So, we’ve been getting a lot of people who are mad at us over making the most recent chapter of LMW user only. However, after 24 hours, the chapter is avalible for everyone. Only for the first 24 hours is it user accessible only.
I also heard a rumor that LMW will be taken off of Novel Updates due to this. But we are not stopping releases, or even making all releases user only.
24 hours after the chapter release, it is made public. You do not have to make an account if you don’t want to, only if you want the most recent chapter immediately as it is released.
If you make an account, you’ll get the most recent chapter as well as access to the full books that we made into epub, mobi, pdf etc.
On that note, if you’re so frustrated about the way we do things, you don’t have to read our releases. You don’t even have to come to our site. There are plenty of novels out there and we do not have to deal with anyone who badmouths us or degrades our work.
That’s my rant and explanation for the day.

Some people are so ungrateful. you donāt have to give explanation to those guys, first and foremost itās their fault why you guys made this user-only. they canāt follow the rules, so they get to suffer consequences and they have the nerve to get mad?! wow, they must be pretty thick skin to say that.
It’s not that difficult to make an account. People who follow LMW daily, definitely can take a few minutes of their day to create one. Those who read casually are just one chapter behind, they are making such a big fuss over something so small. You guys do an amazing job and don’t owe explanations to anyone, you can put the rules you want; after all, we are reading for free thanks to your dedication.

Even if they were for registered users forever I wouldn’t mind cause I only read them here.
The complaining ones must be people who gets money for stealing your releases, and no one cares about them.
I’d honestly be surprised if it got taken off NU for this, there’s plenty of novels on there with password-locked chapters (essentially the same as having a user account for this site) or translators who publish an “unedited” version of the chapters and then post the official translation weeks to months later.

Getting registered isn’t even a difficult process and appalls me as to why people would complain. You guys do amazing work and it should be at your discretion what you want to do with your releases … 24 hours / 12 hour wait is completely normal!

I don’t see a problem here (for readers I mean – register or wait 24h it’s not a big deal at all) and you definitely have the rights to work and release the chapters the way you want to do it. I think people should not complain about it.
NU is the problem for new readers – for example I often don’t look at the novel if I see that it’s not updated since a long time. But the chapters are accesible after 24h period of time – so it should be ok to update them then? I hope that they wouldn’t make problems for you : (

My only prob was finally realizing NU only posted the unlocked chapters. I finally figured out just to come here directly each evening for the latest news. Duh. š
