Chapter 263: The elders’ first experience of the game

At 17:00 on May 1st, the game players who had nothing to do, and their fellow netizens who were looking forward to grabbing a slot, all gathered on the official website of Carefree Farmstead.

The number of players who previously commented on the game was very few. On the contrary, the number of messages in the old comment book was now jumping up by thousands, and tens of thousands, every second.

[One hour to go, the final battle is coming! My right hand of God is already stirring. This time, it’s time for me to make a clean break!]

[Nine hundred million game slots, fifty million a round, a total of 18 rounds. How can it be said that there will not be seconds to run out, right? Can the game’s official website hold up to the current flow of people? Don’t get stuck in the sky by then! @Holographic Game Design Competition, the officials are coming out to work, let your technical boys get ready!]

[Upstairs, your first sentence is still too confident. Do you know how many people are waiting to grab these game quotas? So many inhabited planets together, even if each planet only had 1 billion people who want game quotas, the number of competitors together is not 100 billion people, but still 80 or 90 billion people. And the number of game slots released is only a mere nine hundred million. It’s still a more wolves, less meat feel, ah. Pray you can successfully grab one in the end!]

[The game is not the only way that LiLi has in his hand. There are still 75 million of those slots, and he said he would release them in the forum and in the starblog. The last chance for the non-celebrities. [eat melon.jpg]]

[You also said that the non-commissioned…But where can I kryptonite up a rise in my luck value? I’ve been unable to grab a game slot until now!]

[The front row peddles to the necessary small bench in the process of grabbing the quota, Coke Sprite orange juice, popcorn, roasted corn, bombing squid…]

[Are pressed out of sight, still have the nerve to say they are ‘front row’…]

[Can you blame me, it’s the others who are too enthusiastic!]

“…”

Bai Li, Wen XingYao, Zhu MoLing, Tang Ying, the two old heads, and a large group of beast-type elders gathered in the luxurious meeting room on the top floor of the hotel building where the official website of Carefree Farmstead was displayed on a huge projection wall, and the old opinion book underneath was being rapidly refreshed.

Bai Li, who had seen this crazy scene before, had a calm expression, but the beast-type elders were about to lose their expression management ability.

Hey, I knew before that the son/Little Fox production, Carefree Farmstead, was a very popular virtual reality game, and that the game would be grabbed as soon as the quota was released. But before it was just imagination. Now that I’ve seen it with my own eyes, it’s still hard to describe the shock inside.

Bai Li waved his hand to recall everyone’s lost thoughts and said, “Dad, mom, grandfathers and grandmothers. You are the ones who have the game quota already, so you don’t have to keep staring at this page. I’ve just sent some newbie tips to your optical computers, so if you’re bored with waiting, you can read them first.”

After the remaining gaming slots were unlocked, Bai Li sent one to each of the people he had promised, including the 500 member farming squad from the Imperial Research Institute. The 1,000 people from the military department were already game players, so there was no need for another allocation.

However, he wouldn’t go without giving those people thanks. Bai Li specifically asked Tang Ying to get the statistics of the 1,000 warriors, their villages and game IDs, then in the game one person sent a big batch of thank you gift bags. It was said that a number of people opened an extra precious item from them.

Wen Xiao looked up, sniffed, and said in a small mutter, “What those people say is quite interesting. How can it be boring?”

However, he also listened to Bai Li. He knew that his future grandson-in-law had a point to everything he said, plus he could read the messages whenever he had time, so there was no need to rush. Therefore, he simply withdrew his gaze and checked the optical computer that hung around his neck.

What did his grandson-in-law say just now? That he had put together a newbie farming strategy for them all?

“‘All the farming tips from the past two months since entering Carefree Farmstead’ and ‘The third and fourth months of farming tips in Carefree Farmstead.’ Hey, these two tips are written by the same person. Little Fox, do you think I’m right?” Wen Xiao looked for topics to chat with Bai Li about.

Bai Li pretended to take a quick automatic glance at Wen XingYao, and with a smile in his eyes, he nodded decisively. “Yes, it’s written by the same person. He was one of the first players of the game, and opened a blog account a long time ago to write about things that happened in the game.”

“Yo ho, so powerful! Then I have to take a closer look!” Wen Xiao said, and buried his head to read it.

Several other beast-type elders also heard the conversation between the two, then smoothly found the two tips, and chose to finish digesting and absorbing them first.

Wen XingYao had no idea what happened. Even though he couldn’t understand what those few people were talking about, why was it that what Bai Li said in reply sounded oddly familiar?

It turned out that the seemingly mundane details of life were more or less important to remember. Once you forget one day, there may be a situation in the future that will make a person die socially.

An hour passed quickly. Bai Li urged the elders to get on the game and experience it, while he and Wen XingYao stayed in the same place, and watched the network “carnival” created by him.

