Chapter 14: Asura Field

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Mimosa

When Ming Huan entered school, Shu Yun had been graduating that year. As the Federation’s 1st Military Academy’s most excellent graduate representative from the medical school, the school specially had him greet him. They said that Ming Huan was predicted to differentiate into an SSS-mental energy level dragon that he needed to take special care of.

This was especially in terms of physical health. So in the first year, he had the most contact with Ming Huan and spent more time with him than Xie Shuci. He also had an impression of Xie Shuci. He remembered that before he graduated, Xie Shuci was a quiet and well-behaved young omega. He liked to follow Ming Huan silently.

Xie Shuci was the opposite of Ming Huan, who was as lively and careless as his name suggested.

“So that’s how it is.” Shu Yun said, “But you are also an omega, we are not suitable to stay here, why not go out first?”

“I haven’t differentiated yet.” Xie Shuci walked over to Ming Huan and helped him adjust the angle of the hospital bed so he could sit more comfortably, “I don’t have pheromones.”

Shu Yun was given a short blocker and could not smell any pheromone now.

However,  Xie Shuci was driving people away under the guise of pheromones, and he was not deaf.

As Shu Yan was the eldest son of the director of the Capital Hospital, he was raised as an heir before differentiating into an omega.

Now he was also one of the very few omega-dedicated doctors serving in the Capital Hospital.

He was thinking that for a soft and pretty omega like Xie Shuci, who was raised by the richest family with money, that the stars and moon in the sky that should belong to him was different.

‘Why could Xie Shuci be matched with Ming Huan?’

A little bit of the sourness that has been buried inside for a long time was dug out, and Shu Yun coldly returned a sentence, “Xie Shuci, you know for [pre-match], why are there two words in advance? Because there is uncertainty in it. Don’t you still have a 24.6% probability of differentiating into beta?”

Xie Shuci was sprinkling the flowers with a watering can. The bright and fluorescent flowers were preferred by Ming Huan, and this time he deliberately picked the most expensive bouquet.

After hearing Shu Yun’s words, the watering action stopped abruptly.

“Almost a quarter. The probability is small, but this kind of random event, I guess, as a doctor, is not rare. I just want to remind you that if you differentiate into a beta, the pre-match should not count, Ming Huan’s differentiation into alpha probability is 99.9%. With his SSS-mental energy level status, he will not marry a beta, not even if he is beautiful.”

Ming Huan had just inhaled the tranquilizer and still had not finished digesting so his response time was a bit sluggish. Now the more he listened, the more confused he was. He didn’t notice the storm between the two omegas at all, and he only felt that they were talking so seriously.

There was little warmth in Shu Yun’s eyes. Xie Shuci was known for his good temper, but at this moment, there was no smile under his eyes. He put down the water sprinkler.

“Can the son of the president of Capital Hospital just look at other people’s differentiation prediction reports?” Xie Shuci’s tone was cool, “Moreover, why is it that you know so well the differentiation prediction report data of Ming Huan and me?”

“I….” Shu Yun seemed to be a balloon whose heart was poked. When he had just graduated and differentiated into an omega, he had indeed used his father’s authority to secretly check Ming Huan’s differentiation prediction data. He was even secretly happy when he learned that he would differentiate into an alpha. However, he had then thought of the very beautiful fellow student named Xie who was with Ming Huan, and checked his as well.

He had a 69.4% chance of turning into an omega.

Ming Huan’s brain was buzzing with noise before he finally came to his senses. He realized that the atmosphere was not right.

Everyone was in the same school, and they were the best students of Federation’s 1st Military Academy. How come this omega and the prospective omega seemed to have a long-standing feud?

In the past, their relationship was not so bad.

“Uh….” Ming Huan intended to interject.

Hearing the movement, Shu Yun quickly wiped away the bit of embarrassment on his face and turned his head to look at the young alpha on the hospital bed, “I have a good relationship with Ming Huan, I checked his differentiation probability when I graduated, what’s wrong, Ming Huan, you want to sue me?”

The latter sentence was said in front of Ming Huan.

This particular thing was not a big secret and like asking about weight or eye degree, it was just a number.

Ming Huan scratched his head, “It’s okay, this…. If you ask me directly, I will also tell you.”

At that, Xie Shuci’s eyes went cold and he squeezed his fingers in silence for a while, “Oh yeah? If senior asks me, I won’t tell.”

‘You mean you’re going to take Shu Yun to Federation Court for this little thing?’

