Chapter 37: Hackles raised

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Mimosa

The yellow puffy face smiled with a curve of white teeth. He then revealed the fresh honeydew melon that he was holding tightly in his arms, and he patted away the sand on the melon, “It’s especially delicious. I’ve been picking them for a long time.”

His hood was pulled back because it was too heavy, and the little dragon’s hands were holding the melon. His eyes shone with excitement. Each small step caused yellow sand to fall, and on the clean floor, he stirred up dust and ash.

Yu Hanzhou’s face was very bad, and he took two steps to get in front of Ming Huan. One hand directly pulled his wrist, the other hand wrapped around his waist before he was thrown into the aircraft. His face was cloudy.

Like a small chicken like being picked up, Ming Huan only then found that Yu Hanzhou’s attitude was not right.

The hands dropped the melon that fell directly to the ground, and like a round small ball, it went directly towards the high-speed elevator.

“Eh….”

Ming Huan’s eyes were running after the melon. Just in time, he saw the elevator doors open, and the melon knocked the front of the military boots of Officer Lin who hastily arrived.

The lone melon was finally picked up.

Once the door of the flying machine closed, it was impossible to see.

“Who told you to operate the leap directly?!” Yu Hanzhou directly dumped all the sand and dirt of his hood on the ground and turned on the cleaning mode. The small craft was filled with the high intensity cleaning noise.

He stood on the ground a bit helplessly, and his eyes were confused by the sand as they blinked and turned red, “For you to check the goods…. I also brought you back….”

‘I brought you a special product.’

Ming Huan’s voice was getting smaller and smaller.

Even before, when he was a young alpha, he had never seen Yu Hanzhou so angry. The last time he flew the Pierce and missed, Yu Hanzhou’s face did not look so gloomy.

“It’s a mecha that has never been tested before, how can you be sure that it can withstand a leap? The energy stone efficiency is also unknown, Ming Huan, you dare to operate the leap directly?!”

The young dragon was admonished and also had a little temper, seeming to have completely failed to understand why Yu Hanzhou was angry, “I didn’t, I already adjusted it?”

“Have you ever wondered if the energy was simply not enough to support a leap, or enough to get you to leap over but not enough to get you back?”

Ming Huan, knowing Yu Hanzhou’s character, said, “I have enough energy to make at least five leaps, I know what I’m talking about. Don’t worry….” ‘

I have repaired this many times, and am very familiar with the situation of mecha and warships.’

“What did I tell you yesterday?” Yu Hanzhou’s face was completely cold, “Didn’t I tell you to prioritize your own safety no matter what situation?”

“I…. I did guarantee?” Ming Huan was stunned, “I guarantee it. Yu Hanzhou, what kind of temper are you throwing? I got the authorization for this mecha from Xie Shuci, and I fixed the repairs, so you can use this mecha to apply for the military’s energy efficiency test.”

Ming Huan had not finished, but was suddenly pulled and dragged directly downward into the man’s arms. His face was in pain as he hit his shoulder blades, and he struggled to get up. His waist was caught, and two arms wrapped around him before he slapped him twice.

It was an intimate hugging position.

It was the same as last night when Yu Hanzhou hugged him to rub on his medicine and put him to sleep.

Ming Huan was first confused as his buttocks hurt, and he then realized that Yu Hanzhou was hitting him.

The force was still restrained, more like a shock.

It was this move that apparently backfired on Ming Huan.

The little dragon exploded in an instant. “You hit me?!”

Ming Huan struggled hard, “I fixed the mecha for you, and you hit me!”

The dust overhead shook off his head because of the struggle and slowly drifted down again before tickling the tip of his nose. He choked after sneezing twice, and he hugged Yu Hanzhou’s neck as he coughed repeatedly.

His throat was a little hoarse from the grit, “You…. Don’t think I still owe you money…. cough…. You can just…. Cough….”

The clothes were covered in dust, all of which rubbed off on Yu Hanzhou’s clean clothes. The grit on the eyelashes shook into his eyes, making him uncomfortable. He would have cursed with a little more gusto, but his naive face got stirred with more tears as he smashed down one hand that fell on the man’s neck as he slid downwards.

The hand that tightened around his waist suddenly loosened up a bit.

The flying machine was tightly closed and had not yet taken off.

Ming Huan was released as soon as he let go, and was flexible like a loach.

The door was pulled open by hand and he jumped down on his feet right in front of Officer Lin, who had just picked up a sand melon and was checking the mecha not far away.

When he turned around, he saw the little young dragon covering his buttocks as he jumped down from the aircraft and took a series of ten steps back away from the flying machine.

Yu Hanzhou had just come down, and he retreated ten steps again.

