Chapter 70: Extra: False Pregnancy

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

“Admiral Yu.”

Shu Yun visited the Admiral’s residence, and pointed at the old AI butler in front of the door as he entered, “Why are you still using the original model from five or six hundred years ago?”

This time, Shu Yun took advantage of Ming Huan’s stay in the Capital Star to discuss the gift of breaking the shell with him.

The dragon egg that Shu Yun had laid a hundred years ago was finally showing signs of breaking its shell.

It had been a long wait.

This was normal.

Even if it has been raised in a suitable environment for hatching, the hatching time of a dragon egg was not slowed down for a couple of hundred years. If the natural conditions are harsh, four or five hundred years was not bad and thousands of years was also fine.

Shu Yun asked Ming Huan, “When exactly are you going to raise a baby dragon egg? Look at ours, it will take a long time to break its shell.”

Ming Huan rested his left leg on his right knee and turned his toes upside down as he concentrated on picking out the gift while shaking his head in the process.

Shu Yun turned his attention back to the admiral.

“He’s still young.”

Yu Hanzhou very calmly glanced at the little dragon who was lying on the sofa on his stomach while picking out gifts, “There is no hurry.”

Shu Yun and the Commander: “….”

Although, Ming Huan’s character was indeed… a little childish.

It’s been over a hundred years, and he was still the same.

At work, he was also quick and furious.

Ming Huan was now working in the highest level of the military, and was busy due to the development of the star field. From time to time, he also had to travel for two or three months, and the conditions were also difficult.

Ming Huan was happy as work made him happy, especially the kind of work that was away from the control of Yu Hanzhou.

This doubled the pleasure.

It felt like he was under Admiral Yu’s control too much when he was undifferentiated, and a little too spoiled as an adult.

“This, in fact, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going according to plan.”

Shu Yun silently chanted, touching his slightly bulging belly, “For example, this one is completely unplanned.”

Shu Yun could see that the admiral was quite fond of children, but Ming Huan was not very willing at the moment, so the character of Admiral Yu would also not mention anything more.

Shu Yun then said a few more words.

“I heard, the white feathered evil dragon and the other dragons formed a dragon companion, the probability of giving birth to a small white feathered evil dragon is less than 1%.” The ancient Empire’s data of 150 years ago had almost been split and absorbed by the Federation. For the information on dragons that was now inherited by the capital hospital, Shu Yun was clear as hell on the column data, “Because the white feathered evil dragon generally only differentiates into an alpha, the ancient empire was worried about the white feathered evil dragon’s birth rate. “

Shu Yun rubbed his chin for a moment.

“This is the first time that two white feathered dragons have been matched, maybe, you’ll give birth to 100% white feathered dragons. A family of three white feathered dragons, how amazing….”

Ming Huan’s toes did not point, and he suddenly tilted his head backwards to look at Shu Yun next to him before he teasingly said: “Dean Shu, do you feel that you and your father are becoming more and more alike?”

Shu Yun: “….”

‘You are the only one who can dislike people.’

Yu Hanzhou put down the black tea in his hand and heard little dragon’s reluctance, “It’s okay, let him be happy.” Shu Yun slightly sympathized with the admiral. You couldn’t generalize between some dragons with other dragons. For example, the admiral has lived for almost five hundred years, and it was not easy to marry a wife.

Shu Yun’s father was only 300 years old, and already a grandfather. The general was waiting for his wife for four hundred years, but his wife was arrogant and stubborn. According to him, he used an accommodating method, so the little dragon egg might have to wait for eight hundred years.

“If Lieutenant General Zhou keeps assigning such a heavy workload to Major General Ming, I’m afraid that in another hundred years, it will be impossible to have a little dragon egg.” Commander Xue rounded up, “I see that Major General Ming is happy with it. The world of two is also very good.”

Ming Huan had an unrestrained nature and hated to be tied down by anything.

There were a lot of wilderness planets on those development star fields, and Ming Huan liked the kind of work that was full of freshness and required constant exploration. It felt very challenging, and he overflowed with pride at the moment of completion.

Five years ago, when he heard that there was a new plan to develop the star field, he obliged directly in the military meeting to take on this matter.

For five years, they were mostly away from each other.

This time, he could only stay at home for ten days for his leave.

Yu Hanzhou looked at others who were playing wild, but he felt that he was quite happy. He was not involved in his work affairs.

Ming Huan was at the most energetic age, and he was very energetic.

‘I only told him to eat well and sleep well, pay more attention to rest, and not to wear out his body.’

Although always behaving very mildly, Shu Yun could see that the admiral actually also wanted to have an additional dragon egg at home.

