Chapter 34: Billion

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Mimosa

‘My leg is slightly bumped, and I still have to call you first before I can go apply medicine?’

‘Is it reasonable?’

‘No Sister Li.’

Ming Huan felt that ever since he started his differentiation period, the Yu Hanzhou from before and the one from after were too different.

He was speechless around Yu Hanzhou.

Lately, he sometimes couldn’t guess what Yu Hanzhou was thinking in the end.

“Also. If I say something that makes you uncomfortable, you have to tell me too.” Yu Hanzhou put him on the soft bed, and a piece of the ginkgo leaves floated down on his hands. He fetched the medicine box while half squatting on the side of the bed. His hand held his ankle, and his hand applied ointment evenly to the red spot where he was bumped. “Don’t be as foolish as you were last time and bear it again to the point of differentiation….”

‘Oh!’

Ming Huan slapped his head.

‘Yu Hanzhou still remembers that last time!’

He thought that his scolding in the study room last time was what made him break down and differentiate in advance.

No, it was because he didn’t buy that planet, so he differentiated early!

‘The degree of anger in the study, you have to multiply that two or three times.’

‘To be able to differentiate then, I would have long been differentiated!’

Ming Huan suddenly understood that some of his own things, he did not expect anything else.

He felt guilty enough to try to make up for it.

Ming Huan breathed in deeply through his mouth.

“Yu Hanzhou, I–“

His words were extraordinarily solemn, which drew a deep gaze from the admiral, “Mn, go ahead and speak.”

He decided that he should listen carefully.

Ming Huan stammered instead.

After seeing the other party’s dark eyes, quiet and introverted that seemed to dig into him and cause his emotions to fluctuate, he bit his lip with his small tiger teeth, “You do not have to feel sorry.”

In fact, Yu Hanzhou’s judgment was not wrong as the main character was an alpha!

Since he transmigrated into a book, he accidentally differentiated into an omega as he affected the body.

This was not Yu Hanzhou’s fault.

“It’s my fault that I differentiated into an omega.”

“No, it’s not your fault.”

“Actually, I didn’t ask you to make up for anything. If you want to raise me because of guilt, you don’t have to….. You just need to feed me during the period of differentiation, and you don’t have to want me after my differentiation, I can live on my own….”

The hand holding his ankle seemed to gently pinch, and Ming Huan hissed.

He perceived Yu Hanzhou let go of his hand, and the whole person abruptly stood straight with  a taut jaw.

The hallway lights were bright, but the room was relatively dark.

Ming Huan had not been able to see his face, but felt a hazy pressure began to permeate around.

“You live by yourself? How will you live by yourself?” Yu Hanzhou’s voice was low, and his hand was squeezing his ankle. Ming Huan shrugged his shoulders and fell backwards with his hand on the bed as he tried to pull his foot out.

Yu Hanzhou did not let go of his hand.

He then put the snow-white slippers on again.

“You are less than three years after you broke your shell, and I picked you up.” Yu Hanzhou said that in a way that was not just three years ago, but as if in memory of a long time ago. With teary eyes, he said, “You have not gone to live elsewhere, how do you know, the outside world is not as you think.”

I read the book.

Ming Huan knew that he was powerful after completely differentiation.

Although he had become an omega, he should not be too physically different from an alpha. His mental energy was still there, so he could still live independently. He also did not ask to live a rich life, he just wanted to live peacefully on a remote planet day after day, year after year. He wanted tpo enjoy freedom…. ‘What is the reason for this?’

Yu Hanzhou could perceive that the mental energy of the young dragon in front of him began to have ups and downs again.

His eyes were also gray.

He seemed to be unhappy.

In Yu Hanzhou’s eyes, he had just differentiated into an omega.

Surprisingly, even the ability to live independently became a ‘no’, and he had turned into a complete little waste! He didn’t want it to be like that.

“Yu Hanzhou.” Ming Huan sighed and his feet shrank to the bed. Yu Hanzhou’s shadow was under his knees as he was sitting in the mass of soft bedding.

He sullenly said, “Even though I have the SSS-level mental energy, I differentiated into an omega. and you also spent so much money – in fact, it was all for nothing.”

Ming Huan thought of the post that he saw on the internet – how much they were looking forward to the appearance of an alpha with SSS-level mental energy.

If they knew he was an omega, just like in his previous life, everyone would be disappointed.

‘–An omega?’

‘–Too bad.’

‘I already don’t want to go through it again….’

Ming Huan inevitably buried his head in his knees, and the back of his feet were slightly curled up.

“If I were an alpha, no one would be disappointed.”

Yu Hanzhou’s breath choked slightly.

The little young dragon didn’t seem to know how rare his existence was.

