Chapter 153: Brother Jin’s Potential Stock

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Karai

“‘Chunibyo’, also known as ‘Second-Year Syndrome’, specifically refers to the collective term for the thoughts, actions, and values unique to adolescents.” Jin Zhe put down his book on adolescent psychology and looked at the thirteen-year-old boy sitting in front of him, his long hair disheveled, clothes tattered, and expression blank, feeling a bit disheartened.

Just two years ago, his beloved younger brother was still a soft and cute little boy. How did he turn into this badass after just one trip out? Time really does fly like a butcher’s knife…

“Hey, you’re not going out like this, are you?” Seeing his brother, whose clothes were in tatters, about to leave, Jin Zhe couldn’t help but stop him. “Where are you going like this?”

“To school.” Jin Xuan, a member of the Beggar Gang’s Six Sacks, replied succinctly.

“…” Jin Zhe covered his chest, trembling, pointing at the torn and patched-up shirt on his brother’s body. “Are you really going to school dressed like this? What about your uniform?”

“This is my uniform.” Jin Xuan shrugged. Jin Zhe only then noticed that the ragged cloth was actually a modified school uniform, with the logo of the elementary school faintly visible in the patches.

“How did you manage to turn your uniform into this? It’s so ragged, it’s disgraceful!” Jin Zhe couldn’t bear it anymore and slapped him on the head. “You’ll get punished by the school if they find out!”

“No, they won’t.” Jin Xuan deftly dodged his grasp and put on the matching suit jacket, cleverly covering all the holes. “Who can see it?”

What a clever move… Jin Zhe was speechless and choked up. This brat had indeed put all his intelligence to use in such matters. But really, why go to school looking so flashy and yet manage to cover it all up!?

“We’re going to be late.” The brat grabbed his bag and headed out, his hair fluttering in the wind. “I’m off to catch the school bus.”

A glint flashed in Jin Zhe’s eyes, sensing something was off. He hurriedly chased after him. “Wait! Come back here! What’s in your mouth? Did you get a tongue piercing? Do you know the school doesn’t allow piercings?” But the adolescent, with his long legs, had already hopped onto the school bus, leaving only a bewitching silhouette.

“You little rascal!” Jin Zhe had just returned yesterday and was already half-dead from frustration today. The NTU’s ace warrior hadn’t fallen to terrorists’ hands, but there were ominous signs in his brother’s hands.

Damn it, children are nothing but trouble!

Grumbling, Jin Zhe returned home and went to inspect his brother’s room. Jin Xuan had obviously anticipated his grand raid and set multiple passwords on the door. It took Jin Zhe nearly half an hour to unlock it.

This brat was really skilled! Having a technically inclined adolescent with Chunibyo at home was giving Jin Zhe a headache. Fortunately, Jin Xuan’s room didn’t seem particularly unusual. The desk was still a desk, the bed was still a bed, but the closet was a bit messy, filled with various pieces of cloth and rags that normal people couldn’t understand, as well as colorful wigs.

Jin Zhe placed a red afro wig on his head and, upon seeing himself in the mirror, felt even more disheartened.

There were some components piled on the workbench, as well as a half-assembled clown robot, obviously unfinished from last night. Jin Zhe picked up the robot and examined it. The workmanship was extremely fine, with the latest chips and high-quality alloys used. Then he finally understood why his military pay always disappeared so quickly, leaving him with no savings for a wife.

There was a stack of manuscript paper on the desk, covered with strange writing that looked like a mix of oracle bone script and Greek. Jin Zhe picked it up and, after reading it for a while, miraculously understood—it was the teachings written by his eccentric brother, who had founded a secret cult at school, using his invented script to instruct his disciples!

Jin Zhe felt not just disheartened but like he was having a myocardial infarction. While he was out fighting various terrorist groups with the NTU special forces, his brother was at home developing a cult…

You little rascal, if you come back, I promise not to kill you!

The book said that Chunibyo was hard to cure and could cause irreversible effects on both body and mind if not careful. Although Jin Zhe was well-versed in psychology, it was mostly aimed at enemies, not adolescents. After thinking for a while, he could only complain to his partner and good friend, Yan Ling, who had a son one year older than Jin Xuan and was going through the same adolescent phase. Perhaps he would have some good ideas.

