After ten thousand years, Li Muxing transformed back into human form. The dragon lady appeared emaciated, as if she could be blown away by the wind. She silently touched the remaining warmth on her forehead. Besides a kiss, a rainstorm, and the remains of a prison, Wu Luo had left her nothing.
Even the love words that had once been spoken during their farewell had turned into cruel techniques to imprison a dragon. Time wore down the feelings and wasted the warmth, until in the end, she had cursed them and prevented Wu Luo from ever seeing her again.
Was the love of the gods a blessing or a curse?
She looked at her hands, and the tears on her face couldn’t dried. The man in white gazed at her and slowly asked, “Dragon lady, what are your plans for the future?”
Li Muxing raised her eyes, a mixture of emotions stirring within her. Her lips moved woodenly several times before she muttered, “…I don’t know.”
The lifespan of a dragon was endless. As long as she wished, she could stand here for a hundred years or a thousand years. What did it matter? Her love had dissipated, and even hatred was futile. There was nothing left in the world to yearn for.
Sometimes, Li Muxing couldn’t help but wonder. When the dragons ascended to the skies, and left their entire clan behind, why was she the only one they abandoned? Had they foreseen the great calamity with Wu Luo that would entangle her fate, and that’s why they didn’t want her to be involved with them?
Yan Huan frowned, and smoothed the wrinkles in his robe. He’d seen Liu Fuguang’s lips pressed against the forehead of another dragon. Though he knew it was Wu Luo’s request, a strange, unspeakable bitterness still rose in his chest.
“What are you mourning now?” He asked her from above, speaking in the dragon language. “Your human loved you for ten thousand years. For you, he would sacrifice his life, sever his path, and give you his body and heart without reservation. What more do you want?”
Li Muxing’s nostrils flared. She instinctively bared her fangs and turned toward him with a fierce expression.
“One man’s honey is another’s poison,” she said sharply. “Don’t impose your wishes on me! What you say means nothing!”
She stared at the strange black dragon before her. Suddenly, she felt a chilling cold pierce through her soul, that ran up and down her scales.
She had been imprisoned for ten thousand years and had no way of knowing Yan Huan’s origins. But she could sense that black dragon had no dragon pearl and lacked a physical body. He was surviving entirely on soul power and was broken to an unimaginable extent. Yet, he was still alive and capable of exuding an intimidating power that made her wary.
“What are you?” Li Muxing sneered, her pain and hatred finally finding an outlet. “Daring to babble in front of me!”
Yan Huan also bared his sharp, chilling fangs. “Oh? A mere descendant of Yinglong, and you dare to defy me?”
The air crackled with thunder, as if violent lightning bolts were striking each other. It released a suffocating pressure. Liu Fuguang stepped between the two dragons, and his brows furrowed as he scolded, “Enough! Stop! After all this time, do you really want to fight to the death?”
While Yan Huan and Li Muxing spoke in the dragon language, their voices clashed like gold and stone, and Liu Fuguang couldn’t understand a word. However, he could clearly sense the tense atmosphere. At his reprimand, Yan Huan shrank his neck and let his ears droop. Li Muxing also felt her inner self shaken and instinctively retreated.
“Yinglong lady.” Liu Fuguang turned to Li Muxing. “I was entrusted by Wu Luo. He said you have slept for too long and don’t understand how things are now. You need someone to guide you. I think that surely you don’t want to stay here any longer, even though this is the world he has created…”
When she faced him, Li Muxing instinctively withdrew her sharpness. For some reason, she found herself willing to bare a part of her real self to a stranger.
Her face twisted with anger as she gasped, “Who says I don’t want to stay here?! On the contrary, I want to sink the land, and shatter every bone of Wu Luo! How dare he decide for me, thinking I would appreciate his sacrifice! I want to kill all living beings and turn this star into my nest. No one will live again, no one!”
“I will never forget what they did…Stupid, shameless creatures. They dared to speak of my past with Wu Luo, and used human words to distort my mind, calling me an evil dragon, a bastard. But everything they rely on for survival, it was all created by Wu Luo for me! For me! Ungrateful wretches, I will not forgive them. When the last one drowns in the sea, eaten by the fish, only then will my hatred be reduced by one ten-thousandth!”
