Chapter 59: Heartwarming

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

“Xiao Huan, don’t worry about me.” Yu Hanzhou supported Ming Huan’s waist, holding him gently. “This kind of relationship… I’ll have someone take you back. It’s too dangerous here.”

Yu Hanzhou always liked to mention how dangerous this place was or that place was. He seemed accustomed to taking care of arrangements himself.

“Yu Hanzhou, am I your child?” Ming Huan said.

He paused, his hand on Ming Huan’s arm, correcting with a serious tone, “No, you’re my wife.”

There was a hint of a declaration in his tone. Ming Huan’s mind caught up, and a row of goosebumps appeared on the back of his hand.

Who asked you to answer so seriously! I’m complaining that you’re too controlling over me, you know! Well, forget it. The little dragon climbed onto the Admiral’s neck, mimicking what he had done before. His nose gently rubbed against Yu Hanzhou’s cheek, originally meant to be comforting. However, when the other hand pressed against his chest, he let out a muffled groan.

“Zhou Zhong will bring you here, right?” Yu Hanzhou glanced to the side with a casual look, nonchalantly grabbing the hand pressing on his chest and moving it away. This action made Ming Huan raise an eyebrow slightly, examining Yu Hanzhou up and down, and then his brow gradually furrowed.

“They said your mental energy is severely damaged.” Ming Huan’s expression didn’t look good. He glanced at the position on his chest where he had just pressed, recalling the sensation of his fingertips. “Is it only your mental energy that’s not in good condition?”

“Forget about them,” Yu Hanzhou chuckled. “It’s too late today. I’ll hold you while you sleep. Leave tomorrow morning.”

Upon closer inspection, Ming Huan noticed that his lips looked a bit pale. Besides the lingering scent of alcohol in the room, there seemed to be the bitter aroma of medicinal herbs, mixed with a hint of a slightly bloody scent. He suddenly had a very unpleasant feeling. Without a positive answer, Ming Huan ripped open Yu Hanzhou’s clothes without saying a word. Several buttons crumbled out and fell to the ground, bouncing far away.

It was only then that he saw the burn marks on Yu Hanzhou’s arms and back. It was more like some kind of assassination than wear and tear from a simple war. Ming Huan thought of the materials that he had consulted in the military since before, knowing that the Empire had been watching their side. His face suddenly did not look good.

Yu Hanzhou, this foolish dragon, what exactly is he doing? Ming Huan’s gaze lowered, noticing thick bandages wrapped around his lower abdomen. Ming Huan’s eyes suddenly widened. Unable to hold back, he quickly started undoing Yu Hanzhou’s belt to see where he was injured.

Yu Hanzhou reached out to catch his hands, but Ming Huan knocked them away. “What are you doing!?”

He had endured a bit of the electromagnetic cannon; it only grazed his cheek and left his eyes painfully red. However, Yu Hanzhou’s body had so many small wounds—on his arms, chest, and though the burn marks weren’t deep, they looked horrifying. Zhou Zhong vaguely mentioned that Yu Hanzhou’s mental energy was severely damaged. It turned out the situation was much worse.

The belly was the most vulnerable area on a dragon. It couldn’t be compared to the shoulders, chest, or back. If this area got hit by a high-intensity laser cannon, it would be a severe injury! However, under the bandages on the abdomen, when Ming Huan touched the skin, it felt surprisingly smooth. The thin layer of bandages didn’t correspond to severely burnt skin as he had imagined. Instead, there were firm muscle lines and an extremely elastic texture…

Ming Huan looked up at Yu Hanzhou in astonishment. Why the hell are you wrapping yourself up like this when you’re not even injured!

The little dragon’s eyes were just reddened, but with a turn, they turned cold. Ming Huan slapped his lower abdomen forcefully, “Yu Hanzhou, what are you pretending to be a big bad wolf for?”

“I did encounter an assassination attempt. I downplayed the injuries a bit,” Yu Hanzhou smirked slightly, ruffling his head. “What’s wrong? Did I scare you?”

“It’s not because of Xie Jue. What kind of drama are you two playing?”

Yu Hanzhou pursed his lips. Ming Huan felt like he was contemplating how to deceive him. Holding his face with both hands, pinching his cheeks and pushing them forward a bit, Ming Huan pressed on the area just above his lower abdomen. “Yu Hanzhou, if you tell me the truth, I might consider going back early tomorrow. If you deceive me…”

He was still considering, but in this sentence, Ming Huan said provocatively, “Then what.”

The little dragon’s eyes rolled. “I’ll divorce you.”

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes slightly narrowed, but it seemed like he quickly wiped away any displeasure from the depths of his eyes. “Don’t say such things.”

