“Body temperature 37℃, blood pressure 118/75, heart rate 65,” Zhou Yan said as he jotted down a series of data on his record book, not caring that the subject he was recording was looking increasingly out of place.
After he finished, he looked at Luo Futu lying on the bed and concluded, “There is nothing unusual about you except for a little fever… I should say that you are very healthy and have a good constitution. The blood report shows that your white blood cells are higher than normal, I gave you antibiotics, and the inflammation should disappear soon.”
In fact, Luo Futu’s health should be considered very good—only after one night, his arm was fully mobile, much better than last night when he could only move it slightly. Maybe there was no need for his own treatment, just eat and sleep, he would be back to normal in a few days.
Luo Futu was initially resistant to having his blood drawn, as if he was an old-fashioned person, staring at his blood, fingernails and hair, but after Zhou Yan explained that only one drop of blood would be taken for the sample and promised him to do it in front of him, Luo Futu finally reluctantly agreed.
After Zhou Yan finished writing the record, he closed the book and said, “However, there is no clear conclusion as to why you can’t move until now.”
This was very frustrating for Zhou Yan. Although he had now conducted a relatively comprehensive physical examination of Luo Futu, he couldn’t even find any clues… If he had been in Dense Cloud Planet, he would have been put into the medical bay directly, and there would have been no need for such trouble. But Zhou Yan couldn’t lie, he had to tell the patient the truth about his health condition.
Luo Futu, however, was not very concerned about his physical condition. He looked at Zhou Yan and lowered his eyes to sweep his naked upper body with a smiling expression. “So this is what it takes to cooperate with your treatment.”
Zhou Yan expressionlessly replied, “Do not say as if I did something outrageous to you. Our initial agreement is that I treat your disease, during which you have to cooperate with me, in other words, I can do whatever I want to you.”
“Do whatever you want… Good point.” Luo Futu stared at him oddly. “Haven’t you thought about the consequences of treating an alpha like that?”
He was indeed an alpha, Zhou Yan had already seen that, but that was irrelevant to his own long-time use of inhibitors. Zhou Yan raised his eyebrows high; his expression carried a bit of provocation. “So what, what else can you do in this state now?”
Luo Futu was stabbed and looked a little upset. Zhou Yan ignored him again and put away the record book in his hand. “Don’t be in a hurry to pull up the quilt.”
The tears of time were really puzzling. Alphas and omegas did it and watched others in the streets but did not feel shy, but during an examination of the body, they felt shy. Let alone just taking off the upper half of the robe.
The instruments Zhou Yan could make under such conditions were very rough, and wearing clothes would produce many factors that would affect the accuracy of the data.
Luo Futu propped himself up on the bed and moved himself to a higher position, leaning against the head of the bed. “Want to continue?”
“Next I will help you to do an ultrasound. This is mainly to check whether the internal organs are damaged. The fire on your body did not burn the skin, but falling from such a high place, it may hurt the internal organs.”
He hadn’t figured out until now what was wrong with him and why he couldn’t move, so there was no way to prescribe the right medicine.
Luo Futu didn’t show any pain, so it didn’t look like he had hurt his bones or internal organs.
Zhou Yan was actually a little discouraged. He had so much advanced science and technology in his hands, but he couldn’t even find the cause of this guy’s illness, which was too disgraceful. He, a vain scientist, wanted to prove to Luo Futu that science was much more useful than the mystics he talked about, and that it could save lives. But by now, he realized that what he was doing was just proving in reverse that science was indeed of little use.
Luo Futu watched as Zhou Yan sat down next to him and rubbed some cold, lubricating paste onto his stomach, very curious. “What is this again?”
“Coupling agent, used for lubrication.”
“Oh…lubrication.”
“…” He repeated it—how did it feel so strange?
“With this small mirror, you can see the internal organs?”
Zhou Yan was in a very unattractive mood and suddenly got up and pressed Luo Futu downward. “Lie flat.” He held the probe and slowly rolled it over Luo Futu’s stomach, while the other hand pointed to the monitor. “This is the image of the inside of your abdominal cavity as projected by ultrasound and light waves, which is reflected on the screen, so you can see… It’s a pity that conditions are limited now, otherwise you could see it more clearly.”
Luo Futu stared at the screen for half a day and suddenly said in surprise, “Oh? What’s moving?”
“…It’s your stomach squirming.”
Luo Futu showed an expression of interest. “Interesting.”
