“Doctor Shang, I believe you should also be a gentleman, why don’t we sit down and talk?” Just when Shang HaoJia’s hand touched the phone, the man suddenly appeared in front of him.

No one could see how he crossed the wide examination table and came directly to Shang HaoJia’s side. But he did stand there firmly, one hand on Shang HaoJia’s arm, his face still wearing a pleasant smile.

The two were close, so close that Shang HaoJia could clearly realize that the other was still without a heartbeat, not breathing, his skin was not bloodshot, and his pupils were still dilated.

From any point of view, it was the standard state of death.

Common sense would dictate that Doctor Shang should have quickly dropped the handset, shouting ‘ghost’ and fleeing. But with two interns still standing in the doorway, it was clear that Doctor Shang, who had a huge responsibility, could not just give in and ruin the entire department’s image.

Shang HaoJia took a second to think of a countermeasure, looked down and found that the other party’s feet were still standing on the ground, and finally felt some comfort in his heart. “The emergency room is not the place to chat. If you want to explain what happened today, we can go to my office to talk about it in detail.”

The rest of the injured were mostly common injuries, and the remaining manpower was already sufficient. Under the sad gaze of the entire emergency room, Doctor Shang led the two uninvited guests out of the emergency room with calm rather than stiff steps, and walked towards his office.

When he entered the office, Wei Long suddenly stepped forward and took Shang HaoJia’s right hand, which he had not yet had time to take his gloves off of. He gracefully leaned over and placed a light kiss on the back of his hand. “This handsome gentleman, I come from the ancient Middle Ages and am a vampire of English blood. This is the first time we meet, please allow me to give you my most sincere greetings—”

“Although I’m not quite sure about the etiquette of medieval Europe, I still at least know that the kissing hand salute is supposed to be used for ladies.” Shang HaoJia took off his gloves, tucked them smoothly into the pocket of his white suit, and looked cautiously at the person in front of him who should be sent to psychiatry anyhow. “I originally wanted you to produce evidence that you are a vampire, but now it seems that if you are not a vampire, you are about to rewrite the entire medical community’s determination of death…”

“In your scientific system, we were originally an anti-scientific being, weren’t we?”

Wei Long smiled and nodded, cleverly avoiding the discussion about the kissing hand salute, “Please allow me to add an extra word to introduce you to my loyal friend and butler his name is He JiaLun, a werewolf who also suffers from certain diseases. “

After his three views were completely subverted by a vampire, Shang HaoJia did not hesitate to give up continuing to adhere to the scientific front. He quickly restored his Emergency Department doctor’s professionalism, and casually took out a medical record folder, “By the way, I remember this friend of yours said that you saw blood and that’s why you fainted so you actually suffer from hemophobia?”

“I’m very ashamed to say it, but I do suffer from hemophobia.” Wei Long had an apologetic smile on his face and leaned down slightly towards him, “In fact, I could have perfectly avoided the sudden car accident. It’s just that the scene I saw when I landed was too bloody, so I was temporarily incapacitated. We must express our heartfelt apologies for the trouble and distress caused to your hospital, and promise that we will deal with it promptly and will definitely not cause you any trouble.”

The vampire, who seemed to have come out of a novel, gave him a headache, and Shang HaoJia rubbed his forehead, finally interrupting his overly cumbersome wording, “It caused no trouble for our hospital. But with all due respect for a vampire to actually have hemophobia, this can be considered a terminal disease, you sure you are not kidding me?”

Wei Long was not upset by the interruption, but sighed helplessly and nodded in agreement, “I also often feel distressed by this matter. Because of this headache, I also had to be separated from my community for years…”

Before his words ended, the werewolf on the side took up the sentence in a good-natured manner, and took a step forward provocatively, showing his teeth towards Wei Long, “You call it separation? You’re a medieval pure-blood vampire, and you actually faint when seeing blood. Didn’t you sleep until the twenty-first century, causing your pure-blood clan, once thought to be extinct, to come back? You’re simply a fake vampire, right?”

Wei Long looked at him regretfully, shook his head and sighed, “So it’s true that werewolves are a race insulated from gentlemen I’m talking to this Doctor Shang now. Must you interrupt our light-hearted conversation with these old stories?”

Under the ancient high-ranking vampire’s kind gaze, the new generation werewolf couldn’t help but take two steps back, but still defiantly pushed back, “You always flirt with a good-looking one when you meet them, but even if you do, what’s the point? You wouldn’t even dare to bite him and see blood anyway.”

Wei Long rubbed his jaw, looked thoughtfully at the werewolf in front of him, and shook his head gently with regret, “JiaLun, if you are aggressive like this again, I will have to consider whether I should take you for a rabies vaccination…”

“Rabies vaccine doesn’t need to be done at the hospital. You just need to go to the provincial CDC as an outpatient.” Shang HaoJia interjected, but then suddenly thoughtfully shook the pen in his hand, “No, I’m not quite sure what species a werewolf should be considered as you could also take him to a pet hospital. The rabies vaccine is designed for humans, and it may not work on him.”

“What’s going on with you two? Didn’t you just meet him? How come he’s already joined in on bullying me?” He JiaLun looked at the two people who seemed to have reached some kind of consensus, shook his head in disbelief, turned around and walked out, “I’d rather not be with you two. I now doubt very much that you will not give me to this doctor for dissection as a test subject…”

“Doctor Shang, you are indeed a very interesting person.” Ignoring his anxious friend, Wei Long looked at the human doctor in front of him with a smile, and the admiration in his eyes grew stronger, “Most people are frightened and panicked when they first learn of our true identity. But apart from the initial nervousness you felt when I approached, you actually quickly calmed down, very admirable indeed.”

“I would still rather admit the existence of vampires and werewolves as opposed to completely overturning the medical theories and reworking the textbook.” Shang HaoJia put down the medical record folder in his hand, put the pen back in his pocket, put his palms together against the tip of his nose, and leaned forward slightly to look at him, “I’ve heard that vampires can recover quickly after being injured, is that really true?”

“As long as our power is not consumed too much, it is possible.” Wei Long nodded and raised his eyebrows, with some curiosity in his eyes, “Does Doctor Shang have something you need help with? To make up for today’s apologies, I would be more than happy to help you.”

“So here’s the thing the thesis I’m working on now has to do with the rapid hemostasis of wounds and the drugs and hormones that can speed up the healing of wounds.” Shang HaoJia gave a satisfied smile, rubbed his hands together, and suddenly pulled out a sharp scalpel from the drawer, “If it’s convenient for Mr. Wei, can I be allowed to remove a portion of your body tissue and take it back for a biopsy?”

LOL, I love this chapter!!! So hilarious! And I don’t know why but at first I read the title as ‘My Homophobic Vampire” instead of “My Hemophobic Vampire” only catching my mistake after reading the summary. (facepalming at myself)

Thank you for the chapter!!!
