Chapter 31: raising children

The little dragon seemed to be in a tangle.
Ming Huan’s features were bright and delicate. He was fair-skinned, and always timeless to an excess. The afternoon sunlight was golden and pale like a ginkgo leaf, pouncing on the grass outside the courtyard which made it seem like even the house was filled with sunshine.
The slender neck had a straight collarbone. He was holding the juice in his hands, and his wrist bones were bent into a very cute angle, like a small hamster holding something to the mouth naively.
When it came to alphas, he felt overly naive, and when it came to omegas, he felt that there was some angular sharpness.
He was wrinkling his eyebrows and looking distressed. He was really careless but didn’t want to feel anything.
“Have you eaten enough?”
“Eaten.”
Yu Hanzhou gently put down the coffee cup, “I did not expect you to wake up quite late, so I already planted the flowers. It’s not watered yet. You come with me.”
He led Ming Huan towards the floor-to-ceiling window, and he pointed to the beautiful flower plants they dug up together and said, “This one, water it once every three days. This one, once a day. And this one here, about once every ten days.”
Ming Huan remembered, and with the round pointed watering can in his hand, he began to water the plants in order according to the set amount of water.
Ming Huan poured a little more water on the one that he had accidentally knocked two petals off.
Yu Hanzhou sent him a small gesture and said, “The more the better.”
The lawn’s automatic sprinkler was set to spin a mist of water, and the daylight in the lawn refracted the arc of seven colors which enveloped Ming Huan.
The sun was warm as it warmed the back of the little dragon’s neck and made him want to lie down to get a tan on his belly.
It was Yu Hanzhou who seemed to have other plans.
He said calmly, “There are too many people in the hospital, too much chaos. I have a doctor’s appointment for your regular checkups, from now on, we will not run to the hospital. Today, I have enrolled you in a new course….”
‘New course?’
These two words broke through his inner peace at once.
The squatting Ming Huan raised his cheeks somewhat stiffly, and his eyes had a complicated expression. Yu Hanzhou pulled his hand out of his pocket and held his hand out to Ming Huan as a gesture to pull him up, “Not that kind of course. It’s for omegas. It’s a parent-child course.”
‘Pa, parent-child.’
Ming Huan scratched the back of his head, feeling a little embarrassed.
Although embarrassed, he was not the kind of person who did not know any better, Yu Hanzhou’s words had made it so obvious, and Ming Huan had just a moment to figure out that Yu Hanzhou’s intention to raise him.
This person had been single for more than four hundred years, and had not found a match with an omega by more than 10% omega.
‘Estimated that, ah, in the next four hundred years, there would be no one.’
He was just asked if there was someone with a high degree of a match that he would like to get married to.
Just before the start of his differentiation, he was waiting on his deal and said that he did not want anyone to mark him.
Ming Huan got it.
He was planning to –
Raise children into old age.
Although omegas do not hold up a piece of heaven, at least it was also a warm little cotton coat.
He previously thought that Yu Hanzhou treated him without heart, and it was only after that he realized that he already owed him so much money in the past three years.
Adding it all up –
The price of the agricultural planet is already far more than that, right?
Yu Hanzhou wanted to stay with him as a lonely old man.
He also promised not to force him to study in the future, and promised to respect him, and live peacefully with him in the future.
In this case, if he still left without saying goodbye and suddenly disappeared, then Yu Hanzhou was raising a white-eyed wolf.
“Yu Hanzhou.” Ming Huan clenched his teeth but still couldn’t shout such words like ‘Dad’. No threats would make him do so.. “I understand. You raised me and spent so much money, in the future, I will pay good respect to you if there is a chance.”
Yu Hanzhou, “…?”
“Don’t you worry.” Ming Huan’s other hand also held Yu Hanzhou’s left hand, and his thin hand wrapped his wide hand around it, like it was a promise, “No matter how good the match is, I won’t get married and I won’t have him mark me. Let’s just follow the original plan, get his pheromone sample and pretend that nothing happened….”
“It’s a bit unorthodox, though.”
Ming Huan grinned broadly, “Yes, whatever.”
Yu Hanzhou was initially a little surprised as he looked at the clenched hand down to the slender wrist, small arm, and straight into a pair of honey-like pupils.
After listening, his face became a bit complicated again.
He drew out his hand in silence, “We are almost to the classroom.”
