Chapter 23: Elvis Didn’t Allow Drinking

Elvis’s brows and eyes curved slightly, almost imperceptibly. Yun Yingzhi licked the juice again. Elvis set the cup aside and resumed feeding the little white rabbit other foods. It was almost as if whatever Elvis fed Yun Yingzhi, the perpetually hungry little white rabbit couldn’t help but eat.

He felt like his stomach had no bottom. Theoretically, the smaller the second form, the smaller the appetite. But this didn’t really apply to Yun Yingzhi—his stomach was like a bottomless pit, especially capable of consuming food. Because of Elvis, more and more people started looking toward him and his little white rabbit.

Yun Yingzhi felt extremely socially mortified. He had originally planned to find an opportunity to shift back to human form, but now that seemed utterly impossible. As a human being treated like a genuine little pet, he still had some pride. In this situation, there was no way he could let anyone know he was himself.

Thinking this, Yun Yingzhi pretended to be a real little white rabbit, eating even more recklessly the food Elvis fed him. His eyes wandered around. Before today, he hadn’t attended any social gatherings, but this place didn’t seem much different from an ordinary banquet.

The attendees were mainly students from two academies. Fansa Academy, the Empire’s First Military Academy, and Eiffel Academy, the only girls’ school among the Ten Great Military Academies on the same Imperial star. There were also students from the other eight military academies who, for various reasons, had come to the Imperial star.

Yun Yingzhi’s eyelids twitched. Suddenly, a serious concern struck him—he thought he had heard Yun Yingyao’s voice earlier. Has Yun Yingyao arrived? Yun Yingzhi’s eyes darted around, searching for her.

Then… His gaze met a pair of dark, piercing eyes. Not far away, Yun Yingyao, with her long hair tied in a high ponytail, was staring at him coldly. Yun Yingzhi’s heart thumped loudly. He thought, maybe others wouldn’t recognize him, but Yun Yingyao probably… recognized him.

His ears twitched. With his keen hearing, he caught Huai Boshe saying, “A-Yao, didn’t you say you wouldn’t come? Why did you show up all of a sudden?”

Huai Boshe was here too? Earlier, Yun Yingzhi had focused all his attention on Yun Yingyao. Now, hearing Huai Boshe, he realized he had come as well. Yun Yingyao didn’t respond to Huai Boshe, her gaze still fixed on Yun Yingzhi, the little white rabbit. Yun Yingzhi felt that if a stare could peel the skin off a small animal, he would have already been skinned.

He curled up nervously in Elvis’s arms. Elvis scanned the room and saw Yun Yingyao. Pausing for a moment, he shifted the little white rabbit to another spot. The new position was perfect, creating enough distance so they couldn’t see each other.

Yun Yingzhi exhaled in relief. Elvis’s large hands ruffled the little white rabbit all over again. The little white rabbit shook his fur that was completely standing on end, and he felt completely frazzled. Elvis’s lips curved slightly.

The little white rabbit twitched his ears, forcing himself to stay calm, pretending to be an ordinary, obedient rabbit as he ate the food Elvis brought to his mouth. But… it didn’t matter if Yun Yingyao came—why did she have to be walking with that scumbag Huai Boshe? The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He stomped his foot, and the little white rabbit seemed ready to explode with fury.

Crack! In a fit of anger, Yun Yingzhi bit the juice cup Elvis had brought to his mouth, shattering it with a crisp sound.

Elvis pinched the little rabbit’s chin, inspecting his mouth. Finding no injuries, he set the broken cup aside and frowned, saying, “You can’t eat this.”

The little white rabbit’s face fell, and he turned his head away from Elvis.

From the crowd, someone exclaimed, “Wow, that little white rabbit’s teeth are really strong!”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ Normal rabbits couldn’t have teeth this strong.

At that moment, Yun Yingzhi felt extremely tense. He worried that anyone noticing his abnormality would firmly conclude that he really was Yun Yingzhi.

The next moment, someone, who looked vaguely familiar and seemed to be a Fansa Academy student, said sincerely, “I used to think that little white rabbit might be our school flower Yingzhi, but now… look at it effortlessly biting that cup in half. It can’t be our school flower!”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ His eyelid twitched, feeling subtly insulted. Even worse, many others agreed, genuinely thinking the statement was right.

Someone in the crowd said, “Yeah, our Yingzhi is so delicate. He doesn’t have that kind of strength at all.”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ Really… These people were harmless, but absolutely insulting.

Silently, he turned his small body in Elvis’s arms, pressing his face to Elvis’s chest. He didn’t want to see anyone. But the very hungry little white rabbit soon turned back and opened his mouth, eating what Elvis brought to him.

While eating, he couldn’t help but keep observing, looking left and right. He also spotted Yu Feiwen and the others. His ears twitched. Using his keen hearing, he caught them looking for him.

