Chapter 27: Ice cream

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Ming Huan’s dumbfounded state was maintained for a long time.

Yu Hanzhou was right about what he said earlier.

Several lieutenant generals had indeed been asking him about the basis of his judgment on the issue of value measurement. If Yu Hanzhou hadn’t given him the psychological build-up in advance today, he would have been confused by those questions again.

However, Ming Huan only addressed the situation on the battlefield.

The rest of the questions were evaded.

A long conference table had Ming Huan sitting at the bottom and Yu Hanzhou sitting at the front.

Yu Hanzhou was sitting at the front of the table, and they were separated by a long distance.

Ming Huan suddenly found that he could not see Yu Hanzhou’s face.

He had differentiated into an omega.

This world had become different from the book.

If, in the original, with the main character’s aura, he could barely fight Yu Hanzhou in the long struggle later, then become an omega after.

“Officer Ming.” Ming Huan, who had already ignored several questions, was suddenly tapped on the shoulder by the nearest soldier who asked, “Are you not feeling well?”

Although Ming Huan could not see, he could feel a deep gaze coming from the end of the conference table.

“No, no.” Ming Huan’s back was a little stiff and his short term memory recalled the content of the question just now. He did not know why he was suddenly a little nervous, “At that time, it is true that after making a judgment, I immediately choose to carry out the leap operation.”

“You mean, within seven seconds, you completed the throw and leap operation, and before that, you only spent three minutes to blow up the warplane overhead?”

“Officer Ming, your operation skills are indeed very good, but we still want to know what is your reason for decisively taking the abandoned pole operation, judging that these energy stones are worth more than the warplane.”

With a slight regard for Yu Hanzhou’s face, their inquiry for MIng Huan wasn’t too heated.

Even his tone was not very loud.

Ming Huan did not know why, but his face looked very bad.

“It’s one for leapfrog energy. If the Federation does not fight for the right to open the mining star, it will regret it later.” Ming Huan still chose to evade the issue.

The meeting continued with arguments, but Yu Hanzhou never took a position.

The meeting that lasted three hours seemed to make the young omega, who used an inhibitor and put on an isolation patch, feel tired.

It was only until the end when seventy eight percent of everything that happened in the eighteenth district was said that Yu Hanzhou finally said, “Today ends here.”

“But, some things have not been asked clearly….”

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes gently swept to the side and said, “The Pierce is authorized to him. The boy has the right to make any judgment and decision on the warplane. Lieutenant General Ford, he is here to participate in this meeting as a military school student, not your officer.”

“If the planet’s energy is identified as successful, then this will be recorded in this cadet’s file as a war merit.”

“Admiral. You cannot take sides because he is your adopted son -“

The rumor that this child was Yu Hanzhou’s illegitimate son had already been discussed by many people in private. Since Yu Hanzhou adopted him, almost all the training resources that could be mobilized were posted to him.

The mecha course, weapon practice, and even a leapfrog fighter were all given to him – but he blew it up as soon as he turned his head.

The leapfrog fighter had many intermediate commanders who wanted to drive the advanced fighter once.

‘How many people waited a hundred years for a chance to fly it once?’

Ming Huan had just passed the Junior commander exam, and he was so eccentric that he couldn’t wait to train him and let him learn how to do it.

This was the second “Federation Admiral” to be pulled out of the military department.

Yu Hanzhou’s finger bones evenly stopped, and his fingers placed the ink-black electronic pen that he had been holding in his hand. “If that’s really just an ordinary mining star, why would the Empire assign a special energy starship and a chase type warplane to wait there?”

Lieutenant General Ford retorted, “Of course it was to set a trap for the guys to compete for the mining star mining rights.”

“So, Lieutenant General Ford knows how much energy it would take to start up the m27 starship and pilot it from the nearest Imperial starport in Sector 16 to the vicinity of the Black Star in Sector 18? And how much more if you subtract the three to four leap operations that must be expended by the capture fighter ZL547? That mining star is not very large. If it is ordinary energy, this operation alone, at least half of the mining star energy must be consumed. What is the point of fighting for such a mining right?”

