Chapter 46: Clue

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Mimosa

Ming Huan jolted and shook his head. Yu Hanzhou was now in the doorway, striding towards him together with other officers.

The momentum was overwhelming.

The little dragon stood up with a whoop, and knocked the wine on the table down.

He didn’t dare to run, so he stood in place and stomped around in a circle before he rushed to meet Yu Hanzhou, “I, I thought the school was a bar…. Oh no, I thought the bar was in the school…. How, how did I get outside….”

He scratched his head with a little ingratiating grin on his red cheeks. The last time he saw him was in the bar.

The last time Yu Hanzhou look like this was when he was driving an undetected mecha leap, and he then got hugged and beaten up a few times, Ming Huan learned his lesson and took Yu Hanzhou’s hand, changing the subject first, “Give me a check first, can’t, hiccup, can’t let an omega pay the bill…. “

Yu Hanzhou has been responding to his requests lately.

As expected, after he first raised this sentence, Yu Hanzhou seemed to have something to say and then held back. Finally, he said with a cold face, “Come here.”

The lights in the bar were dim, so they only saw Ming Huan suddenly stand up and walk towards a tall man in the dark.

Ming Huan was about as tall as his eyebrows, blocking his entire face, and those little dragons couldn’t see the tall man’s face.

Only from the shadow, they saw a tall and firm man.

‘An alpha?’

Ming Huan moved slightly back, “Today, here, I go to pay the bill, buy two hundred thousand more, we will slowly drink, drink happily!”

The money in his pocket was not much, but he was generous enough. Ming Huan already was good with excellent grades and a cheerful personality. He was a gentleman, especially for the young omegas who he had always taken care of.

There were many of his friends here, and Yu Hanzhou took care of him. He rarely went out for fun in the past three years.

He held the staggering Ming Huan and raised his eyes to glance at the young omega sitting on the periphery with a bracelet that sent a worried face to this side, “If he’s had too much to drink it, I can send him back.”

“No need. There is no reason for an omega to send me, just have fun drinking.”

He held Yu Hanzhou’s hand firmly in his hand and dragged it to the front desk to settle the bill. He then pulled the man who could not walk steadily all the way out of the darkly lit bar.

Ming Huan stepped onto the starship and left. The Xie family’s enclosed craft landed in front of the bar.

Xie Shuci also carried the cold alcoholic smell, as if he had just rushed in from somewhere with the news.

He went in and scanned around for the person he was looking for. He was about to ask, when he heard the omega student next to him shaking his glass teasingly, “Who are you looking for?”

“Who else can I look for, I’m sure I’m looking for Officer Ming.”

Xie Shuci used to have a good relationship with Ming Huan, and he liked to stick to him. In school, several high-level dragons were known.

He immediately asked, “He is really here, where is he?”

“Just left, with a man. They have been quarrelsome recently, but left together.”

The young omega had his hand on his jaw, looking thoughtfully with a glass of ice, “Xie Shuci, this bracelet, he gave it to me.”

Xie Shuci’s eyes suddenly shrank, and his gaze was fixed on the wrist of the young omega.

in the next second, the white bracelet on the slender wrist of the young omega, who was still showing off with his words, immediately emitted a puff of blue smoke and blew up directly. Xie Shuci used his mental energy to violently dismantle it directly.

“Xie Shuci!” The young omega’s family was also good, and he also had someone in the Military Department’s senior position so he had long been accustomed to Xie Shuci relying on his mental energy at SS-level to stick to Ming Huan.

He angrily said “pay for it!”

In recent months, he was more dramatic – it seemed to be from four or five months ago to the beginning of the adult period.

Since Ming Huan finished his mandatory school classes early in the year, he rarely appeared at school this year.

Wherever he appeared, Xie Shuci also appeared.

They were together at Shu Yun’s last bachelorhood party too.

He was super sticky, which meant that the match was high.

“Excuse me.” Xie Shuci’s jawline was taut, and his eyes were not half apologetic, “My mental energy is a little out of control. The money will be compensated.”

“Don’t make a scene.” A beta said from next to the two omegas to prevent the fight between the two, and he rushed up the young omega, “He should still be in his growth period, the mental energy is easily unstable, must not be intentional. Besides, the Xie family just took that rare mining star’s open rights, he may be engaged to Ming in the future, fighting with him now to do what, they’re a pair….”

The young omega got up, aggrieved, and covered the wrist that had the broken bracelet.

‘However…. Was Xie Shuci always this tall?’

He felt that there was something strange.

“Where can they be a pair?! If they’re is a pair, Officer Ming should come here to get him. What’s the use of being pretty, what’s the use of having money at home? Just now, he left with another man, I, if they are a pair….”