More than a hundred and forty years ago, when Ming Huan was just four or five years old, he asked Ming Huan if he wanted to have children.

At that time, Ming Huan said, “No. I haven’t had enough of the life that I have now.”

‘Okay.’

Yu Hanzhou also considered the issue of genetic locks. Then, more than 90 years ago, the problem of the genetic lock was completely solved. He asked Ming Huan once more.

Ming Huan still shook his head. He said, “I’ve been used to a two-person world for the past sixty or seventy years, and it’s weird to have a dragon egg.”

Yu Hanzhou: “….”

Yu Hanzhou basically went along with him on everything, especially the big things.

This time Shu Yun and his mate left, Yu Hanzhou and smoothly mentioned this matter. At that moment, Ming Huan was lying on the bed, wearing short and loose-fitting pants. He playfully kicked his ankle on the round buttocks while casually flipping through the report materials. When he twisted his body, a small part of his lower back was exposed, the waist dipping into a charming indentation, the lines slender and alluring.

Yu Hanzhou’s desire was ignited. He decided not to discuss anything about dragon eggs with him. If they didn’t hatch, they didn’t hatch. First, he needed to take good care of Ming Huan and ensure everything went smoothly.

Coincidentally, it happened during Ming Huan’s passionate period, and this time, it was particularly thorough. Little Dragon slept in a daze for several days, not getting out of bed, with Yu Hanzhou taking care of everything, feeding him and providing all his needs. Once the passionate period passed, he woke up completely and immediately went to the new star region.

Then, a month later, Ming Huan in the remote star region vaguely felt that something was wrong. Lately, he seemed exceptionally sleepy, and the scent of omega pheromones on his body inexplicably diminished. He didn’t pay much attention to it initially. However, during one login to the Desert Star, he was unexpectedly flipped over by a strong wind, and he started feeling intensely dizzy.

As a mental energy dragon of SSS level, such dizziness could be linked to mental energy unrest.

Worried, Ming Huan found a backward medical station nearby for a recommendation check. The result showed that there was no issue with his mental energy. Perplexed, he underwent a comprehensive examination. Before one particular examination began, the doctor received a sudden prompt and pushed up his glasses, “Are you… pregnant?”

What’s wrong?

After realizing, Ming Huan’s mind felt like it had been hit by a giant hammer, and that dizzy feeling returned. After a while, he said, “Check again for me.”

Looking at the report on the terminal, Ming Huan also checked the progress of the development, the unexplored edge planets, the under-construction technological stars, and the transit communication stars. He felt a bit dumbfounded for quite a while. He remembered Shu Yun when he was pregnant with a little dragon egg. He didn’t even go to the hospital, lying at home all day. Commander Shu kept a close eye on him, not allowing him to go out.

Because omega pheromones during pregnancy with a little dragon egg were not very stable, it was easy to experience mental energy unrest in that era. Now that the genetic lock restrictions had been lifted—

Yu Hanzhou probably wouldn’t confine him at home like Commander Shu did.

He opened the terminal, intending to message Yu Hanzhou. However, he hesitated for a moment. Although nowadays, pregnancy-related mental energy unrest was almost unheard of, Yu Hanzhou’s personality had always been gentle and conservative. He wanted to eliminate any possibility, even if it was just 1%.

In the past five years, he had been overseeing the construction of the technological star. It would be a significant loss to hand it over now. He had personally designed and supervised every aspect of the technological star’s construction. He wanted to see it completed. Moreover, who could he entrust all these complicated matters to? Should he leave it to Commander Zhou, his superior officer? Commander Zhou’s mental energy was only SSS level, and managing the information system might be a bit challenging. The positioning might also have deviations. Only when the information system was thoroughly perfected could the commanders with mental energy level S and above in the capital star accurately locate the current star regions.

He could completely act as if he didn’t know about the pregnancy. He could delay it until the completion of this phase and the information station’s construction. He hesitated. And he continued hesitating until the next day dawned. Ming Huan felt dizzy and took some medicine. He thought about deceiving Yu Hanzhou. Should he delay it for another two months? Did he really want to do that?

Yu Hanzhou was good to him, very accommodating, treating him like a child. He yielded in almost every aspect. But it didn’t mean he had no boundaries. In over a hundred years, Yu Hanzhou’s anger had been rare. Ming Huan could vaguely perceive what his boundaries were.

When he really got angry, he was quite stern. Ming Huan, who had been unruly and didn’t understand things when he was young, had a few cases where he was genuinely scolded by Yu Hanzhou and ended up in a miserable state. Thinking about this, even the usually arrogant little dragon couldn’t help but hesitate when facing the possibility of crossing those boundaries.

