Obedient Wolf with a Sheep’s Nature (Oneshot)

Author: Jingluan

绵羊个性乖乖狼

作者:惊乱

Leiluo was lying on a tree, wondering what in the world was happening. There was this drooling chimpanzee in front of him, and after a standoff for half an hour, it lunged at him. Leiluo tried to dodge, but he couldn’t evade the chimpanzee and ended up straining his waist.

He, the boss of the Western District, ended up being a picnic for a chimpanzee! (When did chimpanzees start eating people?)

Leiluo turned around and growled at the chimpanzee pressing him down, which then stuck out its bright red tongue and licked his face. Was it trying to taste him?

Thinking that maybe he tasted good, Leiluo noticed an excited expression on the chimpanzee’s ugly face!

“Damn it!” Leiluo cursed, trying to kick, but the chimpanzee restrained both his hands and feet.

Frustrated, Leiluo suddenly saw the chimpanzee reach down below, and Leiluo glimpsed at its penis.

Leiluo’s face turned green. Was this darn chimpanzee trying to urinate on him?

The chimpanzee flipped Leiluo over, and Leiluo felt something pressing against his rear! Without thinking, Leiluo, furious, despite his strained waist, turned and landed a punch on the chimpanzee’s face.

As Leiluo held onto the tree branches, he suddenly felt his waist returning to normal when he exerted force. Hanging from the tree and looking down a meter below, Leiluo jumped down, driven by the chimpanzee’s frenzy.

As the chimpanzee howled weirdly from the tree, Leiluo, climbing down, grabbed its tail and flung it with force. Everyone knew the consequence of crossing Leiluo; if not for his ruthlessness, how could he have held onto the position of the Western District boss for so long?

The chimpanzee hit the ground hard, agitated by Leiluo’s move, awakening its wild instincts. It tore and roared at Leiluo, who, with a smirk, slipped his hands into his pockets. He paused, then with a slight upward tilt of his pretty mouth, pulled out a pair of copper buckles and leisurely toyed with them between his fingers.

Standing under the tree, he calmly watched the chimpanzee. His eyes lit up with excitement at the imminent bloodshed. Blood was undoubtedly beautiful for someone accustomed to living on the edge.

Sensing the fire in Leiluo’s eyes, the chimpanzee suddenly screeched sharply and ran off.

Leiluo immediately shouted, “Hey, don’t run, I haven’t even started yet!” as he chased after.

After running for a long while, Leiluo, slightly out of breath, finally stopped. It was getting dark, approaching dusk, and Leiluo surveyed his surroundings. When did he end up in a wild forest? He distinctly remembered being in the bathroom, then a sudden suction from the toilet. Oh, did he fall into the toilet?

Rubbing his sore head, Leiluo cursed several times, trying to calm himself down.

After running for so long, having handled affairs in the area in the morning without eating anything, Leiluo felt that what he needed most right now wasn’t a beauty but food. Of course, having both would be great, but that thought seemed far-fetched.

Slowing his pace, Leiluo thought of searching for food in the forest or finding some game. He regretted not roasting the chimpanzee earlier. Suddenly, two flashes of light appeared before him, and Leiluo immediately chased after them.

Leiluo stood behind a tree, and he was stunned upon seeing the scene before him. In front of him was a small creature, a chubby body wrapped in silver-white fur, with eyes hinting of gold, staring at a little rabbit.

The little wolf fixed its gaze on the white rabbit and menacingly demanded, “Kid! Hand over the carrots!”

The little white rabbit hesitated, then asked uncertainly, “You want carrots, not me?”

The little wolf blinked, asking, “Aren’t carrots tastier than you?”

The little rabbit timidly replied, “I… I don’t know because I’ve never eaten myself!”

The little wolf asked, “Then are carrots tasty?”

The little rabbit nodded, and the little wolf extended its paw, saying, “Then I’ll have carrots, not you!”

The little white rabbit looked weirded out, then dropped the carrots and ran away quickly. The little wolf walked over, took the carrot, sniffed it, then contentedly nibbled on it. Carrots smell so good.

As the little wolf held the carrot, it suddenly floated away. The little wolf looked up only to see someone taking the carrot away.

“That’s mine…” The little wolf tried to grab it.

Leiluo, already annoyed, thought he could have roasted the rabbit for dinner, but this foolish dog let the rabbit go. Seeing the little creature still trying to snatch, Leiluo angrily said, “What’s a little dog doing with carrots!”

