Chapter 71: Extra: What if…

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

[Beep~]

[Identification result: SSS-level.]

The sound of the instrument was clearly conveyed through the invisible announcer on the bright small roof, and the pupils of the woman operating the equipment plummeted with a momentary vertical pupil showing her consternation.

She and the man next to her exchanged a look of horror. Ming Huan came to his senses in a blur. He had just opened his eyes to see a young woman who looked like a nurse continue to put something on his arm, “Be good, let’s test again. Oh ~” This coaxing tone was one that was like coaxing a child.

‘Wait a minute.’ His eyes gradually focused. ‘How is my hand so small? It looks like a child that was 11 or 12 years old.’ Ming Huan looked around, and it was like a glass wall reflected his dirty body. ‘How did I….I’m back again? This is not the day I transmigrated into a book.’

Ming Huan looked confused. He remembered that he and Yu Hanzhou had just celebrated their bicentennial wedding anniversary last night, ‘How can I go back to the past? From the beginning?’

Before he knew it, a group of people in white protective clothing suddenly rushed into the room. It was obvious that he seemed to be a little cautious, and they approached half a step and half a step closer, seeing that he did not lose his temper before reaching out to carry him down onto the chair.

“Are you hungry? Then…. Are you thirsty? Do you want to take a nap….”

Ming Huan didn’t say anything. He was taken to the nearest monitoring station of this junk star for [differentiation prediction].

[Ding~ The probability of differentiation into omega is 99.9%.] The result that came out shocked Ming Huan.

‘What the hell, how could it directly detect that he was going to differentiate into an omega? Something is wrong with this machine! Something is wrong!’ The little evil dragon roared soundlessly.

“It’s omega….”

“It’s actually going to be an omega…. … mental energy of a SSS-level omega? What is the principle? The higher the mental energy means the higher level dragon race, and easier to differentiate into alpha.”

The monitoring station, Neran, organized the little dragon cub’s body test report, and a copy was sent to the top of the military. It was a copy that was sent to the federal court for records.

Then, in less than ten minutes, the sky ripped open a rift. An exclusive warplane of the military department appeared on the deserted monitoring station.

A handsome and upright figure appeared at the entrance of the station, wearing the uniform of a high ranking federal officer with an exquisite ornate armband and cold rough military boots that stepped onto the long dusty floor of the station.

“Yes, it’s Yu Hanzhou!”

Ming Huan almost forgot how he felt the first time he saw Yu Hanzhou.

He seemed to be very panicked and very repulsed. After all, he knew that he would be their own nemesis as he had then openly refused to go with him and was forced to inhale tranquilizers before being brought back to the Federation.

‘The first thing you need to do is to get a good idea of what you’re looking for. After having the advantage of height, I found that Yu Hanzhou had a clear jawline, straight and square-shaped shoulder blades that made him quite good-looking. His legs were also long. The shoulders were also very broad.’

“Admiral Yu.” The monitor station chief greeted him with a salute, hating that he could not immediately throw the hot potato of this little evil dragon that had just broken its shell to this man with a cold temperament in front of him, “You are finally here.”

Ming Huan blinked his eyes. He knew that Yu Hanzhou was going to take him away next.

“Take him to the capital star, go through the formal procedures, and screen the adopters immediately.”

“…?” ‘Something didn’t seem right.’

“Aren’t you going to adopt him?”

Yu Hanzhou held his information in his hand, “This is a small omega. It’s not suitable.”

“…?!!!” Ming Huan shuddered in shock, “Yu, Yu Hanzhou!”

‘Huh, did I sound like this when I had just broken my shell? The strange sheepishness.’ Ming Huan jumped down from his seat and grabbed the corner of Yu Hanzhou’s coat to not let him leave immediately.

Yu Hanzhou’s outstretched hand was slightly frozen as he had little experience with a young omega so he could only calm his voice and straighten the waist plate of his body, “What’s wrong.”

“You….” ‘You’re not here to take me away? Why is this [differentiation prediction] machine suddenly accurate, and can actually measure his differentiation later into omega? Yu Hanzhou is an alpha, and he’s not willing to adopt him now. But if you don’t adopt me, then who will? I still have to go to someone else’s house in the future.’

Ming Huan inexplicably resisted. The clothes on his body were also very worn as the coarse feeling of it rubbing him made him very uncomfortable, and it also kept drilling wind in from under the ankle.

Yu Hanzhou now will not take him to buy new clothes and will not take care of him, because he now does not even have the obligation [of custody].

