Chapter 54: Exploit Someone’s Weakness

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: CaiCai

Lu Xingye had never appreciated the beauty of alcohol as much as he did today. Holding the person in his arms, he kissed him repeatedly, his actions not filled with malice but rather warmth and tenderness.

“You’re so cute… darling,” Lu Xingye, taking advantage of the person’s intoxication, began to ramble, letting out a basketful of things he wouldn’t dare to say otherwise, “Do you like me?”

Lyss, already inebriated and enveloped in his pheromones, became even more intoxicated. He blurted out, “Like…”

The underlying logic Lu Jin designed for him became blatantly clear at this moment. He could only respond with his most genuine thoughts. Even when not wanting to answer, due to his drunken state, he couldn’t divert the conversation. He had to answer whatever Lu Xingye asked.

Lu Xingye, taking advantage, embraced his waist and brought him into the water, “What do you like most about me?”

After three seconds of genuine thought, Lyss replied honestly, “I like your personality and your face the most.”

About to kiss him, Lu Xingye abruptly stopped, then incredulously widened his eyes, shocked and somewhat aggrieved, “You only like my face, brother?”

Lyss corrected him seriously and slowly, “Not just your face, I also like your personality.”

“Deceiving,” Lu Xingye buried his grievances in Lyss’ neck, nuzzling against his glands, “If I didn’t look like this… you wouldn’t like me for sure.”

“I’d like you no matter how you look…” Lyss, midway through his sentence, suddenly went limp, then, instinctively trembling, pressed down on Lu Xingye’s shoulder, “Don’t…”

Lu Xingye lightly nibbled on his nape, questioning discontentedly, “Brother doesn’t like me marking you?”

Silent for three seconds, Lyss honestly replied, “…like.”

Gently releasing him, Lu Xingye held his shoulders and looked deeply into his eyes, “Very obedient… then trouble brother and tell me, where do you like me kissing you the most?”

His thick, long eyelashes trembled slightly. Lyss instinctively lowered his gaze, seeming a bit embarrassed. Lu Xingye’s heart raced at the sight. Eventually, Lyss spoke, “Lips… I like it most when you kiss me on the lips.”

Lu Xingye had expected a more intimate answer, such as waist or thighs, considering Lyss’ embarrassment. Yet, Lyss surprisingly mentioned lips. The Chief of Triss, in his heart, found his most preferred thing to be kissing. This overly innocent display sharply contrasted with his usual demeanor, and for a moment, Lu Xingye’s heart skipped a beat.

The steam in the bathroom mixed with the increasingly rich scent of tea, making Lyss dizzy. He was about to close his eyes when, midway through, he was forcefully pulled into someone’s embrace. His chin was lifted, and lips infused with pheromones pried apart his own.

The sound of their lips meeting echoed in the bathroom. At this moment, Lyss seemed more like a contented cat, half-closed eyes leaning against the alpha’s chest, enjoying and permitting.

Unable to resist, Lu Xingye lifted his hand to play with Lyss’ ears, licking the other’s lips, reddened and moistened by the kisses, “Do you like this?”

The intoxicated omega, with half-closed eyes and a nasal tone, murmured, “…mm.”

Lyss seemed like a ripe peach, tempting one to take a bite and taste its juicy sweetness. Lu Xingye wanted to pinch his ears but didn’t dare to apply too much force. Finally, he kissed the lips that had been ravished earlier, “Brother just mentioned liking my personality… What specifically do you like?”

Without hesitation, Lyss replied, “I like your passion, frankness, and your fervent nature.”

Lu Xingye was taken aback, but before he could respond, Lyss encircled his neck and kissed his lips, speaking earnestly, “I like you in any way… but I don’t like it when you keep things from me, don’t trust me, or don’t listen to me… If it happens again, I’ll be angry.”

He spoke slowly but seriously. Though his words seemed a bit disoriented, this matter had apparently been buried in his heart for a long time.

Lu Xingye suddenly felt a surge of panic and immense guilt from within. He didn’t know that Lyss had been keeping these thoughts to himself, never telling him. Even because of the fear of hurting him, Lyss hadn’t shown any signs.

“I’m sorry, brother… I’m really sorry…” Lu Xingye held the person in his arms, somewhat at a loss, apologizing frantically, “I didn’t mean to. I won’t do it again… I’ll listen well from now on, brother, please don’t dislike me, okay?”

In the end, he was practically pleading. Lyss looked at him with lowered eyes. His reactions were dulled by intoxication, but it gave him an inexplicable sense of divinity. He gazed tenderly and calmly at the devotee embracing him, seeking love. After a long time, he slowly asked, “Will you listen in the future?”

“Yes, I’ll definitely listen in the future.” Lu Xingye hurriedly kissed his lips. “However you like me, I’ll be that way. You must love me forever and never abandon me again, brother.”