“All those things I said before, they were all words of anger.” Ming Huan thought about how lonely Yu Hanzhou must have been all these years. “Actually, you’re not that bad, I think, even if nine out of ten omegas won’t like you, there’s always one that will. You should not be discouraged, one day you will find an omega…. And you look really young, people must really think that you are my brother out there, no one can tell you are 400 years old. Gosh, I suddenly thought, Xie Shuci’s father is more than a hundred years younger than you….”
Yu Hanzhou’s face had become a little cold.
Obviously Ming Huan was a bit off the mark with this ass-kissing.
Squaring him with a silent stare, Ming Huan’s smile slowly converged and slowly lowered, “Let’s go to class….”
“… COme here for a moment.”
Yu Hanzhou took Ming Huan into the room.
Ming Huan rarely took the initiative to enter Yu Hanzhou’s bedroom. Previously, he was a little curious about Yu Hanzhou, after which he came in and touched things.
His room had a dark gray tone, and the snowy color was a sharp ratio to Ming Huan. It was cold and gloomy.
There wasn’t a welcoming atmosphere.
Yu Hanzhou opened the terminal and added Ming Huan’s connection. Two people entered the virtual classroom together.
Previously he took alpha-related knowledge courses, and Ming Huan went to them all by himself. His buddies in the same class were all alone as young alphas were independent since childhood.
It was the first time he knew that parents were required to accompany them to an omega knowledge course.
After entering the course, they came to the entrance of a teaching building. The system automatically adjusted Yu Hanzou to a handsome face and Ming Huan had a similar one. It should be a face based on the original one with appropriate changes made as Ming Huan’s skin color was still the same.
The five senses seemed to have thirty percent resemblance with the real version, which was enough for the lecturer to better identify the expression, and to achieve the appropriate course effect. The body shape hadn’t changed.
Ming Huan seemed to have grown a little taller, and his height was slightly above Yu Hanzhou’s shoulder.
At the beginning was the basic knowledge lesson.
The accompanying person and the young omega listened to it with about half a small class separated into two separate classrooms.
The other four young omegas were very relaxed and comfortable, sitting on the ground waiting and chatting happily until the teacher came in.
Only Ming Huan silently took out a small book, a recorder, various colorful highlighting pens, elimination pens, point stickers, and sorting clips….
Less than three minutes after the teacher started teaching, he looked at the young omega dragon that was extraordinarily different.
Due to Ming Huan’s efficient experience in previous classes, he already had a book in his left hand and his right hand was grasping a pen before the teacher arrived as if he was ready to do detailed course content records. He also turned on the recording system, not ready to miss a little information.
The teacher cried and laughed.
“Student A, this is not that type of lesson.” The teacher thought that he was too nervous and shouted his number.
“No, I’ve been through many classes.”
That’s why there seemed to be experience.
He knew how to be efficient in class.
“No need to be so serious.” The teacher thought to himself, ‘This is still a young omega with high self-esteem.’ He reached out and touched Ming Huan’s head, “It’s okay, we just came over to study a little so that you can understand more about yourself later. There’s not going to be a test, and it’s not about what skills you must master.”
The teacher gently took the pen and paper out of Ming Huan’s hand and turned off the recording, “Just listen to it, don’t be too stressed, treat me as a good friend. If you have any questions, you can ask them as we go.”
Ming Huan had never once been in this kind of class.
The teacher actually took the initiative to tell him to just listen.
There was no need to deliberately write anything.
It was simply outrageous.
The teacher soon began to show some film and television material on the light screen.
“The fertility rate of our dragon race is very low, and omega’s numbers are the rarest – so, ah, babies, you are the most lovely and rare treasures of this world, and we will heartily look forward to the day you grow up to adulthood. Whether you have energy or not, low-level, middle-level, or high-level young dragons, you are all unique. I hope that later in life, you are enough to discover a hobby, and like many different things. Some of you may have a very sensitive sense of taste, so you’ll become an excellent pastry chef; some have a sensitive sense of smell and become famous interstellar perfumers; some have a sensitive sense of hearing and become musicians; and some….”
Ming Huan’s eyes slowly dilated.
The teacher’s gentle and earnest teaching was completely different from the teacher’s cold and rough lecture when he was in his alpha course.
“Teacher.”