Clatter.

The glass bottles on the table suddenly fell down in unison, and Xie Shuci’s face was gloomy. His hand propped up on the table and he drew closer. His clean eyebrows had an indescribable chill, “Say it again.”

“I, I….” The young omega was scared, and his eyes were suddenly red. He timidly hid behind the beta, “I am telling the truth, ah.”

“There was a man he walked out with, a pretty tall one. Omegas aren’t that tall….” The young omega also only had a general impression, “Seems like Shu Yun is quite tall, there were others in the square who chatted with him for a long time while just drinking. His engagement mate should be Shu Yun, that’s why I said, it’s not possible….”

‘Shu Yun.’

He recently started meeting Ming Huan frequently.

Xie Shuci’s fingers closed and clenched into a fist.

Ming Huan had been refusing to meet him since the last time they met in the heavy rain at the cafe.

Last time, Admiral Yu Hanzhou also said Ming Huan had a conflict with the Empire. He was thinking that Ming Huan must have been too busy recently, and after passing the Junior commander exam, he might be on one mission after another. he could not see Ming Huan.

‘Why could Shu Yun? Did he also call Shu Yun out happily like that and invite him to eat ice cream? Or, take him on a tour of his beautiful sightseeing stars in his flying machine?’

‘Shu Yun was already engaged to be married, so why did he still like to stick to Ming Huan from time to time?’

‘Ming Huan…’

He would rather Shu Yun get closer to him than to choose him as his mutual match. He had already mentioned how many times he liked him so why did Ming Huan repeatedly reject him?

He would rather go to Shu Yun, who was already engaged, to meet one-on-one.

He also refused to come out to see him again.

The feeling of almost having his mate slip away from his hand clenched his heart and made him become overwhelmed with anxiety.

The bottle on the wine table steeply exploded into pieces.

Xie Shuci left the bar with a cold face.

***

In the starship.

The little dragon was honest this time.

He was honest to an excess, like a little rabbit pretending to be a good boy.

“Didn’t we agree to meet me in the VIP room at six o’clock?”

“Huh, is it six o’clock?” The little dragon looked at the time, “Oh, it’s really six o’clock, I came out at four o’clock, I did not know that time passed this fast….”

‘I can’t believe I drank for two whole hours.’

‘No wonder I’m drunk.’

“Did I say to not go out of school?” Yu Hanzhou eyebrows scrunched on his solemn face.

Lowering his head, he seemed to glance at the terminal while distracted.

The face was even darker.

“Lying to me?”

“I…. I was having fun….”

This time Yu Hanzhou did not shout, and he automatically moved his butt from the opposite side to Yu Hanzhou’s side to sit against him. He rubbed his hot cheeks against Yu Hanzhou’s shoulder, as if trying to find a comfortable position, “Long time since I’ve been out, since the arrival of the staging, no friends to drink with…. Last time I went out, last time…. Shuci made me unhappy.”

Ming Huan’s hot breath sprayed on Yu Hanzhou’s neck, and there was a strong smell of wine, “You’re always in charge of me, I do not want to make you unhappy, and do not want to be unhappy, so I had to say… a well-intentioned lie, hiccup….I have three months left, and I’m graduating.” Ming Huan said, “Some students do not see each other, and do not know when they will meet again… And ah, I only met with an omega and beta to drink together with, I have refused the alphas.”

‘Ming Huan, this child. He said that he listened, and he indeed listened as he was not behind in his academic homework, what to do?’

In some ways, Yu Hanzhou could not understand the little things that came from his stubborn life.

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes were dark, but he turned his head and heard the sound of even breathing coming from his shoulder blades.

In order to be able to lean securely, Ming Huan reached out and firmly circled around Yu Hanzhou’s arm. The dragon was attached to his arm, surprisingly extraordinarily sticky.

On the terminal, Dean Shu sent another message to ask Yu Hanzhou why he did not tell Ming Huan about the match and that he missed the perfect public opportunity by using the school festival.

If Ming Huan was just an ordinary omega dragon, things would not be this complicated. Or rather, it would have been better if he hadn’t mistaken him for an alpha in the beginning. Now it’s just confusion.

Ming Huan yearned for marriage when he was an alpha, but once he became an omega, he didn’t.

This resistance was very strong.

He should tell him the truth directly. The probability was that he would just leave.

If he once again ran to the agricultural planet, and this time directly refused any leap fighter positioning, arriving at the exile area like that would take less than thirty minutes with the ordinary starship speed cruise out of the starport.

That would really be a problem.