At the moment, he was still in distress over his lack of differentiation into an alpha He was hugging his knees tightly, and his pretty eyes were blinking repeatedly. They were turning a little red, and he looked aggrieved.

He felt the bed around him sink slightly. Yu Hanzhou was sitting next to him, and he heard the voice close at hand with soft breaths, “No. The fact that you were able to differentiate into an omega–“

This was a piece of news that was enough to shake all the dragons throughout the Federation.

Money, time, and even more resources.

In front of an SSS-level mental energy omega hatchling that was about to differentiate, time and money were nothing.

Being a waste didn’t need to be mentioned.

“Ming Huan, no one will be disappointed.” Yu Hanzhou pulled the quilt and lifted the corner before he put the little dragon into it and covered him carefully, “including me.”

Ming Huan obviously did not believe it.

“Do you know how many dragon alphas can not match any omega?”

Ming Huan started to turn his back on him but heard the sentence so he turned his head around and asked, “What do you mean?”

“In the dragon race, the number of omegas are too scarce.” Yu Hanzhou smoothed the hair in front of his forehead and objectively explained. He did know what to think as there seemed to be a hidden worry in his eyes, “…. Moreover, the more powerful the mental energy of the high-level dragons, the higher the probability of differentiation into an alpha. So, an omega with strong mental energy is the rarest of them all.”

Ming Huan’s eyes widened, “What is the use of being rare? Omegas can not even be a commander and can only be like jewelry, like diamonds. Even though they are valuable, they are only ornamental-“

“Omegas are not ornamental jewels.” Yu Hanzhou said, “Are you holding a grudge because your teacher advised you to give up being a commander in class today?”

“We will give priority to the prospective omega career aspirations to a more stable environment when we first take the initiation class, not only because they are suitable, but because young omega dragons must be heavily protected. It does not mean that omegas are incompetent.”

Ming Huan’s eyes slithered around, “But, I want to be a commander.”

Yu Hanzhou smiled, “Then become a commander.”

Ming Huan didn’t expect an answer to come quickly, as if it was so easy that it didn’t need to be considered.

“I don’t want to be protected.”

“I’ll protect you.”

Ming Huan was stunned. Dumbfounded, he looked at Yu Hanzhou.

“What, you think that since you differentiated into an omega, you lost your Junior commander status?” Yu Hanzhou looked at the small young dragon lying nicely in the soft nest, “Since you differentiated at the hospital, I did not tell you, but you can choose.”

“But, Shu senior and today’s teacher both told me – If an omega wants to be a commander, it will be very, very hard…. I…,” Ming Huan’s voice was thin, “It’s not like I want to work too hard….”

Yu Hanzhou appeared to understand what he meant and sat down beside him so that the restless little dragon could lean on him.

Ming Huan also does not know why, after being close to Yu Hanzhou, it really seemed that there was no reason to be scared.

Yu Hanzhou’s body always had a strong smell of isolation patches.

There was also the smell of special effects inhibitors.

Ming Huan had not smelled his pheromone for a long time.

“Not that hard. Because, you are a white feathered dragon.”

Yu Hanzhou’s finger rubbed the end of Ming Huan’s eyes, wiping that wetness dry, “But it will be harder from now on.”

“Come on, if you were an alpha, second lieutenant, lieutenant, captain, major general, lieutenant general…. I’ll let you move up as fast as you can. Since you accidentally differentiated into an omega, the probability of differentiation is one in a million….”

Yu Hanzhou seemed to be pondering in his heart, and finally only ended up saying, “Now for you, the most important thing is the next twenty or so days while you differentiate. You must first replenish enough nutrients to successfully complete the differentiation, and we will discuss everything else later.”

The light under Yu Hanzhou’s eyes gradually converged and returned to a soft gentleness.

“Then, can I continue being a commander?”

“If you want to, you can.”

Ming Huan’s beautiful eyes gradually glowed brightly, and he sat up with a huff. The warmth in the blanket was scattered by several kicks of his, “Really?!”

His cheeks were a little red from excitement, and he grabbed Yu Hanzhou’s arm tightly.

Ming Huan rarely made intimate gestures towards him.

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes were smiling, and after much time together, he finally got the little dragon’s positive feedback on this day. His heart was full of joy, and he became extremely satisfied.

“You’re so happy.” Yu Hanzhou gathered him into his arms, “then when I asked you last time, why did you say you didn’t want to be a commander?”

Ming Huan pursed his lips with some embarrassment.

He stroked the corner of Ming Huan’s forehead, “Ming Huan, you’re sleepy, right?”

Yu Hanzhou gave him the aromatherapy lamp and dimmed the interior lights.

“Let’s not talk about this now. Your quality of sleep is important, so sleep first.”

