For the next forty or fifty hours, the boy had been huddled in the corner, and he had insisted that Jin Zhe move as far away from him as possible, as if he were afraid that Jin Zhe would turn into a werewolf and pounce on him at any moment.
Jin Zhe was utterly baffled by this inexplicable sense of chastity crisis. However, the boy was too young and fragile, showing signs of mental breakdown. Jin Zhe didn’t dare to provoke him, so he had to comply with his requests. But to be honest, his requests were meaningless most of the time because he was mostly unconscious with a high fever, and he had no ability to resist if Jin Zhe wanted to do anything to him.
The world of children is so magical. Jin Zhe made the best of it, finding it quite amusing to have such a funny companion during such dull moments.
This relaxed and pleasant atmosphere continued until the end of the fourth day.
At that moment, Jin Zhe was dozing off in a daze. Suddenly, he felt his injured consciousness boiling up like boiling water. He woke up abruptly, realizing that his lion had actually run to the corner where the boy was hiding, emitting excited growling sounds.
“What’s going on?” Jin Zhe felt his heart racing, body heating up, and temples pounding. He tried to telepathically call the lion, but found that the idiot didn’t listen to him at all, constantly rubbing against the boy and licking his ears.
“Damn it!” Jin Zhe thought his traumatic brain injury was worsening, unable to even control the quantum beast. He propped himself up on the ground and suddenly stiffened — what’s that smell?
There was a refreshing and sweet scent permeating the air, not like flowers, nor honey, but a particularly fresh and refreshing scent, like the wind of spring, or the first snow of winter, full of healing power.
Heaven… Jin Zhe realized it instantly. That’s why the boy made him swear — he was a guide! A guide reaching puberty!
“Oh my god!” Jin Zhe jumped up all at once, rushing towards the corner where the boy was hiding, his head bumping several times against the hanging stalactites, blood dripping down, without even noticing. Passing by a rock, the scent of guide pheromones became even stronger, so sweet that it could drive people crazy. Jin Zhe couldn’t control himself, trembling all over. He half knelt beside the boy, feeling his slender body, slowly moving upward, opening his collar.
The boy remained unconscious, his rapid, shallow breaths the only sound in the darkness. His entire body exuded an intoxicating scent, like a carefully crafted feast awaiting a voracious appetite, enticing and tantalizing. Jin Zhe felt his body heating up, pheromones seeping out from every pore, blending with the boy’s scent, colliding and merging in the silent air, causing intense chemical reactions, releasing some kind of dangerous molecules.
It was bonding heat.
He wanted to mark this guide, to enter his body, to make him completely his, forever!
Jin Zhe shuddered as he cupped the boy’s head and pushed his chin up, touching his soft neck with his own hot lips, tonguing his tiny Adam’s apple and sucking on his skin before moving up and kissing his dry but still unusually tender lips.
The boy made a kittenish, fragile whimper in his throat, waking up to Jin Zhe’s intense stimulation, and immediately screamed in terror, grabbing him by his upper arms with both hands and desperately pushing him away from him.
Jin Zhe’s brain throbbed, completely losing rationality. His entire being was consumed by tumultuous desire. The faint remnants of reason deep in his subconscious told him the boy was too young, might not be able to bear the final mark, and he had sworn to him… But all of this was quickly engulfed by the primal instincts buried deep in his genes. Jin Zhe used his powerful strength to completely control the boy’s struggling body, overpowering him on the uneven ground, tearing open his shirt.
“Sob… Sob…” The boy trembled like leaves in the wind, tears streaming down his face, wetting Jin Zhe’s face. Despite having no resistance, he still struggled violently, trying to break free from Jin Zhe’s control.
Jin Zhe almost sucked his tongue swollen before finally releasing his lips, turning to attack the more vulnerable part of his chest. The boy’s chest was very flat, almost devoid of muscles, with smooth skin covering a delicate skeleton. On the left side of his chest, there was a long scar, probably many years old, with the scar tissue peeled off, leaving only a raised mark.
In front of that scar, there was another wound, two to three centimeters long, wrapped in gauze, feeling damp to the touch, as if it were oozing blood, presumably from the previous lightning explosion.
In the moment when Jin Zhe sank his teeth into the boy’s chest, a short, sharp scream escaped the boy’s lips, hoarse cries pleading, “Let go of me! You promised not to touch me, you swore… Ah! Let go of me!”
His voice carried so much despair that Jin Zhe, for a moment, regained some clarity. He released his teeth, which had bitten into the tender flesh, and moved up to kiss the boy’s lips again, whispering softly to him, “Don’t be afraid, I will protect you, I won’t harm you, just obey me… give yourself to me…”
“”No, no…” the boy twisted his face away, sobbing and pleading, “Let go of me, please let go of me, I saved your life, consider it a favor, huh? Please, don’t mark me, I’m not even eighteen yet, it’s against the law for you to do that.”