The state of those fellow netizens who were waiting to grab the quota could be roughly divided into three stages.

In the first stage, everyone was confident, and thought they would soon be able to grab a game quota, then rush into the game never to ask the outside about the wind and rain.

In the second stage, the people who hadn’t yet grabbed a game slot were calm on the surface, but their hearts, they were actually a little panicked. The holographic screen in front of them reflected their pale faces and the beads of sweat on their foreheads. Some even trembled slightly, and were almost unable to control their hands freely.

In the third stage, despair was accompanied by faint hope. All people were like travelers in the desert, or people praying for light in the dark night. They prayed and hoped and tried to use their most precious things as sacrifices, just to get a game slot that they couldn’t grab no matter how much they tried.

Round after round of game quotas opened and closed, even if those fellow netizens didn’t grab the quota reluctantly, the distribution of the quota gradually entered the end. The fellow netizens who succeeded in grabbing a game slot were naturally happy and encouraged, while those who didn’t grab one were as dejected as a salted fish who had lost his dream.

That time came at 22:00 that night, which was the rest time for the beastly elders decided by Bai Li and the others. At that time, 15 minutes later than the original time, the elders reluctantly came out of their gaming pods, all with a discontented look on their faces.

“Okay, okay. The gaming pods won’t grow legs and run. Parents, grandfathers and grandmothers, you should rest first. As long as you have the spirit, tomorrow, you can be more committed to play well!” Bai Li advised with some amusement. “Let’s make another agreement. As long as you return to human form from a beast, we will no longer control your game time. You can play as much as you want.”

This proposal hit the elders right in the heart. How could they not agree? After playing in the game for 4 hours, they have already experienced the wonders, and believed that with the game’s bonus effect, they would definitely recover soon!

Since they had just come out of the game, resting wasn’t possible straight away. Master Wen rushed to the Carefree Farmstead official website, as he wanted to brush the comments in the opinion book for a while. The results he could now see were words like “oooooooooo” or “woof, woof, woof.” The more complicated ones included “1551” and “QAQ”, which young people loved to use.

Wen Xiao, “…” I’m sorry, you’re hurting my eyes. Let’s meet again!

[I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to get the best out of you.]

“The first time I bought the big gift bag…Haha! I could not have imagined it! I opened the golden hoe from it. To see that thing…the raid drop rate is 1%. I am also considered to be at the forefront of new players!”

“You said you remembered, I have not bought it yet. Waiting for tomorrow morning. I will go on to buy it. That said, the strategy is really good. I have completed the pre-task of the newbie period, and gave myself a whole bamboo house. The green look can be refreshing, after that time…I planted wheat while decorating my room. Then I was thirsty to drink a sip of tea bought from the game store so I had to boil water. A beautiful life.”

“There is no hurry to set up the room. There is plenty of time later. I took advantage of the lack of people to learn my life skills first. I learned fishing and cooking. After that if you want to eat fish, you can be self-sufficient!”

“Old guys, I found two super useful items. Lucky Magic Spring Water Pack and the Fertilizer Pack, both of which I bought. The first one can reduce the growth time of crops by 15 minutes per bottle used, and the second one can make crops grow tall and big. Anyway, they are not expensive, and that lucky gift bag can also measure your luck. So fun!”

“Golden Peach! Did you buy the Apparel Surprise Box in the mall? I not only bought all the women’s clothing in the mall, but also bought 100 Surprise Boxes. My luck is good. I got a total of more than 30 sets of male and female apparel. Women’s clothing to keep for myself, men’s clothing I will find a way to exchange with others!”

“Well…I have not paid attention to the mall items. I received several tasks from the NPCs in the village, and I have to figure out how to do them. According to the strategy we read before, The Fortune Teller should be the most mysterious NPC, but I actually met them on the first day. Unfortunately, I just started playing, and I only had a few gold coins in my hands to exchange. Calculate a life, and buy a few cheap items. Also spent, hey!”

“…”

Everyone there had different encounters in the game. The only thing that was the same was their liver and kryptonite degrees was not only not less than the younger game players, but they also had a vague trend to surpass them.

After all, they now had money and leisure. Money, from their families juniors’ “offerings,” leisure, because they were still in a beast state. Their daily activities were to eat and sleep, sleep and eat. Now that they could actually enter the virtual reality game world, they naturally started to toss and turn.

Bai Li thought that the elders who finally got to play the game would be able to stop and settle down to play the game for a while. However, within a few days, the two old heads approached him together and told him that they were ready to go back.

  1. Thanks for the hard work!!!

I can’t imagine the sadness of missing a slot in a game and never having even a chance of maybe playing it anytime soon! qwq

I’ve waited years for games to lower in price but I knew I was gonna get to play it eventually. Most of the time I run into the opposite problem and find games that were once cool but are dying or could have been cool but get ruined day 1.