‘It will be three years later in the growth stage before [pre-matching] can take place. It will be the differentiation period before [precise matching] can take place. So long. What about these three years for him?’

The little evil dragon looked very insistent, obviously as he met him for the first time but grabbed onto his sleeve without letting go. Another footstep came from outside the door.

The director of the Capital Hospital heard that the future is predicted for him to differentiate into omega with the mental energy at SSS-class after he had broken his shell. He excitedly came at the same time that Admiral Yu came. He had just pushed the door in to hear the Admiral say “You let go first, I am going to leave now.” He saw the sleeve forcefully removed from a small young dragon who looked as if his heart had been ripped out, and he immediately stopped between the two.

‘What are you doing, Admiral? It’s a little omega!’ He gave the admiral, who had no experience with omega, a look.

Yu Hanzhou dropped his eyes, took two steps back, and stood by the window. He let Dean Shu fix the little omega’s heart, thinking that he was unwilling to go to Capital Star with them.

“Baby, come with us. We won’t hurt you.” Dean Shu took out a beautiful bouquet of flowers from somewhere and placed it in the little young dragon’s hand, causing the little dragon to lift his eyes, “You don’t have a nurturer, in the future, ah, you will have a new home.”

The young dragon that had just broken its shell was immersed in the sweet scent of flowers, “Huh?”

‘A new home.’ The flower in his hand fell to the ground with a snap. Petals scattered around the feet. ‘Hmm? Do you not like flowers that much?’

Dean Shu took his wife’s favorite marshmallows again, tore them open, and handed them to the young dragon. he found that the young dragon’s eyes glued to Admiral Yu.

“That is the admiral of our federation.”

“He’s leaving now. We will carefully screen for your new adoptive family”

The little evil dragon, suddenly shook his head.

“Gosh, look at the clothes you’re wearing, it’s rough, isn’t it?”

‘…. It is quite uncomfortable.’

“Ouch, look at these shoes, they’re all muddy. The little omega is the cleanest of them all.”

‘Yeah, it’s too dirty.’ Ming Huan inexplicably felt a little aggrieved, and his little head hung down. Under the dean’s eyes, Yu Hanzhou quietly approached and reached out his hand to rub the little dragon’s head.

Dean said, “Let’s pack up and go back to Capital Star tomorrow so we can buy new clothes and new shoes.”

Ming Huan heard the footsteps of Yu Hanzhou leaving. He didn’t care about the dean who was still talking to him and lifted his short legs to follow him out.

The wind outside the monitoring station was very strong, and Ming Huan saw Yu Hanzhou get into the leapfrog fighter. He followed behind him. He thought about what to say.

As soon as he looked up, he saw Yu Hanzhou’s pale eyes looking down on him and a little hope flashed under his eyes.

“Go back.”

He was telling him to go back to the monitoring station. Ming Huan frowned as he grabbed the man’s pinky once more, and also said, “Go back.”

This time, it was Yu Hanzhou who froze. His eyes moved downward as he silently looked at the thumb finger that was held, “Hmm?”

“I’m going back with you.”

Yu Hanzhou did not break away this time and instead half-crouched down to look at the dirty child in front of him, “What did you say?”

“Go back to our home.”

‘Back to our home.’ Ming Huan’s hand held on tighter and tighter as he slightly pursed mouth, and his beautiful pupils were imprinted on Yu Hanzhou. His eyes appeared somewhat dazed.

“You want me to adopt you.” Yu Hanzhou quickly figured out what he meant, and then denied, “No way. I’m an alpha, and you will later be an omega. An alpha can’t live with an omega. It’s dangerous.”

Dean Shu followed them out as he originally felt worried that Yu Hanzhou would be too aggressive to the child. He did not expect to accidentally see some warm scene as the usually unsmiling admiral actually raised his hand and rubbed the top of the head of the young dragon that had just broken his shell, “You will have a more suitable adopter.”

He said that he wanted to pull his little thumb out of the child’s hand, but it was clutched even tighter. The nails of the baby dragon were scratching his fingertips, and no force was applied.

“I want you to adopt me.”

‘Two hundred years of marriage.’ Ming Huan was used to making direct requests like this, but Yu Hanzhou’s still indifferent attitude makes him extremely uncomfortable, and he couldn’t think of any reason to convince the other party. Both hands came together and obstinately grabbed the other’s wrist. “Yu Hanzhou!”

‘This little omega unexpectedly had quite the rowdy character, ah.’ The other one is not so quiet and timid.

