Chapter 21: Winning the battle

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Editor: Mimosa

Isn’t it the safest survey mission? How could a crash happen?!

Yu Hanzhou’s eyes sank deep, his jaw tensed. He remained seated, his spine momentarily stiffened. The words “crash” came out. The casual atmosphere in the meeting room immediately shifted.

“It crashed. The Pierce was one of the few survey warships we had, and yet—” He stifled a curse, considering Yu Hanzhou’s expression: a kid is still a kid, the ship was lost on a simple mission. They had no idea what the two kids from District 18 had just experienced.

Complaints murmured softly. At that moment, the Capital Star monitoring station received a somewhat delayed distress signal, intermittent, clearly sent under unstable conditions.

Yu Hanzhou played it aloud.

—”I’ll make sure you get home.” That was Ming Huan’s voice.

Yu Hanzhou sensed something was amiss.

“I’ll provide a detailed report immediately. Connect with the nearest space monitoring station to Black Star.” After issuing the highest military command, the District 18 monitoring station sent the latest brief.

“Just before the Pierce crashed, the Empire’s zl598 was destroyed. Currently, an m37 restriction-class starship is salvaging debris near Black Star, and just at the last moment, the Pierce should have ejected an escape pod heading to an unknown coordinate, likely Capital Star, if accurate enough…”

Empire zl598.

That exceedingly rare, out-of-print hunting fighter for over a thousand years?

Ming Huan and the others had collided with a top-notch hunting fighter and a restriction-class starship.

Why?

Wasn’t that just an ordinary rare mineral star?

Xie Shuci was on the ship; he knew Xie Shuci’s character, always cautious.

Why didn’t they surrender immediately but chose to confront it head-on at that moment?

Yu Hanzhou urgently retrieved the last message sent by the Pierce, catching fragments after multiple repairs, mostly from Ming Huan.

“You are omega… differentiate… I’ll take you… must destroy this hunting fighter… this way, the starship… cannot be located…”

Fragmented.

But the moment Yu Hanzhou listened, he roughly understood the gist.

His expression turned cold instantly.

The anger surged within him.

It was indeed Ming Huan’s impromptu decision to resist, daring to use a small scout ship against an elite hunting fighter and a starship. Xie Shuci hadn’t stopped him—perhaps it was Ming Huan or Xie Shuci, one of them differentiated.

The faces around the conference table became more solemn than before.

After a brief thought, Yu Hanzhou deduced that Xie Shuci was the one who differentiated.

Because only Ming Huan could operate such precise jumps.

He couldn’t be the one to set this up.

And Ming Huan, he didn’t care much about himself. He thought of himself as an SSS mental energy-level dragon, an alpha, always fearless.

Only if something had happened to the omega, Xie Shuci, would Ming Huan take such a risk.

Soon, the entire sequence was reconstructed by the monitoring station.

The evidence proved Yu Hanzhou’s speculation correct.

The simulation video created urgently by the monitoring station was transmitted to the Capital Star Military Department meeting room.

Report: Within a brief seven minutes, Ming Huan initiated the Pierce’s evasion from the hunting fighter’s pursuit, maneuvering around Black Star. Then, an upward flip, facing fierce winds and turbulent flows within 40,000 meters of Black Star. Ming Huan’s ship seemed to exploit a flaw in the ancient fighter’s wing balance system, evading its powerful photon cannon output multiple times, narrowly avoiding crashing.

Then, some sort of resonance seemed to cause internal chaos in the fighter.

The wing tip of the pursuit fighter began to sway unstably.

It disintegrated rapidly and crashed.

The Pierce lost its lock on the starship for the first time.

By then, the starship had approached Black Star. Within a minute, the Pierce prepared for a jump, forcibly opening the jump rift.

But it was locked again by the starship.

The rift was forcefully closed.

And less than a minute later, the Pierce crashed.

After watching the brief analysis video, silence enveloped the table.