The young omega dragon next to him raised his hand to ask a question, “I want to plant the space station full of Prole flowers, can I? Then anyone on StarNet who wants to buy flowers can buy them from me.”
The teacher laughed, “Of course that’s fine.”
Another young omega with the letter B raised his hand and asked, “Teacher, I, I want to be a teacher.”
“What kind of teacher? A history teacher? A music teacher?”
“A mecha teacher.”
The teacher did not retort but simply said gently, “It will be very hard. You can try it first. And one more point, a very important one. As you grow up, if you feel something different in your body, you must tell your parents or guardians if you are about to reach the growth period. At your discretion, you will be given consideration to transfer to another school-“
“Why?”
“One, because you may have Intermittent differentiation syndrome, your body will be greatly affected. Secondly, remember, you must not get too close to alphas during the differentiation period, and don’t get marked easily.”
‘Why do you say that about alphas as if they are very scary?’
“But teacher, my father said, alphas treat omegas well. They will fulfill almost all of the wishes of omegas-“
“All wishes?” Ming Huan was puzzled.
“Alpha should meet all wishes of omegas.” Student D shifted and bristled unconcernedly, “If the match is good.”
The rest of the young omegas seemed to feel that this was a natural love.
Several raised their chins like reserved and lovely swans, and their learning attitudes were all over the place.
Ming Huan was the only one who listened very carefully.
The class was soon finished.
Yu Hanzhou was in the next classroom and finished three minutes before them. He should have been waiting outside before Ming Huan went out.
The other four omegas all rushed out at once and jumped into the arms of their escorts, only Ming Huan dawdled to pack his things and came out last after he had finished storing them.
Yu Hanzhou stood in the gallery, leaning against the wall with his hands on his elbows.
Daylight hit the side of his face and highlighted the thin harsh jawline and the high nose bridge. The general face was trapped in the shadows under the halo of light.
He was not smiling while waiting, and seemed extraordinarily cold.
“Young A, Young A,” The sweet omega came up to pull his sleeve from behind, “Your accompanying person is so tall, if even his human form is so tall, what about his dragon form? He’s so good-looking too. Is he your pre-matched pair?”
It turned out that there were many young omegas with fiancées who came as escorts.
With his fictitious face, there were only thirty percent similar.
Ming Huan thought to himself, Yu Hanzhou’s body length is a hundred times better.
His appearance was very young, so it was misunderstood that he was his pre-matched pair.
Ming Huan couldn’t say that this was his ‘father’.
It was Yu Hanzhou who heard it and didn’t seem to deny it. Since it wasn’t as warm outdoors as it was indoors, he took the small shawl he had in his hand and draped it over Ming Huan.
“Your fiancé is so gentle.” The young omega next to him stirred his fingers, “He doesn’t look like an ordinary person, he’s an officer.”
In the virtual world, such an inquiry typically does not get an answer.
Ming Huan shook.
‘Yes, and not my matched pair.’
Yu Hanzhou seemed to encounter a bit of urgency in real life, “You wait here for a moment, a little later, when the teacher comes, you tell him to wait five minutes.”
Then he retreated.
Ming Huan stood in the corridor, and the teacher came not long after. Yu Hanzhou instructed him to ask the teacher to wait another five minutes. The teacher was used to being alone in class, so Ming Huan went in first.
This time, the teacher came in and closed the door. He played soothing music in the room and lit up a fragrant lamp with a subtle smell.
The atmosphere created was very romantic.
The little young dragon felt extremely comfortable as soon as he stepped into the room, and the cozy atmosphere caused him to become sleepy with squinty eyes
The teacher saw that only one young omega dragon came in.
The escort was not there.
The teacher’s expression was not a good one, but he still squeezed out a little smile. He pushed up his glasses and asked, “Good boy, where is your escort?”
Ming Huan did not seem to feel that anything was wrong, this was an omega course anyway and Yu Hanzhou was alpha. He would listen and the Ministry of the Military had always been mixed with many dealings, Ming Huan knew best how difficult those people were. So he quietly sent a message to Yu Hanzhou.
[You take your time to deal with it, it’s okay, no need to rush in five minutes.]
“He has work. It’s okay, teacher, you speak first.”
He was afraid that he would not be able to come.
The teacher was gentle and well behaved. He understood the little cutie and shook his head as they said, “But this is a double course.”
