Chapter 9: Match

Xie Jue also seemed to be completely unprepared for this result, and the faintly scruffy chin slightly trembled twice. His mouth remained open for a while without saying anything.
He only had one son, Xie Shuci, and he spent countless days and nights wishing that he could be more competitive in the future by marrying an alpha who was strong in both family and ability.
However, this was too competitive.
It turned out to be Young Master Ming.
The SSS-level white-feathered evil dragon.
The actual power holder of the Federation military department, Yu Hanzhou’s child who was raised on his behalf.
Then, this was the way for him and Admiral Yu to become in-laws.
Xie Jue smashed his hand like a hammer in his other hand. ‘There is such a good thing!’
Xie Jue slowly couldn’t stop grinning and slapped his son on the shoulder, “Good, good! Not bad for my son!”
Xie Shuci blinked slowly and looked at his father’s hand on his shoulder. His heart was beating fast, and there was a buzzing in his ears for a while.
He– matched with Ming Huan. ‘Really, was he a match for that person?’ There was something surreal about it, like a slightly cool ocean wave that drowned him from head to toe.
“Hey, Admiral Yu took Young Master Ming to the military headquarters. Come on, Shuci, let’s go too.” Xie Jue considered himself as Admiral Yu’s “future in-law”, so he spoke with more righteousness as he greeted people, and he prepared the most luxurious starship to sail to the military building in a grand manner.
“Why is Ming Huan going to the military department?”
” It seems that he was determined to be a commander.” The internal affairs of the military department was something that Xie Jue also did not understand very well, to him a business from the inability to have a say. If he becomes in-laws with Admiral Yu Hanzhou, it will be completely different in the future.
“Junior commander exam, he passed.” Xie Shuci said silently. The snow-white pants were rubbed with a little crease by him, “Yeah, he’s always been excellent.”
“White-feathered evil dragon, how can it not be powerful? Not to mention that it was raised by Admiral Yu himself. As early as three years ago, I knew that Young Master Ming would definitely be the most powerful alpha hatchling dragon, I just didn’t expect that he would be my son-in-law!”
In a private setting, Xie Jue’s excitement was overwhelming.
It was only a pre-match.
‘Ming Huan and him.’
‘Would he refer to the data given by the pre-match and get engaged to him?’
The tip of Xie Shuci’s nose was slightly moist.
A high degree of a match means a high probability of having good offspring.
‘He will agree, right?’
When he arrived at the military headquarters, Xie Jue found the scene was not at all as grand as he had imagined. The only adopted son of a superior military admiral passing the Junior commander’s exam while still being a student at Federation Military Academy was a great honor. However, Yu Hanzhou seemed to keep quiet about it, and just took Ming Huan to the commander’s identification in a very lowkey manner.
Not many people even knew that Ming Huan came to the military headquarters today.
However, Admiral Yu’s adopted orphan from the trash planet passed the Junior commander exam, and it would soon be published on the Internet.
The accompanying picture was an extremely blurred photo. It was so blurred that it was impossible to tell who was who, but there was only vaguely the appearance of Federation’s military headquarter building.
However, the Internet soon exploded.
[It is really worthy of the Federation God of War, actually adopting a random child that can also be taught so well!]
[The picture is so blurry, you can’t really see anything.]
[Just kidding, Federation’s “crown prince” is underage. How can you just take a picture and upload it to the star network?]
Xie Jue was also reading the comments that were festering on Starnet.
He felt very excited.
“Prince? Federation’s Prince? Haha, little Ci, I didn’t think you had the life to be the ‘Crown Princess’?”
“Father, Federation doesn’t have a crown prince.” Xie Shuci pursed his lips and retorted in a small voice.
“Who is Yu Hanzhou? He can pass the junior commander exam at a young age, if he can pass the intermediate commander again in the future, or even senior, he may very well be the next Federation superior commander!”
***
On the starship dedicated to the military department.
At the end of the conference table, Yu Hanzhou, dressed in military uniform, sat with a straight posture on a high chair.
