Hey everyone!
MXTXās books have officially been released in English!!Ā
Please buy the official version of GDC! (Affiliated Links)
Book 1
Book 2
Book 3
By the time you read this, my translations of MDZS, from Chapter 20 onwards, will have been removed from ExRās website. Seeing years of my work deleted from the web will be quite heartbreaking, but it was certainly the right thing to do. I had no hesitation, and I have no regret.
To everyone who read my translations, who supported me throughout the journey, who joined and contributed to the English-speaking danmei fandom ā words cannot describe how grateful I am. When I first started translating the story back in 2017, I would never have imagined that so many people from around the world would be reading danmei stories. It all happened so fast that on some days I still canāt believe it. I mean, weāre getting licensed English danmei now?? Absolutely wild.
On the flip side, Iāve also experienced a lot of pain and frustration over the past few years. Apart of me felt compelled to write about it, to type up every detail and prove to the world just how much I had been suffering, to challenge every baseless accusation thrown at my work, to point fingers, to go out with a bang. But I decided against it at the last minute ā no, more like I was suddenly able to let go of it. Maybe Iām just too tired. Or maybe Iāve finally come to accept that the only acceptance and acknowledgment over which I have control are my own.

In the future, I will no longer post any new fan translations or danmei translations on my main account (@6989kaye). I will, however, be finishing up some current projects (The Missing Piece, Dawning/After Dawn, Huaye when NPSS finally updates it, etc.), but when those are finished, I doubt Iāll do much other than keeping up to date with fandom shenanigans and retweeting fan art. I will still be translating, though, and Iāll keep on translating for a long time. Weāll probably meet again, in some corner of the translation world.
Also, Twitter mutuals: if youād like to keep in touch, feel free to DM me for my priv!
Other than that, once again, thank you for your support along the way. If you enjoy MXTXās stories, please consider supporting her by buying licensed English translations! Her stories have saved me in the darkest of times, and it makes me happy beyond words to see them reach such a wide audience. All I had ever wanted was to share my niche little interest with the world and make some more friends. In this regard, it truly is a wish come true, and I am thankful for everyone who made it happen.
All the best,
K.

Thank so so much for translating this at all. I’ve been coming back to re-read, ’cause this is my comfort story. Big big congrats to MXTX for realising official translation (I’m waiting for the books to arrive), and I hope I’ ll see K translations somewhere in the future. Good luck ā¤ļø
I just wanted to say thank you so so much for all your work over the years. This was where I fell in love with MXTX and I canāt express how much it became a part of my life. I bought the books and they just arrived. Iām so excited to have them but when I realized I could never read your version again I cried because I was really attached to the version I fell in love with. The official versions are good but there was just something really special about yours. Thank you, and Iāll miss your work.
For me your translation of Gdc will forever remain the original, my introduction to a great series . i am one of the recent readers . This site really became a special place for me. Guess i got lucky to read it all before it got removed. Thank you for the translations. Keep up the good work. š
I am sad to see MDZS gone from here, it’s been a great ride. While I pre-ordered MXTX’s translated official books & received them, I read the original MDZS from here.
I truly cannot thank you enough for all you have done for myself & so many others who were introduced to the wonderful works by the talented MXTX. š
MDZS is one of my fav Yaoi related stories, the other is Viewfinder from Yamane Ayano, both of which I found during hard times in my life & been blessed to find each. š
just popping on here to add my thanks for all your hard work. this was the first danmei i ever read, and your translation really brought it to life for me. i read this story at a very difficult point in my life and in some ways it really got me through that tough time. it also inspired me to start studying chinese!
thank you so much, and i wish you every success in your future!!
Thank you!
It was your translation and work that I got to know MDZS, one of the greatest stories ever.
To support MXTX, I bought the English translation but your work is still the best rendition, so I regret that you haven’t been chosen to do the official translation.
It’s your wording I still have in my mind, your understanding of Chinese culture and literature, how you captured the author’s liveliness, spirit and humor.
So sorry that at the end you got so much pain. Please don’t give up, despi
I’m heart broken! You took it down too soon . it’s only the first book out of three that is out. I have bought the first and pre-order the other two. I thought I would be able to continue reading the end of the novel here. Where I always come when I need itšØ.
Your translation is the best and I’m so grateful to you.Thank you so muchā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤
I bought the books they arrive tomorrow! Iām excited because I fell for the books through your translations! Thank you for your hard work. Your was the first translation site I ever subscribed and tried. Thank you for opening a new world for me. I too also write on and English website. I have fond memories of going back and looking at my work. So the pain of having to remove your blood sweat and tears is difficult but will pass. Looking forward to more great stories
Thank you so much for translating, K! I can’t even imagine how much work you put into it, but I am forever grateful to you. I think its so honourable of you to support the original author with official translations. I wish you all the best!!
