“Do you want to go for a spin?” Felix pointed to the racetrack ahead.

Luo Songran’s eyes lit up instantly. He turned to look at Duan Yizhou. Just as he was about to ask if it was okay, Duan Yizhou slapped his head and cut him off.

“No.” Duan Yizhou said firmly, then held Luo Songran’s head to prevent him from looking at the racetrack again. He glanced at Felix. “Don’t provoke him to race. He really wants to race, but he’s been behaving better lately. He’s five months pregnant now, and the G-force from racing might make him uncomfortable. I try to avoid such things as much as possible.”

Felix shrugged. “Well, there’s nothing I can do about it then.”

How could Luo Songran give up such a close opportunity? He grabbed Duan Yizhou’s hand and begged, “I won’t drive fast, can’t I just experience it? I’ve been obedient before, and now that I’m here, and you’re watching me anyway, I definitely won’t drive fast.”

He really wanted to.

Duan Yizhou shook his head. “No.”

Luo Songran frowned, his expression disappointed as he lowered his head. Soon, his eyes turned red, and tears began to fall. Choking back his words, he said, “…Life is unbearable.”

Duan Yizhou was speechless. He’s using this move again.

Felix was startled. “Hey, man, your partner is crying and you still won’t let him race? When did you become so stubborn? This isn’t a big deal. Just a leisurely drive wouldn’t hurt, he’s not that delicate, right?”

Duan Yizhou wiped Luo Songran’s tears with the back of his hand, indifferently. “He is delicate, that’s why I’d rather endure his complaints than see him suffer later. If he feels uncomfortable later, I’ll feel uncomfortable too.”

Luo Songran didn’t know what the two were muttering about. He pushed away Duan Yizhou’s hand and walked into the museum. If he couldn’t play, then he’d just touch the cars. Touching them should be okay, right? He snorted and muttered softly, “…Old man, old miser, getting more and more domineering. Just because he’s older doesn’t mean he’s great.”

Duan Yizhou, who had good hearing, heard everything. Beside him, Felix nudged his arm and chuckled softly. “Your cutie here said you’re old, hahaha. Feisty, I like it.”

Duan Yizhou looked at Felix expressionlessly. “Do you need to like it?”

“You’re indeed stingy. If the little cutie wants to drive a bit, what’s wrong with that? Now you’ll have to comfort him later if he’s upset.” Felix couldn’t help but be amazed. “You’ve changed a lot in just a year. I didn’t know you were so possessive.”

Seeing his old classmate teasing him like this, Duan Yizhou smiled. “Go find a princess, so you won’t have to treat your car like a wife all the time, so cold.”

Felix was speechless. He didn’t expect such a personal attack.

Inside the museum, the comfortable air conditioning was on, and the perfect lighting fell on limited edition sports cars, making them look like artworks in glass cases polished by servants.

Luo Songran looked at the Lamborghini limited edition “Moon Goddess” in front of him. This car was one of the rarest and most expensive supercars in Lamborghini’s history. There were only five of them globally, and the people who could afford it were probably not just rich but also had strong connections. Not to mention the price, it had never been priced. But he estimated this car would cost at least fifty million.

“I heard this Moon Goddess is the most docile in this series?” Luo Songran asked Felix beside him.

Felix crossed his arms and nodded, answering in somewhat awkward Mandarin, “Yes, it has a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. Even after modification, its maximum power only reaches 750 horsepower, so it’s indeed milder compared to others.”

“But this car looks good. The Moon Goddess should be the most beautiful in this series, even though its power can’t compete with others.” Luo Songran touched the moonlight white body of the car. Compared to the wild appearance of other series, this Moon Goddess indeed looked delicate, like a princess protected by knights with wild and cool appearances, standing out.

“Hey, I chose it because it looks pretty.” Felix clapped his hands, as if he found someone who shared his views.

Luo Songran nodded in agreement. “I have a Black Glory, but I rarely drive it. If I had the Moon Goddess, I’d drive it every day.”

“Oh my gosh! You have a Black Glory?” Felix was surprised. “My friend in Dubai wanted to buy one but couldn’t. What other cars do you have?”

“Dodge SRT Demon.” Luo Songran mentioned his most cool supercar.

“Oh my gosh! You have a Demon?!” Felix was amazed. He couldn’t buy one even if he wanted to. This car instantly overshadowed top-level supercars like Porsche and Ferrari when it debuted because the Demon currently has the highest horsepower of any supercar globally.

Luo Songran nodded. He raised his eyebrows. “I’ve modified its horsepower to the maximum limit of 1700. It’s really fun to drive.”