President Shu let people bring the little omega back and started to coax him with two sentences as he had seen him by the leap fighter base with red eyes caused by the wind. He compassionately said, “Oh, why are you crying?”

Yu Hanzhou with a foot on the warplane paused. He swept his eyes back and his jaw was clenched. Ming Huan was still thinking about what to do. The machine had detected that he was an “omega”, and Yu Hanzhou would not adopt him. He also had to have another [custody] bundle with other strange dragons, which gave him a very unpleasant feeling from the bottom of his heart.

He blinked his eyes and his eyelashes were wet. Dean Shu suddenly stood up.

“Yu….”

Ming Huan saw a huge shadow stretching beneath his feet, and someone came up from behind him. Then a huge hat pressed against his head, almost covering most of his face.

“Don’t get too close to the fighter, the base is windy.” Yu Hanzhou had just finished speaking when the young dragon in front of him turned around. He saw a pair of eyes glittering with tears looking straight at him from under the brim of the hat.

“Yu Hanzhou.”

“You…. You’re not adopting me?” Ming Huan asked one more time, “You have to adopt me, I…. I don’t want to go to someone else’s house….”

“Someone else’s house.”

Yu Hanzhou thought to himself, “So I’m not someone else?

he half squatted down after seeing the baby dragon crying pitifully and lifted his hand to wipe his tears again.

This wipe reminded Ming Huan of what Yu Hanzhou had done during their two hundred years of marriage. He jumped directly into the other party’s arms. Although he could not smell the pheromones, the familiar scent made him feel at ease: “You adopt me, Yu Hanzhou….”

Dean Shu felt that something was wrong with the situation.

This young dragon met Yu Hanzhou for the first time today so this dependence was too much.

‘Could it be?’

Yu Hanzhou hadn’t thought this deeply.

Dean Shu was very nosy. The more he thought about it, the more he thought that was the case. He greeted the little dragon and asked, “Do you really want to follow him?”

“Yes.”

“Do you want to follow me? I can also adopt you.”

“No.”

‘Follow you, are you trying to be Yu Hanzhou’s father-in-law?’

“Why are you so sure that you want to go with him? No one else can.”

The little evil dragon did not speak again. This time, Yu Hanzhou came back to his senses and understood what President Shu meant. He walked up to Ming Huan with a complicated expression on his face and obscure dark eyes. After staring at each other for a while, Ming Huan suddenly felt a slight lump in his throat and actually misplaced his gaze with Yu Hanzhou at the same time.

‘This is a small omega. The mental energy is SSS-level again, and the species is still the same as Admiral Yu. From the first time he broke his shell, he was naturally glued to him.’ The president was calculating in his heart, ‘Is there a possibility…?’

Ming Huan knew Dean Shu, and immediately guessed from his suspicious gaze what was going on. ‘Ah, yes! Anyway, you will have to get married in the future. Now a little humiliation is a little humiliating, but he did not want to be adopted by someone else.’

Ming Huan walked up and looked at the admiral in front of him who was distinctly cold. He looked at him with a somewhat indifferent gaze, as if he wasn’t afraid of him at all. Yu Hanzhou used to love it when he rubbed the back of his hand with his horns. This is an action of trust and intimacy because the horns are the most vulnerable part of the dragon.

Ming Huan tilted his head and rubbed the back of Yu Hanzhou’s hand with his forehead, which was still empty but would grow horns in the future, “Yu Hanzhou, you adopt me. An omega can live together with alpha.”

Yu Hanzhou’s breath slightly stagnated. Suddenly, he noticed a little bit of an inexplicable and strange clamoring feeling that was constantly haunting his heart. ‘Let his gaze not be removed from this small dragon.’

“Because I am going to marry you later.”

***

In his sleep, the little dragon kept murmuring, “You can’t push me…. Push me to…. Someone else….”

Yu Hanzhou rolled over and swept the sleepy little dragon into his arms, ‘What kind of dream is this? His eyes are all red.’

“I’m…. your… husband… you can’t….”

Yu Hanzhou froze and then kissed his forehead. He then lifted the quilt a little more, and he kissed his husband’s round belly. The little dragon egg inside moved slightly. It seemed to be responding to the warmth of his palm.

It’s nice that they gave a chapter on what if mc was predicted to be an omega. Though, with their initial meeting, i don’t think mc would cling to ml hard. If others adopted mc, I wonder how they will interact and fall in love later on. What will be mc’s life path and how could the advancements made in their og world be done in the alternate one.
Aw they have an egg. Would’ve been nice to see how they’ll interact with the kid. Also nice to see little Xie’s future. if alone or not.