Ji Xiaobo said, “I’ve always thought that the prince’s little rabbit and our Yingzhi’s second form looked very similar. Now it looks even more alike.”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ He had eaten a lot from Elvis’s feeding. Now he wanted some wine. Really wanted some wine. Normally, Yun Yingzhi wasn’t allowed to drink, but now the banquet hall was full of alcohol. He wanted to try.

He noticed that Elvis seemed very easy to persuade. Using his little paws, he tapped Elvis. Elvis’s eyelids twitched, his expression unchanging. With a slight movement of his hand, he adjusted the little white rabbit’s position so they were facing each other directly.

Their eyes met. The little white rabbit once again felt that Elvis was just an icy, expressionless person. It was incredibly surprising that someone like him could actually like cute little pets. The little white rabbit pointed with his tiny paws at the champagne carried by the attendants.

Elvis paused for a moment and said softly, “No.”

The little white rabbit was a little upset, slapping Elvis’s arm in frustration.

“I said no,” Elvis replied.

The little white rabbit blinked his big, watery eyes. Suddenly, those black, shiny eyes turned into adorable, teary, cartoon-like big eyes. His tiny paws pressed together, rubbing against each other. His little rabbit face was full of anticipation.

Elvis blinked and met the little white rabbit’s teary gaze. Words reached the tip of his mouth, but he didn’t speak for a long moment. Yun Yingzhi felt hopeful. The little white rabbit perked up, trying even harder. Both tiny paws climbed onto Elvis, looking obedient, cute, and soft.

A student in the crowd whispered excitedly, “Oh my gosh! That’s just a little rabbit, but how is it so clingy?”

Another student said, “You don’t know. My girlfriend goes to Fansa Academy. She told me she personally saw this little rabbit clinging so tightly to Elvis that when he didn’t want to hold it, it hung precisely on the most important spot for a man!”

“Oh my god! This is a little pervy rabbit!”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ Heat rushed through his body. The little rabbit wobbled, feeling completely flustered. He sniffed and forced down his embarrassment, thinking that as long as no one knew he was actually Yun Yingzhi, he had nothing to fear!

As a cute little pet, what does he need shame for? Thinking this, Yun Yingzhi steadied his wobbly little body.

Another student in the crowd exclaimed, “This little rabbit must still be very young—a newborn little bunny! It can’t even stand properly and still wobbles like that. So cute!”

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ He pretended not to hear the comments from the passersby, pressed his face against Elvis’s chest. Then after pulling back a small distance, his shiny, teary eyes met Elvis’s gaze.

Elvis’s brow twitched sharply. He glanced toward the champagne, seemingly hesitating. The little white rabbit tried even harder, inching closer to Elvis and pressing against him again. But… It still didn’t work.

The little white rabbit thought, “Elvis doesn’t know his own luck!”

Still, he wrapped both paws and feet around Elvis’s clothes and started climbing up.

Seeing this, Elvis seemed both worried that the little white rabbit might fall and curious about what he intended to do. He created a transparent protective barrier around the little rabbit using his space ability and kept his gaze fixed on him.

The little white rabbit climbed all the way to Elvis’s shoulder. He pressed his cheek against Elvis’s. Elvis’s lips curved slightly, unable to hide a small smile. The crowd watched this scene and once again thought the little white rabbit was irresistibly cute. Many of them, especially the students who did not attend Fansa Academy, hadn’t previously thought the little white rabbit was adorable, but now they genuinely felt he was utterly charming. They wanted so badly to raise a little bunny who was affectionate, clingy, and cute.

The little white rabbit pressed his cheek against Elvis again and then pointed at the champagne.

A male student in the crowd said, “It looks like it’s trying to get food by acting cute.”

“So smart for such a tiny pet. It knows how to use cuteness to get food.”

“But… I wanted to ask earlier, can a little rabbit even drink this?”

“Of course! It’s not like it’s from ancient genes.”

Amidst all the chatter, Elvis finally took a glass of champagne and fed a sip to the little white rabbit. The little white rabbit perked up instantly, finding the wine delicious. One sip wasn’t enough. He tapped Elvis, signaling that he wanted more. Elvis hesitated for a moment, then fed him another sip. The little white rabbit still wasn’t satisfied and tapped again.

A female student in the crowd gasped, “Wow! I didn’t expect this little white rabbit to be a tiny alcoholic!”

The little white rabbit paused. When Elvis tried to take the glass away again, he tapped him to show he wanted more.

Elvis frowned. “Enough.”

Perhaps due to the alcohol, and being full and sleepy, Yun Yingzhi’s mind was a little fuzzy. His actions became purely instinctual. The little white rabbit pressed against Elvis, acting cute and begging for more wine. Elvis hesitated, frowning, exuding a chilling aura, yet still gave him another sip. But when Elvis tried to take the glass away this time, the little white rabbit refused, clinging to it. Elvis’s eyelids twitched.