It turned out that he was trying to stay far away from Yu Hanzhou.

The original ly clean and beautiful cheeks were covered with sand and dust. His eyes were red and he had angry tears “I will not help you fix it, no more! The melon is also not for you!”

He let out a fierce roar, and blinked his eyes that had falling teardrops.

‘How did he suddenly become such a dirty little dragon?’

Officer Lin looked at the melon in his hand. The terminal was able to scan and tell him the variety and origin of the melon. It turned out that the little dragon had just leapt to the twelfth star area on the tourist star. That’s what brought back the sand and dust. So, the short operation just now was not a random leap. There was a destination with the operation to come back, and the precision was also scary accurate.

It was only a hundred meters away from where it left.

‘He had to be an alpha, right? How could an omega be able to do this kind of extreme operation?’

However, looking at the little dragon’s dirty face with slithering eyes, his hair up, and his hoarse voice that sounded aggrieved as he cried; it let people feel that this was a playful and petulant young omega.

‘What the hell was going on?’

THe white feathered dragons were the most powerful species of dragon.

‘How could he differentiate into an omega?’

Wait a minute.

‘He was… an SSS-Level, omega?’

Lin Shan was still standing still when the terminal suddenly sent a top command confidentiality agreement. He silently unfolded the agreement, and was glancing not far from Yu Hanzhou.

He finally understood the reason why Admiral Yu had not left his home for the last ten days.

‘An SSS-Level omega.’

In a thousand years, there had never been one.

If he could succeed in differentiation, he might be able to unlock the “genetic lock” that had plagued the dragons for a hundred years in one fell swoop.

For the young dragon’s differentiation news, he concealed it to death.

He just didn’t want the differentiation process to be disturbed in the slightest, whether it was the technical institute or the identification section, they could not come to disrupt the calm differentiation process.

It was, indeed, important for the situation.

He quickly signed the highest level of the confidentiality agreement, Yu Hanzhou was still on the roof of the building trying to catch the dragon. After catching him, he seemed to be coaxing him in a low voice, but coaxing was useless so he put the little dragon into the flying machine.

The little dragon looked like he was so angry.

The argument that waited in his throat was still astringent, and he  didn’t know if he was aggravated or that there was some sand and dust rubbed to the throat.

“I am helping you, I am helping you! Originally I did not need to care about this at all! It’s not an unknown leap! I just know it will work before operating, ah! You’re not reasonable at all! Why are you so mean to me?! You’re taller than me! You can bully people like this just because you have a higher rank! I’m not going back, I’m staying here!”

He said all this until he was shoved in.

He heard him cursing again, “Just go back yourself! My melon! I haven’t gotten my melon back yet!”

Yu Hanzhou’s cold voice shouted at Officer Lin who handed the round melon into the aircraft.

The melon was grabbed.

The aircraft completely closed the door, and whooshed towards the blue sky as it disappeared fast from view.

***

That evening, Dean Shu arrived at Admiral Yu’s residence.

He was asked to give Ming Huan a detailed physical examination later.

The person was waiting for Ming Huan, who hadn’t woken up yet – after a long afternoon, Yu Hanzhou held him down so that he could easily wash off the mud and sand. Ming Huan was so angry but he was able to put him to sleep on the second floor in order to not stimulate his mental energy.

The room was coated in the faint fresh fragrance of fish head soup, it was the precious Chabirofi fish, the price of one was eight thousand star coins upwards.

Dean Shu, while untying his scarf, looked at the shoe cabinet at the entryway where a pair of handmade cute dolls that were the shape of bears sat. The bear’s eyes were two large pink pearls, and they looked expensive and exquisite.

The place where the slippers were placed had more than two pairs of cute plush slippers and even the carpet was replaced with a pattern of cute knitting.

The house had become a bit more welcoming.

For so many years, Yu Hanzhou and a four hundred year old AI have lived here alone.

It was no fun.

Yu Hanzhou came out of the storage room, the AI housekeeper was making black tea for Dean Shu.

Half a minute later, Dean Shu took a sip, “For a four hundred year old model, it boils black tea and cooks well.”

“But ah, so many years and you just upgrade his protection system. Why not just replace it with a new AI butler? The new ones are advanced, my son’s house has the latest, and it is close to a human….”

Yu Hanzhou said faintly, “This is fine, I’m used to it.”

“Four hundred year old thing, it is not as good as the new ones.”

“Alas, for the young dragon, you should update to the generation…. Your family is not yet grown up, wait for the year, you will know the expenses!”

Dean Shu noticed the room was empty, “Admiral Yu, where is the child?”

“Tantrum, just went to bed, still in the room.”

