Addis: I have a favorite line from a novel called I Can Read Minds but Will Not be Marked.

I actually he 2 favourites and cannot choose. They aren’t from a BL novel though, which I hope is ok, but from a classic that has been my favourite work since I read it as a teenager ~ Bram Stoker’s Dracula:
“Remember my friend, that knowledge is stronger than memory, and we should not trust the weaker”.
“I am all in a sea of wonders. I doubt, I fear, I think strange thoughts that I dare not confess to my own soul”.

There’s only one that comes to mind atm.

“Honor is dead. But I’ll see what I can do.” A quote from Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. WoR is part of a huge series called Stormlight Archive.

The entire scene after that is fuckin’ BOSS, guys. I’m a huge Kaladin stan.

I have one from like the first ever book trilogy I’ve read , it’s not BL, but they were the leading light for me to start reading novels altogether. I hope its ok.

I can’t narrow it down, but two of the top contenders are both from Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold. The line about being the man who owns Vorkosigan Vashnoi, and the one about being tired of playing wall.

well, this is one of my favorites because it’s hilarious. feng xiao said to cui buqu in wushuang.
“you are just jealous of my grace and envious of my face.”
the audacity🤣🤣🤣 but he’s really perfect, i can’t complain😂

and from non bl would be, “one does not simply walk into mordor.”👌 by boromir in lotr.
reminds me how frodo actually just “simply” walking into mordor. there’s always a way in every difficulties.

I like this one from TGCF, “The one basking in infinite glory is you, the one falling from grace is also you. What matters is” you”, and not the state of you.” Just perfect to describe how much you love a person, in his best and worse, his strengths and weaknesses, no matter what the situation are because the one he loves is you, all of you.
Another one I like is from the 1st Jurassic Park,”Life will find a way.” It’s so true, life will always find a way to it’s continuation.