Jin Zhe’s mind was still traumatized and his whole being was a bit confused, a voice in his head told him that he should stop immediately, but immediately an even louder voice roared overwhelmingly: it’s a guide! A guide who is 100% compatible with you!
Jin Zhe shook his head confusedly, “No, no, you’re mine, we’re 100% compatible.” With that, he opened the boy’s belt and ripped open his pants, peeling them down to his knees.
“Don’t! AHHHH!” The boy let out a desperate scream, “Don’t touch me! I’ll kill you! I swear…you son of a bitch! I saved you, I saved you…why…teacher I was wrong, ooooohhh…I’m an idiot.”
He gave up struggling and his whole body went limp under Jin Zhe, his thin chest rose and fell violently while his slender legs slowly opened, it was the marked submissiveness that had come into play, he couldn’t resist the sentinel who had marked him, he could only acquiesce to the other party possessing him.
Jin Zhe’s heart ached, he desperately wanted to possess the guide, but a deep sense of guilt floated up inside him as he watched him cry himself to death. He stopped his offensive movements and wiped the tears from the boy’s face with his large hands, covering him with his lips to soothe his trembling body, his hand reaching down to feel between his legs, pleasuring his body in the easiest way a man could.
If everything was inevitable, at least it could come a little easier.
Teenage bodies were always extra sensitive, and soon the boy was agitated and accounted for in his hand.
“Oooooh…” the boy cried again, or maybe he hadn’t stopped all along, he just hadn’t made a sound just then.Jin Zhe smelled the faint odor of blood and touched his lips, finding them bitten there and oozing blood.
“Don’t cry, don’t cry.” Jin Zhe was stimulated by the bloody odor and calmed down a little, stopping with a gasp, “I’m sorry, I didn’t want to be like this, I said I wouldn’t touch you, but you know that’s not possible.”
With such a confined space, such a high level of compatibility, and no medication, they simply couldn’t resist their animalistic instincts, and unless one of them died between the two, sooner or later they would both go insane.
What oaths, what guarantees, in front of bonding heat and instincts, they are all as fragile as paper, breaking at the first poke.
Darkness, the boy whimpering weakly, his voice trailing off.Jin Zhe lifted his leg and touched his ass cheeks. The boy’s skin was exquisite, softer than a girl’s, the muscles at the base of his thighs quivering slightly.
“You’re going to regret this.” In Jin Zhe’s last memory, all he could remember was crying and saying this, “I’m sorry, I don’t want to do this, I’ve never killed anyone before…”
Jin Zhe’s mind snapped like a string breaking. He realized what had happened, but his entire consciousness was quickly engulfed by a fiery pain, losing all awareness.
He said, “You’ll regret this.”
Indeed, for over thirty years, Jin Zhe regretted it countless times. If he had been a little more ruthless, a little less humane, he would have claimed the boy without hesitation the moment he realized he was a guide. Now, their son could be older than Jin Xuan, and maybe even had grandchildren by now.
In the med bay, Jin Zhe knelt beside the unconscious Mu, his gaze heavy as he looked at the boy’s sleeping face. At the time, Mu had attacked his injured consciousness using the temporary mark, triggering his mania, causing him to bang his head against the rocks, nearly cracking his skull open. When the rescue team dug him out with a mecha, he had nearly bled to death, and his mental trauma lasted for three or four years without complete recovery, still causing headaches to this day.
Several patches of his scalp no longer grew hair, having undergone skin transplants multiple times to barely cover his skull. His vision had also been severely damaged during the attack, causing him lingering pain in absolute darkness.
Afterward, Jin Zhe tried countless methods to find the boy who had nearly killed him, but he was like a ghost. No one knew how he appeared or disappeared. When the rescue team dug Jin Zhe out, they found no traces of anyone else nearby, no other bodies unearthed. The boy seemed to have vanished into thin air, disappeared without a trace.
But Jin Zhe knew he must be alive. A person as ruthless and heartless as him wouldn’t die so easily.
Sure enough, even after thirty-two years, the God of Fate had brought him back before Jin Zhe.
Jin Zhe’s hand gently covered Mu’s face, his fingers less than half a millimeter away from his nose. The med bay was filled with his sweet scent, just like thirty-two years ago.
If he wished, he could claim this guide now. After more than thirty years, he was no longer the young man he once was. His consciousness defense was very strong, capable of resisting even the strongest guide attacks. As long as he quickly established the final mark, Mu wouldn’t dare to retaliate, because their lives would be bound together, and if one died, both would die.
“Rrr…” Barbary Lion impatiently nudged against his owner’s back, urging him not to be foolish and to act quickly. But Jin Zhe didn’t move, instead taking out a stabilizer and injecting himself again.