“Ha! You can laugh all you want!” After hearing his complaints for half a day, Yan Ling chuckled over the communication line. “Come to my house and see for yourself, then you’ll know what real advanced Chunibyo is! Jin Xuan at least knows to hide his symptoms, which shows that he subconsciously knows his behavior isn’t accepted by the public. But my son is openly flamboyant; he wants to go to school every day carrying a cross—have you ever seen Gothic Chunibyo? What’s terrifying is that he thinks he’s normal, and we’re all Muggles blinded by dark magic!”

Jin Zhe felt instantly healed. Compared to his friend’s situation, Jin Xuan didn’t seem too outrageous after all. Then, feeling very ashamed of his schadenfreude, he said, “But we can’t just let it go on like this. The Chunibyo phase can last a long time, and what if it develops into something sinister? Jin Xuan has even founded a cult and invented his own language!”

“…He’s too smart. He’s a technical type of Chunibyo. To be honest, I don’t know what to do either. In our family, this guy just likes to go against adults; he’s a violent type of Chunibyo, so just using force should work.”

“Is there a difference?”

The two parents sighed, discussing whether to find a psychologist for their children, when they suddenly received a message from the NTU headquarters, summoning them for a two-day mission.

“Are they kidding? We haven’t had a break in two years, and now they want to send us out again!” Jin Zhe was furious.

Yan Ling was also full of complaints. “They promised not to disturb our vacation this time. I just brought my son back from boarding school, and now they want to send him back?”

“How about you let him come to my house? He can accompany Jin Xuan.” Jin Zhe suggested with a flash of inspiration. “Hey, maybe if they spend time together, they might trigger some chemical reaction and Jin Xuan’s Chunibyo might just disappear.”

“Oh, right. To fight poison with poison.” Yan Ling agreed. “I think adolescent psychology mentions similar methods. Communicating with peers can help smooth out the Chunibyo phase.”

The two parents quickly reached an agreement.

At noon, Jin Xuan received a call from his brother at the school cafeteria, informing him that guests were coming home. He frowned slightly but agreed nonetheless. “I’ll entertain him.”

Sensing his brother’s displeasure, Jin Zhe reassured him, “Yan Yan is your godbrother’s son. You used to play together when you were little, and you’re about the same age. Plus, you’re both going through the Chunibyo phase. You should get along.”

“I don’t have Chunibyo!” Jin Xuan bristled at being called crazy. “I told you not to read those useless psychology books. I’m perfectly normal and don’t have Chunibyo at all!”

“Okay, okay, you’re not sick, you’re not sick.” Jin Zhe rubbed his head, feeling a headache coming on. “It’s Yan Yan who’s a bit Chunibyo. His behavior might be a bit exaggerated. Since he’s going to school carrying a cross today, your godfather is very troubled… Anyway, I’m counting on you.”

Shouldering the responsibility of rescuing his godfather and curing Chunibyo, Jin Xuan suddenly felt a strong sense of mission, and the flames of Chunibyo burned brightly within him. “Got it!”

After school, Jin Xuan took the school bus home and found that his brother had already left for a mission. At the door, there was a small golden lion lying there, and next to it stood a slightly shorter, slender teenager, wearing a dark green school uniform and adorned with a large string of gothic necklaces, including a cross and a skull, looking as obnoxious as possible.

“Are you Yan Yan? I’m Jin Xuan.” Jin Xuan extended his hand expressionlessly. “Welcome to my house for a temporary stay.”

The goth teenager shook his hand, his gaze sweeping over Jin Xuan’s flowing hair, shimmering tongue piercing, and tattered shirt… He subtly smirked, “Hey, sorry to bother.”

The two little rascals scrutinized each other and simultaneously thought in their hearts: What a Chunibyo!

Even if they looked down on each other in their hearts, they knew they had to try their best to fulfill their brother’s request. Jin Xuan invited Yan Yan inside and asked, “Would you like something to drink?”

“Beer.” Yan Yan clearly had some issues and immediately asked for contraband. Jin Xuan frowned and poured him a glass of milk tea. “The law says you can’t drink alcohol under the age of sixteen. Have some milk tea instead.”

“Then why did you ask?”

“Just being polite.”

“…Fine.”

Ignoring Yan Yan’s sullenness, Jin Xuan handed him the sugar jar. “Add it yourself.”

