Leave immediately.

Two simple words, but they seemed very stiff and with no room for negotiation. The people on the battleship were momentarily stunned. The captain rarely encountered this kind of treatment, let alone so many people on the battleship who were important to the empire. Although they were still young, no one could deny that these young people were the future rulers of the empire. Even if Sir Louis was stubborn, he wouldn’t be so rigid as to offend such a group of people, right?

“Captain, what now?” After a moment of silence, the soldier in charge of communications asked anxiously.

Captain Kent was livid and gritted his teeth as he said, “Keep sending requests, just say we need to land immediately.”

Now, they didn’t have the option of a second choice. The particle storm was coming soon, and even if they were on the edge, it was still hard to say how big or how long the coming storm would last. Regardless, staying in space was undoubtedly the most dangerous.

There was a flash of red light, and the signal from their end grew more and more urgent, but the other side never replied again.

The communicators were sweating with urgency, but finally, a line of blue letters appeared on the big screen. They were dumbfounded and all stopped what they were doing to look at Captain Kent.

There was no signal.

Captain Kent looked to Yuan Xi, who said calmly, “Land now.”

The soldiers who got the order went back to their posts and the huge ship landed silently in the port of Louis Planet.

The port that wouldn’t give them the signal to land was dark and looked malevolent.

The Poseidon battleship was not shy — not only had it landed illegally, but it also had all of its highlighters and camera guns lit up, ready to fire at the slightest command.

The mentally tense command staff, pilot and shooters were all in place, and the rest of the crowd was present in the command room. Luo ShaoTian looked outside thoughtfully and said, “Things aren’t quite right here. They don’t seem to be targeting us, or else there would be some movement right now.”

Yue Shang looked at Luo ShaoTian and nodded, “I think so too. Except for that rejection message, there isn’t even a signal or a person right now.”

“There aren’t any lights.” Mu Chen added.

The crowd was silent again. No one could still make sense of it. Maybe Sir Louis didn’t want to see them, but the lack of any lights made no sense. Quiet and spooky, the black castle was like a quiet dead city.

Shao Rong smiled, “Why do we care about them so much? Go in and get the key that opens the access to the Landa Domain and just leave.”

Yuan Xi frowned and turned to Captain Kent, “Gather information immediately, also, see if you can contact the military.”

Two minutes later, Captain Kent came over with a sweaty forehead and reported, “Your Highness, we can’t contact the military headquarters, it should be due to the particle storm. In addition, the castle’s outer perimeter has turned on a signal intercepting system, which is equipped with counter-scanning and reconnaissance programs. We can only vaguely determine that there doesn’t seem to be anyone inside… but that’s impossible, because who could have sent that signal. So there are two possibilities, one is that there are just a few people inside that we can’t detect, and the other is that they are collectively hiding somewhere that the scanning system can’t detect.”

After the report, the captain looked to Yuan Xi and asked for instructions, “Your Highness, I can send someone in first.”

Yuan Xi gave a negative answer. He swept a glance around at the group of people leaping to their feet and raised his lips, “No, this is my trial, it’s our war from now on. The ten of us will go in. It’s either we go into the castle, or through the star field and into the Landa sector before the large particle storm arrives. If we don’t get out before then, you go into the castle.”

Captain Kent nodded. He wanted to say more because he needed to ensure the safety of the prince, but Yuan Xi was right, this was his trial mission. It could only be done by him or his warriors, and the captain couldn’t risk it on the Prince’s behalf. And, on the other hand, even if they all went into battle, they were far inferior to these ten men.

The ten of them changed into black clothes and got off the ship. If the ten men that Captain Kent considered heroes were looking at this adventure with excitement — it definitely did not include Luo XiaoLou, who was in fact scared to death, especially in such a spooky place.

125 ran beside Luo XiaoLou with its tail tucked up, its footsteps much quicker than its master’s. Under the cover of darkness, few people noticed 125 at Luo XiaoLou’s feet, and even if anyone did see it, they thought it was just an intelligent pet.

“What are you afraid of? Am I not here?” 125 and Luo XiaoLou communicated with their consciousness, alerting him to its presence.

Luo XiaoLou immediately thought of 125’s reasonably reliable scouting ability and busily asked, “Can you see inside? Is there any danger?”

“Should I say thank you since you finally thought of me?” 125 grunted, paused for a few seconds, scanned the castle and then hesitantly replied, “The danger level is medium, getting out in one piece shouldn’t be a problem.”