The little wolf blinked its eyes, trying to grab it but failing. Its tiny feet curled up into the silver-white fur, disappearing entirely, with its chubby body looking like a furball.

Leiluo chuckled, “Little furball, want some?”

The little wolf looked at him and tilted its head, not understanding what the human was saying.

Leiluo teased it with the carrot, “Help me catch a rabbit, and I’ll give you the carrot!”

When Leiluo dangled the carrot before the little wolf, it immediately bit into it. Leiluo lifted his hand, lifting the little wolf along with it. The little wolf dangled in the air, struggling!

Leiluo found himself amused by this action. His stern face softened a bit due to the laughter. Holding the little wolf’s soft fur, Leiluo said, “Little furball, lead me out of this forest, and the carrot is yours!”

He couldn’t believe he was negotiating with a little dog. But he had encountered this one living creature in the forest. However, watching the little dog running ahead, Leiluo found it strange. How could a little dog like carrots? Unbelievable.

“Hey, little dog…” Leiluo called out. They had been here from dusk to nightfall, yet they were still in the same place. Could this dog be directionless?

The little wolf’s discontent with Leiluo’s calling him led to a response, “I’m a wolf, not a dog!”

Rolling his eyes, Leiluo, watching the little wolf hopping around, oddly understood the dissatisfaction with the term “little dog” and nodded, saying, “Alright then, Little Meatball!”

From a little dog to a little meatball!

The innocent little wolf protested, “I’m not fat at all!”

Not paying attention to the road, the little wolf tripped over a vine across the path. Leiluo only saw a white ball tumbling forward and sighed, sneering, “If not a meatball, then what?!”

Walking over, he picked up the dazed little wolf covered in leaves and debris. “Hey, Little Meatball?” he called several times, but the little wolf didn’t respond. Did he faint? Perfect, it’s been a while since he had dog meat!

Suddenly, the sky cracked, and Leiluo looked up, a drop of liquid on his face. It was raining.

There was a muffled groan in his arms, and the golden eyes slowly opened. Another thunderclap and the little one suddenly snuggled into Leiluo’s embrace, trembling. Leiluo was surprised; the little one was afraid of thunder. Seeing the rain getting heavier, Leiluo thought they should find shelter quickly.

The little one suddenly darted out of his arms and called out to Leiluo before running ahead.

Leiluo thought the little one wanted to lead him to a safe place. He hurried to catch up, but as the little meatball let out a startled cry, Leiluo blinked and lost sight of it. Puzzled, he found himself falling through the ground…

Leiluo hadn’t reacted yet, still feeling no pain from the fall. A rumbling sound came from below him, startling Leiluo. He stood up, feeling flattened, someone heavy on top.

Shaking the body beside him, Leiluo asked, “Hey, Little Meatball, are you okay?”

Under his vigorous shaking, the little wolf finally woke up.

“Little Meatball?” Leiluo looked at his lifeless eyes and shook him again.

The short forelimbs of the little wolf pushed him away. With another shake, he felt dizzy even though he hadn’t been before.

Leiluo knocked his head hard, “Idiot, why didn’t you mention the pit earlier?”

The little wolf looked at him innocently, blinking his watery eyes. Even though he couldn’t understand what Leiluo was saying, he could tell Leiluo was furious. Leiluo cursed angrily, and the innocent white creature before him looked back.

Someone shouted from above, “Hey, who are you guys?”

Suddenly, Leiluo felt his body lifted, then heavily dropped to the ground. The little meatball ran to him, saying something to the others.

“We’re not bad people!” the little wolf replied.

Leiluo looked at the group of people before him, feeling something strange. Then it struck him; these people had ears, real ears, furry and erect. He blinked; he hadn’t been mistaken. The people in white gestured toward Leiluo, and suddenly, he found himself unable to move. The little meatball stood before him, its white fur fluffed up like a cat when threatened!

Was this little one protecting himself? Leiluo was surprised, then reached out and stroked the little meatball’s back.

The little wolf looked up, staring at Leiluo strangely.

Leiluo naturally understood that these people posed no threat, at least not now. But the little meatball’s behavior warmed Leiluo’s heart.

They had only met a few hours ago. Living on the edge, Leiluo had never felt this way before.