‘I don’t think so.’

;How come two people somehow actually quarreled over a matter of differentiation probabilities?’

Ming Huan panicked, thinking what a mature alpha should do now.

‘Yes, persuade’.

‘Persuasion, ah ah!’

‘How to persuade?’

‘Yes, be impartial, help both sides, a bowl of water to end evenly!’

Mature alphas were rational, neutral, and objective.

“I will tell you. I know the probability of Shuci’s differentiation. If the senior asks me, I will also say that as well.”

The corner of Ming Huan’s mouth corner pulled out a little arc, and the former sentence helped Shu Yun’s case. Immediately after pulling Xie Shuci’s sleeve, he began to speak for Xie Shuci, “Senior, a few months ago when Shuci had just reached the growth period, his growth period was temperamental and he was a little petulant, do not worry about it. He was not like this before. You guys shouldn’t get upset over this little thing.”

‘Petulant.’

Shu Yun did not think so.

Xie Shuci’s inexplicable aggressiveness didn’t seem to fall under the category of petulance.

“It’s fine.”

“It’s all right.”

‘Ah, that’s good.’

Ming Huan breathed a sigh of relief.

However, the battle situation inexplicably escalated.

“Anyway, he’s an omega who’s about to transfer to another school.” Shu Yun curled his lips, “The family has a lot of money, so what’s wrong with being a bit petulant? Who told him to be lucky and match with an SSS-level alpha? But Xie Shuci, you can not be cocky, do not come to me to show off.”

Xie Shuci actually did not let it go at all. “It was you, who came to my fiancé’s ward, not me who came to you.”

“Didn’t I say that you’re not a fiance yet.”

“Immediately I am.”

“It’s not up to you.”

Ming Huan had two big heads.

Now he realized, ‘This is like, like, like….’

‘It’s like a battlefield!’

‘Not an ordinary talk, it was the field of asura, the asura field of the main character that was attacked by 10,000 fans!’

“The results of the [pre-match] were just released, and the engagement application has not been approved yet.” Shu Yun sneered back.

“I don’t know if Ming Huan agrees or not. I just know that Senior’s fiancé has already agreed.”

After seeing the two people’s expressions getting colder and colder; Ming Huan: overwhelmed.jpg.

Just when the standoff was over, the door handle behind Xie Shuci turned gently.

With a click, the person who pushed the door raised his eyes to see Ming Huan and two young omegas sharing a room.

Ming Huan, ‘!!!’

Yu Hanzhou, ‘…?’

Before leaving, he said to stay away from young omegas. How come he had been gone for less than an hour and there were two of them standing in the ward? One of them was already differentiated.

Yu Hanzhou knew that the pheromone left by him on Ming Huan was faint, but the pressure should be very strong. Ordinary omegas simply cannot adjust. This one should have used an isolate to get in.

“Ming Huan, what’s going on?”

“Just, just happened to be.”

“There are so many capital hospital branches, how come it just so happens that Senior is on duty here today? Is it really a coincidence?” Xie Shuci also did not recognize Yu Hanzhou, who was in civilian clothes, and did not care too much when he saw that the one who came in seemed to be an alpha. He only coldly questioned the omega in front of him.

“I am a doctor, not at any particular hospital. Instead, how did you, a student, come here? It’s not actually coincidental, right?” Shu Yun stuck his hand in the coat’s shirt pocket.

“It’s me. I happened to…. I don’t know how, I just happened to be sick.”

Ming Huan’s voice was a little weak, “We’re all from the same school, be nice, be nice.”

Yu Hanzhou, “….”

He pushed the floor-to-ceiling window open straight away and looked back at the two well-formed and long-looking omega, and then at the embarrassed young alpha of his own family on the hospital bed.

“Dr. Shu.”

Shu Yun, who was suddenly coldly called by a strange man, looked up.

The young man in black was still wearing his pair of glasses and was really tall. This time when he was close, he realized that this man might be from the military, and his demeanor carried the decisive and cold feeling of a soldier.

“Thank your father for me, I’ve done the discharge procedure. Now I’m going to take him away.”

The hospital’s secrecy policy was so good that few people knew that Shu Yun’s father was the director of Capital Hospital.

He froze.

Vaguely, he seemed to be able to guess that this young man’s identity was not simple.

It wasn’t.

However, after Ming Huan had the differentiation phase syndrome, the man’s act of dabbing pheromone on the hatchling made sense – it was to keep the omegas from getting close to the hatchling easily.