Oh damn. Though heartbreaking to see it all removed I guess its understandable (Even though I was already half way through re reading it for the 5th time š„²). But nevertheless thank you ever so much for even translating it in the first place. After watching the doghua and someone told me there was a translation, I was on it with a click of a finger. And I will never forget how I felt reading it for the first time with such a wonderful translation. It definitely wasn’t a waste.
Looks like i got here too late.. I wanted to read it here over a year ago but haven’t been able to as it reminded me of an ex who introduced it to me, and only decided to start reading a few days ago, only to find out that your translation was taken off. It’s the morally just thing to do, but I can’t help but feel terribly disappointed that I won’t be able to read your translation of it. I wish I started reading it sooner.
ššššš While I understand I am upset I cant read it here anymore. I HAVE bought the print versions, but the first book wont arrive for a month, then I’ve gotta wait for the other books to be released!! I just wanted to read my favourite story here while I wait for my copies!! š¢šššš
But I do thank you for the excellent translation, and appreciate your hard workšššš Sorry if i sounded unappreciative, but I come here to read this book when I feel upset, and it always improves my mood. The wait for my print copies to arrive is gonna be extremely hard š
I admit I am also quite sad, but I still fully respect your decision. I want to say thank you for translating GDC because I wouldn’t be able to find such a great novel if not for that. Wishing you and author the best!! I hope many people buy the book <3
I enjoyed your translations very much, K. Because of your hard work, I’ve gone ahead to buy MXTX’s works (all 3 books) and will continue to buy all of it till it ends. Without your translations, I will never be able to truly enjoy her works. Thank you for everything. Whilst it hurts me to see the unofficial translations gone but it is a necessary step. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for everything.
Thank you so much for translating MDZS for everyone here to read, and while I’m sorry you need to take it all down I’m also very happy for MXTX finally releasing an official translation! For me MDZS was the very introduction to danmei/xianxia/chinese novels altogether and I couldn’t be more grateful. Your translation is beautiful, it brought the story to life. Thank you again for the hard work, and take care ā¤
Thank you so much for your hard work on MDZS. While it wasn’t really my first danmei, it definitely contributed to my deep dive into it, so you could say that you are one of the reasons I was able to discover so many beautiful books! So a big thank you for expanding my literary world! I ordered the books but, like many others apparently, your translations will always have a place in my heart. I honestly wish you the best on your future translating adventures. Happy new year to everyone!
Thank you so much for translating this masterpiece. I’ve been following the translation of this novel years ago back when the translation was still long unfinished, and I still remember my feelings of eagerly waiting for Mondays to arrive so I could read a new update. Back then I was the only one among my friends reading Chinese novels, and now MDZS is such a rave that it has translations in many languages. Your translation is excellent which greatly helped me in enjoying the novel. Thank you
Thank you K!
MDZS was the first danmei I read, so thank you very much for sharing your translation with us and for the great dedication you put into each line. I hope this 2022 brings you a lot of happiness and many successes.
Thank you so much to the translator (Kaye, right?). Words cannot describe how grateful I am that you decided to translate GDC. It opened up a new world for me. I got to know the beauty of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian because of you. It was really heartbreaking but what needs to be done needs to be done. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Dear K, thank you for GDC. It is the reason I started reading BL novels and frankly I cannot imagine not doing so going forward. I am sorry for the heartache you experienced with the loss of your hard work. I do however respect your grace in moving on. Good luck with college and I wish you a happy new year.
Thank you so much for translating this and for all your hard work! I hope you have a happy new year! Thank you so much!!!!ššš
Before anything else. Happy 2022!!!! :- )
I just got back to re-read once again but couldn’t see my saved favorite chapters. I respect and understand the decision. I will also buy MXTX’s official translation soon. I was glad to have read your GDC translation since 2019. It also helped me a lot too. It will forever stay in my mind and heart. <3
Thank you so much for translating. Big hugsssss!!!! :- )
Cheers to new great things to come. Good luck!!!!! :- )
I was writing a long ass speech here but decided against it. All I just want to say to you, K, is thank you. Thank you so much š„ŗ
I read mdzs and for me your translation are the best one, i dont know why they used suki one. i do read the official translation one, and i still think yours better, and more lack of error. for the offcial one, i can see that suki love heaven official blessing more, and its feel more less errorly and loved compare to mdzs one. damn i do think its better you to take the mdzs one and suki just focus on HOB one.