The little dragon lying in his arms was like a soft puddle of mud. The new school uniform top was stained with a little wine, and the jacket was spread out and hanging down. The snow-white shirt was tied into his pants along his narrow waist.

A dark leather belt was tied around, slightly leaking a bit of delicate jade skin. He could vaguely see the thin flesh under the line of muscle.

After Ming Huan had differentiated into an omega, his skin texture was extraordinarily delicate.

If he was not able to go out and play, he did not like to wear the school uniform which was not top quality material.

Yu Hanzhou fed him some antidote. Took off the little dragon’s jacket, loosened the cufflinks and untied the tie so that he could be more comfortable.

When removing the scarf, he vaguely smelled the extremely faint smell of pheromone coming from the barrier patch.

It was not his estrus, so it was probably provoked by the alcohol.

A slight wisp of black opium mixed with the taste of white tea came out quietly, and Yu Hanzhou’s hand showed his prominent veins.

He put him down stiffly and left the room with quick steps.

He came back again with the smell of that special effects inhibitor.

He took Ming Huan to the bathroom to wash off, and Ming Huan’s consciousness faded from the  hot water bubble. He barely finished washing when his blood circulation accelerated, and the brain became more dizzy.

He put on a pair of pants and his legs got weak. He held the wall and asked Yu Hanzhou to come in to give him a hand.

Yu Hanzhou directly carried him to dry.

He also fed him a little water, lit the aromatherapy items, and sat on a small chair in his room to guard him like before.

After a long time of tossing and turning, Ming Huan did not want to open his eyes, and he dazedly waited for the upper-half to be baked clean. He was then carried to the soft bed, and his head tilted as he fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, Ming Huan suddenly woke up for some reason.

The pale yellow ginkgo leaves fell one by one in the darkness to the top of the head, hitting his forehead and scattering like fog.

‘Oh, it’s home.’

He rolled over peacefully and snapped into a sharp-edged face.

Startled, he sat up with a start.

‘Yu Hanzhou.’

‘How come he didn’t go back to his room to sleep?’

Ming Huan snapped the smallest desk lamp on, but now Yu Hanzhou was not awake. He was wearing white clothes and lying on his side against some of his pillow. Yu Hanzhou’s leg was directly out of a section, hanging out of the bed from the ankle.

‘No, Yu Hanzhou used to sleep shallowly.’

Ming Huan vaguely felt that something was wrong as his face seemed extra pale, as if he had drunk too much wine and was now the one with a hangover headache instead of himself.

His throat was a little dry and thirsty.

Ming Huan thought that he seemed to be tired from being sick.

Yu Hanzhou never seemed to be sick.

He felt no fever, so he turned off the desk lamp. He gently got out of bed and went downstairs to pour a glass of water to drink. After drinking it, he hesitated and decided not to wake Yu Hanzhou.

Since Yu Hanzhou slept in his room, he went to sleep with Yu Hanzhou.

He directly invaded the house control system, and Ming Huan easily opened the door of Yu Hanzhou’s bedroom.

Only, the bedroom was filled with a strong familiar smell.

Ming Huan followed the smell, and found two broken inhibitors on the bathroom sink.

Inside it was empty.

It seemed to have been hit in a panic and then accidentally knocked on the sink before it broke.

Ming Huan came close to smell, and diffused in Yu Hanzhou was the smell of the strong inhibitor.

This special effect inhibitor’s packaging was different from the generic inhibitor. The outer packaging was red, as a reminder not to easily use it. Usually there was no match for mental energy and an exceptionally strong alpha had to be prepared, but generally only in the susceptible period could they not control themselves.

This inhibitor has serious backlash against mental power.

So he was just that sleepy, because his mental energy was damaged.

Ming Huan remembered that he had a small riot of mental energy on the agricultural planet that time, and he was also sleepy to the point that his eyes could not open. Laying on the coarse hemp rope hanging net, he could also sleep.

He had just advanced his susceptibility period a month ago, and the alpha susceptibility period is at least three months apart.

‘Yu Hanzhou, in the middle of the night, used this for what?’

Ming Huan did not want to bother the more professional Shu Yun in the middle of the night, and this kind of problem could be understood from a search for a professional forum on Dragons.

Thus, he lay down on Yu Hanzhou’s bed and opened the forum directly in the forum area for dragons and made a post.

[Please help, for an alpha under the following circumstances, in the non-susceptible period, they used two special effects inhibitors before bedtime?].

Ming Huan originally thought that he would have to wait until the second morning to encounter a reply post.

He didn’t realize that there were quite a few dragons who stayed up in the middle of the night.

[Thanks for the invitation, isn’t the brain sick?]