Yu Hanzhou’s face had darkened as if having suffered a defeat, almost on the verge of tears.

Not a single person at the table thought a junior commander should have piloted the Pierce.

This junior officer’s proficiency in jump operations even surpassed that of a high-level commander, much more skilled than dedicated pilots.

However, he might have misunderstood the starship’s restricted jump capabilities, miscalculating and resulting in tragedy.

It was regrettable.

“Ming Huan knows all about the special abilities of starships. He couldn’t have missed identifying the m37 restricted starship. His decision to destroy the Empire’s zl598 and execute the jump had to have a different motive.” Yu Hanzhou’s voice was deep, focusing on the analysis report again, “This wasn’t a mistake.”

Although Ming Huan had a carefree personality, he never erred in judgment or emergency planning concerning warships or mecha.

After a moment of contemplation, Yu Hanzhou seemed to understand something.

Three seconds were insufficient for a craft to enter the rift.

But enough to launch an escape pod.

The Pierce was one of the few ships equipped with escape pods capable of making jumps.

At this point, Yu Hanzhou suddenly had a very ominous feeling.

But why did the Pierce crash, then?

Yu Hanzhou was momentarily lost again.

What had Ming Huan done in those short seven minutes?

Rubbing his fingertips, Yu Hanzhou suddenly remembered the monitoring station mentioning, “The Empire is salvaging debris.”

Why salvage?

“Inform the station to salvage the wreckage of the Pierce. Specifically, search for another escape pod.”

Yes, the Pierce had two escape pods. Three seconds only allowed for one to be ejected.

Although Yu Hanzhou didn’t understand why Ming Huan detonated the Pierce, he didn’t believe, like the other officers present, that Ming Huan’s mere explosion caused his demise. The situation was more complicated than that.

Ming Huan must have made some assessments, believing the Pierce had to be destroyed. Under that premise, he might have taken the risk, planning to escape in the pod just before the explosion.

Ming Huan might have fallen into the hands of the Empire.

As an ordinary military academy student with no official rank, he had unilaterally destroyed the Empire’s top hunting fighter, and the Empire wouldn’t let him off easily.

What’s worse, he was an SSS mental energy level young dragon, and if his lineage was detected, it would complicate matters.

They had to protect Ming Huan, prevent any Empire devices from detecting his lineage to avoid exposing him.

“Lift some of the shields. Establish communication with the Imperial Court in my name.”

“Yes.”

“Reveal Ming Huan’s identity as my adopted son to the Empire. Inform them that this issue requires bilateral negotiation.”

The golden badge on his military uniform shimmered, but at this moment, it seemed sharp-edged.

Ming Huan— was worrying.

Proud yet flamboyant.

Still impulsive and extremely adventurous.

For three years, the Federation had tightly guarded the identity information of their fostered child, but now, they were forced to reveal a small portion for the boy’s safety.

“Also, expedite the salvage. Make sure to find Ming Huan before the Empire does.”

***

Eighteenth district.

On the m37 starship.

“Lord Consul, do we continue salvaging?” An officer came closer and looked at the blown to pieces enemy reconnaissance fighter, “Even if we can get a few pieces of wreckage back, there should be no way to fix it. It’s not just their fighter planes, ours are too. Alas, this pilot is also impulsive, how could he rather die than give in? Our side has not yet found him.”

The consul’s mouth hooked up slightly, and he walked to the edge of the starship while holding a short staff in his hand. He looked at the wreckage scattered not far away, “Rather die than give in, you really think that pilot died?”

“It’s all blown up like this, can’t be alive, right?”

The consul smiled faintly, “Within seven minutes, with a reconnaissance fighter, our empire zl598 was destroyed, and he then completed the leap operation. Would such a person die that easily?”

