, grabbing the corner of Du Shuo’s shirt and drifting off to sleep.

Du Shuo saw Chen Yang’s flushed cheeks, and he knew he got drunk. He simply opened his arms and picked up Chen Yang’s whole body.

The driver glanced at the two in the rearview mirror and felt slightly uncomfortable. After sending them to their destination and getting his pay, he quickly left. Du Shuo didn’t mind, he moved his arms and embraced Chen Yang even tighter.

Chen Yang fell sound asleep in his arms.