“Milk tea with sugar, how else do you drink it? Salt?” Yan Yan widened his eyes. “Sweet milk tea is heresy. Salty milk tea is the authentic essence, you know?”

“Salty milk tea should be banished from the culinary world. Only sugar can maximize the aroma of milk and black tea!” Jin Xuan angrily slapped the sugar jar. “Add sugar!”

“Sweet milk tea should be banished from the Dunkirk Federation!” Yan Yan indignantly placed the cup on the coffee table. “I’d rather not drink milk tea at all if there’s no salty milk tea!”

“Suit yourself!”

And so began an unexpected sweet vs. salty battle. For a full three hours, from milk tea to tofu pudding, from tofu pudding to rice dumplings, and then to wife cakes, the two Chunibyos were too preoccupied with their culinary feud to fight over anything else. By the time Yan Yan inadvertently discovered that Jin Xuan’s dream was to attend Aston University’s Strategy Academy, their conflict had escalated to the ideological level.

“You want to go to a military academy? You want to study information strategy?” Yan Yan sneered at Jin Xuan. “Tech geeks like you are beyond redemption. Only you sweeties would consider such trivial and boring subjects as your ideals! I would never waste my precious life on dull information codes and political maneuvering. I aspire to become a philosopher. Philosophy is the highest truth in the universe, understand?”

“Heh.” If it weren’t for the tongue piercing that hurt when he talked too much, Jin Xuan would have definitely retorted with a mouthful—shameless salty fan, liberal arts nerd, this kind of Chunibyo should really be arrested!

Completely forgetting the responsibility his brother had entrusted to him before leaving, Jin Xuan, fueled by a dangerous flame of anger, lost his temper completely when Yan Yan found the thorn rose totem on his body and shamelessly asked for a painting of himself, thus completely burning Jin Xuan’s sanity.

“This is our family crest, passed down by our ancestors with their lives and blood. It is sacred and inviolable, and only family members can have it tattooed on their bodies!” Jin Xuan couldn’t bear it any longer and shoved the damn salty fan into the guest room. “It’s late, go wash up and go to bed early. Staying up late is not good for brain development, and since your brain is like this, don’t take any risks. Good night, goodbye!”

“Hey, don’t be so stingy, I’m just going to paint one temporarily…” Yan Yan wanted to argue with him, but the door had already closed with a “click” in front of him.

“Tch! What’s the big deal?” The gothic teenager scoffed, opened his personal terminal, and called up a photo of his dad and Jin Zhe. In the photo, Jin Zhe was shirtless, with black thorn rose tattoos covering his left chest and left arm, much clearer than what Yan Yan had seen on Jin Xuan’s torn shirt earlier.

“If I’m not allowed to paint, then I’ll paint.” The rebellious and violent Chunibyo, with an extremely rebellious mentality, happily took off his shirt, took out a box of watercolor pens from his bag, and started painting himself with body paint based on the photo.

In another room, the exhausted technical type of Chunibyo heaved a long sigh. His brother wouldn’t be back until tomorrow night. How was he going to spend this day and night? Fortunately, the damn salty fan would be going to school tomorrow!

Feeling frustrated, he completely forgot about the teachings he still had to finish writing tonight and the preaching he had to do with his followers tomorrow. The leader of the cult furrowed his brow, planning to take a shower to wake himself up and thinking about the body paint he had drawn on himself for a week. He decided to remove it with alcohol— the school strictly prohibited students from having tattoos and dyeing their hair, and he had only secretly painted it to show off a bit. After enjoying himself, he had to remove it to avoid punishment.

With everything settled, it was already midnight. Jin Xuan sat shirtless at his desk, inventing his own language and script, gradually immersing himself in the joy of saving sentient beings.

Suddenly, his Barbary lion cub stood up, its left ear twitching, emitting a faint growl. Jin Xuan immediately stopped writing, his eyes widening: Someone was here!

A series of faint footsteps were approaching from above. Although he was still young and his powers had not yet fully awakened, at such a close distance, he could clearly sense that a group of people was approaching along the outer wall of the building. These people must be experts, moving extremely quickly and lightly, with their breath reduced to an extremely weak level. If he hadn’t been awake, he wouldn’t have been able to perceive them at all.