“Hoth. I didn’t expect the Federation to be so astute, sending such a formidable pilot. Luckily, we’re here guarding the starship; they probably didn’t bring back any corresponding energy stones—”

“No, he brought it.” The consul’s eyes narrowed slightly, and the short staff in his hand tapped on the ground, “Just before closing the leap rift, an isolated pod was thrown out.”

“What?!” The officer was clearly dismayed, “How could he operate the complete leap drop data in such a short period of time? I thought he only had time to open one rift. Are any of the Federation’s basic pilots that skilled?”

“This is not a basic pilot. federation sent, this time, at least an intermediate commander.”

“Hoth, so what if it’s a mid-level commander? This time the Pierce also blew up so much that they couldn’t put it together, they lost a lot of money too….” Another officer was not impressed.

“Idiotic. He intentionally blew up the Pierce just to make it difficult for us to grasp any Federation details in interstellar court—he only spent a few minutes on that black star, yet made an independent judgment. The energy stones on that black star are worth far more than a reconnaissance jump aircraft.” The Excellency waited a while, finally seeing the salvaged second containment pod from the Pierce.

There were a few moments of certainty in his eyes.

That clever mid-level commander must be in the isolation pod, floating in this piece of wreckage before them.

That clever mid-level commander must be within that debris field in the floating containment pod. Because, a three-second jump rift was only enough for one containment pod to be sent in, and one pod could only hold one person. This mid-level commander, to increase the Federation’s chances of obtaining the rights to mine this planet in future interstellar court hearings, self-destructed the Pierce.

He probably didn’t expect the Empire’s people to salvage the wreckage. They must have thought he’d be retrieved by the Federation’s monitoring station.

This audacious yet sharp-witted fellow, if he hadn’t encountered him, would have easily deceived everyone this time.

A pity.

Hoth walked confidently. The royal emblem shone brightly on his chest. He stopped to step in front of the isolation cabin that was just salvaged. Due to the strong impact, this piece of the isolation cabin has been slightly deformed.

Inside, the occupant, Ming Huan, should have felt very uncomfortable and probably received quite a shock. Interrogating under such circumstances.

‘It was easy to figure out the Federation’s military secrets, right?’

‘Let him guess.’

‘This time it will be a mid-level commander, or
. Senior.’

‘Either way.’

‘It was a very smart one.’

Since he was always interested in smart people, Hoth called for the isolation pod to be carefully carried into the shield and opened in his presence.

‘–The young commander, who had been a very good man, was very proud of himself. However, after he had been in his hands once, he would be afraid of him.’

The one in front of him was no exception.

Hoth’s blond hair slightly blocked some of his turquoise eyes, and he very elegantly sat on the edge of the isolation cabin while holding a cup of fragrant black tea. He was not slow to order for it to be pried open.

There was a boom.

The isolation pod was destroyed from the outside and forced open.

And then –

Empty.

It was actually empty.

Hoss’s smile froze at the corners of his mouth.

‘How could it be?’

‘This shouldn’t happen.’

That warplane really had been blown to smithereens, and if the people did not escape into the solid isolation compartment, could this still really have been blown up?!

‘Unbelievable, could it really be that the commander had made a mistake.’

At that moment, even the extremely grip Hoth had doubts.

‘It shouldn’t be.’

‘How could a commander who could perform that breathtaking operation in seven minutes die in this inexplicable explosion?’

“Could it be that he was hiding in that drop containment pod and had been teleported away?” The officer had a sudden thought.

“The containment pod can only seat one person, so one must have been left behind. And this leap fighter must be manned by two people at the same time to complete the leap-“

Hoth for a moment seemed to think
.

‘No.’

‘He saw one.’

‘Junior commander exam, that military cadet.’

In his hand, he deliberately did not cooperate with the situation, and alone completed the leap operation.

That time, the button had been automatically pressed down for the adjustment, as if that a warplane in his hands was a most listened to pet, obeying all his arbitrary instructions and calls.

The man was thin, not tall, like a teenager of fifteen or sixteen years.