However, sensing that Ming Huan’s recent mental state seemed much better than half a month ago, Yu Hanzhou also took into account Ming Huan’s stubborn temper and brought out the latest military intelligence.

“Take a look at this investigation report.”

Ming Huan glanced at it briefly.

“Xie Jue is competing for the rights to open a rare mineral planet for the Federation for—”

“To provide jump energy to the Empire, what’s the reason?”

It’s hard to imagine that a profit-driven dragon would engage in such a risky act of treason. Could the Empire have offered him too much?

“Xie Jue hasn’t completely betrayed the Federation; otherwise, my identity couldn’t be hidden. But since two months ago, after the Federation military granted him a 20% stake in opening rights for a rare mineral planet, he has been supplying energy to the Empire… I think there must be some special reason.”

“The Imperial Consul somehow convinced a dragon—To provide jump energy for them.”

A special reason. Ming Huan suddenly thought of Hoth’s actions in searching for him on the outskirts of Capital Star before. If, at that time, Hoth was also preparing to convince him, what reasons would he have used? If only he had known back then.

“If Xie Jue has revealed that you’re a dragon, why would the Empire think of using a hunting-type high-frequency electromagnetic cannon to assassinate you?” Ming Huan’s attention returned to a small scratch on Yu Hanzhou’s chest. “They don’t believe I’m a dragon; they suspect there’s a dragon protecting me.” The pace of speech slowed. Ming Huan’s pupils gradually dilated, “They’re not trying to assassinate you; they’re looking for me!”

“Mn.” Yu Hanzhou caught his restless hands, trying to pull up his pants. But speaking of it, the little dragon was now sitting on him, twisting left and right, and directly skin-to-skin contact was making him a bit breathless.

“Yu Hanzhou, why didn’t you tell me earlier?!” Ming Huan pressed his shoulders with both hands, leaning down a bit, and raised his knees slightly. In this position, he shifted back a bit more, pressing on Yu Hanzhou’s lower abdomen. They were searching for an SSS Level white-feathered dragon. The Empire believed that once he reached adulthood, he would march and pledge allegiance to Yu Hanzhou. To catch him, they resorted to using a hunting-type electromagnetic cannon.

“Xiao Huan, you should go back…”

“I’m not going back.”

Yu Hanzhou inexplicably slowed his breathing somewhat, “Then you….”

“I won’t.”

Ming Huan did not even want him to finish his proposal, “I said, there are problems you tell me to stay out of, but we can discuss together to solve them. I am always bored alone. How do I know what you are thinking and what you are going to do? Even for Xie Shuci’s pressuring mental energy after the riot, you also did not say anything to me about that.”

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes also turned a little dark, “If I say the words, you will act like you do now, and ask me to mark you.”

“What’s wrong with that?” Ming Huan wondered, “You dislike me?!”

“No. I’m not in a good mental state to mark you. You might get hurt.”

“Then say it clearly.”

“If I say it clearer, you will still have the idea.”

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes were dark, “Just like now, you still think that I should mark you.”

Ming Huan did think so in his heart.

At least in his opinion, Yu Hanzhou did not look like he was in any ‘bad mental state’, rather the smell of the rich inhibitor made him panic.

In his judgment, Yu Hanzhou should indeed mark him as the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

“If I’m injured, I’m not going to war.”

The little dragon, who had predetermined thoughts, said neatly, “Don’t nag, you hurry up and bite me.”

“Xiao Huan, you now are in the mood of over-dependence, you and I are both affected by that incident last time. It is not appropriate to be marked in this situation…. You go down.”

Yu Hanzhou’s voice got lower and lower, and his words seemed to want for them to keep some distance.

This soft voice was magnetic, but sounded less gentle.

It also had the usual feeling of him patiently coaxing him.

When it came to overdependence, Yu Hanzhou was not too dependent on him.

‘ What’s wrong with a little marking, marking is good for you, I also dislike that your belly is rough and not good for sitting, if you still have to go down, just go down– Just get up.’

Ming Huan seemed to realize that his movement was suddenly frozen in mid-air.

Yu Hanzhou’s face looked subtle, and Ming Huan resentfully looked him down with a red face.

He fiercely pulled the quilt and covered it up.

the quilt was a little thin, and more like a cover.

Ming Huan could not help but cough with his hand over forehead, “Are you thirsty…. I, I’ll go get you a glass of water.”

He had just sat on the edge of the bed when Yu Hanzhou’s eyes slightly narrowed. He flipped him to change his position from upwards to downwards.

The little dragon beneath him was enveloped in a shadow.

His voice was a little raspy.

“Xiao Huan, do you like mine?”

“….”

Ming Huan twisted and turned.

“If you want to bite, bite quickly.”

“I want you to say it.”