They’re back? Kidnapping, assassination

Jin Xuan’s mind raced as he considered his options. Escaping and calling the police wasn’t feasible; they were likely after him, and if they found out Yan Yan wasn’t him, they might kill him to eliminate witnesses. But what about going to rescue Yan Yan? He was small and unarmed, with only a slim chance of saving him.

Or perhaps he could offer himself in exchange for Yan Yan? No, terrorists weren’t usually so kind; they’d likely kill Yan Yan and then flee with him.

Why did his brother have to saddle him with such a big burden?

In a split second of hesitation, Jin Xuan made a swift decision. He opened his personal terminal and reported the incident through the NTU’s dedicated line, using his consciousness to force his Barbary lion cub to leave the area as far as possible. Then he dashed into the wardrobe and put on a custom-made black robe from the drama club, cinching it with a red ribbon around his waist and letting his waist-length hair fall loosely over his shoulders and back.

As everything was set, the door clicked open, and a burly man stormed in like a gust of wind, grabbing Jin Xuan by the neck and covering his mouth with a rough palm.

“Mmmph
” Jin Xuan struggled briefly, but the man held him firmly. At that moment, he saw a robust jackal sentinel burst into the room, sniffing around, trying to locate his quantum beast.

Thirteen-year-old Jin Xuan’s consciousness cloud stability was far from that of an adult, and his quantum beast’s presence wasn’t as strong as an adult’s. Besides, Jin Xuan had already sent his Barbary lion cub far away. In such a hurry, it would be difficult for the terrorists to discover that he was a young sentinel without a guide.

Indeed, the jackal was fooled and returned to its master’s side, disappointed.

“There’s another person in the room,” the man dragged Jin Xuan into the living room and said to a man who looked like the leader, “It’s a young girl, a civilian.”

Jin Xuan saw Yan Yan lying unconscious on the floor, his pajama collar torn, hanging off his shoulder, revealing the magnificent thorn rose tattoos on his chest and arms. His quantum beast, the little Barbary lion, was held by a robust adult black panther, motionless.

The moment he saw the tattoos, Jin Xuan felt the urge to applaud the liberal arts nerd for the first time: Thanks to the rebellious mentality of his Chunibyo, he had secretly tattooed himself with totems!

Now their lives were probably both saved!

“Maybe there’s a problem with the intelligence,” the man walked over, grabbing Jin Xuan’s long hair to lift his face and take a look. “Hmm, he’s Chinese, quite beautiful, but let’s just kill him. We need to leave as soon as possible.”

“Wait, are we sure we didn’t make a mistake?” The jackal sentinel was a bit puzzled. “Are we sure this kid is the target? Why is he two centimeters shorter than the intelligence said?”

The information of the NTU and its affiliates was classified. Given the danger of their profession, the appearance and characteristics of their family members were classified as Federal Level 2 Confidential. So although Jin Xuan had been kidnapped many times, his detailed image data had never leaked. Of course, kids grow fast, and sometimes, after two or three years, Jin Zhe might not recognize his own brother at first sight.

“It should be correct. He has the exclusive tattoo of the Jin family, and the quantum beast matches, it’s a lion.” The leader lifted Yan Yan’s shirt and examined him closely, then lifted him up horizontally. “Don’t waste time, let’s get to work.”

“Mmmph!” Jin Xuan struggled vigorously. Although he was still a child, he made quite a noise when he gave it his all. The jackal sentinel tried to hold his face, but perhaps his skin was too slippery; he actually slipped out of his grasp.

As soon as his mouth was free, Jin Xuan immediately screamed, “Don’t kill me!”

“Hey! Pay attention!” The leader warned the jackal sentinel, who promptly aimed a ray gun at Jin Xuan’s temple.

In a critical moment, Jin Xuan couldn’t care less about his sore tongue anymore. He quickly said, “I know Jin Zhe’s secret. Don’t kill me, I’ll tell you. I’ll make sure he lives a life worse than death!”

As the sentinel’s finger hovered over the trigger, he glanced at the leader for guidance. The leader furrowed his brow, handed Yan Yan to another subordinate, and approached Jin Xuan, lifting his chin. “Speak!”

Jin Xuan, feeling a surge of relief at his narrow escape, saw Yan Yan, nestled in the arms of the kidnapper, twitch his right eyelid—he was awake.

“I-I-I’m Jin Zhe’s lover!” Jin Xuan blurted out a lie, though he had mentally prepared himself, saying it out loud was still shocking.