“Anymore, it’s too much to say that Pierce should be assigned to a military cadet who just passed the Junior commander exam.” The one speaking was another hereditary lieutenant commander named Giles, who was opposed to the suggestion made by Yu Hanzhou.
“If every junior commander could own a rare leapfrog warplane, then I’m afraid the pass rate for Federation’s intermediate commander exam would have to cut another eighty percent.”
Yu Hanzhou did not say anything.
The conference table was so quiet for a while that only the sound of breathing remained.
“Of course, if he is not just an ordinary military cadet, but the successor of Federation’s admiral, it will be a different story.” Another lieutenant general began to sing the counterpoint.
“Sorry, I remember that there is a time limit on [dependency] in the court-martial. With his status, it’s only inappropriate for him to want to be the admiral’s heir.”
“The admiral will marry again in the future and will invariably have children of his own.”
The conversation spread out at the conference table.
Yu Hanzhou scanned a circle and said indifferently, “The Pierce was given to this Junior commander with a mission assignment. He only has the right to use it for a short period of time, and it will be recalled after the mission is completed.”
The controversy diminished.
Yu Hanzhou’s terminal received a request for a marriage appointment.
He pulled back his seat and left the dimly lit conference room to go to a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the tall buildings and corridor bridges lined up below.
The clerical projection floats in the air.
[Notification of matching projection results.]
[Name: Ming Huan. Match: 67%. Match: Xie Shuci. Coordinates: Capital Star.]
[Whether to approve the pre-marriage application?]
[Approve] . . . [Reject]
The paperwork floating in the air glowed brightly.
The predicted results matched Ming Huan with the only son of the Xie family, the richest man in the Federation, who holds 80% of the mining rights on the mining planets.
Yu Hanzhou did not choose to deal with it immediately.
Instead, he crossed the long carpeted path and pushed open the door of the innermost suite.
Ming Huan was sleeping soundly inside.
With the passing of the Junior commander’s exam, he promised to fulfill one of Ming Huan’s wishes. And the request Ming Huan made to him was –
Stop Xie Shuci from transferring to another school.
He was a very good alpha, and the future omega of Capital Star Xie’s family was indeed very good-looking.
“Ming Huan.”
Ming Huan heard the voice and the tips of his ears seemed to move slightly. Slowly, he half-opened his eyes, revealing the beautiful pupils of his light brown eyes.
“Home?” He rubbed his eyes.
“Not yet.” Yu Hanzhou poured him a glass of water.
As if he couldn’t sleep, Ming Huan tilted his head and drank half of it before he looked at the endless blue sky outside the window. He was half-covered by a white veil, and said, “Oh, then I’ll go back to sleep.”
“Don’t sleep….”
“What?” Ming Huan grabbed the blanket and did not look back as his voice raised a tone, “This is all done!”
“There’s something.”
“I’ll talk about it when I wake up!”
“About Xie Shuci.”
Ming Huan’s ears twitched again, and he turned from lying on his side to lying on his back as he asked breathlessly, “What’s his business?”
“He’s gone to do [pre-matching]. The results of the match have just come through. The person he matched the highest with- It’s you.”
Ming Huan flipped up and ran his hands through his hair as if he thought that he was dreaming, “Who? Me?!”
In the original, Xie Shuci was taken by Ming Huan through force. Now that he had transmigrated, he was neither tough nor bold, but he coincidentally matched with Xie Shuci. Although Xie Shuci looked really good, his family was rich, his mental energy was strong, and his temper was good….
‘Didn’t Xie Shuci have someone that he liked?’
In this way, he may still have to marry him through force.
He was a powerful dragon alpha, and his guilty feelings could not be smoothed out.
Ming Huan’s face had a complicated expression for a while and even Yu Hanzhou could not guess what he was thinking, but he could only vaguely see that he was not happy.
Yu Hanzhou sat on the edge of the bed and pulled out the pre-nuptial application to show Ming Huan, “I thought that you would be happy.”
On the left was approval, and on the right was denial.
