Chapter 47: Play

Luo Songran felt himself caught in a strange dilemma, repeatedly confirming and then denying himself. He knew he had a playful nature, and he hadn’t taken this marriage license seriously at all. Not to mention the license, he hadn’t even fully put his mind on this child in his belly, because it was too early to matter. But now the problem was his attitude towards Duan Yizhou seemed to be evident these days. Besides the three chapters he agreed upon with Duan Yizhou, he found increasingly absurd things.
First, he got used to Duan Yizhou’s constant kindness towards him, subconsciously believing that this man would never get angry with him.
Second, he got used to the physical contact he had with Duan Yizhou, enjoying being held by him, often unconsciously leaning into him.
Third, he developed possessiveness towards Duan Yizhou.
Yes, possessiveness. No way, he was just playing around, and getting married to Duan Yizhou was just a forced choice. So, in order to confirm that his feelings were wrong, after the incident with registering the pheromones code that night, he started ignoring Duan Yizhou. He even unilaterally invalidated the three chapters agreement for half a month.
He couldn’t believe it. The outside world was so exciting; he would definitely be attracted to someone better than a thirty-two-year-old man like Duan Yizhou, someone with a better body and even better looks.
Neptune Technology Group President’s Office—
“Oh my god, President Duan, your little ancestor is going wild!”
Jiang Yi pushed open the office door in a hurry, and Duan Yizhou raised his head from the documents, listening to Jiang Yi’s exaggerated tone, speechless. “Speak properly.”
But he felt emotional about the word ‘again’. In the past half month, Luo Songran’s temper had been very bad, especially towards him. Not only was he nitpicky, but he also didn’t even follow the three chapters agreement. He couldn’t find him at school, went out everywhere, and even stayed out all night without saying a word. Even at home, he wouldn’t touch anything he made, even pouring it out rudely in front of him.
He probably knew why Luo Songran was like this. Compared to the first half of the month, this half month’s bad behavior was abnormal, because he knew Luo Songran wasn’t such a rude person. There was only one possibility: this guy was avoiding him.
Jiang Yi quickly closed the office door and locked it, then walked quickly to Duan Yizhou’s side, bending down and lowering his voice to his ear, “First-hand information, I got it from his roommate. Tonight, Young Master Luo made an appointment with those buddies from his previous racing club to go to the bar.”
When Duan Yizhou heard the words ‘go to the bar’, his eyes narrowed slightly. “Hmm, which bar?”
Jiang Yi gave him the address of the bar.
Duan Yizhou nodded and instructed, “Book the entire bar. Tell the bar manager that drinks won’t be served tonight. If guests really want to drink, serve them a glass of plain water or the amino acid milk brought from home at midnight. Apart from that, nothing else is to be served.”
“What if they go to another bar?”
“Follow them, and then clear the place. No alcoholic beverages are allowed either.”
Jiang Yi suddenly laughed, “President Duan, you’re really too kind. If it were me, I’d definitely bring that little ancestor home and give him a good lesson. It’s really annoying to have such a little ancestor. How come two presidents have such different personalities?”
Duan Yizhou sighed faintly. He did want to grab this guy and spank him, but the problem was he dared not provoke Luo Songran easily now. Just a few days ago, he scolded him for staying out all night, and then he got mad, causing him a stomachache. He ended up spending a night in the hospital.
His friend Su Yi advised him to be more considerate to his pregnant spouse and not to provoke him easily. But no matter how much he did, how well he did it, Luo Songran was not satisfied and always picked on his faults. But what could he do? He couldn’t get angry with Luo Songran because he was pregnant. If he did, he couldn’t imagine the consequences or bear the responsibility.
Early pregnancy was still dangerous; he could only accommodate this little ancestor as much as possible. He just didn’t know what this little ancestor wanted.
In front of the Cloud Club—
Luo Songran parked his car and happened to meet several alphas he had arranged to meet tonight. They were the tall and strong alphas he asked his roommate to find from the sports department, all according to his requirements.
They had to be over 1.9 meters tall, weigh over 85 kilograms, have eight-pack abs, not overly muscular, and must have aesthetic appeal.
Roommate A brought several buddies from the sports department to the Cloud Club and happened to meet Luo Songran at the door. He waved immediately, “Ran, over here!”
Luo Songran walked over.
“I brought the best guys from my department. Let’s have a good drink tonight.”