The Yinglong cursed the heavens and the earth, as she threw a furious tantrum. Liu Fuguang looked at her, and just smiled sadly.
“A nest here?” he asked. “But this sea. All of it is Wu Luo’s tears for you.”
Li Muxing froze for a moment. She looked down and saw that the land was like a skeleton, while the deep blue sea stretched endlessly, with the waves trembling and whispering in the wind. She had indeed tasted that salty, bitter flavor…Even in her dreams, she often heard pleading cries – cries about the rain that had continued for thousands of years, about the wails in the rain, like tides and mist.
She gritted her teeth, as her own eyes filled with tears, but stubbornly refused to let them fall.
“Even so, what does it matter?” she retorted. “He’s been dead for a long time. Even if his form remains in this world, it’s only a useless trace of will. He couldn’t even free me from my plight, yet he’s asking others to do it…”
She turned to Liu Fuguang. “By the way, who are you two? A cultivator and a broken dragon soul. This combination is rather new.”
“Liu Fuguang, the Supreme Goodness,” Liu Fuguang helplessly pointed to himself, then gestured to Yan Huan. “Yan Huan, the Supreme Evil. At your service.”
Li Muxing furrowed her brows in confusion as she tried to understand what those titles meant. She shook her head. “Never heard of them. Can good and evil really be living spirits? It’s like black and white, or purity and filth obtaining bodies. Don’t joke with me.”
Her gaze shifted back and forth between Yan Huan and Liu Fuguang, but after a while, she suddenly realized that the man in white had spoken the truth! They really were the embodiment of the Supreme Evil and the Supreme Goodness.
“How could such a stupid thing exist in this world!” Li Muxing exclaimed. “Has the Dao of Heaven gone astray? How could it allow you to walk in the Mortal Realm?”
“I’ve been asking that question for thousands of years,” Liu Fuguang shrugged. “Maybe it’s just…fate playing tricks. Like you and Wu Luo.”
Li Muxing looked back and forth, and then noticed the way Yan Huan was looking at Liu Fuguang. Suddenly, she understood something.
“I see.” She spoke in dragon tongue. “So, you love him.”
Yan Huan responded, “Love is too shallow. He is my everything.”
Li Muxing frowned deeply.
What kind of Supreme Evil was he? In his eyes, there was only Liu Fuguang. For Liu Fuguang, he would do all the good deeds in the world, and for Liu Fuguang, he would also destroy one, or a hundred, vibrant stars.
Rather than calling him the Supreme Evil, it would be more accurate to say he was a chaotic demigod without principles, unable to distinguish between good and evil, and completely devoted to Liu Fuguang.
“Whose descendant are you?” Li Muxing asked. “Since the will of Heaven allows you to bear this title, your background must be extraordinary.”
Yan Huan glanced at her, and after a moment, answered indifferently, “Emperor’s lineage, the Eleven Dragon Lords.”
Li Muxing’s expression instantly changed. She stepped toward Liu Fuguang and looked at Yan Huan as if he were the plague.
“It’s you!” she hissed. “You’re their bloodline…”
The young dragon girl glanced at Liu Fuguang, and then suddenly smiled smugly.
“No wonder he doesn’t love you, right?” she said with a raised eyebrow, as if boasting. “Your human doesn’t love you because you’re the offspring of the world-destroying deity, and he’s the Supreme Goodness. Fire and water don’t mix. You can’t have him, and it’s only natural…”
Instantly, Yan Huan erupted in rage. He roared incoherently, a vicious dragon’s roar, and immediately charged toward the other dragon, intending to tear her apart. Liu Fuguang didn’t understand what they were arguing about, only that one moment, they were going back and forth, and the next, Yan Huan was intent on killing.
“Enough!” Liu Fuguang intervened, as he held his head in frustration and stepped between the two dragons. “Since you’re both so free, why don’t you go down, gather up the land, settle it properly, and ensure Wu Luo’s remains rest in peace. How about that?”