The two were brought in front of an old man. Leiluo noticed this old man didn’t have ears like the others, identical to Leiluo’s own.

Surprised, the old man glanced at Leiluo and spoke, “Human?”

Leiluo asked coldly, “Who are you?”

The old man furrowed his brow, probably not understanding Leiluo. Suddenly, Leiluo felt a pain in his forehead and found a red mark on his hand. Damn, this old man dared to attack him!

“Old man, don’t you want to live?” Leiluo burst out furiously.

The old man spoke slowly, “No human has entered here for hundreds of years!”

Leiluo was shocked; he could understand what the old man was saying.

The old man looked to the side and exclaimed, “So you’re from the Wolf King tribe!”

The little wolf nodded, “Sir, sorry, we didn’t mean to intrude!”

Leiluo couldn’t help but ask, “Little Meatball, can you talk?”

The little wolf grumbled, “I could always talk. I can understand what you’re saying now; I’m so happy!”

Leiluo rolled his eyes; he wasn’t happy at all. What was this place? The people here looked very strange. And he could understand a talking dog. This world had gone crazy.

“Old man, I don’t have time for this place. I’m not interested in where this is. I just want to go back!”

The old man chuckled, squinted at Leiluo, and nodded, “Initially, I didn’t understand why humans appeared here. I see now! You’re the savior of this world. To return, you must wait for the world to restore its balance!”

Leiluo was baffled, “I don’t care about your balance. If you know how to get back, old man, speak up quickly. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude!”

The old man waved his hand, and Leiluo, who had rushed forward, suddenly felt unable to move.

The old man said, “Bring the emissary downstairs for rest!”

Leiluo was completely helpless, being led away. The little meatball was left behind. Although the windows were open, it felt like an electric shock whenever he touched them. Leiluo kicked the table hard, frustrated. It made him feel like he was being suppressed, incredibly uncomfortable.

But he didn’t want to be here. He couldn’t understand what the old man said. He wasn’t some kind of savior. After all the struggles, all he got was bruises, and he couldn’t even leave the room. Just when Leiluo was extremely frustrated, a white light flashed outside the door, and suddenly, a person appeared.

“Are you trying to leave?” The newcomer was dressed in a long robe, ears twitching, eyes clear as water.

Leiluo leaned against the table, asking cautiously, “Who are you?”

The person said, “I’m the little wolf,” making Leiluo frown. He added, “Little Meatball!”

Leiluo’s eyes widened. Being freed from the confinement of the room, he still couldn’t believe it. This person was a small dog.

The little wolf helplessly said, “I’m a wolf, not a little dog!”

Seeing Leiluo’s gaze, the little wolf explained, “All the wolves in our Wolf King tribe can read minds!”

Leiluo found it too incredible, but the little wolf smiled innocently.

Leiluo asked, “Is there a way for me to leave here?”

The little wolf innocently said, “Haven’t you already left the raccoon tribe?”

Leiluo clarified, “Not that. I want to go back to my world!”

The little wolf asked, “Isn’t this it?”

Leiluo tried to explain, but the little wolf was confused. So, Leiluo didn’t bother explaining anymore. Sighing, the two sat on a tree, looking at the endless forest. Leiluo calmly listened to the little wolf describing this world. The little wolf almost fell, but luckily, Leiluo grabbed him. Blushing, the little wolf thanked him.

Leiluo sighed. When could he return to his world? Couldn’t they give him someone smarter if the heavens sent him to this world?

The little wolf suddenly extended a hand, shook it before Leiluo, and sweetly asked, “Leiluo, carrot!”

Leiluo replied irritably, “I’m not a rabbit!”

The little wolf blinked, “But last time, you fought me for it, and didn’t you enjoy eating it?”

Leiluo didn’t bother explaining; he was just too hungry then, and there was nothing to eat. The little wolf forcibly handed him a carrot and happily began munching on one himself. Leiluo was dumbfounded. Was this guy a wolf? Did wolves eat carrots?

Heaven above—what was going on here? Leiluo sighed, resigned. At least this little guy wasn’t too annoying. Leiluo closed his eyes, leaning against the tree.

He hoped that it would all be a dream when he opened his eyes tomorrow!

The little wolf chuckled, leaning beside him, softly saying, “Goodnight, Leiluo,” before closing his eyes.

Tomorrow was a new day, and Leiluo’s and the little wolf’s story was just beginning!
