Luo XiaoLou stared at the words engraved on the dagger. The righteous tone, the evocative words, and a look at Yuan Xi’s handwriting. He couldn’t believe that Yuan Xi would carve such a childish phrase. He also didn’t want to think about how that phrase had been found, which was too humiliating.

Luo XiaoLou leaned helplessly back in his chair. Xia Zuo quickly sat up straight, as if he hadn’t seen anything. Then thoughtfully brought half a glass of red wine for Luo XiaoLou to calm his shock.

“It’s a good thing you weren’t hurt, or Yuan Xi would have gone berserk on the spot in front of those Kings.”

After he put the dagger inside the storage box from Yuan Xi, Luo XiaoLou was ready to forget about the words. “It’s okay now. Don’t tell Yuan Xi that the dagger has been damaged. I’ll fix it.”

Xia Zuo nodded and silently admitted that it was a wise decision.

After lunch, the party finally came to an end. Before the most important afternoon meeting, Luo XiaoLou and Xiao Zuo finally met Yuan Xi and Rod again.

Yuan Xi’s expression barely changed when he came over. Luo XiaoLou was a little relieved, then briefly explained that he had just attended a boring party, and asked Yuan Xi what he had done that morning.

Yuan Xi pursed the corners of his lips and said, “It’s just a military exercise and show of strength for a second level civilization.”

Xia Zuo and Luo XiaoLuo first exchanged words with each other, and then when Luo XiaoLou was not paying attention, he told Yuan Xi about Yafir’s provocation of Luo XiaoLou in the morning.

Yuan Xi nodded with a gloomy face, while Ron’s gaze simply looked worshipful. Luo XiaoLou defeated a powerful Spiritual Warrior of a second level civilization, even though he had little chance of winning, and he knew nothing about weaponized Spiritual Power.

Luo XiaoLou, on the other hand, had learned another thing. For a first level civilization that just came out, if you wanted to join the civilization development and trade system, you had to have a second level civilization to guide you, and the word guide could easily change its meaning. Many first level civilizations that didn’t understand the situation would become colonies of the second level civilization. Even in those first level civilizations that had been able to develop independently, there were still some planets controlled by second level civilizations.

Now, Telles clearly had its eyes on the newly emerged Empire and Federation.

Luo XiaoLou stole a glance at Yuan Xi and asked Rod, “What does Yuan Xi mean?”

Rod shrugged his shoulders, “You are aware of His Highness Yuan Xi’s temper, even if Telles was a third level civilization, there is no way he would agree to such a thing.”

Luo XiaoLou nodded. He turned his head and looked at Yuan Xi. Yuan Xi’s temper could be hair-trigger. Moreover, he was both soft and hard. Although arrogant, he was particularly perceptive in understanding things. In this respect, he and Yuan Xi were not comparable.

At this time, Telles’ waiter came to inform Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou that the meeting was about to start, and asked them to enter the conference room immediately.

Luo XiaoLou and Yuan Xi entered the huge silver and white conference room and were led to a seat. Not far away, Luo XiaoLou saw Yue Shang and Su Lan. Duke Moga and Yafir were in the second row, and Luo XiaoLou also saw Duke Graeme, who was very fond of Yuan Xi, there.

The first row was different from the other two magnificent tables, on the left was His Majesty Attis 1 and the Green King. On the right side was another second level civilization, the Attius people. Luo XiaoLou saw the red-haired youth who had spoken with the Green King. And the position next to the red-haired youth was left empty, which many people were quietly discussing.

“Could it be that His Majesty Saint Ebner of Attius is coming back this year? He hasn’t attended a party for a long time …”

“But, I heard that His Royal Highness, the Prince of Attius, just finished his training not long ago. It was several years shorter than the previous Majesty’s, so maybe he will come over personally.”

“If he has just returned, His Majesty may not necessarily spare his son to come over.”

As people were talking, footsteps suddenly sounded again at the entrance of the meeting room. Both His Majesty Attis and the Green King stood up on the stage, and the very different attitude from the treatment of the first level civilizations made the worries in people’s hearts even heavier.

“How rude, I’m late.” Along with these words, a person walked in. Although the words said that, that easy tone couldn’t be rude at all.

Luo XiaoLou looked back, along with the crowd. A handsome, tall and thin youth walked in. He had sunny blonde hair, extremely bright eyes, and excellent features. Although he still had a vague hint of teenage boyishness, it wasn’t detrimental to his charm.

“Your Highness, Saint Gerald. It’s been a long time. I’m so happy that you can attend this gathering. I wonder, how is your father’s health?” From above, His Majesty Attis said with a smile. The second level civilization, Attius, was busy with its own development most of the time and rarely made guided cooperations with first level civilizations, so for hundreds of years, the two second level civilizations got along well.

“I came while the old man was still sleeping. Except for sleepiness, he is in good health. I think he won’t have any problem living for another thousand years,” Gerald said with a grimace.

The eyes of Telles’ Emperor Attis and the Green King flashed. They smiled as they welcomed this prince, who could be their equal.