What did medium mean? You even thought that you didn’t have to warn me when you met the beasts — Luo XiaoLou was about to ask, when there was a soft sound as Yuan Xi opened the gate to the castle with his black sword.

He reached out and tugged on Luo XiaoLou, and the group entered the castle.

The inside of the castle was still pitch black, not even a bit of the hazy moonlight streamed in, and Luo XiaoLou couldn’t help but take two steps closer to Yuan Xi.

Yuan Xi casually put multifocal lenses on him, and Luo XiaoLou found that he could barely see clearly. When the crowd really wanted to discuss their next move, the signal device in Yue Shang’s hand suddenly rang out sharply.

Yue Shang paled and looked up at the others, “It’s a distress signal!”

The group was stunned. The people of the Louis Castle were clearly rejecting them, but why was there a distress signal?

Yue Shang’s fingers adjusted the signal meter a few more times, then said in surprise, “Wait, this signal… was sent five hours ago. Since it wasn’t a distress signal from the main control room, it can’t be received from the outside at all.”

A distress signal from five hours ago? It was the time when the particle storm first arrived, but the crowd looked at the scale of the castle’s defenses; whoever was here would never send out a distress signal because of the particle storm. And if the situation was critical, why not send a distress signal from the main control room? Because the signal interception system on the outer layer of the castle was turned on, it not only prevented the Poseidon from detecting what had just happened, but also prevented this distress signal from getting out.

Shao Rong laughed, “They’re really interesting.”

Ling Xu suddenly spoke out, “No, I’m afraid there’s something else going on here, they’re not sending the distress signal from the only main control room that can send out a signal, it could be that they can’t get to the main control room at all. In other words, Sir Louis and the others are in danger, and there’s someone else who just refused to let us land.”

Mu Chen agreed, “Makes sense, so the one in the central control room should have seen us coming in by now, and they’ll be coming after us soon.”

Yuan Xi gestured to Yue Shang, Yue Shang again familiarly maneuvered the signaling device. The signaling device emitted a bright beam of light, then the light gradually spread to all angles and finally slowly disappeared.

Yue Shang looked at the signal device again, then looked up and said, “There is a room in the southeast where the human frequency is the highest. Most of the people should be gathered there, in other words, no matter if we are rescuing or looking for people, we have to go there. There’s a man in the far middle room, this should be the central control room, we should send someone to remove him first otherwise we’ll be in trouble on the way since he can use various defense systems to intercept us. Also, there are two people in the northwest, but not in the same place, we don’t know if they are friend or foe.”

Shao Rong moved his arm, turned to Yuan Xi, licked his lips, and said, “Give us a mission, I can hardly wait.”

Yuan Xi clutched Luo XiaoLou’s arm tightly and quickly said, “Shao Rong go to the central control room, find out who he is first. If he is indeed an enemy, take out that person as fast as possible and then meet up with us. Yuan Nuo and Luo XiaoLou go to the northwest. The rest of you come with me to the southeast, if Louis is there, you can save lives and get the key. If either party is in danger, contact the others immediately.”

Yue Shang and Abel looked at Luo XiaoLou in a different way. He really wasn’t much use in a critical moment.

Luo XiaoLou didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. The southeast was undoubtedly the most dangerous, and he really didn’t want to go, but it would mean being separated from Yuan Xi, which was also awkward.

Before he could say anything, Yuan Nuo had already blown up, “Brother, I’m not going to the northwest, I’m going with you to the southeast to save people. Why do we need two people in the northwest?”

“What do you mean? Do I have to go alone?!” Luo XiaoLou couldn’t care less about being awkward and immediately blew up when he heard Yuan Nuo’s words. He was just a weak mecha maker ah, do these people want him to be so pitiful?

125 tried to tug on Luo XiaoLou’s trousers to remind its fosterer that ‘You are a mecha warrior too…,’ only to be firmly ignored by Luo XiaoLou.

Luo ShaoTian looked at Yuan Xi and Yuan Nuo, and took a step forward.

As soon as Yuan Xi’s eyes glazed over, Yuan Nuo’s momentum was gone. Yuan Xi then tugged Yuan Nuo aside and said a few words in a voice that only the two of them could hear.