The two dragons grumbled at each other but obediently went off to gather the land. After two hours, Li Muxing, still a young dragon, and curious as ever following her new freedom, moved closer and asked, “I don’t know what kind of past you two have…But he’s so beautiful, and he’s the Supreme Goodness. The chances of you two being together are so small. Have you considered someone else?”
Yan Huan gave her a murderous glare, and Li Muxing sneered, “You know the nature of dragons. How painful it is for us to desire someone we can never have. You are a descendant of gods, considering others shouldn’t be difficult for you.”
Yan Huan took a deep breath, dizzy with anger at such a frivolous suggestion. He glanced at Liu Fuguang, who was watching them from a distance. He knew that he couldn’t kill her, but he still wanted to curse that impulsive young brat, but he was at a loss for words. How could he explain the complex history he shared with Fuguang, his guilt and deep affection for him, in just a few words so that the reckless fool would understand?
The words caught in his throat. Yan Huan turned toward Li Muxing, his expression cold. He opened all nine broken eyes on his body and said in a deep voice, “Even if others love me, they love me as a god. Only Liu Fuguang would unhesitatingly embrace an ugly beast like me.”
Li Muxing watched him in silence.
They lifted the scattered land. Li Muxing suddenly said, “I’ve made up my mind.”
Liu Fuguang looked at her gently, and Li Muxing continued, “I’ll stay here. I…I hate that Wu Luo acted on his own, but I have to take care of his grave, don’t I? After all, he’s…he’s the only one I ever loved. Besides, I have to correct the rumors. Everyone should understand that Wu Luo was not the hero who slayed dragons. He was my human. It’s time to set the record straight.”
Liu Fuguang nodded without objections. “I thought you would leave, leave this…” He made a vague gesture, to indicate Wu Luo’s remains which had bound her for nearly ten thousand years.
“I know,” Li Muxing smiled bitterly. “But, what can I do? I am a dragon, after all. When we are young, dragons are indulgent and reckless, until we really fall in love with someone who is truly ours. It’s like being reborn, and it never happens again.”
She spoke softly, “I had many strong and beautiful boys and girls, but I wasn’t happy. I always felt like something was missing in my soul…Until Wu Luo told me, when he saw how frightened I was, he couldn’t bear to leave me alone. Suddenly, I understood. After all those years with him, it was then that I finally found the missing part of me.”
Liu Fuguang stared at her, and Li Muxing smiled. “I might never be able to be happy again in this life, so I’d rather stay here. Maybe one day, when I’m tired, I’ll go somewhere else, but for now, I can’t let go of him.”
Liu Fuguang was silent for a moment, sighed, and said, “I understand. Once we finish what we need to do, I’ll come back to check on you.”
“Take care,” Li Muxing smiled. “And…thank you both for saving me.”
Her gaze drifted over to Yan Huan, and she exchanged a look with him, one that only those of their kind could understand.
Yan Huan frowned in silence, acknowledging her apology in his own way.
Three days later, Liu Fuguang and Yan Huan left the world of dragons and shamans, as they headed to their next destination.
The sea was calm, but Liu Fuguang couldn’t shake the feeling that the calm had reached its peak at this point.
.
As he looked at the cracked land of the new vast, barren world, Liu Fuguang picked up a handful of dry sand.
It was like the mirror space-time of the last star. In Li Muxing’s nest, the sea had covered at least nine-tenths of the land, but here, not a trace of water vapor could be found. The heat was suffocating, the air warped, and looking around, Liu Fuguang saw not a single living creature.
“A drought demon would probably love it here,” Yan Huan commented casually. “If this world were to breed a drought demon, it would definitely be a powerful evil being, no less than a god.”

LM got YH; LF should think on her words.
I can’t settle with LF as Supreme Goodness, who after all this time, still hasn’t got his head around YH being his polar opposite & expecting more from him. He wasn’t created to love, forgive, empathise, sympathise, or any other positive emotion. He’s Supreme Evil, for goodness sake! Young LF trusted YH too soon & YH didn’t get any of it.
So, a super powerful Drought Demon is next.
Thank you both for the chapter.