Luo XiaoLou stared blankly at the youth who walked up to them in high spirits. This…wasn’’t this the golden dragon?

Although his appearance was a bit more mature than before, clearly this was still the youth by the lake. If his status was so high, how did he get trapped on the LuoFu star?

Duke Graeme received a look from His Majesty Attis. He stood up and said with a smile, “Gentlemen. Now that everyone is here, we will start the most important part of the civilization gathering. To discuss development and cooperation in the next three years.”

Next, the analysis of the current situation of each civilization, and the discussion of the future development of the entire star field were shown. Then, there were the cooperation treaties between the first levels and each other, and following that, the cooperation between first level and second level civilizations.

Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou also had a document in front of them. Luo XiaoLou scanned it twice. The electronic document was full of imperial words, and the general content of it was that the An Empire wanted to develop faster. But first, in order to join the civilization development and trade system, they needed a guiding civilization, and Telles was willing to be the guiding civilization of the An Empire.

It even thoughtfully mentioned that now that the An Empire was facing the plight of the octopus people’s invasion, they could also provide help, but this had to be based on Telles becoming their guiding civilization, and the An Empire had to take the initiative to request the help.

Luo XiaoLou looked at the document and couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. Initiate the request? If he remembered correctly, that was the regulations for the protection of civilizations in the universe, collected during 125’s invasion of Telles’ network when they arrived.

One of the articles Yuan Xi had circled emphatically was that when lower civilizations became affiliated civilizations of higher civilizations, it might also be as disguised colonies. However it could only be applied for by the lower civilizations of their own initiative.

Luo XiaoLou turned his head to look at Yuan Xi, and saw that Yuan Xi’s expression remained unchanged except for a hard smile at the corners of his mouth. Apparently he already knew Telles’ purpose. When he realized that Yuan Xi didn’t need his assistance, Luo XiaoLou just silently reached out and took Yuan Xi’s hand. Soon, Yuan Xi returned his handclasp, and his hand gradually warmed up.

While they waited for Yuan Xi’s turn to speak, Luo XiaoLou turned his head to observe the others. At that moment, a familiar voice entered his consciousness. [Hey, remember me? I told you that I would definitely repay you.]

Luo XiaoLou was stunned and jerked his head up. The blonde was looking at him with his head in one hand as he smiled.

[You?]

[Why are you so surprised? You are exotic beast, and shouldn’t be a stranger to speaking with your consciousness.] The blond youth winked at him and continued mentally, [How about it? I’ve grown a lot again. How do I compare to the man next to you?]

[…There’s nothing comparable.] The cat’s ground consciousness wouldn’t be weaker than his, and he also had more arrogant attributes. Luo XiaoLou could only say that he was more trouble to feed.

[You’re also great! Haha! You can choose to follow me. I can give you a lot, but also help you. If you agree, I can even help the An Empire a little.] Gerald said, slightly excited. The gold in his eyes slowly deepened.

[That’s not possible. Wake up. We’re married, and I have no intention of getting a divorce. I don’t need your help at the moment. Besides, using our separation as an exchange to help the An Empire, is too exorbitant a way for you to repay the favor, isn’t it?] Luo XiaoLou’s eyes widened. This guy had a smug look on his face. He didn’t look like he was helping them out.

Luo XiaoLou was expressing his anger, when he suddenly felt a tightening in his hand, and then he was yanked.

“Why are you eyeballing him?!” Yuan Xi exploded in a low voice.

“When did I do that? Honey, you misunderstood. I am not interested in his kind of…” Luo XiaoLou immediately explained. Look at his type. They are totally not suitable for hooking up, ah.

“I saw it with my own eyes, and it’s useless for you to argue. Give me honesty, or if I see your eyes on other men again, you’ll find out how I clean you up when we go back.” Yuan Xi said fiercely. After he glared at Luo XiaoLou twice, he then angrily turned his face and refused to look at him again. Despite this, he didn’t let go of Luo XiaoLou’s hand, and the strength wasn’t excessive, only enough to make sure Luo XiaoLou couldn’t break away.

While the two were having this small argument, the time arrived for Yue Shang to speak. He frowned and got up to say, “The Federation would like to ask Telles to be our guide to civilization.”

Su Lan came up to his ear and whispered some more, but Yue Shang ignored her.

Duke Moga looked at Yue Shang with a faint smile and turned his head to look at Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou as well. “So, what does the An Empire have to say?”

Yuan Xi put aside the agreement in his hand and said calmly, “We are used to solving difficulties on our own, and don’t need help from others. Our thanks for the kindness of the Telles Empire, but as for joining the civilization development and trade system, right now the empire doesn’t have extra energy to devote to foreign development. We need to end the war first.”

Attis’ eyes swept over him with deep meaning while Duke Moga smiled. “Your Highness Yuan Xi. If we haven’t received the wrong information, you and His Highness the Prince Consort once traded at the Triumph Auction House in Telles. In addition, since you have arrived at Telles, you have the understanding of a secondary civilization. This aside, if you do not agree to join the civilization development and trade system, His Highness the Prince Consort’s transactions are illegal and he needs to be detained in Telles for ten years.”