However, his legs were white and slender.

Hoth remembered that he had just come out of the bathroom. His cotton pants were half rolled-up, and the bottom half of the feet were white and slender which gave him a delicate and beautiful appearance like a carefully sculpted clay doll.

When he first saw him, he almost thought that he was an undifferentiated omega because of the other’s fair and delicate skin texture.

“Lord Consul, the Federation side has also started salvaging the wreckage.” The distant officer trotted in to report, seemingly puzzled by this, “Moreover, the Federation side just sent a communication to His Royal Highness at the Royal Court, and it seems that the side is pressuring the Royal Court that we have detained the adopted son of Yu Hanzhou from the Federation.”

“Just three minutes ago.”

Yu Hanzhou. Those three words seemed to make everyone present uncomfortable, merely hearing the name was enough to cause unrest. If there were no Yu Hanzhous in the Federation, the Empire would have conquered them long ago. How could they continue this standoff for a full century?

Yu Hanzhou actually had a foster child—

And it had to be someone extraordinary.

Could it be the clever commander who mysteriously disappeared in the explosion and escaped right under their noses?

“Yu Hanzhou’s adopted son, do you have a picture?”

“Yes, but it’s very blurry. The upper house has been hiding the boy well.”

Hoth impatiently clicked on the picture projection, and a huge photo expansively stood in front.

The photo was the profile of a teenager wearing a military uniform.

It was not hard to imagine a mouthful of teeth that were neat and white.

The hands were clutching a large book of information. The entire body had a fresh, natural, and lively teenage atmosphere.

His skin was fair.

The only photo circulating on the internet was a very fuzzy one. It was too blurred to be recognizable at all.

However, the consul felt that this person looked familiar.

“Ming
. Huan.”

The consul’s mouth spat out an unfamiliar name, causing the officers around him to freeze for a moment.

It was the genius military cadet that they had been tracking down.

What happened?

They had been tracking and constantly trying for two whole years, and had managed to catch a little trace of that genius battleship repairer.

However, Hoth instantly seemed to associate him.

“It’s him!”

It was precisely because the warplane had been repaired by him, so he knew that the warplane’s fixed balance device had a defect. He used this factor quickly when a rare warplane was folded in the cyclone.

‘–Could it be him?’

That teenager was actually the adopted son of the Federation’s Yu Hanzhou.

‘This was incredible.’

Hoth seemed to think of something.

After opening his terminal and logging in to the anonymous trading forum, Hoth received several new messages.

He clicked to see.

[Unknown person: Traitor!!!]

[Unknown person: The other party has blacklisted you.]

[Unknown person: You can’t make any more transactions with each other.]

It was as if he could think of the teenager’s furious and arrogant expression.

Thus, he blew up the warplane that he had repaired with his own hands.

‘What a big temper.’

Hoth raised his eyebrows slightly.

***

Federation, Capital Star.

The military department had been in chaos for a full half hour, and Yu Hanzou’s face was extremely bad, causing everyone to be on thin ice. Before an officer could step inside, he was forced to gasp by the rampant pheromone pressure inside, and could only stay at the entrance of the conference room while inquiring from afar.

“Located it, there is indeed a quarantine pod dropped on the outskirts of Capital Star.”

Yu Hanzhou flew over quickly.

All of them looked at each other and did not dare to say anything for a while.

Surprisingly, they could really search for the isolation pod.

That meant that the young teenager named Ming Huan, on his first mission, was actually able to isolate the pod for a leap drop against a restricted starship and top chase type fighter.

Plus, the coordinates were so precise.

The operation and decision were ridiculously precise.

“Send for recovery.” Yu Hanzhou frowned with tight lips.

At the same time, the isolation pod on the outskirts of the city gave a shake and cackled, unlocking from the inside.

