Do you wish that Novel Updates had a good and bad button on reviews instead of just ‘like’ so that terrible/partial reviews/people who can’t even construct a sentence get sent to the bottom?
Addis: Did you know you can report reviews and get them taken down if they make fun of the translator or give false Information about the novel.
Gaeatiamat: Yeah, but I was just talking about badly written reviews or reviews that create a false impression because the writer is delusional about what is romance, not a deliberate false info thing. Or it gives tons of spoilers without using the ‘spoiler’ feature.
Surely it should have. I mean if you dont like the translator or story, why dont you translate or write a story yourself without being frustrated on them.
I believe in karma.
Yes, it should. I would not want to read reviews without justification why it is good/bad cause it really depends on preference. Good/bad for someone, might not be good/bad to others. And I hate reviews with spoilers, it ruins your excitement in reading a story.
I did notice there’s approval for our comments in E&R. I think it started after K’s case? I also don’t like people who make fun/degrade other people. If you don’t like it, then don’t read it! No need to comments/give reviews too.
Yes, I think all sites should have this.
Especially useful for reviews that have little or nothing to do with the actual novel, but just moan about the behaviour of character(s), as though they’re real people, in a real life situation, and not fictional in a fantasy novel!
That drives me nuts.
Why read fantasy/fiction and then complain about age gaps, rape (even when it’s not) etc, whilst there are omegas, mpreg etc, which don’t even exist! Sorry, off on a slight tangent.
