Happy 2022!

Happy new year everyone!

I (Addis) know this year hit a lot of us pretty hard due to Covid-19 and things that went along with it. Most of you don’t know but during this year, because of covid, I lost my catering job, got a new job as a cake decorator, lost a grandfather to covid and ended up pretty sick myself for about 2 weeks after getting covid.

As a group, we kind of stayed under the rug this year because everyone was so swamped with just…LIFE. We have ultimately decided to stop releasing manga chapters altogether due to the amount of DMCA’s we have been receiving. We do not want to deal with any more legal claims due to these projects. On the other hand, GDC did get an English license and the first book has been released. With that, we have taken down chapters 21 on of GDC from our site as per K’s wishes since they are her translations. 

Exiled Rebels will be focusing on our translations over manga. In 2021, we finished our next longest novel on our site, Mecha Slave Contract at 304 chapters. (First is Legendary Master’s Wife, 731 chapters.) We finished 25 novels this year. (Totalling 1,599 chapters between 9 translators)

Happy new year everyone! Well, last year was hella messy, both my ExR life and my private life. I even stopped helping ExR around and I feel so guilty about it. I was feeling so directionless and I basically shut myself in my own closet. I didn’t even bother updating life in my book(and I didn’t even update my art account for so many months), and I only knew to just…continue living like walking dead( pls give me brain). 

I hope with 2022, I can pick up my pace, maybe start translating for ExR again, maybe draw something for our novels, maybe make Addis a little less happy (or mommy Addis give me more candies idk -> . ->). I hope ExR will continue staying strong going into 2022.

Happy New Year folks!

I am really thankful for being a part of the ExR community this year. It’s been a wild couple of years full of unexpected and often unwelcome transitions for so many people. The ExR reading community is active and supportive.  Sharing an interest and chatting together was incredibly helpful to me this year when I was leaving a job I held for 6+ years and feeling very adrift. 

I’m happy to help join a team that has given a lot to me as a community member and I’m looking forward to 2022. Hoping our lives start feeling more in our control and that we experience more unexpected blessings and abundance than losses in this new year.
