This year, we are looking for some translators (currently only about 5) to host their novels on our site! There is no need to take our translation test but we do things a little differently here at ExR than at other Chinese novel sites.
We do not start posting novels until they are 3/4 finished translated due to the fact that we have had several instances where translators have bailed midway or had RL issues that caused them to stop translating for months. Once a novel starts being posted, it will usually be posted daily, every other day, or once every three days. This is so that we can have months of posts pre-scheduled on the site and if something happens IRL, the translator doesn’t have to worry about not having a chapter to release to fans. Since the translations are being posted on the ExR site, the copyright will belong to Exiled Rebels but if the translator wishes us to take it down, we will, given certain circumstances.
An editor will not be assigned to the novel until at least 30 chapters are completed. This is because an editor can easily finish one chapter an hour. We have novels you can continue off that have already been started, recommended for new translators.
If you know of a novel that you wish got more readers, feel free to tell those translators! This includes those who normally post on WattPad or Google Docs, we’d love to give these novels a proper home and website to make it easier for other readers to find them.
There is no paid compensation. We will only be hosting the novels, not making money since we do not have ads on our site but this gives translators more time to work on their novels as they will not have to worry about posting or managing a website.