Yu Hanzhou leaned down and gently sniffed the scent on Ming Huan’s neck. The scent of the last mark had been almost scattered there, which made an extremely unpleasant feeling of anxiety rise up in his heart.

“You also had a pre-match before matching with me….”

“You mean Xie Shuci?” Ming Huan froze for a moment, “You actually care about that.”

“Mn.”

“Yu Hanzhou, I don’t like him.”

“I know.”

‘You know, you know, then why do you care?’

“My emotional state hasn’t been good. I might not be able to resist hurting you if I mark you directly. If you can be as soothing as possible-“

‘Oh, so that’s what he meant. It’s really troublesome to make one mark!’

Why? Obviously he was only an omega, but he took the initiative to bite even if it required persuading this alpha to mark him before they also coaxed each other!

Ming Huan gasped and felt his skin turn numb. His throat was also extraordinarily stagnant, and he could not hold onto the word ‘like’ for half a day.

Yu Hanzhou waited for him.

“I, I like–“

“Mmm!”

Yu Hanzhou fiercely kissed him from the lips to the teeth and the jaw, gnawing all the way down.

He made another small bite on his throat.

This time, the mark was noticeably a little more painful than last time. When the sharp teeth pierced directly into the glands, Ming Huan understood in that instant what the concept of a ‘bad mood’ was from Yu Hanzhou’s mouth.

‘Just, it hurts. Like a beast gripping my neck.’

The heavy breathing kept coming, and their bodies were close together. They could feel each other’s violent heartbeat and body heat.

Yu Hanzhou was indeed a little out of control.

The pheromone concentration was getting higher and higher, and Ming Huan felt that since the collapse of the mental energy could not be suppressed, he wanted to push away, but the other side gave a heavier bite.

It was almost to some critical concentration value that the little dragon obviously could not stand.

His nails reached out and began to pierce the skin on Yu Hanzhou’s arm.

“I like….” He thought that he should have screamed out long before as what spilled out of his throat was a mouth full of softness that constantly shouted, “…. I like you, I like you, Yu Hanzhou…. I like you! Like you….”

The pheromone concentration steadied, and the sharp teeth loosened a little as it slowly left the delicate back of his neck.

Ming Huan had a little tear that came from the corner of the eyes as this time, it really hurt.

He bit the lower lip while gasping for air and directly crying.

Yu Hanzhou knew that this time, he nearly over-marked him. He waited until his consciousness gradually came back to see that the gland had deep bite marks that gave his heart a shock.

He reached out to rub him with a hand.

With each rub, Ming Huan still cried.

This made Yu Hanzhou not know what to do.

“You better–” Ming Huan’s lower lip was bitten red, and his eyes were vicious, “You better win this battle, you better…. Can take care of Xie Jue to find out what’s going on, you better…. Stop being casual about your damaged mental energy….”

His eyelashes were stained with wetness.

Yu Hanzhou was in pain as he rubbed Ming Huan’s crimson lower lip to pry open his lips and teeth to stop him from shivering and biting as he spoke.

“Next time, bite me, don’t bite your lips.”

“Next time?” Ming Huan pushed him hard, “There’s a fucking next time!”

Yu Hanzhou kissed the tear marks on his face, “Okay, then there is.”

The little dragon was exhausted and slowly fell asleep in his arms again.

He vaguely remembered a dream where Xie Shuci and those sent into the cryogenic chamber for little dragons all woke up, and they attended his and Yu Hanzhou’s wedding.

He was holding a flower in his hand, wearing a straight military uniform, and Yu Hanzhou stepped on a carpet covered with glittering fresh flower petals.

Yu Hanzhou put the ring on his finger.

“You see, I told you, it’s all going to be okay.”

When he woke up, Yu Hanzhou was sitting beside him.

He covered his sore neck, and his body smelled like Yu Hanzhou’s pheromone.

Yu Hanzhou dressed him since he was still dazed, “I’m completely fine. It’s too dangerous here. Go home.”

Ming Huan grunted, “But I want to sleep some more, I’m so sleepy.”

A soft kiss covered his brow.

“What’s more important to me is you. You stay at home. I give you my word. Everything will be fine.”

The words of Yu Hanzhou in the dream world seemed to overlap with the present, and Ming Huan raised his eyes to meet Yu Hanzhou’s firm and abrupt eyes. As if he had been promised countless times before, he inexplicably had a feeling of peace come over him.

“Okay.”

Ming Huan’s head was dizzy, and he sleepily nodded off in his arms.

This is so obviously reciprocated love.
Xie Ju a traitor?! I don’t like him, but am surprised by that. I wonder if the Empire have told XJ that MH is an Omega and can heal his son, but only they know how to access and use his pheromone successfully ~ or some such thing.
Thank you both for the chapter.