Lyss seemed quite pleased. Half-closing his eyes, he rubbed the other’s ears. “Hmm… I’ll love you forever.”

Compared to Lyss, Lu Xingye seemed more like the intoxicated one. The intoxicated Lyss couldn’t quite control his pheromones, and the scent of peachy sweetness mixed with alcohol filled the bathroom, making people succumb to the intoxication.

Lu Xingye teased, pinching the tail in his embrace, “For an obedient puppy, brother, shouldn’t there be a reward?”

Lyss’s brain was sluggish. After a while, he asked, “What reward do you want?”

Lu Xingye chuckled lightly, whispered something into his ear, and caught Lyss off guard. Despite being drunk, Lyss blushed at his words and instinctively pushed Lu Xingye away, “No…”

“But you just said you’d love me forever.” Lu Xingye’s eyes looked somewhat aggrieved. “My dear wife…”

For some reason, Lyss’s ears trembled at his words. Although his face showed momentary dullness, Lu Xingye keenly noticed this oddity.

“Do you like it?” He intentionally gave Lyss’s tail a gentle tug and softly said in his ear, “My dear wife?”

As expected, Lyss shivered all over without surprise, biting his lip and giving him a difficult-to-read glance. The atmosphere was charged, nearly melting Lyss’s golden eyes. With his tail held in someone’s hand and warm breath carrying a scent of tea by his ear, even the usual Lyss would find it hard to resist, let alone the intoxicated version of himself.

Before long, he was coaxed into compliance, and things that should and shouldn’t have been said were eventually uttered under persuasion. The combination of the final chip and five years of yearning had truly transformed Lyss into a person, possessing emotions he’d never experienced before and the most basic sense of shame.

These subtle experiences hadn’t changed his original code but were imprinted in his behavior like a mark. It made even the intoxicated him unable to remain indifferent when stared at by the one he loved. The feeling was simply too embarrassing.

The intoxication made him unable to help closing his eyes, trembling as he whispered softly, “Don’t look…”

“No, I want to look.” Lu Xingye persistently pleaded, “Brother, you look so good. If you won’t let me see, do you want someone else to see?”

Lyss was led astray by his words and subconsciously replied, “It’s not for others…”

“Ah, so you only want to show it to me?” Lu Xingye teased, “Then, please continue, brother.”

Blushing intensely, Lyss eventually relented.

As the night grew silent, all the madness drew to a close. The god, worn out by mingling with mortals, closed his eyes, defenselessly leaning into his alpha’s embrace and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Lyss struggled to open his eyes. It was his first experience of a hangover. His brain was foggy, and all he could sense was someone playing with the tip of his tail.

Subconsciously, Lyss turned around, finding the person skillfully embracing him. “Awake?”

Resting in the familiar embrace, Lyss took a while to recall what had happened the day before. alcohol seemed to have too much effect on him. His memories fragmented into pieces, making it hard for him to recollect.

What was fatal was that the few fragments he could recall were all some unspeakable parts, causing his originally relaxed expression to freeze abruptly. This included how he was coaxed into calling the other “brother” and how he obediently did something in front of the other…

Thinking about it, Lyss blushed and immediately stopped the gradually clearing memories.

Lu Xingye keenly sensed the person in his arms tensing up. Instead of feeling nervous, Lu Xingye cheerfully called out, “Brother, do you still remember what you promised me last night?”

This statement was like adding fuel to the fire. Lyss abruptly snapped out of it, glared at him, exerted no force, and abruptly pushed Lu Xingye away to sit up, looking down at him for a moment. Seeing Lu Xingye still being his confident self, Lyss turned around and straddled him, lightly pinching his neck and pressing him against the head of the bed, “This is what you meant by ‘obedient’ last night?”

Lu Xingye raised both hands in a very innocent gesture, “I only did it after getting your approval, so I was very obedient.”

Lyss silently looked at him for a moment. Suddenly, Lu Xingye held his waist and raised his head, firmly planting a kiss on his face. Playfully, he said, “Getting angry is bad for health, brother, don’t be angry.”

Lyss was caught off guard by his affection and nudged the puppy buried in his neck somewhat helplessly, “Get up, it’s time to take Lin Lang for breakfast.”

Having a well-behaved daughter was wonderful in many ways, but it did slightly hinder the intimacy between husband and wife.

The obedient little girl had already tidied herself up, sitting in the living room holding a terminal and reading magazines. She had no idea what her dear father had just said inwardly. Seeing the two coming out, she greeted them with a big smile, “Good morning, Mommy and Daddy!”

Lyss nodded casually, taking his terminal to message headquarters. He casually mentioned to Lu Xingye, “Help Lin Lang brush her hair.”

Lyss made a casual remark, but when he raised his head after finishing the message, he saw Lin Lang looking just like a little princess. He was completely stunned.

