I used to buy the chapters on Renta in Japanese, but I got frustrated after chapter 7, since I really like Sumi and wanted to know the development of his relationship with Utou. And since they almost didn’t appear at all in chapter 7, I stopped buying it. I’m really tired of Karasuma appearing either through appeareances or people mentioning him, It is like the mangaka just love her Karasuma and the other guy so much, that she still wants to draw them. Even her twitter is always about them.
Sorry that I had to rant a little. I was just too frustrated with the clear favouritsm.

So… this chapter escalated pretty quickly. So, Sumi got no friends or someone to rely to who doesn’t see him as a replacement (Utou) or a cash cow (father) except for the alpha. But he also isn’t really sure if he could consider the alpha as friend, because well… he is an alpha. But at least he can talk to him. Karasuma, as the only other omega in the company, is really bad at giving advices and just in general, he is really bad at being nice and having compassion, He partner is as useless as him for this situation,
Sumi was really honest with his feelings and Utou couldn’t deal with it. Utou always try to be a bystander… It is really frustrating to watch him. First he tried to “help” (more like forced him a little) when Sumi had his heat in the first chapters, and Sumi at that time didn’t wanted to be touched, He already was traumaticed enough, So Utou was the one wo overstepped his boundary as Sumi’s supervisor. And when Sumi tried to get closer to him, he rejected him and wanted to only have a work relationship.
Hopefully the bite will make Utou start to take some actions and hopefully Sumi should try to learn to love himself more. And I would really prefer him to leaves his current company. He is in a toxic environment where he was mentally and sexually abused, where someone (Karasuma) told him not to use Utou (the only person he got close to in the company, it is like essentially taking him the only person he could rely to, and not to forget, it was Utou wo overstepped the boundary first) since he will hurt him. Sumi was serious about Utou all the time, but because of Karasuma Utou couldn’t start being serious towards Sumi. Not because he was still in love with Karasuma, but because he was hurt during the process where Karasuma found his happiness and Utou realized that Betas have no chance between the fated pair crap. So indirectly he was the one who hurted him,
I hope the author wrap up this story soon, Since it doesn*t seem like she wants really to draw this pair and the don’t really deserve this treatement.