Luo Songran looked at the alphas in front of him, except for Roommate A, these five tall and sturdy alphas did look very handsome, with various skin tones, fair, wheatish, and young.
He suppressed the subtle boredom, lips slightly curved, “Nice to meet you all. Tonight, I’m treating, so feel free.”
The alphas from the sports department looked at the beautiful beta in front of them. Who didn’t know Luo Songran from the music department? Although he was a beta, he was incredibly good-looking, better than many omegas, with a unique charisma and innate arrogance.
Such a person didn’t need to be treated as cautiously as an omega. They could boldly get close to him. Therefore, being able to interact with Luo Songran was a coveted opportunity for them; even making friends with him would be good.
Luo Songran led them into the bar, but when they stepped inside, they found it unusually quiet. It wasn’t as lively as usual; there was nobody there, the place was empty. Luo Songran stopped in his tracks, looking puzzled. “Manager Zhang?” he called out with a frown.
The man addressed as Manager Zhang stepped out, dressed in a black shirt and trousers, with a smile on his face. “Good evening, Young Master Luo. Cloud Club has been reserved for you tonight, so everyone in the bar will be at your service. Feel free to give any orders.”
Luo Songran was speechless. Who would be so idle as to reserve an entire bar? Isn’t the point of going to a bar to have a crowd and be lively? Thinking it could only be one person doing this, he took a deep breath, suppressed his annoyance, and turned around. “Let’s go to a different bar.”
But what happened next almost made him explode.
On this bar street, no matter which bar they entered, even if it was crowded at first, as soon as he stepped in, everyone cleared out, as if he were a terrorist, and everyone was avoiding him. The alphas following behind Luo Songran looked bewildered, completely unaware of what was happening.
By the time Luo Songran reached the third bar, he simply gave up struggling. He had come out tonight to drink, and if he didn’t drink, he’d feel annoyed. At this moment, he had completely forgotten that he was pregnant.
So he looked at the cleared-out bar and called over a bartender, “Get two bottles of whiskey.”
“Sorry,” the bartender said awkwardly, looking at Luo Songran. “We don’t have whiskey here.”
Luo Songran frowned, looking incredulous. “No whiskey in a bar?” Then he looked at the cleaning lady nearby, clearing the table next to them, the empty bottles on it were clearly whiskey bottles. So he pointed over, “Isn’t that whiskey?”
“Sorry, all the whiskey for today has been consumed by the guests,” the bartender explained with a stiff smile.
“Does your bar only have whiskey for one day?” Luo Songran took a deep breath. “Then get some beer.”
“We don’t have beer.”
“Cocktails.”
“No cocktails.”
“Special drinks.”
“We don’t have special drinks.”
“Juice, at least.”
“Sorry, no juice.”
Luo Songran’s face darkened. “If you don’t have anything, what kind of bar are you running?”
Then he saw the bartender bring out a glass of water and a bottle of milk, smiling. “We have warm water and amino acid milk from home, to give you a sense of home in the bar. Is this acceptable to you?”
Luo Songran was almost driven to tears by his anger. This was something Duan Yizhou would do—why did it seem like he was involved?!
His mood for the night was completely ruined by Duan Yizhou. He no longer had the mood to continue playing. He could only suppress his anger and say to his roommate, “It seems tonight isn’t suitable for an all-nighter. Let’s do it another day. I suddenly have something urgent to deal with. I’ll treat you next time, but we won’t come to this street again.”
Outside the bar, Luo Songran could only apologize and bid farewell to these alphas he hadn’t even had a chance to interact with yet. After they left, his expression turned dark, and he drove home. No, he had to have a fight with Duan Yizhou.
At home, Duan Yizhou was in the study looking at documents when he happened to glimpse a cranberry-colored car backing into the garage on the surveillance monitor. He adjusted his glasses, lips quirking slightly. Was he back already? Could he really be obedient?
Two minutes later, he heard hurried footsteps outside the study. Even before he saw the person, he recognized the voice. “Duan Yizhou!! Come out, let’s fight! If I don’t fight you, I won’t be able to vent my anger!”
Duan Yizhou leaned back in his chair, hands clasped, then he saw Luo Songran appear at the door, looking very angry, his face extremely unpleasant.