“Huh?” The leader didn’t seem convinced. “Who are you trying to fool? Jin Zhe is a loner, isn’t he?”

“Hehe, do you really believe that? He’s a lion sentinel, the strongest species. How could he stay alone forever?” Jin Xuan shivered as he spoke. “I really am his lover. We’ve been together for many years. The reason he hasn’t made our relationship public is that he wants to find a guide after he gets promoted.” He shuddered as he spoke, getting goosebumps. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Yan Yan, who seemed equally shocked, sweat profusely.

“What difference does it make, even if what you say is true?” The leader patted Jin Xuan’s face. “If Jin Zhe isn’t even willing to come out in the open, why would he care about your life or death? What value do you have to me?”

“It’s not that simple!” Jin Xuan unleashed his anti-human imagination to its fullest. “I-I-I’m not a girl, I’m a boy!”

The jackal sentinel paused, having assumed Jin Xuan was a girl due to the circumstances. Now, upon closer inspection, oh, there was a tiny Adam’s apple, and the face, while beautiful, was too angular, and there seemed to be too much strength… Could this adorable kid really be a boy?

“Oh, he’s really a boy.” The leader touched Jin Xuan’s chest, finding it flat as a board, and couldn’t help but smile. “Are you trying to tell me that Jin Zhe is gay? That secret is worthless, little thing.”

“No, no.” Jin Xuan swallowed hard, preparing to drop the bombshell. “He’s, he’s a pervert. He always makes me dress like a girl. For him, I haven’t cut my hair for six years! He even bought me a lot of dresses to wear. There are many in the closet, you won’t believe it until you see it, there are wigs and jewelry too.”

This was getting interesting. The leader squinted his eyes. “Oh, a cross-dresser? The NTU War God actually has such a hobby?” His rough fingers brushed aside Jin Xuan’s loose hair, tracing his forehead, nose, and gently touching his smooth chin. The face was incredibly beautiful, but a bit too angular, and with makeup, it would be hard to tell the gender. With his eyes closed, he could almost understand Jin Zhe’s actions. Such a beauty, who would want to give up?

If this was true, it would be quite a scandal. Once it was exposed, not only would it tarnish Jin Zhe’s reputation, but it might also land him in court and prison. NTU’s prestige would plummet!

What an unexpected surprise!

“Damn!” The jackal sentinel, listening to Jin Xuan’s words, was fired up, and his eyes were getting hard. “I didn’t expect the ‘War God Wild Dog’ to be a pervert! Haha!” He touched Jin Xuan’s cheek. “Baby, you’re worth a lot. Luckily I didn’t blow your head off just now! When we get back to headquarters, remember to tell me everything again. I’ll record it and post it online. Hahaha, the NTU is going to stink to high heaven this time, along with Jin Zhe.”

Having achieved his goal, Jin Xuan obediently put on a quail-like appearance, looking both scared and conflicted. At this moment, the kidnapper holding Yan Yan suddenly exclaimed, “Hey, boss, how much sedative did you inject him with? Why is he coughing up blood?”

Jin Xuan’s lower eyelid twitched. Damn salty-literature-loving, Jin Xuan thought, finally made him cough up blood. Well, you’d better keep pretending to be unconscious, heh heh!

“Uh, maybe he bit his tongue earlier, no big deal,” the leader said, feeling Yan Yan’s pulse. “We’ve stayed too long, it’s too dangerous. Let’s take him and leave.” He then instructed the jackal sentinel, “Take him too. This kid is very useful, probably even more useful than Jin Zhe’s own brother.”

“Yes!” The jackal sentinel pulled out a sedative gun and aimed it at Jin Xuan’s neck vein. “Close your eyes, don’t be afraid, my little beauty. It’s like getting a mosquito bite. You’ll wake up safe and sound.”

Jin Xuan tilted his head slightly to indicate cooperation. His gaze swept over the dark corner behind the sentinel, and suddenly his phoenix eyes narrowed, a cold smile playing at the corner of his mouth.

“Pfft—” Before the jackal sentinel’s finger could pull the trigger, a beam of light accurately pierced his forehead. With a flash of blood, his tall body fell backward with a loud “thud.” In that split second, Jin Xuan ducked and rolled out of his embrace, a sharp whistle from his mouth commanding his Barbary lion, which had quietly approached, to bite the jackal sentinel’s throat! At the same time, the NTU special police descended from above, opening fire with light weapons, sweeping through the scattered terrorists in the living room!