Seeing the little white rabbit’s deep love for the wine, some secretly watching people chuckled and grew even more eager to have a little bunny of their own.

Elvis said coldly, “I told you, you can’t drink any more.”

The little rabbit’s tiny body swung in midair, dissatisfied, letting out a single-syllable, “Da!” Hmph!

Someone in the crowd asked in confusion, “Wait… do little rabbits make sounds like that? Aren’t rabbits supposed to be quiet?”

Hearing this, Yun Yingzhi’s mind jolted awake. Suddenly, he wondered, why was he with Elvis? In his second form, drinking alcohol came with restrictions. But what if he drank in human form? Then no one could stop him. Adults drinking—what’s the problem?

Thinking this, the little white rabbit swayed midair, then executed a precise leap. In a flash, he jumped several meters away. Everything happened instantly. The little white rabbit’s tiny body seemed to teleport, disappearing from everyone’s view in the blink of an eye.

The suddenness left everyone stunned. Elvis stared at his own hands, radiating a low-pressure, obviously displeased aura. Clearly, he was angry that the little white rabbit had escaped. Those who had considered approaching Elvis now dared not come near.

Meanwhile, elsewhere… Yun Yingzhi found a secluded spot and sneakily shifted back into human form from his little rabbit shape. He immediately opened his personal terminal and saw many private messages from classmates. They asked where he was and why they couldn’t find him.

Yun Yingzhi replied to them one by one, glanced at the time—it was already past 9 p.m. at night. He thought for a moment, walked a few unsteady steps, and steadied himself by holding the wall. Using his slightly drunk, foggy mind, he decided to eat a little more, then go home and sleep.

He was still a bit hungry.

With that in mind, Yun Yingzhi left his hiding spot, took a glass of wine from a tray carried by an attendant in the hall, and sipped it in a corner. Delicious. Truly the wine that his older brother had forbidden him from drinking since childhood—it was really good. There’s a saying: the more elders forbid something, the more eager one becomes.

Yun Yingzhi didn’t remember the first time he drank, but he remembered that ever since he could recall, Yun Yinghui had told him he absolutely could not drink. So Yun Yingzhi loved it all the more. He finished one glass, then drank another. His eyes swept around, noticing that many people had gathered around Elvis, Wei Yuanqing, and the others.

Wei Yuanqing was easygoing. To Yun Yingzhi, he seemed like a superficially friendly “central air conditioner,” but anyone who actually got close would know he was terrifying. Just like Yun Yingzhi and his three roommates felt—there was something about him that radiated the aura of a major villain.

And then there was Elvis. His presence was innate and commanding. Many wanted to approach him, but the aura surrounding him, combined with his lofty demeanor, meant they could only admire him from a distance.

Yun Yingzhi spotted Huai Boshe and Yun Yingyao again. Yun Yingyao seemed to be looking for someone, her gaze scanning the crowd. Yun Yingzhi shrank instinctively, trying to hide in a spot where Yun Yingyao couldn’t see him. What was he afraid of? Why was he hiding? It was just his sister! He wasn’t scared at all! Then, suddenly, a memory flashed in his mind—the bowl shattered into pieces yesterday.

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ His eyelid twitched. Irritated, he downed another glass of wine in one gulp. His body swayed several times, almost losing balance. Drunk people never realize they’re drunk, especially now, when Yun Yingzhi was utterly exhausted.

Instinctively, he felt something wasn’t quite right with himself. He wanted to drink a little more, then find a place to sleep. If that didn’t work, he could just shift into his little white rabbit form and let his three roommates carry him away. Clearly, in his drunken state, Yun Yingzhi’s shame had dropped to its lowest point. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with transforming into his second form and being carried.

Suddenly, a student from Zangfeng Academy approached, holding a glass of wine and walking toward the corner where Yun Yingzhi was. Yun Yingzhi’s mind felt foggy.

The student looked at him and said, “Beautiful Yingzhi, I’ve always wanted to see you again. It’s wonderful to have the chance today.”

Yun Yingzhi shook his head slightly, looking at the person before him. He felt like there were several people in front of him. Squinting, he tried to focus, but still couldn’t see clearly. From the multiple overlapping images, he recognized who the person was. It wasn’t a pleasant memory.

Every year, some students from other academies come to Fansa Academy as exchange students. Yun Yingzhi remembered that this particular student had come last year. Back then, he had confessed to Yun Yingzhi and was rejected. He had then tried to use force to suppress Yun Yingzhi. Yun Yingzhi had truly been frightened—but luck had been on his side.

This student had been relatively weak. In the deep woods of Fansa Academy, Yun Yingzhi had transformed into his second form, hiding his small body in the shadows. Then, amidst the student’s shouts, the tiny little white rabbit had grabbed him and bounced, throwing him to the ground in one flawless motion—an extraordinary performance.