Luo Songran walked into the study, seeing Duan Yizhou sitting there so leisurely made his chest ache with anger. He walked up to the desk and slapped it with both hands, anger evident in his amber eyes, gritting his teeth. “Duan Yizhou, what do you mean by this?”
Duan Yizhou saw sweat on his nose and reached out to wipe it away, his eyes full of indulgence. “Tell me, what did I do wrong?”
Luo Songran laughed in anger, swatting away Duan Yizhou’s hand. “You promised to let me go out and have fun! Why do you care what the bars do? Clearing out all the places and removing all the drinks, do you think you’re so rich and powerful? You’re not a man of your word.”
Duan Yizhou retracted his hand that had been swatted away, stood up, walked around the chair and approached Luo Songran, “How did I break my promise?”
“You said we could get married if I agreed to let me have fun!”
“I didn’t allow you to go out?” Duan Yizhou leaned casually against the desk, pulling Luo Songran onto his lap, facing this person whose eyes were red with anger. “I allowed you to go out, but the condition is that you must abide by our three rules. Did you do that? Do you know what time it is now? It’s already midnight.”
Luo Songran tried to break free from Duan Yizhou, but he was no match for him. His legs were trapped between Duan Yizhou’s strong thighs, and he couldn’t move. Frustrated, he reached out to hit Duan Yizhou.
The blow landed squarely on Duan Yizhou’s chest with a loud sound. Before Duan Yizhou could speak, he saw his little partner in his arms, holding his hand tightly, his eyes completely red.
“Wu…” Luo Songran felt embarrassed and angry tonight. He had arranged to meet so many alphas, but hadn’t brought anyone to play. Now, wanting to hit Duan Yizhou, he ended up hurting his own hand because of the man’s hard chest muscles. Unable to contain his emotions, he cried out, “You hurt my hand!”
The words “hurt” were so tearful and off-key.
Seeing him complaining again and crying so sadly, Duan Yizhou almost couldn’t help but laugh. He held the guy’s hand and said, “Let me massage it for you.”
“It’s useless…” Luo Songran felt really embarrassed. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. “You don’t know how embarrassed I was tonight. I brought five alphas, each one so tall and handsome. I said I would treat them to drinks, but in the end, there was no alcohol on the whole street, and they ended up giving me milk. Besides you, who else would do this?”
Talking about it made him even sadder.
Duan Yizhou suppressed a laugh and hugged his little partner, “Can you drink alcohol while pregnant? What if you did? I can’t let you do that.”
“I didn’t say I wanted to drink! Can’t I watch them drink?” Luo Songran buried his face in Duan Yizhou’s clothes, feeling that it was difficult to vent his anger. He bit his chest in frustration.
Duan Yizhou frowned when he was bitten in the wrong place, but seeing the guy cry so sadly, he couldn’t bear to scold him. He reached out and held the guy’s hand, “I’ll massage it for you.”
“Will you still do this in the future?”
“I will!” Luo Songran looked up at Duan Yizhou with red eyes. “Why do you have the right to control me? It’s your business if you like me. If I don’t like you, I’ll play with them!”
“It’s just because of the child that you’re treating me so well. Without this child, you wouldn’t be like this. I don’t want this child anymore.”
After saying this, there was a brief silence in the study.
Luo Songran realized that after he had spoken, Duan Yizhou was silently looking at him without saying a word. For a moment, he regretted what he had said, frowned, and then felt that he had the right to say it. It was the truth.
Just when he thought Duan Yizhou would get angry—
“My liking for you has nothing to do with the child. I just like you, completely fallen for you. No matter what you say or do, I’m willing to indulge you.”
Thump, thump, thump—
Luo Songran took a deep breath to calm his suddenly racing heart. Unnaturally turning his face away, he left, “It’s easy for you to say. Let’s see when you can’t stand me.”
He didn’t believe that Duan Yizhou could really tolerate him. Duan Yizhou let him go, his gaze deep and intense as he watched the retreating figure. Let him be angry. After all, the marriage certificate was in his hands, and he couldn’t take it away.

Id spank his butt from here to eternity 😡
What an all round unhealthy relationship.
All about control and conquest… for both. DY is obsessed and actually very manipulative; whilst LS is selfish, spoilt and superficial (even if he is developing feelings, it’s not really for the right reasons).
No doubt they’ll end up happily ever after though. Poor baby (the real one).
Thank you both for the chapter.