“…” His face was already ugly, and he looked especially like a pervert when he made such an expression.
Zhou Yan pressed his hand a little harder on his stomach. “Do you feel any pain?”
“Yes.”
Zhou Yan was a little surprised. “Where does it hurt?”
The pain was not a good signal, but for doctors, pain was much better than no feeling, pain in Zhou Yan’s view was not a mere torture, but a signal emitted by the human body after the problem, to remind the brain: I have a problem, come and help me.
Since he felt the pain, it means that the cause of the disease was not far away, which was a ray of light in the current situation.
Luo Futu stared at him and said, “Go down a little.”
Zhou Yan frowned in confusion and slid the probe in his hand against his stomach. “Here?”
“Further down.”
“…Here?”
Luo Futu nodded slightly, but the surprised expression on Zhou Yan’s face disappeared instantly. “Are you sure?”
Luo Futu smiled a little frighteningly. “Yes.”
“This is the bladder.”
“…”
“You just want to go to the toilet, right?”
Luo Futu stopped talking and just looked at him and laughed; Zhou Yan thought he was playing with himself.
This pervert!
“Do you still want to be cured or not?”
Luo Futu smiled and took his hand, gently pulled it away, then used the towel prepared by Zhou Yan to wipe off the coupling agent on his stomach, repositioned himself on the bed and moved upwards. “Of course I want to cure the disease, but the medicine you prescribed is not right, doctor, it’s useless. Instead of fighting with this little mirror, you should send me to the toilet first.”
Luo Futu realized this a long time ago. In fact, from the beginning he didn’t have much hope for Zhou Yan: some of the terms Zhou Yan said made him curious, but just as Zhou Yan couldn’t understand what he said about yong and mystics, he couldn’t understand what the antibiotics and ultrasound he was talking about were. They seemed to be from two worlds, and Luo Futu just wanted to explore the mystery in the man before him.
“Hurry up, or I’ll have to pee in your bed.”
“…”
The latter then put his arm on Zhou Yan’s shoulder and was reluctantly dragged towards the toilet by him. Luo Futu simply changed to hold his waist, the other hand was holding the wall to move forward.
“It’s so thin, it’s going to break if you touch it a little.”
I don’t know if it’s because he doesn’t have the strength in his hands, or on purpose, but the hand seems to be sliding down against his waist.
Zhou Yan’s face blackened. He grabbed Luo Futu’s hand, and pulled back his shoulder.
Luo Futu looked at him with a smile and patted Zhou Yan’s shoulder. “It’s just as slender here.”
“…”
Luo Futu’s words exactly stepped on Zhou Yan’s sore spot: yes, it was the problem of body shape. His current body, he did not know what kind of mutation caused it, had turned into an omega—that he could grow like this had already broken the physical limit. It was impossible to become as strong as before, and now actually a stranger disliked that he was thin! He didn’t think he was ugly yet!
The ugly bastard was still chattering: “Do you not eat properly?”
Zhou Yan was so annoyed by him. “Cut the crap! Hold yourself up against the wall!”
Zhou Yan put his back against Luo Futu’s back and pushed him hard so that he wouldn’t fall down, and so that he wouldn’t accidentally fall on something that would make him blind when he was conveniently walking. Caring for a paralyzed patient took a lot of effort, and since Zhou Yan had never done it himself before, it was easy to overlook common sense when it came to certain things.
For example, when holding a man to the toilet, it was not that he couldn’t feel it if he couldn’t see: he could still hear the sound.
…
Zhou Yan closed his eyes and tried to keep his attention from going over there—he couldn’t be so unprofessional. Don’t treat him like a person, treat him like a patient!
At this point, Luo Futu casually chatted with him. “Do you want to know the cure for me? I can tell you.”
Zhou Yan originally did not want to answer at such a time, but the question he asked happened to be about the point he was most concerned about. Zhou Yan was silent for two seconds and asked, “Did you know from the beginning how you could be cured?”
Luo Futu had always been so confident that he hardly ever cared about his own body. An ordinary patient who suddenly became immobile would have acted more panicked.
But he never did.
If he knew the way to heal from the beginning, why did he need to make any agreement with himself, just offer him the exchange terms directly? Seeing him racking his brain and trying all sorts of methods on him, but ultimately unable to do anything, was he secretly looking at him like he was a joke?