The lion roared angrily, baring its teeth at him, using telepathy to ask if he was too old and impotent, or if he had been a politician for too long and his orientation had changed.
“Get lost!” Jin Zhe answered with just one word, kicking it away with his foot.
The lion was kicked into a corner, tears streaming down its face. “Stop being stupid, you old bachelor. If you keep acting like this, you’ll be done for. You’re fifty-seven already, do you realize that?”
“Hush…” Jin Zhe’s lips curled into a strange smile as he raised a finger to his lips in a gesture of silence. He took out a set of sample vials from his waist pouch, opened the med bay cabinet, and randomly extracted samples of several different-colored potions. Then, he carefully put all the animals back in place without checking on the still unconscious Mu, and left the med bay.
The lion, summoned by his telepathy, reluctantly followed him out, standing at the door with tears streaming down its face. “My guide!”
“Don’t be impatient, old buddy,” Jin Zhe closed the narrow door and sealed the metal walls, addressing his quantum beast, “Dealing with such a heartless scoundrel must be done slowly. Don’t think that just because you’ve marked him, you’ll have him. He’ll hate me for the rest of his life. He’s not like ordinary people; we need to find a way to make him willingly fall in love with me.”
The lion stomped its feet angrily. “Only submissive beasts would fall in love with you. Your twisted mind is full of hooks!”
Jin Zhe kicked it. “Everyone must love me; I’m the President!”
The lion bit him in retaliation. “Love your ass! You’re losing your mind, old man. Even Jin Xuan doesn’t love you!”
“You’re just as old as me!” Jin Zhe grabbed its mane and slapped it twice. “I have my plan; don’t mess it up for me. If you want him, go for it yourself!”
The lion grumbled, “…I can’t find his quantum beast.”
“You idiot!” Jin Zhe retorted.
With his treacherous quantum beast in tow, the president returned to Wu Chenghe’s ward. Along the way, Jin Zhe carefully erased his own marks and replaced the surveillance cameras in the system with blanks.
“He’ll ask me to marry him on his own; don’t worry,” the President reassured his despondent quantum beast as they clung to the outer wall of the two-thousand-meter-high building. “Trust me, when have I ever lied to you?”
“Often,” the lion replied.
“Oh, really? Not this time,” Jin Zhe retorted.
“The wind is too loud; I can’t hear,” the lion claimed.
After a brief period of unconsciousness, Mu woke up to find that the bonding heat had passed, and he had returned to normal. However, his consciousness was still restless, and his body felt weak. This was the aftermath of the first injection of inhibitor, unavoidable and gradually fading on its own. Mu left the med bay and returned to his office to sleep. When he woke up, the self-cleaning robots had already cleared the area, eliminating all traces of his pheromones.
His chaotic mind regained its thinking ability as Mu lay in bed, quietly contemplating. He had experienced such a severe outbreak; the sentinel compatible with him must have been the same. So…
He contacted Sienna, “Teacher, is everything okay outside?”
“Oh, my goodness! Mu, how are you?”
“I’m fine, I’ve recovered.” Mu’s voice was hoarse. “Did anyone request to enter the center during the lockdown?”
“Yes, the President’s convoy once requested to return. They said they had canceled an event and wanted to see if Wu Chenghe had woken up. But later, they heard that the center was closed, so they didn’t come back.”
“Oh.” Had they also discovered something? Mu frowned. There were too many people around the president—assistants, bodyguards, secretaries… At least thirty people were within ten meters of the ward. It was too difficult to determine who among them was the sentinel perfectly compatible with him.
He couldn’t help but think back to thirty-two years ago. Was it the same sentinel both times? Mu couldn’t be sure; it felt like it, but he had been too young back then, undergoing adolescence, and his consciousness was extremely chaotic. Even though they had established telepathy through the temporary mark and controlled the other’s thoughts, he hadn’t had the chance to probe into the other’s memories amidst the confusion. Therefore, he had no idea who it was.
Later, he had tried to inquire about the survivors’ list from that operation, but it was classified military information, sealed due to a dereliction of duty case. He was just an ordinary medical student and couldn’t access it.
After many years, had that person joined the president’s special guard? Mu rubbed his head in distress, hoping that person didn’t know who he was; otherwise, it would be a disaster.
He never dreamed that the person was none other than the President himself, with his twisted mind full of hooks.

❤️❤️❤️
Good luck with that long game, JZ. Mu is pretty formidable then, and more so now.
I see he and JX share that same certainty and confidence.
Thank you both for the chapter.
JZ is so certain Mu will beg him. I hope it’s the other way around. He’d better be begging Mu to marry him before the story is over.
Seeing how Mu so lovingly keeps pieces of burnt scrap metal, I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually asks JZ to marry him LOL That said, Mu, it’s not easy at all. I expect a long road for these 2
