Chapter 15: Fraud

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Karai

When he was in school, he had a good relationship with the son of a shareholder from C-Platform. All he needed to do was make a phone call, and forget about checking user login information—this matter could be resolved right away.

Objectively speaking, this method was the simplest, but it was far from simple for him.

The reason he left the Li family and started a completely new life was because he didn’t want to be tied to the past, including all the people and things.

Once he contacted this old classmate, he would be breaking his own rule.

The abnormal account’s IP address was still displayed on the computer screen, and Li Sinian stared at the screen for a while. Unable to figure out how to resolve the issue, he sighed, gave up on the computer, and laid down on the bed holding a pillow.

After getting in bed, he checked his phone. His C-Platform account had already been banned, and all his videos were taken down.

Since his videos couldn’t be opened anymore, the public vented their dissatisfaction through other channels.

For example, the comment section of Piggy’s videos.

[“Piggy is back at #1, awesome, finally, we don’t have to see that person again.”]

[“I knew there was no way a new blogger could rank so high, turns out he used dirty tricks.”]

[“So dumb back then, the votes were so obviously tampered with, did he think we were all idiots?”]

[“Probably because the event is almost over, and he still didn’t surpass Piggy, so he got anxious.”]

Then there was the comment section of the food blogger ‘Food Master,’ who had been pushed down by Li Sinian.

[“Finally, I won’t see that color-selling blogger on the interactive homepage anymore, my eyes are clean.”]

[“I thought I was the only one who thought this, a food blogger, always showing his collarbone or Adam’s apple, so… emmmm.”]

[“He probably thinks this is sexy, but I just find it effeminate.”]

[“When his votes were higher than Food Master’s, I thought something was fishy, and now it’s clear.”]

Li Sinian had indeed posted videos for three months and gained some followers, and there were a few people speaking up for him.

Unfortunately, his few fans were hardly enough to be heard in the flood of insults.

Moreover, the abnormal data was real, and anyone who used facts to argue could easily silence his supporters.

Li Sinian hadn’t figured out how to resolve the situation, but to avoid upsetting his supporters, he decided to take a stance.

He created a small account called “Small Account That’s Still Here Every Year” and posted a simple update: “No vote manipulation, the data anomaly was caused by someone else’s actions. I’m currently gathering evidence. Please, don’t worry.”

This post reassured his fans but only enraged more people. Those who had already doubted Li Sinian became even more vocal, and the comments below were filled with insults.

[“Laughable, your data was manipulated by someone else, so someone framed you? This is the first time I’ve heard of such a thing. If you really were framed, how could you get banned?”]

[“Why would anyone frame you? Are you saying someone would spend their own money just to manipulate votes for you? And if they weren’t caught, you’d be the one benefiting?”]

[“Laughable, framed? You’ve probably watched too many palace dramas. And who would even want to frame you? PigPig or Food Master? Those two have been around on C-Platform for years, do you really think they’d bother to frame you?”]

There were a few fans defending Li Sinian, but their voices were drowned out by the flood of insults.

In fact, because so many people were insulting him, the post’s likes and comments reached the threshold to trend on the site’s hot search list, with the hashtag #SmallAccountFramedByVoteManipulation# trending.

While Li Sinian was being relentlessly criticized, by coincidence, Piggy also posted an update.

[“Been working overtime, just opened C-Platform, and was stunned. Somehow I’m back at #1 and there’s one less competitor? But I do understand that some full-time bloggers get overly anxious about their video data and may make irrational decisions. Hope they can correct this. There’s nothing wrong with growing your own veggies, don’t just focus on the internet, keep going!”]

The post included three pictures: a laptop, scattered papers on a desk, and a towering office building.

This post was quite pointed, not only mocking Li Sinian for being a full-time blogger who only knew how to grow vegetables but also promoting herself.

She was the white-collar worker busy in the high-rise, working so hard that it was only now she found out about Li Sinian’s vote manipulation ban. The “frame” mentioned in her post had nothing to do with her.

As expected, the comments on her post mocked Li Sinian.

Either they ridiculed his claim of being framed as a joke or mocked him for not having a job and being a farmer who only knew how to grow vegetables.

Li Sinian’s video had previously featured him picking vegetables in front of his house. What had once been a leisurely rural life now became evidence of him being uneducated and unemployed.

Compared to Piggy, Li Sinian was truly “Buddha-like” and didn’t care much about what happened on C-Platform.

He couldn’t figure out a way to resolve the issue, so he didn’t stress himself over it and went to bed after washing up.

The next morning, he woke up, instinctively checked his phone, and saw that Piggy had posted something indirectly mocking his video.

For some reason, reading the post made him want to laugh.

The attitude of Administrator 005—who just copied and pasted and avoided responsibility—still made him angry, but this Piggy post just made him laugh.

This superior, high-and-mighty air… Is being a corporate drone really something to boast about?

Still unable to figure out how to resolve the issue, Li Sinian decided not to stress himself out and went to have breakfast.

Just after finishing, he received a phone call.

He looked at the phone and, coincidentally, it was Bai Yusheng, his former classmate and the son of a shareholder at C-Platform.