“NTU Special Police! Retreat!” The leader exclaimed in shock, signaling his men to fight back against the police and cover each other in an attempt to escape. In the chaos that ensued, Yan Yan leaped out of his captor’s embrace, grabbed a vase, and smashed it over the kidnapper’s head before turning to run.

Gunshots rang out, sparks flew, and NTU special police and terrorists engaged in a fierce battle in the narrow living room. Two mutually distrustful yet strangely connected individuals with severe chuunibyou moved and dodged amid the gunfire, eventually meeting under a cabinet after a victorious skirmish.

After a brief exchange of glances, Yan Yan extended his thumb. “Well done!” he said. This ability to blacken his own father (or brother) to the core, even after a hundred years of practice, would never be attained.

Jin Xuan didn’t need him to say it to know what he was thinking. He pushed aside his disheveled hair, snorted disdainfully, and thought, The end justifies the means. How could you mere mortals understand?

Just worship me, okay?

After a meticulously planned kidnapping, the dust settled quickly after a fierce and brief firefight. Five of the eight terrorists were dead, and the remaining three were injured, with no one escaping. The cult leader, with his cunning plan, had gained a precious three minutes, allowing him and Yan Yan to escape safely. Of course, Yan Yan’s impulsive decision to draw totems on himself was also instrumental.

Twelve hours later, Jin Zhe and Yan Ling returned from their mission, hearing that two teenagers had teamed up to take down a terrorist group. They were very pleased. As family members of the NTU warriors, being adept at counter-terrorism wasn’t a big deal to them. What was worth celebrating was how the two heavily chuunibyou-afflicted teenagers had cooperated intimately and protected each other in such an emergency.

Using poison against poison was indeed a good method; both the kids’ symptoms seemed to have alleviated!

“Dad is proud of you!” Yan Ling affectionately praised his son, patting his head. “You did great, and Dad will definitely reward you.”

Yan Yan glanced meaningfully at Jin Xuan, shaking his head humbly for the first time in his life. “No, this is all Jin Xuan’s credit. I was knocked out from the start, I didn’t do anything, I didn’t see anything, I didn’t hear anything.”

Yan Ling felt deeply gratified, nearly shedding tears of excitement. Has his gothic chuunibyou son finally recovered? Not having to worry about the kid carrying a cross to school was such a relief!

The naive old warrior sincerely thanked Jin Xuan and took his son home. Meanwhile, Jin Zhe stood in the living room, directing the cleanup of the aftermath, and patted his brother’s shoulder with emotion. “Well done, brother. I didn’t misjudge you. You’ve taken care of Yan Yan very well, and your counseling has been effective. He looks much better now.”

“No need to thank me, it’s what I should do,” Jin Xuan said, not daring to recall what he had said last night. After hesitating for a while, he added, “Brother, I have a request that you must promise me.”

“No problem, go ahead.”

“Don’t interrogate the terrorists yourself. Don’t look at their confessions or the case files. From now on, never, ever focus on this matter.”

“Huh? Why?” Jin Zhe asked, puzzled, looking at his brother suspiciously. “What do you mean?”

“Just promise me. Consider it a reward for me, or the fee for helping you take care of that chuunibyou patient.”

After thinking about it, Jin Zhe nodded. “Okay, I promise you.”

Jin Xuan breathed a sigh of relief, finally relaxing his nerves after a day and night of tension. A warm, faint smile crept onto his lips. “Remember, I’m tired and need to go to bed. I have classes tomorrow.”

“Go ahead, get some rest.”

Jin Xuan hurried back to his room, ready to collapse onto the big bed and sleep. But as soon as his head touched the pillow, he suddenly jumped up with a loud “ah!” He didn’t even bother to put on his pants as he dashed back to the living room.

However, it was too late. When he reached the hallway, he saw his wise and mighty brother had already removed the surveillance head from the chandelier and connected it to his personal terminal, playing back the recording of last night’s “clever battle” with the criminals.

The two brothers stared at each other, one with a face as black as the bottom of a pot, and the other as white as a ghost.

A second later, Jin Xuan screamed and turned to run, while Jin Zhe dropped the camera and chased after him, shouting, “You little brat, come back here! I promise not to kill you!”