“Ah… forget it, I’ll just tell him.”  If he had to restrain himself, he could only endure it.

Ming Huan hesitated until noon. He decided to tell Yu Hanzhou. The edited message was very short, accompanied by a picture of the identification report. As soon as he sent it, he immediately received a private terminal communication request.

“Xiao Huan, did you go to the Desert Star today?” The voice on the other end seemed to carry a bit of indescribable depth, speaking a bit faster than usual, and the tone was very soft.

“No, I’m still at the base.”

“Okay, wait for me.” After the communication was disconnected, Yu Hanzhou rushed over immediately. He was still wearing a crisp and thin military uniform. It was summer on the capital star, but the temperature here was quite low. Why didn’t he even bring a coat?

Ming Huan wanted to take off his coat, but Yu Hanzhou promptly raised his hand to stop him, buttoning up an extra button on the outside, “Put work aside for now. The medical conditions here are not good. I’ll take you to the capital star for a comprehensive examination.”

As expected, they still had to return to the capital star.

“Upset?”

“No, no.”

After walking a few steps, the little dragon seemed a bit absent-minded, as if reluctant to leave the base station.

Yu Hanzhou bent down gently, picking up the slender little figure without caring about the astonished eyes of the military officers passing by. Ming Huan was startled, “Yu Hanzhou, what are you doing?”

He was effortlessly lifted onto the fighter jet, and Yu Hanzhou pecked his lips lightly. “I’m not stopping you from coming back, but I need to know about your physical condition.”

Yu Hanzhou’s tone was very patient. “You’re not feeling well; that’s why you thought of going to the medical station for a checkup, right?”

“…Yes.”

“So, if the situation is good, can I continue my work?”

“Of course.” Surprisingly, Yu Hanzhou agreed decisively, not as difficult to communicate with as Ming Huan had imagined. “If your health is good and you can handle the workload, I’ll accompany you here, personally taking care of you and the little dragon.”

Ming Huan’s face felt a bit warm.

Little dragon.

Did he really have a little dragon inside him?

Feeling the unexpectedly amiable mood of his usually emotionally stable dragon companion, Ming Huan’s heart warmed too.

Yu Hanzhou unexpectedly seemed easygoing, dispelling Ming Huan’s last bit of worry. He had not slept well the previous night, with faint dark circles under his eyes. Nestling beside Yu Hanzhou filled him with a sense of security, and he soon fell asleep.

He woke up just after completing the examination in the hospital.

Yu Hanzhou held the latest report in his hand, and his expression was slightly solemn. “What’s wrong? Is the situation bad?”

Ming Huan suddenly worried about the little dragon egg in his belly, subconsciously reaching out to touch his abdomen.

“No, it’s not.” Yu Hanzhou said, “You didn’t conceive a little dragon egg. It was a misdiagnosis from the medical station before.”

“Ah?”

“It’s a false pregnancy.”

Yu Hanzhou seemed a bit embarrassed. If an omega dragon’s passage was stimulated too deeply during the opening of the mating cavity, it could have a certain probability of triggering false pregnancy symptoms. Typically, it would subside in about a month.

Ah, it was a false pregnancy.

Ming Huan felt lost.

Why did he have this feeling?

Before he could react to his emotional change, Yu Hanzhou said in a slightly stern tone, “Xiao Huan.”

“Yes?”

Instead of using the examination report from the capital hospital, Yu Hanzhou opened the terminal and pulled up the diagnosis Ming Huan had sent him from the medical station. The picture hung in front of them, with clear writing.

Yu Hanzhou pointed at the date under the signature.

His somewhat cold attitude made Ming Huan feel a bit uneasy.

“This diagnosis was made on the evening of the 17th. Why did you send me the message on the noon of the 18th?”

Ah, was there a date on the diagnosis?

Ming Huan scratched his head.

“What were you thinking that night?”

“I… I just felt dizzy and forgot to tell you.”

Yu Hanzhou didn’t let the matter go lightly. After returning home, he ordered Ming Huan to stand against the wall in the study and write a self-criticism and a guarantee letter.

Ah, why write self-criticism for something that didn’t happen? If he had known it was a false pregnancy, he would have sent it to Yu Hanzhou directly.

Dragging his tail, he finished writing the self-criticism and guarantee letters. Yu Hanzhou happened to finish cooking downstairs.

“Come over, let’s eat.”

Ming Huan sniffled, sensing that Yu Hanzhou seemed a bit angry. Subconsciously murmuring, “I did tell you…”

He felt a bit guilty, and his small tail drooped down.