Ming Huan gulped down the remaining half glass of water and was now sleepy, “Xie Shuci won’t agree to marry me. He has someone that he likes.”
‘And I’m going to retire to the agricultural planet in the future.’
‘How can I marry the heir of Federation’s richest man?’
He frowned as he thought about how he would be able to face Xie Shuci later, but he was not expecting that this little hesitation of his would become something else in the eyes of Yu Hanzhou.
“Ming Huan, the match is high enough that an alpha has the power to unilaterally decide to deny the engagement. Engagement means more time for the two to be alone and in touch with each other. Of course, marriage still requires mutual consent.”
Ming Huan shook his head, “I can’t use a number and kidnap someone.”
“This is not kidnapping, this is the normal legal process.” Yu Hanzhou said slowly. He thought that he liked Xie Shuci.
Ming Huan knew that Yu Hanzhou meant that he was alpha, and that he was given more options by the law and was the protected party. Now that he and Xie Shuci matched well enough, he could keep the other man firmly tied to him despite the omega’s wishes as long as he wished.
Ming Huan had transmigrated as an alpha. However, he still continued to be sad for Xie Shuci. He knew that he was willing to let Xie Shuci go, willing to make him whole inside. However, the little omega in this world was too pitiful as the pre-matching result of the engagement right was all decided by the alpha side.
“Of course, you are still young.” Yu Hanzhou saw his face getting ugly, “If you ask my opinion, of course, I hope for you to at least differentiate first, or graduate, and then consider the engagement.”
“Where is Xie Shuci?” Ming Huan was now a little sleepy as his bare feet stepped on the fine pile carpet. His white neck showing the warm daylight shining on his fine skin, “I want to see him.”
Ming Huan sometimes felt that Xie Shuci was really like himself in his previous life.
When the starship came back to the surface, Ming Huan was so anxious that he couldn’t even change his shoes. When he heard that Xie Shuci was waiting outside the Admiral’s residence, he stepped into a pair of small slippers and ran down.
His soft hair was blown by the wind, and the AI butler brought him to a glass flower room on the grass outside the admiral’s residence, where Xie Shuci was making flower tea as he had been waiting for him for a while.
“Shuci, I’m sorry, I didn’t expect you to match with me.” Ming Huan had run so fast that the tip of his nose still perspired a little, and his cheeks looked flushed, like a green and watery apple hanging from a branch in the early morning. “If you don’t want to, I can just-“
“I do.”
Gurgle. The pale pink tea boiled thicker and thicker, tumbling in the clear glass teapot.
“W, what?” Ming Huan took a deep breath, “Shuci, listen to me. If you’re going to get married, I want you to be with someone you like, whoever it is can’t kidnap you, and don’t worry, luckily you were matched with me and I can call off the engagement.”
“Yes, fortunately it was you who was matched.” Xie Shuci’s beautiful eyelashes drooped with a little smile at the corner of his mouth that made him look as quiet as a porcelain doll. “I knew that I would be matched with someone I like.”
The daylight was refracted with a seven-colored glare, shining on Xie Shuci’s slender wrist. A rainbow hung in mid-air under the mist from a fountain not far away. Xie Shuci’s skin was so white that it looked like it was covered in a layer of cream. He had never been so happy. “Ming Huan, I like you.”

And *I* have never been so happy!! I was giggling and kicking my feet! 😖
Awwww! 🥰
I just re-read the novel’s full title and summary, because I thought I got it wrong, looking at other comments.
He’s going to differentiate into an Omega, so won’t Shuci’s heart be broken? Unless they allow 2 powerful Omegas to be together, of course.
I hope they remain close.
Thank you both for the chapter.
Thanks for the chapter!!!
Aww~ this two poor baby~
Still wonder what was the requirement to pass the exam owo
Their world’s matching system sucks. Omega’s rights sucks.
Although they wouldn’t end up together, they could still be best friends that could make a difference 🥺 or maybe they both could just f it all and retire together as ‘roomates’ in mc’s planned star 🤭 _(:з」∠)_