Excited by this, Felix grabbed Luo Songran’s hand. “Bro, here’s the deal. Let’s exchange sometime. Like on a day off, if you want to drive any of my cars, I’ll fly over directly to find you, and we’ll exchange cars to drive. How about it? Will you drive the Moon Goddess?”

“Okay, cousin, you drive the Moon Goddess for me, and I’ll drive the Dodge for you!” Luo Songran nodded eagerly, his eyes sparkling.

The two clasped hands tightly, as if they were long-lost brothers, and began chatting about the cars they had driven over the years.

Duan Yizhou, on the other hand, seemed like an outsider. He stood with his arms crossed, expressionless, watching the two of them chat enthusiastically. He had tried to join in earlier but found that cars were not his area of expertise. For him, he didn’t have the concept of “driving a good car is a symbol of status.” His car was recommended by Jiang Yi. Now, it seemed like he was falling behind.

Then he saw the hands clasped together and cleared his throat lightly, his face turning slightly grim. But Luo Songran and Felix were so engrossed in their conversation that they completely ignored Duan Yizhou, not even noticing his discomfort.

“Cough.” Duan Yizhou intentionally walked behind Luo Songran and coughed again next to his ear.

Startled, Luo Songran turned to look at Duan Yizhou, noticing that his expression didn’t seem too good. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

Duan Yizhou glanced at the intertwined arms of the two, his eyes narrowed. “Looks like you two are getting along well.”

Luo Songran and Felix glanced at each other, immediately linking arms and nodding in unison at Duan Yizhou. “Yes, yes.”

This irritated Duan Yizhou to no end, but he was also secretly pleased. It had been a while since he had seen Luo Songran so happy. Taking a deep breath, he suppressed his annoyance. He didn’t want to spoil Luo Songran’s mood, so he said, “You guys chat, after all, I brought you here to find Felix.”

Felix nodded. “I’ll treat you guys well at noon. How about staying here tonight?” He turned to Luo Songran.

Duan Yizhou regretted bringing Luo Songran here. This place was too tempting for him, and if even Felix suggested it, he might agree without hesitation.

“No, thanks.” Luo Songran glanced at Duan Yizhou’s expression and subtly sensed that he might not be happy. He discreetly distanced himself from Felix and smiled. “Just lunch is fine. We need to go back and pack tomorrow since we’re going home.”

“Oh.” Felix understood. “No problem, you’re welcome to visit my estate next time.”

“Great!” Luo Songran was still observing Duan Yizhou’s expression, which seemed slightly better now.

After finishing their meal, the three of them enjoyed some time in the estate. When it was time to leave, Felix bid them farewell warmly, waving from the rearview mirror. Duan Yizhou, driving out of the estate gate, noticed Luo Songran still looking at the rearview mirror and felt a bit uncomfortable with his tone.

“Are you angry?” Luo Songran could sense the jealousy in this man’s tone. He had been like a jealous pot these past few days. First, he was jealous of the unfamiliar restaurant owner, and now he was jealous of his old classmate.

“Can’t you tell?” Duan Yizhou retorted.

Luo Songran chuckled. “It’s pretty obvious.”

“I thought you were going to stay here.”

“Oh, how could I dare? My husband loves me so much. If he found out I didn’t come back, he’d cry.” Luo Songran teased Duan Yizhou, unwrapping a lollipop and putting it in his mouth.

Duan Yizhou glanced at the rearview mirror and saw that this guy had just claimed to be tired but now seemed energetic. “Didn’t you say you were tired?”

“Not really. I just wanted you to tell Felix on purpose.”

“Why did you want to tell him on purpose?”

“Because I didn’t know you were unhappy. I didn’t want to stay there, so I said I was tired. That way, we could leave earlier, and you wouldn’t have to feel embarrassed. After all, you’re the one who told Felix to bring me here.” Luo Songran bit the lollipop stick, folding it into a ring.

Duan Yizhou tightened his grip on the steering wheel slightly. His expression gradually softened. What surprised him the most was that Luo Songran seemed to know what he was thinking. He thought this guy didn’t know and just wanted to hurt him.

“I’m not very unhappy.” He laughed suddenly, feeling like a silly kid being jealous all the time.

“Then you’re still unhappy.”

Duan Yizhou was driving attentively, not noticing what Luo Songran was doing with his head down. “A bit, especially seeing you laughing so happily with him, getting so close, I feel jealous.”

“Duan, you’ve been jealous quite a bit these days. Don’t you trust me? Do you feel insecure with me?” Luo Songran opened the compartment next to him, found no pen, then glimpsed the pen clipped on Duan Yizhou’s suit jacket and reached for it.