Luo Futu tilted his head sideways, as if he wanted to look back at Zhou Yan, but the two of them were now standing back-to-back, so he couldn’t see him at all. “At first I was really curious about how you would treat me, after all, you have a lot of interesting things here, but after seeing your methods, I think that they won’t work very well.” Luo Futu finished and added, “Antibiotics would be quite useful.”
After a long time, Zhou Yan’s voice came softly from behind him. “Only one day has passed, I still have many things to try.”
Luo Futu smiled. “If it was all this way, I think the effect would be the same.”
“…” Zhou Yan did not say anything more, helped Luo Futu back from the bedroom, put him on the bed, and then slowly packed up the ultrasound machine by himself.
Luo Futu stared at Zhou Yan’s back for a while, and when he saw that he kept silent, he said, “What’s wrong with you?”
Zhou Yan pursed his lips tightly and didn’t want to talk to him: he was struck by Luo Futu’s words. Any doctor who was disappointed by his patient would be hit, let alone Zhou Yan, who was so proud and so sure of the science he trusted, that he would be hit even harder.
“You look so lost, is it…because your treatment didn’t work on me?”
The man seemed to be able to emit a dark Qi visible to the naked eye, and small dark clouds were growing out of his head. He had lost into this look, and was simply pretending to be blind.
Zhou Yan did not want to let himself drown in such emotions, he took a deep breath, adjusted his mood and sat down opposite Luo Futu, “Say, what is the effective way?”
Luo Futu smiled. “I did not expect you to have such a side, I thought you were really cold and heartless, do not care about anything, just pretend to be. But I’m the one who can’t be cured, so why do you feel sorry for me?”
Such a contrast was kind of cute…
“You’re so full of crap.” Zhou Yan did not want to continue this topic, let alone discuss his current mood. He directly interrupted Luo Futu’s words, expressionlessly asking, “What is the effective solution?”
Luo Futu raised his jaw. “No need to blame yourself. Although I can’t see what the use of your instruments is, I can probably guess that your treatment is only for the physical body. They may be effective for ordinary people with ordinary diseases, but I injured my spiritual body and normal medical treatment is ineffective. Because the direction is wrong, no matter how hard you try, it’s useless.”
This was a comforting sentence, but if Zhou Yan knew how Luo Futu was normally, he would understand how valuable this sentence was. He was always mocking and abusive to others, hitting people’s self-esteem, and being lectured by him, people may be ruined.
Zhou Yan, however, was thinking about what it meant to hurt a spiritual body. “What do you mean?”
The easy smile on Luo Futu’s face disappeared, and his eyes became cold and icy, much like when they first met.
“The blue flame is called soul fire, and it burns my spirit. I can’t move now, I can’t use my power because my spirit is frozen up by the soul fire. The person who set the fire intended to completely eat my spirit clean, but unfortunately, they didn’t have that ability and just made me hurt.”
If someone had said such nonsense to Zhou Yan in the past, he would have scoffed: what spirit, soul, he definitely did not believe in such nebulous things, people die like lights, the so-called soul was just a virtual self conceived by the brain.
But today, after examining Luo Futu’s body in detail, he found that he was really completely fine; he could not find the cause of the disease… He also considered whether he was like the soldiers he had met before: they had experienced pheromone war, resulting in nerve fiber damage, but nerve fiber damage could not heal by itself, much less get better day by day, like Luo Futu.
Zhou Yan had to start considering the possibility of what Luo Futu said. However, after thinking about it for a long time, he still couldn’t get past himself, “It’s impossible…”
Luo Futu did not forcefully convince him, but only threw out a tempting bait. “Then I want to try, with my method, and see if I can be cured.”
Zhou Yan frowned and asked, “So what exactly is your solution?”
“It’s simple.” Luo Futu raised his hand towards Zhou Yan and gently hooked his finger. “Bring your ear closer.”

ZY seems to inadvertently be giving YF signals 😉 I wonder if YF is suspecting ZY is an Omega.
Let’s hope he isn’t going whisper “dual cultivation”.
It’s unusual for characters who aren’t evil, to be described as this ugly. It makes me wonder if it isn’t a disguise, especially when his voice is so beautiful.
I am also guessing he’s someone very powerful, if others want to get rid of him.
Loving this.
Thank you both for the chapter.
I have already mentioned from the very beginning, that he was in disguise to thwart his enemies, but still got hurt 😞 Ohhh… I feel Luo Futu has sexy designs on ZY😘😉
I think he must be very handsome! Thanks for the chapter!!!
