Chapter 27: The pretty young dragon.

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Heinrich just asked a question and didn’t force him, “If you don’t want to go, then…”

“Professor Lin, go check it out!” Arnold’s communication channel came from another person’s voice, listening to Ryan’s timing of this interjection, he was afraid that he had been eavesdropping on the opposite side for a while, “After leaving Silver Airfield, there will be no party, besides, I haven’t left the Victoria for a long time, take pity on me and take me to meet normal people. “

“Which one of us isn’t normal?” Someone beside Ryan whispered with a young tone, probably a new friend he met on the ship. Lin Xu knew Ryan was an idle one, locking him up alone in his room all day to the dark universe could drive him crazy.

Inside the Imperial frontier, it was barely possible to log onto StarNet, and by the time he entered the Abatis Galaxy, Ryan’s last recreational activity was going to be gone.

“You can go if you want, no one will stop you.” Lin Xu replied, his voice calm, unable to hear too much emotion.

“My only identity is your student assistant, Professor Lin, how can I go alone?” Ryan’s voice was softer and more elongated that Lin Xu’s brain hurt from hearing it. “Ugh, are you sure you don’t want to go?” Ryan was worried that Lin Xu would be even more depressed than before after being bored in the room and the series of annoying events before, so he continued to persuade, “The Hill Family is an old noble family, and it is said that their banquet style is closest to the ancient Earth, and the dishes presented also follow the ancient Earth practices, as well as the ancient Earth flowers cultivated in the Hill Family’s greenhouse! The Hill Family’s greenhouse grows ancient earth flowers! There are many varieties of flowers only available in the Hill Family’s greenhouse, don’t you really want to see them?”

Arnold knew that Heinrich had to attend the banquet, and although he didn’t say so, he would have wanted Mr. Lin to be with him, so he continued with Ryan, “Yes, the Hill Family’s long table dinners have always been well known.”

Ryan silenced and looked at Arnold in horror. Arnold didn’t notice and continued briskly, “After the dinner there will be a flower ball where guests can choose bouquets to invite their partners… it’s fun, would Mr. Lin like to try it?”

Ryan became even more alarmed and slapped Arnold’s mouth, pulling him away from the communication device and out of the farthest sound pickup range, “Colonel, you’re a real pot calling the kettle black.”

Arnold struggled, his sense of alertness almost made him throw Ryan over his shoulder, but as soon as he thought about Ryan’s words, cold sweat immediately broke out behind his back. How could someone like Mr. Lin, who was tired of socializing, be interested in eating with a table of people and dancing with a group of people?

Marshal! It’s this subordinate who has wronged you!

“I don’t have a suit on hand for a dinner or a dance.”

Lin Xu had been wearing the space suit belonging to the Abyss Fleet all this time, which was fine with Heinrich’s tacit approval on the ship, but he could not participate in a formal banquet in this highly symbolic costume.

The refusal was clear in his words, but Arnold tried to remedy the situation for himself, “There are tailors on board of Nature’s Evolution who make clothes for passengers, both artificial and mechanically intelligent, and are ready to make suits.”

Heinrich spoke up at this point, “Abyss Fleet won’t stay at Silver Fortress for long, Lin Xu can stay on the Victoria if he doesn’t want to, that’s fine. However, we can have the tailors on Nature’s Evolution make a few suits, one tuxedo, and the rest for regular clothes, maybe for later. For Kalt, too.”

Steeped in hearing Marshal Chu call his last name, Ryan shuddered and hit Arnold. When he was done, Heinrich raised his hand to close the comm channel, and in his afterglow, he saw Lin Xu inclining his head to look at him, his gaze sweeping over the sharp arrow shield insignia markings on his collar and the chest of his combat uniform.

“?”

Lin Xu withdrew his gaze and shook his head, indicating nothing.

Heinrich, “Prepare for return flight.”

It just suddenly occurred to Lin Xu that Marshal Chu, although always uniformed and cold and majestic, was in reality a young dragon who only needed to groom himself.

He closed his eyes and looked out again when the gold outside the front view window flipped up and down as the mecha spun and accelerated, the stars spinning backwards as Blizzard ignited its engines and caught up with the imposing Abyss Fleet heading in the direction of Earth.

The mecha’s wake swept past the Nature’s Evolution, protected in the center by the warship, and past the flagship Victoria, slightly ahead, as Heinrich floated above the fleet, watching the shuttle sent by Foreign Affairs enter the ship from the Silver Fortress, and after the two sides finished negotiating, the shuttle returned safely.

The ship, with the Hill Family emblem on its flowering peaks, accelerated towards the Silver Fortress.

Carl Hill invited Heinrich to a banquet in the name of the Hill Family.

Looking in the direction of the passing light of the ship, the outline of a giant man-made space fortress appeared in view.

The Silver Fortress was flickering with countless lights, but it was now too far away to be seen by the naked eye, which could only trace the edge of the fortress flowing with a silvery white glow, like a floating snow peak.

After confirming that both sides of the handover were safe, Heinrich piloted Blizzard to land on the Victoria.

Later that evening, Heinrich had a deployment meeting to preside over and cancelled his daily plans to log on to Star Ocean, and instructed Lin Xu to get some rest and to go to the medical officer in the M Zone if the after-effects of weight loss were severe.

Lin Xu responded, but did not heed Heinrich’s advice. His body was adapting and adjusting quickly, and with the recent boost of energy crystals, he rarely felt tired.

Xu Xing came to him and asked for tailoring sizes, then he logged on to Star Ocean early alone, went to the ring and played a few games before feeling a little bored and wandering around the Zerg replica.

The replica required a team, and Lin Xu basically did not communicate with his teammates after forming a team, and he was alone with a mecha to kill all of them. He did not stay after quickly painting a new copy, and did not hear the shouts of his teammates who were trembling behind him.

“Holy crap, what kind of luck is this, today’s group is with Unnamed? Dragon of Destruction won’t reject group mode?”

“Unnamed is the only one on today, the two top ranking big Siamese brothers are finally separated!”

“But he’s alone, and still not talking eh.”

“There are big brothers with flying scores, why are there so many requirements?”

After leaving the replica, one would enter a section of the public map, Lin Xu landed on his feet, several players gathered around, loudly asking him if he wanted to join the professional competitive team, generous treatment!

The rest of the players at the top of the rankings were mostly Military Academy students, who were unlikely to play professionally in competitive tournaments. Now that an unknown “unnamed” player had risen to the top 10, all the competitive clubs were throwing out olive branches to see if this expert had a chance to join the club.

But the problem was – the unnamed simply did not return messages.

Each family can only send people into the game to squat on the unnamed.

Lin Xu reached out and pushed the crowd away, walking out in silence, with a few players still shouting behind him about the great deal, the food and housing package, the annual salary of a million!

He did not win, called out the system, directly teleported back to the rest area, directly in front of the personal rest area bumped into a young blonde.

The young man grabbed Lin Xu’s arm, “Unnamed! I finally waited for you!”

The name Silver Moon Sword was floating above the young man’s head, he looked at Lin Xu frowning, his expression showed doubt, immediately introduced, “I am Silver Moon Sword, four days ago we played against each other, we also added friends!”
