Does ending a book make you feel like you are ‘breaking up’ with the story? Like it’s been so good giving you all the ups and downs but you need to end it, be it in HE or BE.

Only when the story goes on so long that I’m wishing I was at the end. Lol I feel like some authors push their stories beyond what they should for length or more details.
the only reason why i’d reach the end of a book is because of a certain character or a certain dynamic between characters, etc.
i don’t really tend to stick around for the ending if it’s not worth it
No.
If it’s a good story, it lives rent free in my head. If it’s a bad one, forget it and move on.
I don’t invest as much feelings into a story as I would another human. Even a really good one.
Every book is unique, regardless of the whether the story is good or bad, it will always be alive in my memories. I like to empathize with my books, get into each character’s feelings, cry or laugh with each novel. I love to read, there is no breakup, just the feelings until they are filed away by the mind and go on to the next reading.
Nope.
if i really enjoyed the story, it needs tons of spongebob’s episodes for me to let go of the book a bit.
before i let go of the book, i can’t start to read a new book. i won’t focus.
no but i really like it when there are extras.