The hatch was uncovered with a huff, and the man in it seemed to finally catch his breath as if he was drenched in sweat. He saw a carp sitting up and the blue sky and white clouds in front of him. There were butterflies puffing to and fro in front of him before they landed on a blooming wildflower.

Everything was so familiar.

This was back at Capital Star.

Even in that critical moment, Ming Huan’s leap was still so precise – He did it, and he was sent home.

Xie Shuci’s heart thumped, and suddenly his eyes were red.

Xie Shuci was originally huddled to his ankles and was finally able to break free. He cheerfully stretched the joints, cackling a few times after jumping on the lawn and clattering that large bag of energy stones that he poured out. He looked like a show-off on the riverbank. Xie Shuci was not in the mood to let the little robot things put them away again.

Xie Shuci’s throat was stagnant, and with the medical bag still in hand, he stumbled out of the isolation chamber and ran.

His heart was like a boulder that could not be moved, so heavy that he almost cried out. However, something in his arms seemed to struggle. It was curled into a ball and rolled down at his feet, cackling on the edge of a small piece of gravel.

There was a “ki” sound.

Xie Shuci half crouched down, and only then recognized —

This was a small baby dragon.

White wings, gray horns, glittering fine light.

This was
 a white feathered dragon.

Xie Shuci was a little confused and hurriedly took off his trench coat to wrap the little dragon in his arms, not letting the cars around see him.

He peeled the trench coat away at a corner, and then carefully confirmed the gray sharp horns.

‘Really was a dragon.’

‘Was it Ming Huan?’

Xie Shuci’s heart was beating violently.

‘There were not that many white-feathered dragon hatchlings, this must be Ming Huan, ah!’

‘The bright light that he saw just before the isolation chamber was thrown was Ming Huan who had transformed into his original body and burrowed in!’

‘They! Both of them! They’re both back!’

“Ming Huan, Ming Huan!”

The young dragon opened its eyes a little and raised its claws to scratch. He looked at him with his claws raised again,”Kiri”, and a bit to the windbreaker was ripped.

He didn’t expect to care about the tail as the little tail sticked out again.

The little dragon turned around and hid his tail before then showing the horns again

After arching around, the horns showed out of the trench coat and gave a clatter.

The young dragon finally settled down and did not move.

Xie Shuci held Ming Huan and contacted his home flying machine to pick him up through the terminal. He had just stepped on the flying machine when it was stopped by the military department people.

Xie Shuci held the cub tightly.

He saw Yu Hanzhou get off the hovercraft.

“What the hell is happening?”

Yu Hanzhou saw that the thinly dressed Xie Shuci in the wind did not approach, and if he guessed correctly, Xie Shuci took an inhibitor but was an omega.

He kept the right distance.

His eyes, however, were extraordinarily raw and cold.

“Ming Huan didn’t stay in the 18th district to save you. What’s on that black star anyway? What did Ming Huan tell you at the end?”

Yu Hanzhou asked three consecutive methodical questions, and Xie Shuci looked around the lot of people but did not reveal the small dragon held in his arms.

It looked like he was scared and blinded, and he couldn’t say anything.

Yu Hanzhou’s face looked a little more ugly.

They would have had a more roundabout way to surrender, but Ming Huan simply wanted to protect him.

He chose to throw in the towel.

Yu Hanzhou’s nose was very good, and he smelled a very strong inhibitor’s smell like an alpha and an omega. However, the scent of Ming Huan that lingered on that trench coat was even stronger.

Plus there was the smell of an isolator.

‘This silly child.’

Yu Hanzhou frowned tightly and felt a little more annoyed in his heart so he took a small step closer, “Say it.”

Xie Shuci seemed to have some concerns, and Yu Hanzhou keenly questioned in a faint manner, “You used an inhibitor.”

“Mm.”

“Then go to the hover car to talk.”

The first foot had just stepped in, and with the second foot, Ming Huan, who had been smothered in a windbreaker for a long time, came out with a bang. The little wings flapped twice, and the hover car that had just started swayed from side to side.