“Why did he have a tantrum?” The dean sat on the sofa, “A young omega should be a little more submissive, don’t always train him, ask him what he wants. Admiral, I did not say this the last time, but young omegas are timid, with soft character, and need to be carefully taken care of….”

The young omega was timid and weak.

Yu Hanzhou pressed his eyebrows, indicating that Ming Huan was not considered timid.

“What mistake can an omega make? Did he break a cup or accidentally break something?”

“He piloted an untested mecha with an energy stone that hadn’t been tested for energy efficiency and leapt straight to a tourist star.”

Black tea scalded his mouth as Dean took a sip and nearly spit it out, “What!?”

‘Was this the SSS level omega?’

Dean Shu lowered his voice, “Recently, the identification section and the technical hospital side has been asking me about the Xie family’s SS-level omega dragon. They’re becoming anxious while waiting for him to differentiate! I did not say anything, of course, about your family’s issue, I dare not even mention it.”

“Don’t mention it.” Yu Hanzhou was meticulous, “Ming Huan’s mental energy situation is very bad, and then after differentiation. As for the Xie family bit, the technical section knows, let them ask Xie Jue themselves.”

“Also, he’s always been raised as an alpha before.”

Dean Shu nodded, “Which he surprisingly became an omega.”

“An SSS-level mental energy omega, the technical section and the identification section will go crazy if they know.”

The dean had ever seemed so happy before, “Of course, this is all behind us. More than that, he’s a 98% match for you….”

“Dean.” Yu Hanzhou’s indifferent voice interrupted him, and his eyes looked upstairs. He placed a new shielding setting to turn Ming Huan’s room on no-disturb mode, so that no sound from outside could enter.

“Don’t bring up the matter of the matching degree in front of Ming Huan yet.”

“You haven’t?” Dean wondered, “Wouldn’t that be a happy thing for both sides, why not?”

A little omega was able to match with the most powerful alpha before he was officially differentiated. The alpha was also the Federation’s admiral – which meant that whatever the little dragon wanted, he could do it for him.

After 400 years, the admiral finally waited for a perfect match with his own little dragon companion, and finally no longer had to suffer the pain of mental energy backlash….

Dean Shu did not understand.

‘Why not explain to the young dragon this exciting situation?’

“You haven’t asked him to marry you yet?”

Yu Hanzhou was wearing a simple white shirt today and a pair of rimless glasses on the bridge of his nose. It made a big difference as he looked peaceful.

Once the admiral took off the military uniform, he still had a lingering cold aura but inexplicably seemed to be much more alive.

“He is too young.”

Yu Hanzhou shook his head, “He broke his shell only three years ago.”

“For the dragon race, he is already almost an adult.” The dean did not understand, “It is because he is young, that he needs more care. And you are able to provide care for him.”

Yu Hanzhou brought over the black tea, and the fragrant aroma smeared his fingertips, “I think he is having mild cognitive dissonance – he has been exhibiting alpha traits, but is an omega. Plus, he is not yet fully differentiated, and it is not suitable to mention marriage.”

For example, today, he went to repair the military academy’s spare mecha and actually dared to take the positioning energy directly and leap.

The audacity was staggering.

In two sentences, his temper became bigger than the sky.

With two hits, he became petulant, aggrieved, and began to cry.

How could there be such a petulant little dragon who was seeking death?

This little dragon was also his [perfectly matched] little fiancé.

It seemed that the black tea was too bland, so he put down his cup and saucer before he went to fetch a bottle of wine.

He did not drink before and opened a bottle before he poured half a cup. A little wine seemed to relieve a bit of his headache.

“Do you have another headache? Is it from the special effects inhibitor? Do not use them like running water.” Dean Shu frowned, “Why don’t you transfer him to our hospital for trusteeship? We will take care of him and let him finish his differentiation smoothly. He is your absolute match, and to take care of him during his differentiation period is too much, and his pheromone concentration in the next ten days will be higher and higher….”

Although it was suggested, Dean Shu did not have much contact with Yu Hanzhou. He did not think that this person would leave his matching mate to someone else to take care of, even if it was only for ten days.

Young Master Ming was an SSS-level mental energy white feathered omega dragon hatchling.

The entire dragon race would be eagerly awaiting the smooth differentiation of the little dragon.

He was also a match for the admiral.

If the admiral insisted on raising him himself, no one could argue with him.

“I won’t give him to anyone.”

A sip of strong wine down, Yu Hanzhou invited the dean to wait in the small hall first, “I’ll bring him down.”

Ming Huan’s room was dark.

He turned off all the lights and projections to the point where there was not a single ray of light.

Hearing a knock on the door, Ming Huan nestled in bed and didn’t move. After waiting for a while, the sound of the door restriction being unlocked came from outside, and the door gently pushed open.

