Today there is no question. I want to make today editor appreciation day because I feel like they don’t get enough recognition for the hard work they do. Editing something from Chinese to English isn’t a scientific process and there will be errors no matter how hard we try to fix it. I want everyone to thank the editors of ExR and give them lots of love because they deserve the world.
It’s comments like the one below that makes it really hard to remember what we are doing everything for: our own enjoyment. These sun spots do not pay to read our work and do not even say thank you. Comments like these really irritate me because they have the ability to email us and be like, “Hey, I noticed some errors in your novels, are you looking for any editors at this point in time?” But instead write a long comment about how horrible something is but they do nothing.
Do note that messages like these do get trashed and the users get banned from leaving further comments. You’re lucky I don’t ban your IP from the entire site.
So thank you KarateChopMonkey, Gaeatiamat, SoothingSweets, CaiCaiCat, Sulo and any other editor I’ve had in the past.
Please remember to be nice to the translators and editors of the novels you read. Give everyone a thank you and no harsh words.

personally, if they think they can do a better job, why didn’t they offer their help.
if they can’t offer any help, at least point the errors in a nicer way; in case the editors will fix them someday.
remember, people. we read the translations for FREE! be grateful! translators and editors are human. they have their own life too outside the internet.
if you can’t bear the errors, just leave quitely.

Criticsm is one thing, but it can be done politely, whilst at the same time showing appreciation for the far greater percentage that person was able to easily understand!
I love reading the novels translated on this site and am always amazed at the way a language as complex as Chinese is so well brought to life by your fabulous editors.

You know, I read it again and I can’t still beleive it. You are taking of your time to translate, and for free, wonderful BL novels. Because of you I discovered a new world and masterpiece and I will forever greatful for having me discovred and fall in love with GDC (K did an amazing job along with your team) and others like Heart of a smith, ect… You translation is perfect because I read the soul of the novel.