Yu Hanzhou’s fingertips tapped on the table.

Thud, thud.

It was similar to the frequency of his hard leather boots on the ground.

Ming Huan felt that the sound of the black pen hitting the table was dull.

Yu Hanzhou, who had never taken a stand, was now clearly defending his shortcomings.

“The worst case scenario is that they miss the leap energy again due to the time of losing a leap fighter. Lieutenant General Ford, this Colonel is here today to improve our advantage in the military court negotiations, not to discuss who is responsible for the blowing up of the Pierce. The lieutenant general has the right to continue to ask questions, but you continue to ask the wrong questions and waste time in the meeting. So much so that tomorrow the military tribunals guys will lose because of unequal information. The lieutenant general will be held indirectly liable for the loss of the case.”

He thus ended the meeting for everyone to leave.

Yu Hanzhou took off his long uniform jacket and sent Ming Huan to the spacious starship at the military headquarters, asking, “Are you afraid?”

Ming Huan shook his head.

“Angry?”

He still shook his head.

Yu Hanzhou seemed to unload a clear and cold aura as he sat in front of Ming Huan, and very naturally fetched a cup of hot water that he handed it to him, “Then why do you look so bad? Are you feeling a little tired?”

Huffing once, he threw a small bubble candy into the water cup.

The sweet and nourishing aroma gurgled out.

Ming Huan held the glass of bubbly water and drank most of it, licking his lips.

Yu Hanzhou patted the spot beside him, “Come here.”

Ming Huan moved to his side with half a glass of sparkling water, and Yu Hanzhou put the military jacket that he had just taken off on Ming Huan’s shoulders.

“If you’re tired, just lean back and take a nap.” He paused and smiled, “If you’re not tired, we’ll go somewhere else.”

“Where?”

“Then you’re not tired.” Yu Hanzhou flicked a few piloting controls and the starship quickly sailed to a starport not far from Capital Star.

Then, he switched to a small craft.

Ming Huan sat in the co-pilot seat, and Yu Hanzhou took him to a very small artificial planet. After paying a fee, the two drove the small craft in and Yu Hanzhou, with one hand on the manual lever, said, “Here is the nearest flowering planet to Capital Star that has been paid for. You can see which ones you like, we’ll dig them out and bring them back together.”

The small craft flew close to the ground in the distance of a finger and swept up the fan that was moving the blooming flowers, swaying with their fragrance.

The transparent isolation shield overhead opened.

The head-on wind came mixed with the fragrance of countless flowers and plants.

Yu Hanzhou controlled the warplane, almost to the lowest pressure, but did not touch the flowers and plants.

Ming Huan leaned half of his body over the war flying machine, and reached a hand out to touch the clusters of blooming flowers of all kinds.

‘Ah….’

‘Too beautiful.’

The little dragon was obviously dazzled.

With his body planted forward, Yu Hanzhou grabbed his waist to hold him still.

At this point, Ming Huan’s tail was stretched out to consciously wrap around Yu Hanzhou’s arm, fearing that he would fall into the field of flowers.

“This one is a forget-me-not.”

He did his homework.

Whether they were a human or a dragon, omegas would love these beautiful and bright flowers.

Yu Hanzhou observed Ming Huan’s eyes, and saw that he obviously liked warm tones and the kind that radiated fluorescence.

‘That’s true.’

‘The only things that he liked were the expensive ones.’

Ming Huan’s eyes seemed to have been completely focused as if he couldn’t wait to jump. Yu Hanzhou parked the aircraft after and wrapped his tail around his arm. He forgot to let go of the little dragon holding the aircraft, as he stepped into the fluorescent flowers.

“You be careful!” Ming Huan watched Yu Hanzhou’s foot that trampled several plants, and felt heartache, “Come back and wait. I’ll dig.”