“Ming Huan.”

The little young dragon was obviously still angry.

He was just brought back after being shoved into a flying machine, and then thrown into the bathroom to take a thorough bath with his head held down. Yu Hanzhou then wrapped him in a bath towel without saying a word and threw him directly onto the bed – all of these actions made him incredibly angry.

He was helping Yu Hanzhou!

By relying on the Mecha, the energy efficiency of the energy star proved to solve the problem. He helped Yu Hanzhou so much, and the result was that he actually, actually….

Ming Huan curled into a ball, and his face was buried in the quilt.

His ass had long ceased to hurt.

The revenge of being held down and slapped around the waist, he could remember for 10,000 years.

Even in his previous life, no one had ever hit him!

“Ming Huan, aren’t you hungry?”

There was no answer, and the sound of footsteps was getting closer.

“No, I’m not hungry.” Ming Huan covered his dried up stomach, and still curled up in the nest like a snail that never exposed his head.

“Ming Huan.” This one was a little lower.

The little dragon heard this tone of voice and became angry as he stirred out of the blanket, “Do not want to eat! You wait for me, when I finish differentiating, I will move out, I do not want to live with you! I won’t give you a pension either!”

The little dragon was still complaining aggressively, and his nasally voice was heavy which made the whole dragon seem muffled and nestled.

His voice was also still a bit hoarse.

He was not sure if it’s from crying or from being scraped by the sand.

Yu Hanzhou was standing on the edge of his bed, and came little closer. With the bedding lifted, he saw the other party bending down and sitting on the edge of his bed, “Ming Huan, Dean Shu is here. If you don’t feel well, ask him to look at you.”

“You’re the one who’s sick!”

They could not hear each other’s voice, and he loosened the tightly covered quilt a little before the little dragon peeked out a little head.

Yu Hanzhou sat right next to his bed.

“I told you, you must put your own safety first.”

“I considered, ah, how I did not consider, I considered that I am safe!” This issue had been discussed many times this afternoon after being held down in the shower.

Ming Huan had used this energy stone before for the Empire side to repair the warplane, and he could probably estimate the utilization rate.

Plus this mecha, designed by the genius Xie Shuci, had to be slightly adjusted to be completely fine.

;How was it unsafe?!’

Yu Hanzhou had ironically thought that he was being playful and disregarding his own safety. In the end, Yu Hanzhou has nothing to do with it if he was safe or not- he differentiated in the end and the [custody] period would be up, he should not care at all, ah.

“But, the melon is cut, won’t you eat a little?”

“!!!”

The quilt lifted off to one side with a whimper.

Ming Huan slowly began to put on his slippers and flatted his mouth without looking at Yu Hanzhou.

Yu Hanzhou took him to the small dining room on the second floor to eat the cut melon. The sweet and crunchy taste slowly blossomed in Ming Huan’s mouth, and the little dragon’s mood was slightly better.

Ming Huan forked a small piece and began to explain, “I’m sure, I’m sure, the mecha can leap.”

Yu Hanzhou measured his expression and asked, “Have you ever used a block of energy stone before?”

“And it was tried with a model you are familiar with. Therefore, you know the conversion efficiency and energy value of the energy stone.”

Ming Huan’s hand forking the melon suddenly stopped, and the polished white porcelain plate was imprinted with a flash of panic in his eyes.

“No…. There is not, ah.”

“How do you predict a block of energy stones is enough to leap five times?”

“I…. I guessed.”

Yu Hanzhou seemed to carry the inexplicable smell of alcohol on his face, and with it, his eyes were a little deeper than usual.

“Oh, I guessed.”

He rubbed his finger on his belly, “I was randomly guessing, but dared to make the leap. I think I hit too lightly.”

“!!!”

The little tail stretched out, wagging left and right to show the little dragon’s uneasiness.

Yu Hanzhou should have long suspected that he had touched this energy source from the last study report.

It was because he had differentiated so suddenly that Yu Hanzhou didn’t have a chance to ask about this for so many days.

“I, I, I used it!” He conceded, knowing that he probably couldn’t hide the fact that he had repaired warplanes for the Imperial side.

It was a warplane that he had repaired and bombed.

Yu Hanzhou can’t blame him for this, right?

Yu Hanzhou lifted his eyelids slightly, “What? Wait, where? Ming Huan, except for me and Officer Lin. Is there anyone else who has seen you repairing a leapfrog fighter?”

Ohhhhh I can imagine the anger and distress that YH was feeling when he thought that MH was missing!!

YH’s reaction was perfectly understandable, but for MH, utterly humiliating.
No idea how YH is going to further react to MH’s reply… assuming the whole story comes out.
Thank you both for the chapter.