Yu Hanzhou, “…?”

He reached out to hold the window for a moment before his body stabilized.

“Ming Huan?”

The little dragon seemed to have turned into a young dragon and failed to adapt so he could not recognize Yu Hanzou for a while so he came closer to smell him. He retreated a few meters with a “ki” sound and landed back in the palm of Xie Shuci’s hand before he pressed his thumb to the tiger’s mouth.

The little robot came out of the pocket of the windbreaker in time.

Ming Huan was startled by the little robot and almost fell from Xie Shuci’s hand.

The little robot jumped to the ground and judged that there was someone with higher authority in the hover car. Once again, as if to offer a treasure to take credit, the energy stones in its own space clattered out and piled up to half of the hover car.

The shiny energy stones sprawled between Yu Hanzhou and Xie Shuci.

The pile was like a glittering jewel mountain.

Ming Huan gave a howl and subconsciously pounced on the glittering energy stones.

A little young dragon would love this kind of shiny thing.

The tiny claws of the dragon plowed into the energy stone, and soon punched a hole in the pile of colorful stones and pierced it, before he barreled a small head out towards Yu Hanzhou.

His head slightly tilted, and seeing Yu Hanzhou, he rolled around again before he turned around. He took the small buttocks and tail to the top, and began to crawl back.

The small hind legs stomped and kicked several energy stones straight away to hit Yu Hanzhou. They hit him neatly and straightly but there wasn’t the slightest wrinkle on the uniform.

There were a few sounds of snapping.

The energy stones went towards Yu Hanzhou’s legs, rolling to his feet.

The little dragon was completely buried in the pile of energy stones and would not come out.

Xie Shuci snorted with laughter.

It was the first time that he saw a white feathered dragon hatchling that had completely transformed into its original body.

‘Really lovely, ah.’

However, he suddenly did not know what to think and that little smile slowly closed up. It finally turned into a very polite and courteous arc, and he looked to Yu Hanzhou as he said, “The specific situation, you can directly ask Ming Huan about it. I am a little unwell, let me go to the hospital.”

Yu Hanzhou vaguely felt that Xie Shuci was different today.

However, he could not say.

The smell of the inhibitor in the cabin was very strong as Xie Shuci had used quite a few inhibitors.

“You go to the hospital.” Yu Hanzhou acquiesced to his departure.

After the Xie family’s flying machine carried this one away, there were only the piles of energy stones and a small white feathered dragon that remained in the hover car.

The little dragon was still rolling around in the shiny energy stones, refusing to come out.

“Ming Huan, what the hell is going on?”

“Kiri.”

“He’s gone, it’s just me.”

“Kiri.”

“I don’t blame you for damaging the fighter, but how did you guys run into this situation?”

“Kiri.”

“Your meaning is that the Imperial side has long laid an ambush, just to be able to catch the shank and win that moment the court martial used the right to the rare mining star?”

“Kiri.”

Yu Hanzhou looked at Ming Huan who was happily rolling around in the energy stones and reached out to the dragon which he fished out.

The little dragon shook his head uncomfortably, and the large piece of energy stone stuck between his horns fell to the ground. He flapped his wings angrily, “Kiri!”

“Once things are clear, then you can play.”

Under Yu Hanzhou’s majestic gaze, Ming Huan’s small tail silently dropped, and the tip of his tail poked back to roll up a small energy stone to the front of him.

Yu Hanzhou understood.

“This is not an ordinary energy stone?”

The young dragon nodded, “Kiri.”

“So that’s it.”

Yu Hanzhou put down Ming Huan, and the little dragon seemed to notice what was wrong for a moment so he whooshed to hide behind the energy stone pile. It was not a moment later before he recovered his human form and his little head peeked out, “Clothes, clothes for me….”

Yu Hanzhou took a suit from under the seat.