“If your head wasn’t dizzy, you would have been taken care of a long time ago.” Yu Hanzhou’s face didn’t ease, and Ming Huan, hearing that, instinctively rubbed his buttocks. Uncharacteristically, he obediently sat down on the stool.

“This is not a trivial matter. If the same thing happens again, tell me. What should you do?”

Ming Huan’s face almost buried itself in the soup bowl.

He was thinking, why did the diagnosis have a date at the bottom? The date was so small, and the photo was a bit blurry. How did Yu Hanzhou notice it?

“Tell you immediately…”

“Mn.” Yu Hanzhou gave him a chopstick of food, “Remember, if you’re a jerk about this kind of thing again, I…”

“Won’t.” Ming Huan bowed his head, “Actually, today at the hospital, when I heard that I was falsely pregnant, I thought I would be relieved, but I didn’t expect to seem… There was a little bit, a strange feeling. It’s like, there really was a dragon egg in my stomach. If I’m really pregnant next time, I’ll be the first to tell you, it’s also responsible for the little dragon egg.”

Hearing these two sentences, Yu Hanzhou’s cold and hard expression abruptly eased a lot. Silently, he added two more spoons of soup to Ming Huan.

“Mmm, drink more.” Ming Huan, with a round belly, burrowed back into the blankets. Yu Hanzhou didn’t seem as angry now; when holding him, he would rub his belly, making him so comfortable that he kept humming.

It seemed like the other was about to fall asleep.

Ming Huan turned over to face Yu Hanzhou.

“Yu Hanzhou.”

Ming Huan asked, “Do you think we should really have a little dragon egg?”

In the darkness, the large dragon suddenly lifted his eyelids, revealing vertical pupils for half a second before instantly returning to normal.

“Are you not troubled?” The big dragon asked as if to confirm.

“With you around, I’m not troubled at all.” Ming Huan lowered his head, speaking the truth. Yu Hanzhou appeared gentle and extremely controlling, and he would surely take care of everything if they had a little dragon. Where would he truly be tired?

When Ming Huan saw Yu Hanzhou at the base station today, he felt the anticipation hidden beneath the gentle gaze. In fact, if there was indeed a little dragon egg, and inside it grew their little dragon day by day, blending their genes, it would be their descendant. This feeling was also wonderful. Yu Hanzhou’s tail wrapped around Ming Huan’s wrist, lifted it to his head, and began kissing his earlobe and neck.

“Uh, do you prefer alphas or omegas…”

“Either is fine.”

“Do you prefer boys or girls…”

“Either is fine.”

In just a moment, the little dragon’s breath became irregular, and there was no time for more questions. Yu Hanzhou was exceptionally gentle this time. The incident where the little omega dragon experienced false pregnancy due to the excessive intensity during the previous mating season served as a warning. Yu Hanzhou didn’t want the little dragon to suffer again due to his mistakes.

So this time, he applied force extremely slowly. However, this shallow grinding was also quite intense. It was like cutting meat with a dull knife. The little dragon’s eyes reddened, ankles dangling in mid-air, toes curling tightly, “Yu Hanzhou…”

The little dragon tossed his sweaty head and couldn’t help lifting it. In a panic, he began urgently kissing him, almost crying as he said, “I understand—”

“I will definitely, definitely tell you. I won’t delay it. Yu Hanzhou, I’m sorry, this is really my fault…”

Even in the moist breath, there were mixed meanings, like a captured little deer kicking its legs uncontrollably. Hearing this, one’s blood would boil. The little dragon mistakenly thought he had slowed down intentionally, that it was a punishment. Before, he had only heard him say “slower” and “stop,” and hearing such words for the first time was quite an experience.

“What do you want then?”

“I…” The little dragon held back his tears, unable to say.

“If you don’t say it, how will I know?” Yu Hanzhou’s nose brushed past his moist eye corner. “Hmm?”

“I… I…”

Still— Unable to say anything because of the overly anxious little omega, on the verge of a breakdown and crying. Yu Hanzhou chuckled softly, deepening his kiss on his lips. His movements became more fierce. The scents of the top omega and top alpha’s pheromones collided relentlessly in the air until dawn.

These 2 will make a great family.
It always makes me laugh, how MH pushesboundaries and then reflects on how badly that’s always worked out in the past… always too late.
Some of the time concepts seem ‘off’ though. Previously White Feathered Dragon age was talked about in 100s of years, to just over 1,000. Yet a not rare egg can take that long to hatch, per SY? It would never know its parents!
Thank you both for the chapter. One more to go 🥹