Shu Yun’s mind was spinning fast, and he quickly realized that the judgment of classifying the young alpha’s behavior as alpha possessiveness might really be inaccurate.

“Okay.” With that in mind, he didn’t question the man’s identity, but silently left the room.

“Shuci. your transfer matter, your father has withdrawn the application. In the future, you will continue to attend Federation’s 1st Military Academy. However, Ming Huan now has a serious differentiation period syndrome, and I am going to consider the engagement after you are both officially differentiated. Do you have a problem with that?”

Xie Shuci shot a look at Yu Hanzhou and seemed to have guessed who he was. Looking at the unfamiliar face, he slowly lowered his eyes and pursed his lips for another moment of silence, “No.”

“Hmm. Well, Ming Huan, let’s go home.” Yu Hanzhou did not say anything more. He was really like a calm old father, and he put a hand-knitted blanket over Ming Huan’s body, touching his fingers to Ming Huan’s arm several times and observing his reaction. Wearing a white fleece sweater, Ming Huan was thin, and his long hand fetched the person into his arms.

This time, Ming Huan did not smell the scent of pheromones on Yu Hanzhou.

He also did not have that aversion to touching mentality.

This time he seemed to remember that when he was a cub, Yu Hanzhou often hugged him like this.

Yu Hanzhou did not say anything on the surface and just stuffed the person into the enclosed craft before he began to interrogate, “What’s going on? How come there are two omegas fighting in your ward?”

“I don’t know….” Ming Huan grunted.

It’s because I transmigrated as the main character.

“A good alpha will not sway between two omegas.” Yu Hanzhou coldly educated, “Moreover, one of them is already someone else’s fiance. Meddling in the marriages of couples whose match is higher than 60% which are protected by Federation law is a maximum sentence of several years.”

Ming Huan, cowering under a small blanket, didn’t hesitate to extend five fingers. “Five years….”

“Hmm. Kinda clear to recite.”

“But that has to be if you’re already married.” Ming Huan was purely discussing the letter of the law with Yu Hanzhou, “Senior Shu Yun is a good match, but he’s not married yet, he’s only engaged. So there will be no sentence.”

Ming Huan, who thought he got a perfect score on the question, grinned.

Yu Hanzhou, “….”

He began to suspect that his moral education of Ming Huan was somewhat inadequate.

“Ming Huan.” Yu Hanzhou’s face was rarely this serious, “Don’t you have a match? Why are you trying to steal someone else’s person?”

Ming Huan, “?”

“I asked you to memorize the Federation law, but it was not for you to exploit such loopholes.”

Ming Huan, “???”

“You spend all day either drinking with this omega or visiting that omega’s house, and you can meet one of them on a trip to the hospital, and you’re stuck in the hospital room arguing. Are you prepared to be an alpha like that?”

‘Ah, this.’ Ming Huan grimaced. His sweater was a little too long, and his little fists clenched in his sleeves. ‘You can say that I’m lacking in other areas. But you can’t say I’m bad for omegas!’

Ming Huan was an omega in his last life. In this life, he met few people, but to the fragile and cute young omegas, he was accommodating and caring. Today, the two young omegas had a fight in the ward, how did it become a problem for him?

“How am I not a good alpha?!” Ming Huan blew up. He took off his shoes and stepped on the leather bench, turned around, and turned away from Yu Hanzhou.

“That’s not what I meant. I’m saying that you’re not very mature in the way you handle certain aspects of being an alpha.”

Ming Huan glanced across the table, “Immature?!”

His brow furrowed in anger, and his face buried in his sweater and blanket making him look doe-eyed. Pissed off, he squinted his eyes.

From this angle, the flat, low hanging eyelashes fell like a fallen leaf and actually looked a little cute.

It was like a little white cat whose tail has been stepped on.

Suddenly his ears flattened and he showed his teeth.

“Ooh, you’re so good, you’re the best alpha in the world, so how come you don’t have a husband?!”

My jaw dropped, Ming Huan, you might want to rethink your actions 😭😭

Also bro Shu Yun, you do have a fiance! What are you bothering Xie Shuci for?

Poor MH being misunderstood; he is immature, but then he’s young, so that shouldn’t be surprising.
I do wish he’d stuck up for XS more though.
SY making his jealousy far too apparent.
YH should really have admonished SY the most; he is supposedly the senior and engaged, so shouldn’t be interfering in MH and XS at all!
Thank you both for the chapter.