He had been waiting for Ming Huan to reach the stage of differentiation.

All of his private hover cars, flying vehicles, and even starships could carry appropriate clothing for Ming Huan.

This was the second time that Yu Hanzhou took Ming Huan to the military department.

It was unlike the last time when he did the Junior commander qualification exam. This time, because he was out to investigate the isolation chamber, he came back with a big show. The young teenager was dressed in a military uniform and draped in a beige trench coat. From the luxurious hover car, a foot stretched out and stepped on the ground.

A corner of the trench coat was even cut by something unknown.

The teenager’s hair was disheveled and looked a little messy.

However, it did not affect his exquisite appearance, stunning the sergeants who came and went. If not for Yu Shang standing near him, their eyes would have been more direct when they looked at the young man.

The student’s features were so bright and beautiful.

It was like a sun that radiated light, forever hot.

A click.

A few photos were taken secretly under the green shade and were quickly uploaded to Starnet.

#Federation “son” #Seventeen year old junior commander #Face is great

Many similarly amusing captions were brought up.

This time, the photo was clear, but the angle was not good as only a little bit of his side face was captured. The outline was vaguely visible as a very handsome and three-dimensional one. However,  the trench coat that was cut was lined up extraordinarily clearly.

This allowed the clear side view to have a broken and resolute beauty.

Soon the Empire announced that the Federation commander was on patrol in Sector 18 when he made a one-sided attack on them.

It even destroyed a Pursuit-type leapfrog fighter.

However, the only evidence that could be produced was some wreckage that was too broken to be pieced together.

The story was supposed to be a current news story, and it didn’t make much of a splash.

However, someone pulled up some eyewitness pictures from Sector 18 of two huge explosions.

News of the Junior commander’s heroic standoff with a restricted starship and brave repulse of a hunter-chaser leapfrog went viral on the Starnet.

Based on the timeline speculation, the Starnet rhetoric fermented and pointed to the Junior commander as the mysterious adopted son of Yu Hanzhou, who had been identified just a short time ago.

All of this, Ming Huan didn’t care about.

After a tense and exciting mission, he finally paid back Yu Hanzhou’s “nurturing grace” and fulfilled his promise. With his money, there was time to buy that agricultural planet so he could prepare for his retirement.

Then as soon as he got on the Star network, he was shocked by the various news tweets butchering the list of hot searches.

#Federation’s future light #Federation’s 1st Military Academy’s outstanding graduate #On what kind of experience it is to destroy a hunting fighter by a reconnaissance plane

‘Federation’s teenage son -’

‘Protected his country bravely.’

Without even divulging his name and with a profile picture, the “son of the Federation” was once again the subject of much debate on every forum.

Ming Huan gnawed on his beef, closed these new articles, and logged on to Trading Anonymous once again.

‘Eeee.’

‘The agricultural planet
.’

‘It was auctioned on time.’

‘Just today.’

Ming Huan: flies rubbing their hands together.jpg.

With a piece of red wine beef in his mouth, Ming Huan confirmed his balance once again and was very excited to go to the auction of the agricultural planet.

However, the doorbell rang.

Yu Hanzhou was still not at home as he was dealing with various follow-up matters in the military department. ‘Who could come to visit him at this time?’

Ming Huan pushed open the door. He saw Xie Shuci standing outside the door.

His dark eyes became gentle the moment he saw him, as warm as ever, “Ming Huan, can I come in?”

Ming Huan nodded vaguely.

His brain was thinking that he was helping Yu Hanzhou to complete his task, which made him feel relaxed and ready to go take the agricultural planet.

‘Why do you have to come to me at this time?’

There was still no impatience on his face.

A stable alpha would not be mean to an omega at any time.

“Are you feeling well now?” Ming Huan poured him a cup of black tea, “If you are in discomfort, you do not need to force yourself. Go to the hospital to rest for a few days, after all, omega differentiation is relatively delicate….”