Yu Hanzhou dropped a soft kiss on the young dragon’s brow and said with rare solemnity, “When you differentiate in another twenty or so days, our [foster system] will be completely lifted. After your differentiation is complete, I will discuss things like the commander’s phase with you as an omega and alpha.”

Ming Huan stared at him, “Why then? I want to hear more.”

Yu Hanzhou stretched out his hand and put his cool palm over Ming Huan’s eyes, “If you keep listening, you won’t be able to sleep. Some things are too complicated, and I will continue to tell you about the confidential things when you smoothly pass the period of differentiation.”

Ming Huan’s knees itched, and he was starting to feel sleepy. His hands were nestled in the bedding, and he kept scratching subconsciously.

Yu Hanzhou was sitting next to him on the small desk.

The tall figure and the slightly short table did not match.

Yu Hanzhou lowered the visibility of the light screen and saw the young dragon moving around through the light screen, “Where are you itchy?”

“…. Knees, and elbows.” Ming Huan was still half asleep while muttering.

Yu Hanzhou reached into the blanket to pull his hand out, and he found that his elbow had been scratched by him until it was red. He went to get the medicine box to get a cool emollient for him to rub on.

Looking at the end of the trouser leg, he smiled and said, “You are growing, so some parts of your  skin will be extra itchy.”

In fact, alphas grow fast, and can leap seven to eight centimeters in less than ten days. However, alphas do not have the problem of itchy skin, because they are not like omegas who have delicate skin and flesh.

In fact, there have long been multiple details about Ming Huan being an omega.

Only he did not find out then.

Ming Huan was particularly happy today as he slept in a ball in the bedding. He was half-asleep, and the tip of the small tail came out happily under the top of the bedding.

Yu Hanzhou told him today that it was good to differentiate into an omega.

He also told him that he could continue to be the commander as long as he wanted.

Ming Huan felt as if his dreams were going to turn sweet.

Yu Hanzhou went downstairs to the storage room to get some special effects body lotion that had just arrived this morning.

The young dragon grew in bursts and will leap in a few months before he may calm down for a few months and then leap again.

Young omegas and betas leaped in a rush, so it would be easy for some skin to be red and itchy.

He dug and evenly applied the cream to Ming Huan’s wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles. There was still one left…. near the tailbone.

Yu Hanzhou held the moisturizer and hesitated as he said to Ming Huan, “Do you want me to rub it on you, or do you want to rub it on yourself?”

Ming Huan still doesn’t know what it was but was oddly comfortable, his body also does not itch, he was already sleepy and dazed, “You rub it…”

Yu Hanzhou turned Ming Huan over and was hooking his pants to drag them downward. Before he could drag it far, he saw that there were already a few red scratches at the tailbone. His hand had just touched it when Ming Huan woke up with a swish, “What are you doing?!”

“I need to rub it on the body, or your growing body will be more itchy. The tail vertebrae needs some since your tail is connected to that place.” Yu Hanzhou coughed lightly and made his voice seem as calm as possible, “I’ll rub it for you, also….”

Ming Huan took the body lotion, “I’ll rub it myself!”

His hand went to the left side of his back, and he rubbed it unevenly as he was rubbing and trying to scratch.

Yu Hanzhou grabbed his hand and simply picked him up to let him sit on his knees. The admiral hugged him and said, “Give me it back, your nails have just been cut, and each scratch will break the skin. If I hold you like this, I can not see, it’s okay.”

Yu Hanzhou’s voice was clear.

Ming Huan was held in his arms while being face to face. His face was buried in his shoulder, and with some embarrassment, the tips of his ears were burning red.

The tailbone was very delicate. In this slight straddling position on someone else, it also seemed too intimate.

Ming Huan’s cheeks were inexplicably hot.

After discovering that Yu Hanzhou behaved naturally, the hands clasped around his waist were also loose without the semi-stiff awareness. It seemed to be no different from just wiping his elbows and knees.

Yu Hanzhou’s awkward feeling also dispersed.

“Thank you.” The embarrassment disappeared, and Ming Huan even thanked him.

After the application, the body indeed was not that itchy. Ming Huan laid in Yu Hanzhou’s arms, waiting for the cream to absorb into the skin. He soon began to get sleepy again as he circled his arms around Yu Hanzhou’s back.

The hand that applied it seemed to pause, and his breathing was chaotic, but he quickly finished applying the rest of it to the spot.

He held him steady and gently tucked him in.

The small dragon, who was curled up in the blanket, slept very well.

Yu Hanzhou intended to leave when the little dragon took his tail to hook it around his wrist. He thought that Ming Huan had fallen asleep and did not expect that he was actually awake.

“Yu Hanzhou.” Ming Huan ambled down on the bed, only to turn his little head away. “Why are you so nice to me?”