Duan Yizhou noticed him reaching for the pen but didn’t pay further attention as he had to change lanes ahead. “Sometimes, even though we’re together and we have a child, I still feel a bit uneasy. After all, our families haven’t formally met yet.”

The meeting of the families had been discussed for two months, but the Luo family hadn’t responded. Naturally, he didn’t dare to urge them. He knew they wouldn’t disagree, but he still wondered why they hadn’t met formally yet. Was it a test for him? Or did they have other thoughts?

“Why fear when I’ve given you a status?”

“What?”

They were at a red light, Duan Yizhou slowed the car down, and as he placed his left hand on the steering wheel, Luo Songran took it off. Before he could see clearly, he felt something slide onto his ring finger.

“Here, a custom-made proposal ring.” Luo Songran put the paper ring he had just made onto Duan Yizhou’s ring finger. It fit just right, and he nodded in satisfaction. “A ring tailored for you. I’ve proposed to you, this is the status.”

Duan Yizhou’s eyes flickered slightly. He looked down and saw “ZZ & RR” written on the paper ring on his ring finger. In that moment, his heart was struck by something.

Only now did he suddenly realize that they hadn’t even had proper engagement rings yet. It took this candy stick ring to remind him that he hadn’t even prepared a basic proposal for Luo Songran. He felt truly foolish.

“How is it? Do you like it?” Luo Songran closed the pen cap and asked with a smile.

“I like it.” Duan Yizhou reached out his hand, admiring it for a moment. His mood suddenly became somewhat delicate. He looked at Luo Songran. “Baby, I’m sorry. I forgot to buy you a ring.”

Looks like he needed to make up for a proposal now.

“Are you happier now than just now?”

“Yeah, I’m very happy.” Duan Yizhou saw the green light ahead, placed his hand back on the steering wheel, looked ahead at the road, and a worthless smile appeared on his lips.

“I’m glad. I don’t want you to be unhappy because of other men.” Luo Songran leaned back in his seat, gazing at Duan Yizhou. “Although I have a bit of a bad temper usually, and often make you angry, I love you a lot.”

The straightforward declaration of love in his ear undoubtedly dispelled some of Duan Yizhou’s earlier doubts. Yeah, what was he worried about? His little ancestor was young but not stupid. Being able to perceive his mood, being able to coax him when he was in a bad mood, wasn’t this a sign of growing love for him?

“Duan Yizhou, believe me, besides my family, you’re the one I love most in this life.” Luo Songran’s tone was sincere and certain. He reached out and patted Duan Yizhou’s thigh.

Duan Yizhou felt moved. His RanRan seemed to have grown up a bit again, indeed, he had grown a lot since becoming a father. So he freed one hand and covered the hand on his leg.

The two intertwined their fingers tightly. The ring on the big hand’s ring finger, though it looked simple and childish, was an extremely precious gift for Duan Yizhou, “Baby, I love only you the most.”

Seeing Duan Yizhou’s mood improve due to his coaxing, Luo Songran’s eyes curved with a mischievous smile. “So, Felix just invited me to meet next month to change cars, can I?”

The worthless smile at the corner of Duan Yizhou’s lips abruptly stopped, as if he heard the sound of his own heart breaking, his gaze deep and solemn as he looked at Luo Songran.

“I promise what I said just now is true!” Luo Songran solemnly swore, “I love you so much!”

Duan Yizhou replied with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, “Luo Songran, thank you.”

Seeing Duan Yizhou’s expression, Luo Songran couldn’t help but lean back in his seat and laugh.

Duan Yizhou glanced at him, seeming to compromise, sighed ever so slightly, one hand on the steering wheel, the other supporting his head on the car window, feeling a headache coming on.

“I understand, you can go.”

Luo Songran waited for Duan Yizhou’s response, excitedly clenching his fists, almost dancing with joy. Then he leaned over and planted a heavy kiss on Duan Yizhou’s cheek. “Husband, I love you so much!!”

“Sit properly.” Duan Yizhou almost swerved the steering wheel, speaking sternly.

“Okay, Duan.” Luo Songran immediately put his hands on his knees, sitting obediently. After thinking for a moment, he couldn’t help but sneak a smile. Yes, he could change cars!

From the corner of his eye, Duan Yizhou caught the amused expression of his little ancestor on the passenger seat. Perhaps it was the infectious joy of being in a good mood, he didn’t even realize that his lips were also lifting into a smile.

Finally, his gaze fell on the candy stick ring on his ring finger, still retaining the scent of strawberries. He should hurry up and make up for these things for Luo Songran. And maybe brush up on his knowledge about sports cars too.