[Upstairs, do you envy other young omegas who post at midnight because they care about their alpha?]

[This is such a crooked floor. I ask first, sister, you have not stolen an accounts from the forum area, right? Only dragons can post here.]

They seem to have mistakenly thought that he was Yu Hanzhou’s match. this should not affect the answer, so Ming Huan did not dwell on this issue.

Ming Huan: [I just differentiated.]

[Oh, just differentiated. That’s probably not in time to take the adulting course. If it’s a non-susceptible period, then it must be that they are too high of a match.]

[The pheromone has too much impact on him, saying that he has to push the special effects inhibitor, that phase is not more exaggerated, alas the high degree of a match is hard.]

[Upstairs, too bitter to let me come, I also want to eat the bitterness of too high a match].

A word I said, all of a sudden the floor became crooked.

This post was also directly flirted with as a dog food post.

Ming Huan, in the end, just wanted to post that he was not his match to the latest reply.

[Instead of making him use the inhibitor, let him take a bite, ah. S mental energy level and above alphas using special effect inhibitors have a backlash and this causes extreme pain. It’s just that he didn’t have time to talk about it, and he didn’t have time to take it to a course yet. But I still suspect that it is not a differentiated young omega borrowing the matching mate’s account, so more than not to say, go ask the matching mate yourself].

[Disperse it. disperse it. It is eighty percent likely that that is another undifferentiated omega young dragon that wants to peek into the world. The head young omega match rate isn’t high, but always picked up without points.]

‘How to be crooked like this?’

Ming Huan carefully read all the replies.

The main point was to say that their match rate was too high, not to say anything else.

‘How was it possible?’

Yu Hanzhou, an alpha with no omega match of more than 10% in 400 years, could not happen to have a high match with him.

Although it was true that he accidentally differentiated into an omega, he had already done a pre-match test and he matched with someone else. Yu Hanzhou personally helped him intercept the matching results that were automatically sent to the other party….

‘Notification…. Letter….’

Ming Huan took another look at the inhibitor, and his heart suddenly pounded violently. An extreme uneasiness instantly spread upward from his heart, causing his throat to become even more thirsty.

‘Wait, wait a minute.’

‘How come he hadn’t received a notification letter?’

If he had automatically carried out the match prediction, and was even able to get the information from the super high degree of the match to make a soothing agent and smoothly pass the final score after estrus, then when the match was made, Yu Hanzhou should only stop the message to the alpha.

‘Why him too?’

The information was also intercepted.

‘– Could have known who the match was and thus made the appropriate soother?’

‘– but he didn’t know, and therefore, couldn’t act out the ‘engagement right’.’

Ming Huan opened the terminal and repeatedly confirmed that no one from the identification section had given him any match-related messages in the last month.

Ming Huan’s mind suddenly turned around a bit.

The dizziness of the hangover and the confusion of his thoughts were intertwined, making him confused for a while. He rubbed the bridge of his nose as his head flickered with pain.

He was able to get through the final differentiation because he had gotten the matching soothing agent.

This meant that Yu Hanzhou must have given him a match prediction.

He knew who his match was, and then, he intercepted the notification letter given to both directions, so the omega and alpha didn’t know who the other was in this match.

‘Or was it-’

He only intercepted the notification letter to the omega because the alpha that he himself matched up with as an omega was Yu Hanzhou.

Ming Huan once again picked up the scent of the inhibitor on the sink to carefully identify, this was indeed the entire installment, and was the smell that Yu Hanzhou, either light or heavy, always carried.

‘–How about marriage?’

‘–Ming Huan, this three-year engagement is not that terrible, it’s just living with that person for three years.’

Ming Huan went to the bedroom outside, and his eyes were a little red. The hangover caused his lips that were pale to become bitten to a crimson color.

”There is something that you want, you can tell the admiral, and he will buy it.”

”Why must Yu Hanzhou meet my heart’s desire?”

‘So, that’s how it was.’

Ming Huan walked out of Yu Hanzhou’s room, and used mental energy to restore Yu Hanzhou’s bedroom door opening privileges to the primitive stage, like a knot that had been torn apart after being tediously knotted. He panicked and was incomparably meticulous to tie it again.

The doorway was open like a child who had opened Pandora’s Box by mistake.

He did not know what to do.

I get MH’s confusion and shock, I just hope he is mature enough to understand YH’s reasoning. After all, MH’s openess with YH about his feelings on engagement and marriage, didn’t really make honesty an option at that point. Especially coupled with his delicate mental state at & after differentiation. Be nice, MH.
I get the feeling XS is going to be more of a problem. Still something weird & I still think he might be an Alpha now.
Thanks for translating and editing.