“Ming Huan, thank you. You saved my life.”

Ming Huan listened to this feeling oddly awkward as he scratched himself and said, “Why, not a big deal”

Xie Shuci was hanging on with his curved eyelashes lowered and black tea in his hand. His face was reflected in the tea. His hand kept rubbing against the cup and saucer.

“Ming Huan, do you like me?”

He jerked up. Ming Huan stammered, “Huh? What kind of like are you talking about, alpha to omega kind?”

“Hmm.”

Ming Huan thought that it was about time to make a decision. He had already made up his mind to retire on an agricultural planet in adulthood.

Then he shouldn’t delay Xie Shuci.

A reserved and wealthy omega like him was perfectly suited for someone better.

“Shuci, I don’t seem to have that kind of fondness for you.”

Xie Shuci lifted a little, as if a little puzzled, and gently asked, “You do not like me? Why in that kind of thing, you would rather leave yourself behind, but also save me?”

‘I did not, ah.’

‘I’m just more confident that we can both squeeze in an isolation pod to throw the leap back.’

“I did not
. Leave myself
.” Ming Huan mumbled.

‘I cherish life so much, how will I not run for it? I love himself so why would I die?’

Ming Huan silently sipped his tea, “I feel as if you mis
.”

“I did not misunderstand. Ming Huan, I know all about it.”

‘You know, you know what? You know I’m going to retire on the agricultural planet?’ Ming Huan’s hand holding the black tea trembled slightly. ‘I hid it so well that Yu Hanzhou didn’t even know about it, and you knew about it?!’

Dragon is shocked. jpg.

“Ming Huan. I know, even if you don’t like me that much, you will still marry me because of the high match.” Xie Shuci eyebrows slightly frowned, and his eyes were as deep as a dark pool, “But- I hope you simply like me, and not just marry me because I’m an omega that’s a high match for you.”

\Ming Huan really did not know how to take this. He could only drink tea.

However, this silence seemed to make Xie Shuci a little uneasy.

“So? Ming Huan?”

‘In the refusal, it would make Xie Shuci very sad, right?’

Ming Huan thought that he shouldn’t profusely refuse since omega emotions were very sensitive during the heat period so he did not want to make him cry

“I don’t like you, but I don’t like anyone either. I do have the ability to marry an omega with a good match, but it’s not absolute. In my opinion, the omega I choose is not necessarily a good match. It’s just a very ordinary omega. To be able to form a family with me, to be able to raise offspring with me, not that rich but a very stable life….”

Ming Huan did his best to euphemistically imply to Xie Shuci, ‘I’ll be poor! Follow me and you’ll suffer!’

He lifted his eyes up a little nervously and watched Xie Shuci’s face as he was afraid that the omega would suddenly burst into tears.

However, Xie Shuci did not.

On the contrary, his face was unexpectedly emotionless.

It was emotionless to the point of being somewhat appalling.

His dark eyes drooped as they looked at the black tea in his hand. He held a stirring spoon in his hand but just squeezed it instead of stirring.

The cup of tea in his hand was held as flat as a mirror.

“That is, regardless of the match,” Xie Shuci’s eyes, which were always downcast, lifted a little, and his gaze crashed into Ming Huan’s honey-colored pupils, “You will definitely choose an omega, won’t you?”

MH is incredible! The Empire Consul, Hoth’s, reaction to the empty escape pod, was really satisfying; he seems a little arrogant, so that must’ve rattled him.
MH, you should know by now that you can trust XS. Just be honest with him.
Loved the young dragon burrowing in the shiny crystals. Great chapter!
Thank you both for translating and editing.

Waaaa so mc transofrmed into a dragon and got in with Xiao Xie. 👏

Mc conversing with ml in dragon language is adorable lol.

Go get that star, mc! 😭 Hopefully Xiao Xie doesn’t do anything drastic. Let you remain as a friend and not go down a mob chara’s path.