Luo XiaoLou froze, then tried to stand up. Yuan Xi grabbed him and pinned Luo XiaoLou down again. If they wanted to add to the crime, they would find other reasons, even if there was no real reason.

“Meaning that the An Empire can only justify all this if it has its own guiding civilization?” Yuan Xi asked after two seconds of silence.

Duke Moga nodded. The corners of his mouth curled up.

Yuan Xi frowned, while Luo XiaoLou gripped Yuan Xi’s hand hard.

“It’s fine to look for guidance to civilization, however, we don’t need any help.” Yuan Xi didn’t budge. “Moreover, I will not leave my partner here, with or without, a guiding civilization.”

The faces of the second level civilizations all changed a little. For a first level civilization that just appeared, even if this was a prince, he had too big a mouth.

Duke Moga’s face was gloomy as he said, “Then there is no way out, someone–“

Yuan Xi’s hand was placed on his communication device. If there was no way out, then…

“Wait. We are willing to be their guiding civilization,” Gerald suddenly said.

Yuan Xi turned his head and said expressionlessly, “Without any additional requirements?”

St. Gerald looked at Luo XiaoLou, who sat beside Yuan Xi with an anxious expression, for a long time, then nodded. “Yes.”

Duke Moga and His Majesty Attis both looked at Gerald in shock. Even at a young age, such things shouldn’t be unclear.

“Your Highness the Prince knows them?” The Green King suddenly asked.

The blond youth rubbed his head and said helplessly, “I’ve met them once before. I owe them a favor.”

Duke Moga turned his head to look at Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou with an ugly expression. From the moment Gerald spoke, his plan had failed. But, never mind. After all, it wasn’t completely unproductive.

What followed was the formal signing of agreements at all levels of civilization. Although Attius had always acted in a maverick manner, actually, as many as half of the agreements were signed with that second level civilization. It was already an hour later when Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou finally went over.

Yuan Xi and the red-haired youth signed the agreement while Gerald stared at Luo XiaoLou. Using his mind consciousness he reluctantly said, [Why didn’t you agree? You know, the horned dragon clan and the exotic beast clan originally got along very well, and also from time to time would have a marriage.]

Luo XiaoLou was wide-eyed and dumbfounded. After he signed the agreement, Yuan Xi dragged Luo XiaoLou up, and coldly said, “Thanks for the help, but, at best, we are even. Besides, he and you have nothing to catch up on. Also, you’re still underage, right? There is still a long way to go before you become a man.” Yuan Xi, who had just celebrated his 18th birthday, glanced proudly at Gerald then pulled Luo XiaoLou outside.

Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou didn’t intend to stay for the palace dinner after that, however, just as the two of them reached the door, a voice had already said, “Why is His Royal Highness in such a hurry? Is it because of our poor hospitality?”

Yuan Xi turned around and looked coldly at Yafir who was walking over in style.

Yafir smiled faintly and said, “You two. My brother has invited you over for tea.”

Yuan Xi’s eyes flashed. He looked at His Majesty Attis who was looking his way with a smirk, and nodded his head. Then, Yuan Xi pulled Luo XiaoLou over and straightened his collar for him.

As she watched the two act so lovingly, Yafir’s eyes narrowed and she turned around to walk forward with a sullen face.

Luo XiaoLou saw that Yuan Xi touched the necklace on his neck familiarly, and looked at him twice in doubt. Finally, Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou were taken to a side room, though it was more like a conference room.

Inside were not only Duke Moga, but also Yue Shang and Su Lan.

Duke Moga smiled and said, “Please sit down, Your Highnesses. I invited you both here because I actually want to ask you to do me a favor.”

Yuan Xi did not look at the tea at the table, just simply asked, “Duke Moga is too polite. What favor can we do?”

“I understand that His Royal Highness Prince Consort bought a piece of land in Triumph for mining rights, and I heard from someone that there are minerals on it that our friends need urgently. I was entrusted by my friend to buy it back at a high price. I wonder if it is convenient?” Duke Moga said. He glanced at Su Lan, and then turned his head to Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou.

Oh, so this golden dragon is a prince of a second level civilisation. Good, he’s useful! The Talles are so shameless, let XialLuo and Yuan Xi do this and that and then trap them using what they did as ‘potential objects of illegal actions’.

Hahaha, I want to see the minerals the ‘friends’ need so much. Good thing XiaoLuo have already mined the black chert, other then the vines, there’s nothing left there.

Thank you for the chapter!!!

I was eased to have Gerald reappear, but now I’m unsure, seeing as he seems to be intent on having LXL; unless he’s winding him up.
Duke Moga is shameless and so obviously out to impede LXL & YX, on favour of YS & SL.
How will LXL deal with this, seeing as 125 has already mined the Black Chert & they have use for it.
Thank you for translating, Your Majesty Addis 😉😉😁, and editing, GT.