Recalling it afterward, Yun Yingzhi still felt lingering fear. He realized his remarkable reaction was mainly due to the urgency of the situation, pushing past his limits to save himself. Yun Yingzhi’s face scrunched up as he thought about that terrible memory, his gaze toward the student filled with hostility.

Yet, no matter how strong his hostility, his body still swayed. Almost instinctively, as in the past, the first thought in a crisis was to contact Huai Boshe for help. Drunk Yun Yingzhi instinctively did the same. By the time he realized it, he had already opened his personal terminal, taken Huai Boshe off the blacklist, and dialed him.

He thought again, Wait, Huai Boshe was a jerk. He shook his head, trying to sober up and re-add Huai Boshe to the blacklist. Before he could hang up, Huai Boshe had already answered.

On the other end, Huai Boshe said, “Yingzhi, I’m busy right now. Let’s talk tomorrow, okay?” Then he hung up.

Yun Yingzhi, “…“ His eyelid twitched as he looked at the student in front of him.

The student said, “Yingzhi, I think there’s been a misunderstanding between us. I’ve always wanted to apologize to you.”

Yun Yingzhi’s mind suddenly flashed to the bowl he had smashed yesterday. Then he thought of his three battles in the Yaoming Battle Arena. And then, last year’s breakthrough. Could he, like before, transform into his little white rabbit form and give this person a harsh lesson?

Pick him up! Throw him! Throw him again! Throw a few more times, then escape. But after he threw him the first time, the opponent might realize something was wrong? No matter. Do it first, think later.

The male student said, “Yingzhi, I hope you can forgive me. That day, I…”

Yun Yingzhi, suddenly, transformed directly in front of the student into a little white rabbit about 30 cm tall. The Zangfeng Academy student’s eyelids twitched. He looked down at the tiny white rabbit. The little white rabbit took a step toward him.

This little rabbit was unusual. Other rabbits hopped when they walked, but this one walked like a human. The male student felt a strange sense of familiarity. No… not familiarity. It was unfamiliar. Previously, he had been the one that was drunk. Now, it was Yun Yingzhi.

And… Yun Yingzhi was so drunk that even his tiny little white rabbit body couldn’t walk steadily. He wobbled with every step, almost toppling over. The male student’s mouth twitched. He crouched slightly, intending to pick up the little white rabbit.

Everything happened in an instant. Seeing the male student approach, the little white rabbit’s tiny body bristled instantly. He shook his head, trying to sober himself up. But it proved that his mind was still very fuzzy, and only one thought remained: The student in front of him was not a good person. He needed to hit him.

Huh? But… why did he need to hit him? He didn’t remember—only that the guy was especially asking for it. Never mind. Better hit him first, then figure it out? Hit!

Then… The little white rabbit’s tiny body surged toward the male student at a speed so fast that it left an afterimage. His two tiny paws and two little feet latched onto the student’s body. Somehow, the little white rabbit used his strength and lifted the student into the air!

The male student’s eyes went wide. He was completely stunned. Because of the shock, he couldn’t react in time. He was thrown directly onto a dining table. The entire table shook violently. The glass and porcelain on its surface fell and shattered on the floor.

—crash! crash! crash!

The students were shocked, eyes wide, staring at the male student sprawled on the table. The table cracked, and the male student toppled from it onto the floor. What… what just happened? Why did this suddenly occur?

The crowd focused their gaze along the male student’s line of sight—and they saw the little white rabbit that belonged to Prince Elvis. Elvis noticed his little white rabbit immediately. He rose from his seat and moved toward him. The entire venue fell silent. The crowd glanced at the Zangfeng Academy student, then at the adorable little white rabbit.

The little white rabbit was tiny, his body still wobbling. It was obvious that his condition was far from normal. His eyes fixed on the Zangfeng Academy student. His mind was still a little fuzzy, and he was a little annoyed. The wobbling and fuzziness were interfering with his performance.

Whatever. He could deal with it. At that moment, he had only one thought: throw him a few more times, then worry about everything else later. Nothing else mattered.

Drunk Yun Yingzhi surged forward again. The tiny little white rabbit became a fierce little combat rabbit. His movement was almost instantaneous. Before anyone could process what was happening, the little rabbit’s small body had latched onto the male student. Seeing this, Elvis’s brow furrowed, his forehead twitching sharply.

Meanwhile, some students were silently screaming inside their heads, “The little white rabbit is so cute! Those little paws and tiny feet are just too adorable—and so clingy! I want the little rabbit to latch onto me like that too!”

Next, they saw the little white rabbit exert all his strength, lifting the male student high into the air. Then… A merciless slam!

Elvis, “…“

All the students present, “…“ Holy crap!

At that moment, the crowd could hardly believe what they were seeing. That was just a fragile little rabbit!