Yu Hanzhou was dumbfounded. ‘Is it called ‘being nice to you’? You probably don’t know how other alphas treat their own omegas.’

“Ming Huan, I can treat you better, do you want to be with me….”

Ming Huan’s tail tip rubbed down Yu Hanzhou’s wrist, wherever the tail touched was an action tantamount to an obvious gesture of affection.

Yu Hanzhou choked on his words and suddenly felt that his hand, which had just been rubbed with ointment, had become somewhat hot.

At that moment, the small tail tip rubbed against the tiger’s mouth.

He was acting like a spoiled child.

‘Ming Huan, he-’

‘Wanted to be spoiled.’

Yu Hanzhou softened his voice, “You….”

“Yu Hanzhou….”

Ming Huan’s head was mostly buried in the bedding, and his voice seemed to become soft as if it came out through the fluffy cotton wool.

He has never spoken to himself in a nasal voice.

Since he had just hugged him and rubbed cream on him, it seemed that the two people were closer to each other. When Yu Hanzhou touched Ming Huan’s cheek and rubbed his forehead, he would shyly blush and then rub his face into his hand.

Yu Hanzhou couldn’t help but reach out his hand.

Ming Huan pulled down the quilt with a ‘swish’, and both eyes were full of tangled thoughts, “Can you–“

“Lend me money, ah.”

Yu Hanzhou’s hand stopped at the top of Ming Huan’s head, and his fingers slowly tightened.

He let out a light cough.

“Ahem, how much do you want?”

“One million star coins.” Ming Huan nervously grabbed the blanket as he asked to borrow money for the first time, “Can I, not have more….”

“Not much.” Yu Hanzhou dumbfounded, “I’ll open an account for you….”

“I have, I have.” Ming Huan directly gave him his storage account.

Yu Hanzhou suddenly asked, “How can you open an account by yourself with interstellar universal? Have you been saving money?”

Ming Huan didn’t expect to be asked a rhetorical question after giving him his account number. He felt self-conscious and was afraid that Yu Hanzhou would think that he had been cheating on him, so he quickly said, “I’m just saving a little money. -“

Yu Hanzhou almost instantly associated this with the photo of Ming Huan on that forum post.

Ensign Lin and he said that the interstellar anonymous auction live screenshot, the kind of auction every hundreds of thousands of sessions.

That time Ming Huan also wanted to buy something.

‘One million.’

‘What could he buy? It seemed that nothing can be bought.’

Yu Hanzhou pondered, before saying, “Okay, I know.”

In no time, a vibration came from the terminal.

Ming Huan secretly waited for Yu Hanzhou’s million. Suddenly he found his account, a 10, a 100, a 1000….

‘What?’

‘Typing, typing wrong!’

‘Why in his account?!’

Yu Hanzhou had just come out of the shower and saw Ming Huan rushing into his room. He was panting sharply while holding the door frame and stammering, “Wrong number, more, press two more zeros! You give me a billion, a billion, ah!”

Yu Hanzhou wiped the water from his hair and silently put on his robe, “No, I didn’t make a mistake. I thought about it, three years, but I have not given you pocket money. If you want to buy something, go ahead and buy it.”

The sound of him drying his hair outside the bathroom came and it blew Yu Hanzhou’s hair messily, “There, buy what you want. I am not interfering with you, I do not want people to lie to you.”

“Who, who will cheat me, ah?”

Ming Huan was suddenly self-conscious with the billion. He worked hard to save nine million for three years. Yu Hanzhou waved his hand to give him a billion.

‘Why?’

It’s too strange.

The sound of the drying stopped.

Yu Hanzhou reached out and tied the waistband of his robe before he walked up to Ming Huan. As he had just showered, his body had the cold smell of an alpha detergent, and usually look different, “You are young, the mind is quick to guess. With no caution.”

“It’s easy to lie to you.”

‘Take me for what! I am not that easy to cheat!’

The happiness of just borrowing the money dropped by 50%, and Ming Huan muttered, “You are afraid that I will be cheated, then do not give me that much money–“

He found his face with a bad expression again, and Yu Hanzhou reached out to rub the young dragon’s hair, ” Not afraid of you being cheated of money, afraid of you being cheated, and then becoming upset.”

  1. Alpha dragons have it tough, with Omegas being scarce and those with high mental energy levels being rarer still, so I hope MH realises how different YH’s attitude is.
YH seems to trust his abilities and respects him/his personality, after having raised him as an Alpha so far. That says a lot.
MH needs time to adjust and mature, which I think YH gets. He’s patient. I really like both characters, so 🤞🤞
    Thanks for the chapter.

  2. Did his mental revert back to child phase after he’s reincarnation? He seems to understand less of being an omega’s too even though he previously being one…I’m worried.. thankfully, Yu Hanzhou is there..sigh
