Chapter 13: The Marshal was knocked out by me.

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Karai

A strange substance was injected into his flesh and blood, and the soreness and swelling spread inward along with the wound, but at the same time it was accompanied by a numbness in his back from the hot, wet touch.

Lin Xu’s hand pressed against Heinrich’s shoulder, trying to push him away, but Heinrich broke free and wrapped his arms around Lin Xu, imprisoning him in front of his eyes. Lin Xu didn’t just push him away, they even got closer!

The scent of steel and tobacco enveloped him, and the total violation of his private domain made Lin Xu’s body tense, almost breathless, and he no longer cared to hesitate.

Taking advantage of the gap in his wandering, Lin Xu bent his knee and smashed into Heinrich’s abdomen, lifting the man with his hand and then quickly getting up, darting to the corner and ripping off the mechanical arm before Heinrich could get up, backhanding him on the back of the head.

This was not a light blow, Lin Xu calculated to use 50% force, enough to give the zombie a beating. Heinrich was hit, staggered two steps, fainted and fell to the ground.

Lin Xu threw the murder weapon to the side and gasped as he wiped a bloodied hole in his neck. The wound was not deep and his physique quickly stopped bleeding on its own, but the injection of pheromone made the muscles near the wound vaguely painful and his head a little dizzy.

The remaining half of the mechanical arm was resilient and was swaying from side to side, seemingly trying to attack Lin Xu, the intruder. The previous attack when breaking the door belonged to the non-intelligent automatic attack, the automatic counter-attack program was however controlled by the AI analysis, but Heinrich had set a rather high authority for Lin Xu, even exceeding the AI’s program authority, which made it feel bewildered for a while.

The mechanical arm, with its internal cables exposed, swung from side to side, wobbled, and kept flashing down electric sparks, looking very miserable.

Heinrich was not far behind, and his susceptible period reaction had him frowning even in his unconsciousness.

Lin Xu sighed and, with the muscles in the side of his neck sore, lifted Heinrich up and dragged him to the driver’s seat, where his head hung involuntarily without support.

After four attempts, Lin Xu finally got Heinrich’s head to stop shaking, but he also smeared his cold, sharp face with blood.

He stopped and, for some reason, suddenly lifted Heinrich’s chin with his index finger and quietly examined the handsome face that the people of Interstellar called God’s gift for a while by the strong light outside the cabin.

The scattered thoughts stopped for a moment, how could there be so much blood?

The wound on Lin Xu’s neck had only shed a few drops of blood, how could it not have painted half of Heinrich’s face with blood?

Lin Xu turned over his palm and saw that it was soaked in red, but there was no other wound on his own body…

Heinrich…

Lin Xu began to nervously probe the skin of Heinrich’s neck to make sure he hadn’t been cut by the sharp mutant nails. He paused and his eyes were drawn to a black wet stain on Heinrich’s left front chest where it joined his upper arm.

He touched it lightly with his upper hand, it was cold and sticky to the touch, and the blood was still fresh.

The uniform was dark black, basically no ornamentation, as if the blood was just smeared with water, plain, and the surface of the uniform was not torn, if not touched by the hand, it was difficult to find.

Lin Xu instantly frowned and went to untie Heinrich’s uniform while dialing Arnold’s communication, “Colonel Arnold…”

Before Lin Xu could ask a question, a cry of surprise came from the other end, “Thank God, Mr. Lin, are you okay?”

“I’m fine, the Marshal was knocked out by me, the starship won’t be in danger for now on.”

Marshal was knocked out by a sickly and weak looking civilian beta?

Before Arnold had a chance to wonder, he received a quick question in a low tone from Lin Xu, “Has the Marshal been hurt? He’s bleeding.”

Lin Xu, not knowing much about the structure of space combat suits, couldn’t find any zippers or buttons, so he grew sharp claws and cut the fabric directly on his left front chest with his fingertips, exposing the wound that was still leaking blood outward.

The wound was deep, a combination of wounds of varying sizes, more than a finger long, and the old scab that was torn nearby showed that it was not a new wound, but probably torn again during the fight, gurgling with blood.

Lin Xu’s hand slowed as it separated fabric from flesh and blood.

“During the pursuit of Star Pirates, he left the mecha and entered the opposing starship, injuring his left shoulder.” Arnold replied.

“Why didn’t he go to the hospital?”

According to the existing medical level, repairing such a wound was only a matter of two or three days, so Heinrich must have had another reason for not wanting to go.

As expected, Arnold sighed and stammered for a while, but decided to tell Lin Xu the truth, “The Marshal is a human-dragon hybrid, his physique is special, most of the wounds can rely on self-healing fast recovery, but if it happens to be a weapon specifically for the dragon race, after the injury, contemporary medicine can not do anything, can only rely on the body tissue to repair slowly. The speed is similar to ordinary humans, can only do simple treatment and wait for recovery.”

“Is there a medicine that can be used?”

“… The special medicine is on the Victoria. Mr. Lin, you don’t have to worry. The Marshal is in good health, a little bleeding will not endanger his life.” Arnold was worried that Lin Xu would be afraid of bloody scenes, and he was alone with a cranky alpha in his susceptible period, so he thought of reassuring him, “Have you heard that the dragons on the Dragon Star were injured more severely in fights, but they had no medicine at all, and they all fought hard when they were injured, and they are all alive and kicking now. Marshal is also fine.”

Lin Xu didn’t want to say anything about the interstellar humans’ increasingly brutal treatment, he pressed the points near Heinrich’s chest wound with experience to stop the bleeding.

Arnold listened to the silent breathing over there and continued, “Mr. Lin, I will start the warp engines for the rest of the voyage to catch up with the fleet and rejoin them as soon as possible. The voyage may be a little uncomfortable. Please, bear with me a little, it will take about 17 hours.”

Lin Xu didn’t understand, in the lieutenant’s eyes, was Marshal Heinrich Chu ironclad?

The spatial distortion and short speed boost during the leap or warp voyage would cause the passengers on the starship to suffer from chest tightness, dizziness and breathlessness, similar to severe motion sickness and seasickness. Lin Xu’s reaction was even more severe due to his psychic abilities, but they were minor problems that could be recovered from with a little rest.

But Heinrich returned from the pursuit of the Star Pirates, barely did effective treatment of this more than a finger-long wound, so with it cloaked in military uniforms, at parties, funerals, busy on the starship for three or four days, and his expression was always as majestic as frost, not revealing a trace of pain related to vulnerability.

Lin Xu wondered if Arnold really believed it, or if he had followed Heinrich’s southern campaign for so long that he was used to it.

The communication channel was silent for a long time, and just when Arnold thought Lin Xu would not speak again, Lin Xu’s slightly deep voice rang out, “Don’t mind me, catch up with the Victoria as soon as possible. I’ll stay on Blizzard for now so the Marshal doesn’t wake up and keep trying to pilot the mecha during his susceptible period.”

“… Mr. Lin, thank you.”

“No need.” Lin Xu watched the blood flow from the wound slow down, completely cut off the fabric that had just been torn open, and gave the wound a simple compression bandage. Heinrich’s space combat suit was torn and tattered at the moment, looking really a bit miserable. Lin Xu picked up the military trench coat again to cover Heinrich’s body.

The hem of the jacket that was put down lifted a gust of wind, and the smell of blood was mixed with a faint tobacco-like scent that greeted him.

The author has something to say.

The two men who love to bite each other’s necks.

The Marshal’s pheromone is not a tobacco scent.