“For you to trample them….”

THe little dragon grunted, and his long uniform was stained with a few petals.

He grinned, and his complexion swept away the pallor from the conference table just now, gradually revealing a rosy look.

In his hand, he was holding a clay ball that grew into a light orange flower. The heavy petals of the flower gave off a fluorescent flash. The light reflected in Ming Huan’s light brown pupils, fluttering and flashing.

“We’ll buy this, okay?” Yu Hanzhou stretched out his hand.

The little dragon very solemnly handed over the flower.

It took two hands to dig out the small ball flowers, but Yu Hanzhou could only use one hand.

Ming Huan dug out a blue one.

A few steps away, the flowers in the next field were the type whose petals would shrink up like a mimosa when touched by hand. He had seen this kind in Xie Shuci’s house and thought it was so beautiful at that time!

Ming Huan took a small shovel and used a hand to wipe his face which left dirt on the tip of his nose.

Squatting down, he carefully used the shovel to dig.

Both hands were holding the flower, and he could only use his small tail to carefully poke a petal.

Unfortunately, he was not very good at controlling the tract of the tail and accidentally knocked off two petals. The little dragon flattened his mouth, and looked at Yu Hanzhou with some difficulty.

“It’s okay, it will grow back after a while.”

Ming Huan felt guilty that the two petals were poked off by him and put it into his pocket.

The little dragon was digging and suddenly thought of something so he grabbed the small shovel and asked, “Yu Hanzhou–“

“Hm?”

“Today’s evening court, you don’t need to go?”

Yu Hanzhou shook his head, “No.”

“Why?”

“We’ll win.”

The little dragon held the flowers and approached one step at a time.

Yu Hanzhou said, “You knew when you blew up the warplane that we would win.”

This statement could be described as praise.

Yu Hanzhou had never praised him like this before.

Ming Huan was obviously a little happy.

The tip of his small tail bent slightly around, swaying and hanging from the left to the right to keep his body balanced. He took the last handful of flowers out of his pocket and placed them in Yu Hanzhou’s palm.

The flight home was tainted with the fragrance of elegant flowers, and Ming Huan’s mood was obviously very good.

Yu Hanzhou said without changing his expression, “Ming Huan, I called the school for a half month’s leave for you. In the next few days, you will rest at home.”

The tone was mild and unmistakable.

“There are three ice creams left in the freezer. You can’t eat them on an empty stomach. What other flavors do you want to eat, I can buy you more.”

Ming Huan sat in the flying machine while holding his favorite flower in his arms, and he had fallen asleep. His small tail was still hooked around the remote control stick, maintaining the posture as Yu Hanzhou’s auxiliary pilot. However, his head was already tilted to one side, leaning on Yu Hanzhou’s shoulder.

His face was dusty and smudged in several places.

Yu Hanzhou freed his hand to wipe off a bit of mud from his nose and cheeks, and his fingers felt delicate and slightly cool to the touch.

The sleeping Ming Huan looked very good.

He also arched into his hand.

Yu Hanzhou’s hand moved over his tail tip when holding the operating lever. After a few pushes and pulls, Ming Huan still did not wake up, but the tail loosened around the lever and wrapped warmly around his wrist instead.

Ming Huan’s inhibitor slowly began to reduce in effectiveness.

There was an elegant floral fragrance mixed with a little pheromone smell.

Yu Hanzhou, with one hand, was trying to hold Ming Huan, but the result was a careless tug as Ming Huan woke up.

Now his tail seemed to be grabbed, and the little dragon was half-asleep as he jumped up.

“Let go–“

The words did not fall, when he looked into a pair of dark eyes.

Yu Hanzhou’s tone was a little hoarse, “Ming Huan, take another inhibitor.”

It would be good if YH has felt a bit feeling towards MH when he thought he was an alpha. Now it seems like he only started to be affected only because of pheromones.