“No.” Ming Huan took out his small colored highlight pen, and the pile of stationery, “I will listen to his share as well. You can talk, teacher, I can do it alone.”
The teacher’s face seemed to become a little bad.
Ming Huan thought he did not believe, “No teacher, my previous lessons are also one person, even without accompanying people to explain, I also listen to understand.”
‘There’s no need to doubt my comprehension.’
The teacher’s face got even worse.
This time, the smile was almost on the verge of disappearing.
Knock, knock, knock.
There was a knock at the door.
Ming Huan took the next interval, which was only three minutes past.
Another recovery to the terminal.
[I’m here.]
Yu Hanzhou pushed in the door and raised his hand to take off his gloves naturally, “Sorry I’m late.”
“You shouldn’t say sorry to me, you should say it to your young omega.” The beta teacher never had to wait for an alpha and immediately changed his face. His tone was rough, “How did you leave an underage young omega dragon here, and let him come to class alone?”
“No, he did not throw me away.” Ming Huan quickly shook, “He did have….”
“All omega hatchlings are the rarest of the rare, and an alpha must take care of omegas.” The teacher seemed to feel that this omega young dragon was in an abusive situation, “Letting an omega go to class alone, also ordering him to make such records and detailed excerpts. This is extremely excessive behavior, at this point, any explanation is sophistry.”
“No, his feelings are really true.”
With the military department being so big, Ming Huan did not think since this was like a stab in the basket, and he hated to seal this teacher’s mouth.
Yu Hanzhou was the Federation’s admiral, no one had ever dared to talk to him like this. Although this was in the anonymous virtual world, it was such an inexplicable split-faced scolding, he must be angry and would be very impatient.
Yu Hanzhou would not be willing to accompany him to class in the future.
Even from now on, he may even feel that raising a young omega was too much trouble.
He may finally decide to just throw him out!
Sweep him out the door!
This was the end!
“Besides, he didn’t mean it. He did ask me to wait for him, I didn’t wait….”
Ming Huan explained somewhat out of breath, “I thought I could do it alone, I’m used to being like this, sorry, it’s really my problem….”
Unexpectedly, Yu Hanzhou directly interrupted Ming Huan’s words and sat beside him, “It’s my poor consideration. It won’t be like that in the future.”
‘Oh, oh-’
‘Was this the high and mighty Yu Hanzhou?’
Ming Huan looked at this face that barely resembled his real one, and suddenly felt very strange.
“This is the only time.”
The teacher frowned after seeing Yu Hanzhou’s good attitude in admitting his mistake, and he adjusted his glasses before he swept his sharp gaze over this tall alpha again.
He had to admit.
Although after the system modified his face, this alpha was still handsome, giving off a cold and powerful aura. No wonder the young omega tried to cover for him since he was even willing to take this class.
“You have to treat your fiancé well.” The teacher seemed to misunderstand their relationship.
Yu Hanzhou said, “Not every alpha can be matched to a suitable omega.”
Yu Hanzhou was about to point more out.
Ming Huan first explained, “No, he’s not my match….”
He was not a match, that was, this match was there, just not this person.
When the teacher heard this, he was instantly furious as his hand squeezed the lesson plan tightly, “Good boy, who is your match? How can there be such an irresponsible alpha! Throwing such an immature young dragon to a different alpha?! Is he still a dragon?!”
Ming Huan didn’t dare to speak.
“And, if this is not your matching pair, then who is he to you?” The teacher managed to calm down a bit and sized up the two men.
Yu Hanzhou was silent for a rare time, and when he sensed Ming Huan’s desire to answer, he reached out and tried to pull him back.
Luckily, Ming Huan couldn’t say that word either. He only laughed extremely awkwardly and held two words out of his throat, “Brother….”
“He’s my brother.”

This whole thing is so awkward and so funny at the same time 😭😭
With Omegas being given such huge self-importance, I hope the future lessons temper that with humility and modesty; otherwise some may become the awful types, full of a sense of entitlement and spoilt. Yuck.
A shame all Alphas are being painted as dangerous neanderthals, too.
Brother 😆
Thank you both for the chapter.
LMAOOOO father then brother 😭😂
Poor ml. Also, truee, the teacher being overly caring sometimes makes me have goosebumps. Treating omegas like they’re fragile children. I like Shu Yan’s version more. There’s got to be balance.