After he finished speaking, Yuan Nuo’s face became complex. He looked Luo XiaoLou up and down for half a day with critical eyes, and similarly whispered back to Yuan Xi, “Brother, why? This contract – you – you – but the future —”

Yuan Xi likewise looked back at Luo XiaoLou who was indignant and with a softness and affection that Yuan Nuo hadn’t seen before, said calmly, “If anything, my position wouldn’t have helped me to actually keep him. I wouldn’t have hesitated if this life had been possible, and I wouldn’t have lost anything at all, his life is equally tied to mine.” After speaking solemnly, Yuan Xi looked at Yuan Nuo, “The southeast is the most dangerous place, and I don’t want Luo XiaoLou to go there. Besides, I can only entrust his safety to you, and as long as Luo XiaoLou is safe, then I’m fine.”

Yuan Nuo looked at Yuan Xi in shock, and after a while, he stammered, “Brother, don’t worry, even if something happens to me, Luo XiaoLou will be fine!”

Yuan Xi patted Yuan Nuo’s head, “What are you talking nonsense about? You both should be fine.”

After the two of them walked over, Yuan Nuo spontaneously stood on Luo XiaoLou’s side, and the crowd couldn’t help but smile. Yuan Nuo was known as the youngest genius in the mecha competition, but it seemed that this genius boy still listened to his brother.

Only Luo ShaoTian took a few critical glances at Yuan Nuo, but didn’t say anything else. If three people went to the northwest, it was indeed a bit much.

With a wave of Yuan Xi’s hand, the three parties moved on their own.

Yuan Nuo walked next to Luo XiaoLou and coughed, “Don’t run around, it’s fine if you follow me.”

Luo XiaoLou looked at the little brother with a suspicious look. This felt completely different from following Yuan Xi, the sense of security was clearly not quite enough.

The veins on Yuan Nuo’s forehead popped out as he thought about what Yuan Xi had said and tried to console himself: Forget it, he’s just a mecha maker with terrible physical abilities. Besides, Luo XiaoLou definitely has more benefits than others if he marries him, at least he’s good at cooking…

“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” Luo XiaoLou stopped dead in his tracks.

“What do you want again?!” Yuan Nuo momentarily forgot the activity in his mind and glared angrily at Luo XiaoLou. Luo XiaoLou knew that he was here to protect him, the weakling, so much so that he couldn’t move Yuan Xi to let him go to the most crowded place — but Luo XiaoLou actually doubted his ability!

“I just wanted to remind you that you’re heading in the wrong direction.” Luo XiaoLou said, turning around and walking off in another direction.

Yuan Nuo stared at the direction Luo XiaoLou had left, his face flushed. It was a completely cheap mistake, he must have been irritated by Brother Yuan Xi. Yuan Nuo quickly chased after Luo XiaoLou until he was less than half a meter away from Luo XiaoLou. This distance made it easiest for him to protect the person in front of him.

The sound of Yuan Nuo’s footsteps was almost nonexistent, and it was almost like Luo XiaoLou was the only one in the entire corridor. So as not to worry Luo XiaoLou, Yuan Nuo simply placed his hand on Luo XiaoLou’s shoulder.

Spotting 125 in front of Luo XiaoLou, Yuan Nuo said in surprise, “Hey, your fat green guy still has the ability to lead the way?”

“Mn, it’s good, and its name is 125,” Luo XiaoLou named the poor 125.

They walked with it for a long time and Yuan Nuo stopped talking. If Yuan Nuo didn’t still have his hand on Luo XiaoLou’s shoulder, Luo XiaoLou would have been worried about whether the boy was still there.

It seemed a little too quiet. What were those two trying to do, hiding in the darkness?

Luo XiaoLou was thinking and inattentively stepped on 125’s tail as he turned the corner. However, he didn’t hear 125 complain, and instead heard a scream that sounded like a pig being killed.

I’ve never heard how a pig scream but that should be quite a jumpscare 😨 The castle itself feels creepy okay. It feels like XiaoLou’s party will meet some unannounced danger 😱 Thanks for the chapter 👍🏻♥️

Does the Blood Contract between YX and LXL actually affect their very lives? If so, does that mean YX’s own life would be affected if LXL were to be tortured in any way or killed?
Who are they up against here… not Exotic Beasts I hope.
Thanks for translating.

Yuan Nuo is a good kid! He is a loyal little brother.

Interesting, so if one dies, the other person will die too. I guess Yuan Xi didn’t completely lie at the beginning of the story! It’s just that Yuan Xi’s life is also in Luo Xiaolou’s hands.