“Mommy—” Lin Lang checked herself in the mirror, excitedly exclaiming to Lyss, “Daddy is so amazing!”

Lyss was a bit surprised, “When did you learn all this?”

Lu Xingye had no sense of reservation whatsoever. Upon hearing this, he spoke openly in front of his daughter, “I always thought long hair would suit you. These are all things I learned about to distract myself during the surgery before.”

Lyss never expected the conversation to turn to himself. He somewhat incredulously touched his own hair, “Long hair suits me?”

Lu Xingye confidently affirmed, “Of course.”

The second half of the explanation just didn’t come out, like how he really wanted to see the silver hair cascading down the slightly trembling spine. Not saying it didn’t mean Lyss didn’t know. Confronting Lu Xingye’s increasingly odd gaze, Lyss suddenly understood what was on his mind, and his expression became complicated.

Lin Lang, unaware of the adults’ dirty thoughts, widened her eyes in surprise at the words, “Surgery? Did Dad have surgery before? Was he injured somewhere?”

The two of them suddenly stopped, and Lu Xingye quickly cleared his throat and explained, “I had a minor injury before, but it’s all healed now, nothing to worry about.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Lang couldn’t help but frown, “Surgery must be painful… Be more careful next time and don’t get hurt again.”

Both of them softened, and Lu Xingye promised sincerely, “I promise, baby, I won’t get hurt again in the future.”

Lyss pinched his daughter’s ear, “Remember what your dad said. If he breaks his promise in the future, you can call him uncle.”

Lin Lang blinked and nodded obediently, “Okay.”

Lu Xingye sighed helplessly, “Isn’t this punishment a bit too harsh?”

Lyss gave him a glance, “It’s only effective if it’s harsh.”

“Fine.” Lu Xingye hugged Lyss’s waist and laughed, “I’ll be good from now on.”

With Lin Lang present, Lyss felt a bit embarrassed, raised his hand to push him away, “Hurry up and eat. We have a meeting after breakfast.”

They woke up late, but luckily, the Empire scheduled the meeting for ten in the morning. After having a meal with Lin Lang and dropping the little girl off with Lin Xi, the two of them arrived at the meeting venue just in time.

Since Lyss arrived in the Empire, he had almost been with Lu Xingye every day. Now that the two appeared together again, the others didn’t show much surprise.

When everyone was seated, the main door of the meeting room closed. The Prime Minister of the Empire looked around with a serious expression and suddenly said, “Today, the invitation to all of you was originally to continue discussing the restart of Chudai. Just last night, the Empire’s database was suddenly invaded by an unknown source of information. After our technical personnel tracked and analyzed it, we found that this unidentified source of information is likely conscious—artificial intelligence.”

The room fell silent at these words.

She surveyed the room, her tone cold, “To prevent this confidential meeting from being infiltrated by artificial intelligence, I hope everyone will cooperate in participating in the scrutiny.”

Lu Xingye, seemingly casual, asked, “As far as I know, the most recent discovery of artificial intelligence was the Polivis No. 3 twenty years ago. But even twenty years ago, humans only identified him through his original code. Now, twenty years later, if there is still artificial intelligence in the world, its iterations will only be more, so how does the Prime Minister plan to scrutinize?”

Lu Xingye obviously didn’t know that the Empire would do this, or he wouldn’t have allowed Lyss to come. The Prime Minister, hearing this, surveyed the room, “This is exactly what I want to say. According to our recent research on the backup code of Chudai, we found that artificial intelligence is likely unable to lie. This is determined by their underlying logic. So, because the upcoming discussion is very important, to prevent infiltration by artificial intelligence within our walls, I ask all representatives to cooperate and tell an obvious lie to verify their identity.”

This method was very simple, and the people in the room sighed in relief at her words. Lu Xingye almost imperceptibly frowned, then turned to look at Lyss with his peripheral vision.

“Then, let me start.” Shaya spoke first, “I am a man.”

An obvious lie, she said it without any pause.

The others followed suit, saying something obvious. Finally, it was the turn of the person in front of Lyss. He was an omega minister of the Empire, and he smiled, “My youngest is not my biological child.”

His youngest was his son, a lively alpha like a monkey. The atmosphere, which had been somewhat stagnant, was brought to life by this omega’s words. A minister familiar with him smiled, “This is a chance to speak the truth, we should record this and send it to the youngest.”

Others also showed friendly smiles, but Lyss sat quietly, as he usually didn’t like to smile, and now he didn’t seem to find anything wrong.

Only Lu Xingye couldn’t help but frown. His mind was racing, wondering what to do. If Lyss couldn’t come up with a lie, how could he take him away? As the interlude ended, all eyes in the room focused on Lyss.

Lyss slowly raised his head, looked at Lu Xingye without blinking, and said something that shocked the entire venue, “Lin Lang is Lu Xingye’s daughter.”

With that statement, the entire venue fell into stunned silence.
